Faithful: A Christian Romance Novel

Rate this book
In this inspirational story of romance and family loyalty, Caroline returns to Athens, Georgia to help her sick father, but will this mean the end of her new life in Burton Creek? After finding her first love, Chris, after fifteen years, everything in Caroline Marsh’s world seems perfect. Everything, that is, except introducing the love of her life to her parents. When the meeting ends with Congressman Marsh insulting the handsome rancher and belittling his own daughter, Caroline knows she has a big decision to make. Her father has made it clear; either she comes home to Athens and forgets all about Chris, or she’ll be cut off from her entire family. Things take a turn for the complicated when the Congressman has a life-threatening heart attack. Caroline dashes back to Athens in hopes of not only nursing her father back to health but bringing him to faith and hope for a better future. More than anything, Caroline wants to mend the wounded relationship between father and daughter. In the biggest test of their faith so far, can Caroline and Chris weather the storm and find their way back to one another?

Beautiful, heartfelt story of love, forgiveness, second chances and redemptiom.
Carolyn had a challenging upbringing but she found God again when she visited where her grandad lived and reconnected with her crush of 15 years. When things seemed to fall apart with her father's illness and disapproval over her life choices together with Chris her fiance they learnt to trust God to work miracles even to bring prodigals home.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

This is a charming love story that touches on redemption, healing, and second chances. It's a well written book with realistic characters that deal with real-life problems. The characters had such great personality and depth. There's so much healing and forgiveness that is portrayed between the different relationships - it is a story that really pulls at your heartstrings. This is a new to me author and I really enjoyed the style of writing. Not a lot of fluff, just real and believable characters and plot. Great book!

I felt like I was dropped in the middle of a story when she is introducing her angry politician father and her mother to her fiance Chris and then her father threatens her and then leaves. It would have been better if the short story Return to Faith that tells the story of how Caroline met Chris and fell in love was included at the beginning of the book. There were a lot of angry people angry blaming Caroline for her father's poor heath. I wouldn't have had her strength to put up with it and would have just walked away and not stuck around to see if they could change.

Sweet

Caroline wants to get away so she goes to where she felt the most free as a child. While there she reconnects with an old love. She also reconnects with God. But her family, specifically her father, disapproves. His disapproval is so deep he has a heart attack. This causes Caroline to run home to care for him. How is God using her and this situation?

Chris loves Caroline with all that is in him. However he’s lost so many people he’s afraid she’s next. But he has to have faith in God’s plan. And why does he feel like he’s being watched?

This story went in depth to the conversion that's possible when prayer and faith and a willing heart are present. I loved the reminder. I'm so glad the author wrote the story. The characters seemed real and genuine. I gave this 3.5 stars because I would have loved to have been more involved in the sensory experiences of the story. Many times, it seemed that the author was telling the story rather than letting me be in the story. I'm unsure what contributed to this experience for me, but was saddened that I couldn't be wrapped up and totally immersed in it.

Faith in Christ changes people!

Oh how awesome is the life-changing power and love of Jesus! When He saves us, we don't stay the way we always were. He continues to make us more and more like him every day. This book is an amazing example of Acts 16:31. I highly recommend it to everyone, and can't wait for the next book!

This books contains many reasons to be faithful. An endearing story about a faithless politician whose daughter taught him by her own example the true meaning of having faith in God. Ms Summers has done a fine job of writing this book to show us the readers what true faith and repentance looks like and how it feels in our hearts if we are truly sincere about it.

Caroline and Chris had quite a time with Caroline’s father. What a tyrant! Prayer always helps. Both families learned unfortunately the hard way.
