This is a strong first book in the MC genre for this author. It is dark and gritty and deals with issues if rape and torture. While the outcome was the expected HEA, the pathway to it had some twists and turns and kept my attention all the way to the end. I do wish there had been better editing and/or proofreading as I found a fair number of typos, but not enough to downgrade my review.

Thea has been abused by her step-brother Daniel and now that she is an adult the time has come where he wants to amp up his torture. Thea flees and finds an unlikely ally in Cane, a member of the Forever Midnight MC. He is instantly hooked on Thea and vows to protect her but Daniels reach is far and wide and Thea is quickly becoming a sacrifice that his club may need to make.
This was not what I expected. There were a lot of contradictions in Thea and I was really surprised by how the story unfolded. I wanted to like this but just too many things bothered me about the characters.

There’s no way a real person wrote this. If this wasn’t written by AI I would be truly shocked. “I suddenly became aware of the beer soaking through my jeans and onto my skin, and the shards of glass we were all sitting amongst. “We need to stand,” I said before standing. The others followed.” Girl what. If a person wrote this then you for sure didn’t have anyone edit or review it before publishing. Why are we narrating something and immediately doing it and changing no verbiage, it felt like you had a word quota and were doing everything to reach it but the books feels like it was written by a 15 year old or AI.

A good start for this series. For my taste the change from an afraid, tortured girl to a sexloving biker girl, was much to fast.
The action was good. Sadly, we didn't get to know the other characters beside Thea.

Victoria Gale is a new author for me and I must say Cane's Promise: Forever Midnight MC was an exciting, thrilling MC story about two people who will pull at your heart from beginning to end. Thea a young woman who had a tragic life growing up which left her used, broken and tortured by a family member. She escapes her tormentor and tries to start a new life, but things are not what they seem. Cane, member of the Forever Midnight MC is drawn to Thea when they first meet and saves her from danger. Now these two form a relationship that no one will ever be able to break. Cane will do all he can to protect her as he has promised that no one will harm her again. But can Cane keep his promise when his brother interferes placing Thea in danger as well as the friends she has made. This story had it all drama, violence, murder, betrayal and plenty of steam with all of the twist and turns. What a great start to this new MC series by Victoria Gale, can't wait for book 2. This is a must read and I highly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book!!

First things first; I really like the cover of this book!
Cane’s promise is book one in the ‘’forever midnight mc’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and action packed. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. Cane’s promise is the first book of Victoria Gale’s that I have read.
I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline action packed. Thea is a young woman that has been put through hell. After making her last escape Thea soon realises that evil is catching up to her. Cane is intrigued and wary soon as he meets Thea. He soon becomes determined to protect Thea and make her his woman.
The chemistry between Thea and Cane is clear to see and I liked them as a couple.
I really hated Thea’s mother and step family, especially Daniel.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait to read more books from this series.

I have mixed emotions on this book. I wasn’t sure I even liked this book at 40%. I honestly couldn’t tell you even now, if I liked it or not😅
Cane was very contradicting one minute he was like is Daniel your pimp or something and then a few pages later he was like Thea is mine🤷♀️
The motorcycle club aspect was honestly a bit cringe for me. I can’t remember the last time I read one but this just wasn’t executed well. Also why is everyone convinced Thea is a crack whore. She doesn’t look or act like one but it’s like the first thing that comes out of everyone’s mouths like wtf
I did like cherrie, she was a nice no shit taking character. The ending had nice one and the epilogue rounded the story up well. The book was okay and I finished it but I won’t be reaching for the next one.

When an abused young woman is sheltered in bar owned by a motorcycle club one would expect chaos. The attraction of Thea to Cane was instant, reciprocal and uncharacteristic for her background. This is a very fast read and appears to be the beginning of a series about the members of Forever Midnight Motorcycle Club.

Oh my gosh Cane's Promise is WONDERFUL and an absolute MUST READ new MC series. Thea has been through HELL with her family and finding Cane was her salvation. Thea's story is tragic, painful, heartbreaking and in the end beautiful. You don't want to miss out on Cane's Promise. Victoria Gale has a definite better than 5 star read.

This book was good for a first book about an MC. The characters could have been fleshed out more especially Cane. I am really glad Caleb was redeemed. He came through for Thea and Cane when they needed him.
The sex scenes were hot!!! Cane was just the right amount of alpha and Thea came into her own. I can't wait to read more about the MC

Rare for me
To give a 2. I feel so bad about it but this book was lacking in so many ways. The inconsistencies, the rushed dialogue, the elementary rush of the sexy parts, no real building of characters. It was just rough. I was going to DNF at about 25% but I hate doing that so I read and skimmed the rest. It had potential but just wasn't there for this book.

I love me a mc romance, this one was okay but everything was so vague, the club, the FMC family business, etc. I usually like a insta love but this one just didn’t click, I’m not sure why tho. The spice was okay even tho I was under the impression the FMC was virgin so that was a little strange maybe it was just me. Overall, it was an okay read.

Nice start for a first time MC book and a good read. Enjoyed the storyline. Not a fan of Caleb but I really liked Cane and Thea. Their chemistry was immediate and passion filled. Can’t wait to see how the series evolves and the author grows .

This was a good book, but it seems a bit rushed. Thea is timid and scared the first few chapters and then straight away she is this confident woman who loves sex.
The story line is a good one, and the book is still a good one too, i just think it could have had more put into it.

the change in personality of the fmc was just drastic. going from a traumatic home life, running away and then having an instant attraction/lust for the mmc and jumping straight into bed with him at the first opportunity, just didn't make sense
