A couple of drinks. A random stranger. It was only supposed to be one night.
Turns out, the stranger is Julian Reyes. Formidable businessman. And my brother-in-law's new business partner. Chairman of Trinity Academy. Where I've just enrolled as a student. Coldhearted jerk. Who also happens to be ridiculously hot.
Whenever we meet, it doesn't help I'm reminded of how amazing his hands felt on my body. Yeah, definitely not how I imagined my first year of college.

5 JULIAN STARS!! Wow, Julian is as perfect as I thought he would be. Julian is hot, smart, confident and a protector. Julian and Jamie have so much chemistry they are exploding off the pages. Their story will keep you on the edge of your seat with the suspense. I enjoyed catching up with the other guys from the Trinity Academy series. I read this book in one sitting. You should definitely read this book and series.
Michelle Heard’s way of writing is phenomenal. She does the near impossible with me. It’s rare for me to enjoy a book with insta love and where the H is an alpha sweetheart. (Pretty much an a**hole to everyone but his lady) Well. Michelle makes me fall head over heels for her male characters!
You first meet Julian in Falcon’s book which is book 1 of the Trinity Academy series. He’s Falcon’s broody older brother. Well the chemistry is instantly blazing from the first page between Jamie and Julian. We’re talking panty melting chemistry here! The banter, the tension, the protectiveness, the love, just everything between them will have you all in your feelings!
Next is the banter between the guys. Of course Falcon, Mason and Lake have to give Julian a hard time. I had so much trouble reading some parts with a straight face because I loved the banter. It was hilarious! And that’s something because it’s really hard to make me LOL while reading.
The dynamic between all these characters are amazing. Michelle’s writing makes you feel a part of that dynamic, that family. The way they fight to protect each other, the love and loyalty they have for each other, just the all out compassion they show and how easy they accept someone as family. I loved every bit of it!
Jamie and Julian’s love story is one that will grab a hold of you and not let go. This book had me feeling so many emotions. I felt everything Jamie felt throughout the book. I BEYOND recommend this book and this whole series to everyone!!!!
'JULIAN' is the fourth full length romance book in Michelle Heard's 'Trinity Academy' series.
As soon as this landed on my kindle I was in the zone reading. Love the cover, love the synopsis, love the author!!
I couldn’t wait for Julian’s book, his backstory was heartbreaking, raw, real, he’d not once dated anyone since his fiancés death so it was going to take a special kind of female to bring him back to the living. Enter Jamie. She captured his attention from the get go, a one night stand at the Rose Acre hotel which wasn't supposed to go any further. She thinks he's a musician and he thinks she's taking scenic shots of the township as she passes through.
She was unlike anyone I've met before. Her company felt natural, and one thing led to another with us ending up together in my suite.
She doesn't have time for relationships and his life revolves around his business.
End of story..
But both of them get the shock of their lives when they are reconnected. She's the new student at Trinity Academy and he's the chairman of CRC Holdings and her brother in-laws new business partner.
Everything is stacked up against them..
From their age difference, to the fact that she's Carter's sister in law, to being a student at his academy.
Whenever these two are in a room together they go head to head, "I don't like her, she annoys me." but underlying their barbs is a sexual tension brewing in the background. As we're lulled into a false sense of security things start happening to Jamie and Julian feels responsible and his need to protect comes to the forefront.
"I take a relationship seriously, so if I were to ever start one with Jamie, it would be for the long haul."
It's during this time where Julian's walls all come tumbling down. He's ready to take things up to a whole new level. The question is, is she?
These two were utterly perfect for each other. I loved how we saw a whole new side to Julian. A much softer side, and Jamie with her spitfire sassiness was exactly the woman he needed.
I was hooked from the get go, reading from front to back, I couldn't get enough of these two, through in the drama and I was in my happy place inhaling this as I got caught up in all the feels.
To be honest ever since i read the screw crew series by Michelle I’ve been wanting a book about Jamie and OMG it’s finally here!!!!! I’m so excited to be diving into this!
I’m devouring this! I absolutely love the banter between Julian and Jamie, it’s so funny I keep laughing at her witty comebacks 😂 this is perfect.... i love the fact that the trinity gang is such an active part of this book.
Gahhh the book definitely has my emotions on a roller coaster trying to figure out what is going on with Jamie!!!
Omg I absolutely love Michelle’s writing and this book was everything and more than i thought it would be! She definitely gave Julian and Jamie the justice they deserved to find their happiness together!
Definitely a 5 star read! And if you guys haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend it!!!
Julian and Jamie have a ONS not knowing who the other really is and when they figure it out...oh boy!
Julian stole my heart in the first book about his brother, FALCON, where we find out that he was engaged and she died in a horrible car accident just weeks before their wedding. He has not been in a relationship since and we are talking years here, apparently he was waiting for Jamie he just didn't know it.
This book is absolutely phenomenal. Julian was an enigma for me since he was introduced in Falcon. I was hoping we would get his story and his story was definitely worth the wait. It’s unputdowndable , I literally binge read it. I was super excited once I started reading and realized this was a crossover between Trinity series and enemies to lover series. Jamie is Della’s younger sister and Carter’s sister in law . I was squealing with excitement, this was fabulous surprise and added bonus.
This book was Everything. It had all the feels and I was completely captivated until the end. It had the perfect dose of romance, fun and sexy moments. Julian and Jamie were perfect for each other from the moment these two meet. They try to deny their attraction but eventually give in to their feelings.
The story is heartwarming and captivating with touch of suspense. Michelle has mastered to deliver memorable characters and captivating plots . It deserves 10 stars. Definitely a must read.
After reading The Trinity series and being introduced to Julian, I was hoping that there would be a story about him. And what a story it is! Wow! Just unbelievable! So much goes on in this book, your head will spin. There's mystery, sadness, humor, lust and possibly love?? Julian is the type of guy who is all business, no time for relationships and likes his life that way. Until one stolen night, he meets Jamie and all bets are off. Except for when he finds out who she really is, then he is torn as he doesn't know if he can mesh his personal and professional lives. But Jamie, who while younger, is strong, determined and a definitely a spitfire, wants to pursue this relationship, problems or not! Love her character so much, she is perfect for Julian. As these two embark on a relationship, something happens that threatens everything they are building, can they overcome it? These two will take you on an emotional ride of which you never want to get off. Their chemistry is sizzling! As you read, you can just feel the beginnings of friendship and love between these two and hope that they both can get thru all the craziness going on in their lives. Let me also mention, that this author has such a way with words, that you will feel all the emotions and will make you fall in love with Julian and Jamie, just like I did. I highly recommend this book! It is incredible.
After reading and loving the Trinity Academy series and was anxious for Julian's story and I was not disappointed. Julian had me engrossed from start to finish. Suspense, mystery, friendship and romance, this story had a bit of everything and I enjoyed it. The banter between Julian and Jamie had me amused. These two had intense chemistry and were perfect for each other. The other characters from the previous Trinity Academy books made an appearance and all added to the story. This slow burn romance was a great read and an excellent addition to the series. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to all lovers of romantic suspense.
Just when you thought the men of trinity academy couldn't get any better Julian's story hits it out the park! *****
Brilliant story that can be read as a standalone but I thoroughly recommend you start the full series to appreciate all the characters.
Heart pounding moments of suspense, actual tears falling at parts and hot and sexy scenes included. Michelle has covered all areas with this book.
I am also off to re-read the enemies to lovers series as I forgot just how much I loved those boys too. I honestly haven't read a book from this author I haven't enjoyed.
I received this arc in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I have no hesitation in giving 5stars for this.
Why all the trinity heros have to realise their love at a freaking hospital when their lady loves are about to die?? See that's the only cliche part in the whole series. Other than that I liked the whole series alot!! Okay...maybe it was too insta but I've made peace with Trinity Academy and it's insta-love stores.
Hero Julian was someone I've been dying to know about. I've a soft spot for heroes who have been left alone by their first love(intentionally or unintentionally). Since I came to know about Jennifer and Julian's engagement and the whole accident scene I've been dying for him to finally find his HEA.
Then he found Jamie!! She's one crazy yet strong woman. Ofcourse she had to be ...to be a match for Julian ❤️
I loved the parts of Mr. Reyes. I liked his role as a person who accepts and understands.
I would say the involvement of rest of the crew was way less in this book taken Julian wasn't officially a part of Falcon, Mason and Lake's group. Still I loved all the short roles they had.
Another good series almost ending. It's 12:15 AM right now so I'll be reading the epilogue tomorrow.
OMG Julian was worth the wait. This was such an emotional book to read that I cried and laughed. I am so happy they find happiness because they both deserve it. If you have not read the other books I would advise you to either though Julian is stand-alone to get what role everybody plays. I can't wait for the novella and the next generation to come out. Michelle Heard is an amazing author, can't wait to see what's next.
A wonderful combination of enemies to lovers and suspense... this is the kind of book you pick up and simply can’t put down until all the intrigue is put to bed— along with the two main characters.
Julian is an island...work is his passion and focus and he has no time for romantic entanglements—he’s done that, been there, and suffered in the process. Jamie has also had more than her fair share of loss. These two have a tonne of emotional baggage, but they also are surrounded by loving and supportive family and friends, and the love and humour they share ensures that the trauma within this story has a perfect counterbalance.
This is a standalone story, but if you are a fan of this author’s books, you are in for a treat when a number of characters from her other series make appearances. I love it when I get to meet old friends from my other favourite stories.
This is a really excellent read, and a worthy addition to the Trinity Academy world... I received an advanced copy of this book from the author.
Julian is the epicness of all crossover books that has ever been written. Not only do we get the Trinity Academy and Screw Crew from the Enemies to Lovers series, but Hayden and Max also make an appearance from one of my favorites, False Perceptions. Mind blown!! Total edge of your seat, nail biting, fist clenching page turner that had me swooning and laughing one page and ugly crying on the next. My emotional wreck was all over the place with this book and it couldn't have been written any more perfectly.
Both Jamie and Julian were perfection! Jamie with her sassyness and smart mouth balanced Julian's broodiness, and both gave as good as they got. But with all their banter, glares and sexual tension, they both need to put their feelings and differences aside. The race against time to catch a psycho looming in the shadows puts their sanity and safety at stake.
“You don’t stop hunting, especially if you’ve wounded your prey. Us being here will only make him more determined to get to Jamie. She was his prey first, and he won’t like sharing.”
Love having all the characters come together in this book and have all of them show their protectiveness. Not only were the main characters absolutely intriguing, but some of the side characters really got to shine too. One of them being Preston Culpepper. Totally brought his computer genius A game. Another and probably the one who made me feel so much emotion for Jamie, was Mr Reyes. I loved his part in this book and totally gave me all the feels!
Feeling emotional because I’m getting a taste of what it’s like to have a father for the first time in my life, I struggle to hold the tears in. -Jamie
Overall, this book had it all. Loved every every moment being sucked into the Trinity Academy world once again. I'd definitely give it more than 5 stars if I could. Dual POV with it's own HEA, Julian is a book you must read. Michelle Heard never disappoints with everything she writes. Just goes to show just the amazingness that's coming from this author in the next generation, and I for one can not wait too see what happens next!
Firstly i would like to thank Michelle for giving me the honor of reading an arc in exchange for an honest review. I first stumbled onto Michelle's books by accident while looking through Amazon, and decided why not give it a go and im so glad i did once i started Falcon i went through the others straight after and loved them all, so when i saw this one i knew i had to have it too.
Julian hasn't dated anyone since his fiance Jennifer passed away before their wedding, so when a Jamie catches his attention for the first time in a long time he jumps at the chance only to wake up in the morning and her be gone.
While Julian is busy with his job as Chairman at CRC holdings, Jamie is starting a school Trinity Academy. They weren't supposed to see each other again but fate had other ideas, when Carter , Jamie's brother in law introduces Jamie to his business partner Juliian they are in for the unexpected. Julian thought she was older and also a photographer, jamie thought he was a musician. As much as the each of them try and pretend that the chemistry isnt off the grid they cant everyone around them can see it too, as soon as they enter the same room sparks fly.
It takes a unexpected event for Julian to finally realize how much he wants her. Jamie gets put though the ringer as her life is put in danger and everyone around her is on high alert especially Julian who tries not to leave her side. Do they finally give in to each other? Will they live happily ever after or will Jamies life be taken? Well your going to have to read it to find out.
I loved that we got to see the rest of the gang Falcon, Mason, Lake and i loved the instant friendship Jamie got with the girls Kingsley, Layla and Lee. Even though when the mystery was solved i had predicted from the start who it was i still didnt know the why and when i found out and it shocked me and scared me as its not the first time ive heard that reason for people killing but makes the world oh so much more scarier as a simple thing that we do every day of our lives can cause someone to get the wrong idea and boom thats it. If your wondering what im talking about i suggest you read to find out what is going on , trust me you wont regret it. This book was so much more than just a one night stand turn into more it had the mystery the drama the passion the heat and also had laughter. I really enjoyed it cannot wait to see what Michelle writes next. This can be read as a standalone but i do suggest you read all of them as you get to know who is who and you will love them all just as much.
JULIAN by Michelle Heard is book 4 in the Trinity Academy Series. This is the story of Jamie and Julian. I have read the previous book which added to my enjoyment of this one. I do feel you would be better to have read them, but you could make this a standalone book if you wish to do so. Jamie is around 19 just getting started with Trinity Academy who happens to have a one night stand. Julian has been all business since his Fiance Jennifer died before they were married. But when he spots Jamie something in him is awakened so he goes forward to act on that feeling only to wake up to her being gone. This of course is the story of a one night stand that wasn't because Jamie is introduced to her brother-in-laws business partner who is of course Julian. Both move forward to ignore their feelings which brings them to some heavy bantering because of the tension. There is a slight aged different with Julian being older. Danger comes forward sending Julian into protective mode. I have been enjoying this series and look more from this author.
Julian had a story to tell behind those dark eyes and haunted spirit, and with Jamie's help, it was brought to the surface.
Jamie's first few weeks at Trinity Academy are, needless to say, more eventful than a room full of bombs. She's left in a dangerous and very vulnerable state, leading Julian to discover his feelings run deeper for this damsel in distress than he ever bargained for.
Once again, the gang stands by the ones they love, and will do anything to protect the lives of everyone involved. The crossover with the Enemies to Lovers series is the added cherry on top. Let's not forget Miss Sebastian who can brighten any room with her bedazzling charm and wit.
All around fantastic and if you're a fan of either series, you won't be disappointed! I guarantee it!
What an amazing, crazy whirlwind novela!!! There are no words for this book! Michelle Heard has done it again! With her flawless writing and sucking you into the characters lives. I absolutely loved Jamie! She is the prefect soulmate for Julian. A must read and one of the best books I've read as of yet in 2020! Can not wait for more if Michelle Heard! Amazing! Just amazing! Well done and such flawless way of bringing two series together 😍
I knew Julian's book was gonna be good but I didn't think Jamie would be that perfect for him. She brings out more in him in a short time than anyone else can. There one night stand sparked something in him and then her attenting Trinity solidified it. These two have a fierce chemistry and there banter is amazing. When he fights for her you know its real and cheer them on. These two are so good toegther!
Oh how I love enemies to lovers, forbidden romances. So this was a win for me. I adored Julian and Jamie, and the added threat of a crazy stalker, made the story more than just romance. After having her first one night stand, Jamie is more than surprised to find out that the sexy musician, she snuck out on is not quite what she thought he was. No, he’s a family business contact, and a CEO, oh, and he’s also the Chairman of her new school, Trinity Academy. Fun and games ensue, as both Jamie and Julian fight to keep their feelings under control, but when Jamie’s life is threatened it would appear that Julian will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. This is one of my favourite Trinity Academy reads to date, I was hooked from the first page. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.
Oh wow. I loved this story!!! So well written, with not expected parts - which kept ne glued to my kindle all afternoon! Loved the chemistry between Julian & Jamie. It was also a pleasure to reconnect with the friends and family!
Can’t wait to read more!!!
I kindly received an arc and voluntarily left a review
The night before she is set to start at the Trinity Academy, Jamie meets and spends a charming and steamy night with Julian. Before he wakes up she leaves so there is no awkwardness but there is no avoiding that as Julian is the chairman of Trinity Academy and CRC Holdings, a company her brother-in-law just partnered with. Way more awkward than the walk of shame the next morning. Oops.
First let me start by saying that this book was not what I expected at all. I was looking forward to Julian and Jamie's story because I was thoroughly intrigued with Julian during the previous Trinity books and I wanted more, needed to know more about him. Then the fact that Jamie is Carter and Della's sister, BONUS! If you read Falcon's story you know that Julian has some demons that he is starting to work out so I expected this to be a long drawn out angsty book where he sorts that out all while Julian and Jamie navigate/come to terms the taboo of their 8 year age gap and of him running the school and company. Turns out I got it all wrong (next time read the blurb instead of diving head first in but I just can't help myself with Michelle's books. I dive.). This book was more of a suspense novel than a romance novel and I am here for it. Loved it. But that wasn't all of it. This book had it all - chemistry, laughs, tears, love. Julian and Jamie's banter was hilarious. I couldn't get enough of it and just like Lake I was dying of laughter. Jamie's strength to stand up to Julian and during everything that was going on was nothing short of amazing. I loved how she never crumbled. Julian's growth and development was swoon worthy. How he is with Jamie melts me. I adored this book and my only complaint is that it is over. Another good read from Michelle.
While I wait for the Epilogue, I will have to go back to the Enemies to Lovers series because I forgot how much I missed those boys and Miss Sebastian. We need more of her and her bedazzled a$$ in our lives.
I recommend you read the Trinity Academy series first if you haven’t, even though this is a stand alone book, those prior books are excellent anyway and so worth the read. Julian Reyes has spent years ignoring women and living only for CRC Holdings until he starts to loosen up and explores his music, this leads to a meeting with young Jamie Truman.
The. mystery behind who is trying to hurt or possibly kill Jamie isn’t very hard to work out but it’s the why that has you dumbfounded and guessing until all of the puzzle pieces are in place. Very intriguing and I loved every minute of it. There is definitely plenty of drama and nail-biting action that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.
Julian wasn’t my favourite character before but he is certainly one that I now really like. In this story we get to see a softer side of him and understand him much better. Jamie is a terrific character with her sassy mouth and confident outlook on life. It was also wonderful to have the boys and girls from the previous books in the story again. Preston Culpepper intrigues me a lot, even his name does, and I would like to know more about him. I think it’s the way this author just tells you bits and pieces about characters that entices you to desperately want to know more.
A thoroughly entertaining story I recommend to everyone.
After reading the previous books I was always intrigued by Julian , he was always in the background and I wanted to find out what made him tick. I had a feeling I would like him but he and the story surpassed my expectations. Julian is a serious man who has very little in the way of a personal life one night he has an unexpected one night stand where he meets Jamie and is thrown by the feelings it brings up. I really liked Jamie's personality she's fun loyal but not afraid to stand up for herself. We really get a sense of the conflicting emotions Julian goes through regaring Jamie and I won't go into what changes his mind but it changes the whole story. The story is fast paced and intense and kept me reading to find out what was going to happen next.
I was on pins and needles waiting for this book! Once it hit my kindle I was so scared to even open it. Lol! Michelle has a special gift with her writing and she has been known to shatter my heart in previous books so I know never to try to predict anything when it comes to her.
Julian had been a dark, looming figure until recently. We got some small glimpses at the man, brother and son that he is by the time we got done reading Mason, Lake and Falcon’s stories. The hardened shell he portrayed cracked open in this book and we got to see the man he truly is and I fell in love.
Jamie had been a character in the background and never got to her full shine until this book. Lord knows she is used to dealing with overbearing men since Carter is her brother in law. That life has prepared her for Julian and his world. Jamie’s strong, open personality is just the kind of woman Julian needs. A wallflower wouldn’t do for him. Jamie may be 19 but she has years of trials under her belt that have made her grow up quick and experience things most adults don’t have to face in their entire life.
Julian and Jamie are two magnets drawn together that can’t be moved. It’s like a moth to a flame. Their chemistry is a physical presence in any room they are in together and everyone can sense it. The ease at which they have together is beautiful.
A demented person has his sight set on Jamie and Julian will do everything he can to protect her. You know when Hayden gets called in that shit is getting real. The suspense in this book is off the charts and I couldn’t stop reading once I started.
Another amazing book by Michelle. There is no doubt this woman has a talent for story telling. You would be crazy not to devour every book she has written.
Julian was introduced in the Trinity Academy, I knew his story had to be told. I had no idea it would be anything like this though. This lovers, to enemies, to lovers book had me swooning, aghast at the angst, sleuthing my way through clues to discover answers and returning to ride the roller coaster of romance. All of our favourite characters make a return, but Julian and Jamie outshine the cast...although Miss Sebastian is bedazzling.
Julian has been hurt, he is guarded and lives a controlled life by keeping his focus on business matters. As the chairman of CRC Holdings and of Trinity Academy he has no time to reflect on his past or create a future. Until Jamie caught his eye and quenched his desires, but she disappeared in the morning. A new business partnership with Indie Ink Publishing takes precedence. The CEO Carter Hayes, sister in law is going to be attending Trinity Academy and making her feel welcome is paramount.
Jamie has never had a one night stand but he is too hard to resist, not that she wants to. Trinity Academy is a new beginning for her, the girls have welcomed her with open arms. Imagine her surprise when he walks on stage, she thought he was a musician and she’d never see him again. It gets worse he’s the new business partner and Carter can never find out. Getting something past this group is not easy, they nose around and push us together. However someone is trying to come between us, I need to identify who though.
JAMIE FINALLY GETS HER OWN BOOK!!! Ahhh, I have LOVED her since Della and Carter's book and all of the other Enemies to Lovers series. I loved getting to know that Trinity Academy series and think that Jamie and Julian somehow just fit effortlessly, even they are both super stubborn!
Michelle Heard is a freaking master at spinning amazing stories that have strong character leads and strong emotional bonds, JULIAN is definitely along those lines. When a one night stand turns into two strangers finding out later that their lives are intertwined more than most, what are they supposed to do about it, especially with other factors in play.
I absolutely adored this book. It is a complete standalone, but those that have read the Enemies to Lovers and Trinity Academy to date will enjoy the book even more! I give it a huge 4.5 outta 5 stars and enjoyed every second of it!
PS: Thank you to Michelle Heard and Candi Kane PR for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly.
Julian by Michelle Heard is Book 4 in the Trinity Academy Series. This is Julian and Jamie's story. Julian has been all business since his fiancee died and that means he hasn't dated or even looked at another woman during this time. He has mourned her...deeply. Suddenly a new woman enters the scene- Jamie. They have this instant connection/chemistry. It was immediate their connection and Julian felt it. They had a ONS at a hotel and it wasn't supposed to go any further in each other's eyes. In her eyes, she believed him to be a musician, he thought she was traveling through town, taking pictures. It changed when Jamie shows up at as a new Trinity Academy ( she is 19 ) and Jamie finds out that Julian's the chairman of CRC Holdings and her brother in-law's new business partner. The end? HA, more like a new beginning for them that is rife with dark and delicious taboo beginnings. Doesn't mean things will be easy. It's going to be especially hard- there will already be things stacked against them but Julian and Jamie prove they are willing to stand together when it comes to love. The chemistry and writing is top notch!!! Get ready for a fantastic emotional rollercoaster ride!
Julian is one of the more elusive characters as far as I’m concerned. I knew very little about him because he’s a man who keeps himself to himself. However having read this book it makes complete sense as to why he does this. He’s been through so much. He’s lost too much. He’s had more heartbreak than people can usually endure. I call him a silent brooder but he’s a protective soul too.
Jamie. I have to say she’s a feisty character and I’m not even surprised that she stuck up for herself and felt things very deeply. She wasn’t the type of person who let things happen to her. She’s a strong badass person who is scared but in the end she stands up tall and proud of who she is. She has come a long way.
These two together ironically would be like chalk and cheese but again I love the comparisons made to Mason and Kingsley as they are similar but different too. I find myself reading this book and not wanting to put it down. Their chemistry and their spark works for me. It is a hard road for them to get their happy but in the end its worth it. It’s truly worth it.
