As much as is known about ancient Egypt, there is just as much not known, especially when it comes to the roots. This book focuses on the time period leading up to the rise of the pharaohs. In it you will not only find information about predynastic times, you will also find rituals and information to contact many of the deities found from then as well.
A Draconian Egyptian Grimoire is both practical and insightful. The first few pages provide a brief history of the early days Of Kemet (Ancient Egypt), discussing the African roots of the culture, through early tribes. Further explaining the spiritual growth of the Ancient Egypt, connecting it's similarities to Afro-Caribbean belief and practice, and how it may have been a Matriarchal system prior to becoming solar-phallic focus. Discussing the earliest Gods during what is referred to as Draconian Egypt, it further covers, but briefly explains animal sacrificial practices that were incorporated to venerating the Neteru (Gods), as sacrifice means to make sacred. However, it should be noted the rituals you perform in the book do not use sacrifices other then using a drop of your own blood or the ritual with Nebt-het which is only personal things (Such as a bad habit or an relationship you want to stop). The rituals incorporated into the book focus less on Worship of the Gods but instead focuses on working with them in a respectful way. It then moves on the ritual practices you can use for certain Gods, Spirits and thoughtforms, such as: 1. Anpu (Anubis) 2. Set 3. Ma'at 4. Sphinx 5. Taweret 6. Sopdet 7. Tehuti (Thoth) 8. Amun 9. Sobek 10. Scorpion 11. Wadjet 12. Nekhbet, and lastly..... 13. Nebet-Het (Nephthys)
It then discuses the nine aspects of the soul, the use of Sabti, The Nomes used, and briefly the Early Rulers of Ancient Egypt. My overall opinion is that I enjoyed it immensely, especially with the amount indepth research Bill has invested into his work, taking consideration of Ancient Egypts roots with other African cultures and early tribes. Moreover he keeps it simple, making for an easy and engaging read.
*About the Rituals -I haven't tried the rituals (due to lack of both experience in the occult and spirituality, as well as lack of space). However when I'm ready and able to, I'll definitely be engaging in them, especially with how clearly written they are. Furthermore, it should be noted, the ingredients used in these rituals aren't complex or hard to find things. The ingredients these rituals mostly require Incense, oils and or herb smells such as (Dragon's Blood, Myrrh, Cinnamon, Musk, Juniper, Cassia, Frankincense, Rosemary, Cedar, Blue Lotus or Kyphi) as well as a Black Scrying Bowl, Music that is similar to Ancient Egypt (or Your Own), and certain colour candles.
