On the lower city streets of Larris, the progress of the last 200 years isn't as easy to see as among the gleaming towers of the upper class.
Rinn, a young engineer, earns her survival soldering back together the decaying infrastructure of the lower city. But a better life takes more than the city is willing to pay. So for Rinn, that dream is something to be chased across the city's winding rooftops. The fastest freerunning times can earn enough money to make life bearable, but only running with safeties off can buy a ticket to freedom.
When a fellow runner is revealed to be the vice president of the city's lead research company, Rinn decides on one last leap of faith. If she can sell her innovative designs she could finally escape the lower streets. But the president and his company are not as picture-perfect as Rinn first believes. Involved with them she is soon forced to question the price of self-worth amid a backdrop of traumatic secrets.
