A BBW Instalove Romance

Sebastian
As the rookie at the fire station, the guys are constantly ragging on me. Can’t say I like it, but I get it. I’ve gotta earn my place.
Then one night a pregnant woman shows up at the station in labor and there’s no time to bring her to the hospital.
The events of that night finally gain me the respect of the guys at the station. But, more importantly, I’m introduced to a beauty who sets fire to my heart: Eva, the sister of the woman whose baby I helped deliver.
The more I get to know Eva—lovely, witty, curvaceous Eva—the more I know she’s my one and only.
She has barriers up, though. Deep-seated ones.
So now it’s up to me to show her how serious I am when I say I want to be with her forever.

Eva
I’m completely in awe of the hunky firefighter who comes to my sister’s rescue the night she goes into labor.
And when he stops by a few days later to check on my newborn niece, I fall even harder for him.
But I’ve seen too many women get screwed over by guys, and I can’t help but be cautious around Sebastian.
Sebastian has promised me the world. But what if his words are just words?
I want to believe him, but is a happily-ever-after really possible?

Dear Reader,
Fire alert! This little hot instalove novella is about an alpha firefighter claiming his curvy woman. It can be read as a standalone, but is best enjoyed with the rest of the Lighting The Alpha’s Fire series. Get ready for a smokin’ hot hero, a sassy heroine, and a lovey-dovey happy ending!
xo,
Kate

Sebastian is spending the night at the firestation for his shift and is woken up by some knocking at the door. It happens to be a pregnant woman on the verge of giving birth, accompanied by her sister, Eva. Sebastian helps delivering the baby and the next day, decides to pay a visit to the women, and ends up asking Eva out...

The beginning was alright but then the plot just became a big ol' mess. The pacing was bad, the romance was flat and undescriptive, no real steam, and the characters weren't interesting. It was all over the place, awfully cheesy and corny. Gosh, let me out!

Book 3 in the Lighting the Alpha’s Fire series and I loved this book. Sebastian and Eva were so good together. Loved the instant chemistry and attraction. It was so hot. Sebastian was so swoon worthy with his magic baby calming touch. I think that my ovaries exploded. Can’t wait to read Torch’s story.

Eva was desperate the night that she knocked on the firehouse door, her sister was in labour and she needed help urgently so when Sebastian helps deliver her niece. He is her hero that night and as much as she is attracted to him she is cautious after watching too many women get hurt in the past. Can she look past her reservations and give him a chance?

Sebastian is the rookie of the fire station he is used to the pranks, but he wins the respect of his peers the night he delivers a baby on the floor of the station house. But its Eva that truly captivates him and he knows that she is his one and only but can he convince her that he is nothing like the men that she has met before or is he playing a losing hand?

Good

3.5 Stars

This was a good book but I felt a few things were glossed over. I really missed that the first love scene was just mentioned. I love the connection the first one brings to the characters, it’s all passion and excitement and I was disappointed that it was skipped. The relationship moves quickly and there are a few very minor bumps but the two are meant for each other.

Safety and Spoilers
Completely safe. No ow/om drama, just a tiny tiny bit of drama. Both are not virgins and pasts aren’t mentioned except h has trust issues due to lying, cheating exes. No abuse.

The Baby Whisperer soothes his "Baby"

Sebastian is the younger brother of Fire Chief Matt. He has now been the "rookie" in the same firehouse and even though he has had to endure all of the pranks, which are still ongoing, he loves what he does. The opening scene in this story had me laughing so hard I fell in love with Seb immediately.
Eva works as a fundraiser for a women's shelter and is more than "down on men". With her history alone who could blame her, cheated on, lied to, dumped and used. But then add in the stories of the women that come through the shelter and her younger sister Grace's current situation - pregnant by her boyfriend who first tried to get her to terminate and then terminated their relationship when she wouldn't. So Eva has decided love and her are just not meant to be.
One night on the way home from seeing a movie Grace's water breaks and Eva decides to stop at the firehouse when she sees it. Sebastian has woken up in the night for a pit stop and thinks he hears someone knocking on the door. When he opens it he sees a young woman who turns around and he is immediately floored by a gorgeous woman, is he dreaming? But he quickly sees another woman behind her doubled over and and very pregnant. What happens next is that Grace delivers the baby with the help of Sebastian who then loads her into the ambulance and drives them to the hospital, with Eva following behind.
The next day Sebastian stops by their apartment with the excuse of returning Eva's wallet which he found outside the station. The baby is crying up a storm and with Seb's "baby whisperer" skills he offers up his services bringing relief to everyone. On his way out he asks to take Eva out and after some thought she decides to agree. Thus starts their relationship.

This is a sweet, romantic, funny, fast-paced and nicely hot and sizzling story with wonderful characters. She is insecure and distrustful in so many ways but he recognizes this and is more than willing to prove himself and his feelings for her. Some previous characters pop in with some updates on them and we are also introduced to some new characters that I am hoping will have their own stories. Seb and Eva are two people that just fit.

I loved this story of a rookie firefighter meeting the "one" while helping her sister. All of the characters in this story were great and relatable. There was very little angst and it resolves quickly.

Sebastian is the rookie at the fire station and the guys are pranking him as a way of welcoming him to the team. He understands it but doesn't like it. Sebastian meets Eva when she brings her pregnant sister Grace, to the station because she's in labor and they don't have time to get to the hospital. After delivering Grace's baby girl, he earns the respect of the guys at the station and a new nickname. Sebastian starts getting to know Eva and the more time they spend together, the surer he becomes that she's the "one". He knows that it’s up to him to show her how serious he is about wanting to be with her forever.

Eva is impressed by the firefighter that helped her sister. She is pleasantly surprised when he stops by their apartment to check on her niece. Eva wants to trust that Sebastian means what he says but working at a shelter and her own experiences make her cautious. Sebastian has promised her they will have a happy ever after, but is that even possible?

I got a kick out of the "baby whisperer". Eva giving Sebastian a chance was unexpected when it happened, but awesome. Their first date sounded like a fun time. Them dating for a few weeks was great. I loved their happy ever after. I definitely recommend reading this book.

Lighting the Alfa Fires is a new favorite of mine! I love these firefighters. This book is about the rookie, Sebastian who is also Matt’s younger brother and Eva. As the rookie, they do a lot of pranks on him all in good nature of course. Well one night he gets up to empty his bladder he hears a faint knock on the door outside, so he goes to check it out to find this beautiful woman standing right outside of it. When he opens the door to see how he can help, he realizes that she is with another woman who is pregnant and in labor. As your typical fireman, he jumps into action and starts to work on her to help her deliver this baby. Eva and her little sister are alone in the world as the father of her sisters’ baby didn’t want anything to do with it, so Eva is taking charge making sure she is not alone.

Sebastian has a way with babies, and he happens to visit them in her apartment when he finds a wallet that she must have dropped the night that they were there. The story takes off from there and I love how the story turns out, but he question is what are they going to do with Alex aka Torch as I’m hoping he is next and maybe with Eva’s younger sister Grace, bringing him down from his bad boy ways!

Sebastian is the rookie at the fire station he knew that he would be pranked by the guys he thought that he would be able to see the pranks coming but he didn’t now a year later the guys don’t prank him that often but when they do he’s glad to get them and some of them have been funny but he puts up with them because he knows that he has to earn his place. One night Sebastian wake’s up to go to the toilet when he hears a knock on the station’s front door he see’s this gorgeous woman but behind her is another woman and she’s pregnant the woman said that her sister is in labor and she needs help so Sebastian says that he will take her to their ambulance but then the woman screams it’s coming. A couple of days later Sebastian stops by to see how the mum and baby are doing and the gorgeous woman answers the door and the baby is screaming so Sebastian says pass her over because he has a knack with babies so she does and the baby stops crying immediately, on the way out Sebastian asks Eva out on a date she’s a bit reluctant at first but then she says yes and Sebastian feels like the luckiest man in the whole world. I loved this story it’s another fantastic addition to this series and I highly recommend this book.

Sweet and steamy

Yet another great book from Kate Hunt. I cannot get enough of these stories about hot firefighters! I’m absolutely LOVING the instalove genre. Yes, it’s incredibly quick, but boy does it make for a good read!

This stars Sebastian and Eva. He is a rookie (well, he’s been there for a year) firefighter, and she rocks up to the station one night when her sister starts to go into labour. Seb safely delivers her niece and after checking up on them all, they start to see each other.

There is a very strong mutual attraction, but Eva is a little unsure at the start as she has trust issues with men – because of her sister’s situation, and where she herself works. Seb is able to convince her to give him a chance, and their relationships blossoms beautifully. He DID have my heart fluttering by chapter four! There are a few surprises, but things work out (very well) in the end. I give this four and a half stars, only because I’m desperate for more ;)

Sebastian is the Rookie of the firehouse and they tend to prank him a lot. One evening he wakes up to knocking at the firehouse door and is stunned when he finds two women and one is in labor. Eva's sister is in labor and she knows she can't make it to the hospital so she stops at the firehouse for help. Sebastian never thought he'd be delivering a baby but that's exactly what he did. He was drawn to Eva and he went to check up on her,her sister and the baby to make sure all was right with them. He also asked her out because he couldn't help himself. Sebastian moves fast he know that he wants to marry Eva and even stuns her by asking her so soon. Will Eva run because Sebastian is wanting so much too quickly? Can they really fall that quickly into something lasting?

This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the Lighting the Alpha's Fire series. Sebastian is the younger brother of the new fire chief Matt and a rookie with the fire department. One day a woman comes into the fire station with her pregnant sister and Sebastian has to deliver the baby. Eva wants to help her sister Grace when her water breaks but there is only time to get her to a fire station. Sebastian handles the baby's birth like an expert and calms both Eva and Grace. When Sebastian wants to check up on Grace and the baby, he also wants to see Eva. Eva works at a women's shelter and is a little nervous to trust Sebastian, but he is willing to give her time to trust him. Sebastian wants to be with Eva and is determined to win her over. I love how Sebastian is known as the baby whisperer and how he loves kids. Sebastian is a sweet guy and he has a great connection with Eva. This is another great one in this series. Well done.

Sebastian's brother is the station fire chief, but Seb's the rookie, and the other guys have declared open season for pranks. Eva is not trusting of men due to her past. She's a fundraiser for an abused women's shelter. He delivers her sister's baby in the firehouse, and checks on them a few days later. He asks her out, and she finally agrees. He pushes her out of her comfort zone on their dates, understanding that she's still nervous being with him. This is a really nice book. Seb is so sweet, willing to take things slow to gain Eva's trust, trying to convince her that he's a good guy and not out to break her heart. She's a sweet woman, and finds love as soon as she's willing to trust him. I'm hoping for more stories in this series.

Sebastian maybe a rookie at the fire department, but as a boyfriend he is definitely an Ace.

Sebastian meets Eva when she tries to find help for her sister who is on the verge of delivering. After tracking Eva down, he convinces her on a date.

Skeptical Eva goes out with Sebastian, and even tells him her fears and lack of trust. Instead of turning away he does what he can to prove there is at least one.

“Oh, now my job is to prove to you that all men aren’t evil?”

“Just one will do.”

“Just one, huh?”

And boy does he prove his is Ace.

Rookie is a great quick read and is a great addition to.the Lighting the Alpha's Fire series

Rookie is book three in the lighting the alpha’s fire series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Sebastian is a fireman that is eager to find love but not actively looking for it. When Eva’s sister goes into labour near a fire station, it is Sebastian that jumps into help. Not trusting men, will Eva give love a chance?
The chemistry between Sebastian and Eva is clear to see and I liked them as a couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this story is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

So, so good!! Firefighters are swoon-worthy no matter what situation they are portrayed in but when there is one that is also a baby charmer? Then he is Hot, Hot, Hot!! This is a short quick read that is funny, sweet, sexy, and continues the stories in the Lighting the Alphas Fire series by giving us the story of Sebastian and Eva. Great chemistry is shown between them and I really liked how there was no big drama or miscommunication or anything else that had the potential to keep them apart. Just a good natural progression to their HEA!

This is a sweet, heartwarming story. The characters are likable and lovable. Sebastian, firefighter, baby whisperer and Eva, sister to Grace, the pregnant woman who is ready to have her baby. Sebastian hears them knocking at the firehouse in the middle of the night. He delivers the baby. He goes back to their apartment to return Eva’s wallet and ask her out on a date. Their unexpected encounter begins a tender, first love, feel good romance. A very enjoyable read!

Baby Whisperer

We were introduced to Sebastian in "Blaze" book one in this series. At that time he was only talking about becoming a firefighters. In this story he has become one but is still considered a rookie. That all changes on the night he delivers a baby. That isn't the only thing that changes....Sebastian also meets the "one". I recommend you find a quite place and let the "Baby Whisperer" talk to you

This is a story that I didn’t want to end. I loved the interactions between Eva and Sebastian. They were so cute together.

Sebastian is still being called Rookie at the fire station even though he has been there a year now. He is also still getting pranked on. That all changes one night when he helps out Eva’s sister out by delivering her baby. Eva thinks he is handsome but is wary of men lately. Will Sebastian be able to convince her to get them a chance?

Sebastian is the rookie of the firehouse. The others are always playing pranks on him. One night he wakes up hearing a knock at the station doors and ends up delivering a baby. He can’t seem to get the sister of the mother out of his mind. Eva has sworn off men because there just aren’t any that are reliable. But then Sebastian shows up at her door asking her out. Sebastian has a lot of convincing to do to make Eve his, but he’s determined to have a HEA

Sebastian is the new rookie at the fire station. One night he gets woken up at the station to a woman whose sister is about to give birth. Sebastian quickly delivers the baby and takes them to the hospital. The next day he goes and checks on them. He asks Eva out. Can Eva trust Sebastian enough to let him in? I loved this book so much. I am so addicted to the Lighting The Alpha’s Fire Book Series by Kate Hunt. In book 3, we meet Sebastian and Eva when her sister goes into labor on their way home. Unable to make it to the hospital in time Eva goes to the local fire station. Sebastian is the rookie on the squad but becomes an hero after delivering the baby. After meeting Eva and delivering her niece, he wants to get to know Eva. But Eva has trust issues when it comes to men. But as they spend together, they fall quickly. Great read!

Sebastian, the Rookie, has been working at the fire station for a year, as the newest recruit he's still the Rookie. One night there's a banging at the door, he meets Eva and her sister.
Eva works at the local woman's shelter and, because of that and her sister's predicament, doesn't trust men.
A great short story

Another great read from Kate Hunt. Sebastian, a rookie firefighter, meets Eva, a sexy curvaceous blonde who has trust issues due to all the horrible men that have passed through not only her life but also those of the ones around her. Sebastian is charming and caring and soon Eva falls for him hard and fast. A great HEA and I highly recommend this quick read.

Sebastian is a firefighter working when he hears a knock on the firehouse door. He opens to see Eva and her pregnant sister, Grace. Grace has gone into labor and they will not make it to the hospital. Sebastian delivers Sophie. He feels attracted and drawn to Eva and stops by their place the next day to check on everyone. He asks Eva on a date and although she is hesitant she says yes. And thus is the start of a beautiful relationship. Sweet ending!
