From the bestselling author of “Cully the Bounty Hunter”, comes an enthralling novel based on one of the West’s most notorious train robberies.
Deputy Sheriff Matt Laing is new to Reno, Nevada and looking for a place to hang his hat. Trouble arrives within months.
The new railroad is necessary for growth and prosperity. It also attracts the criminal element. The peaceful town he hoped to settle down in soon becomes a haven for rowdy railway workers and outlaws.
Deputy Laing has no intention of letting any injustices go unanswered.
Hank Shaller and his gang are ruthless marauders who want nothing more than to see the world burn as they plunder and destroy. On one fateful night, Hank’s gang robs an east bound Central Pacific near the Verdi Station. Hank is unaware that his antics will attract the most deadly lawman in the region.
Deputy Laing, once known throughout the West as a fierce bounty hunter, is now on Shaller’s trail. His pursuit is relentless, and this time he has a badge and the law backing him up.

Been a long time follower of Mr. Slade, and I hope this is the beginning of a new developing series of western adventures. A very heartwarming, and compassionate, story of realistic American western folklore adventures, with enough suspenseful episodes to appease anyone's desired expectations. Great job!!
Most definitely another five star masterpiece by one of the most compelling author of the old western genre. One exciting episode after the other, with Matt and Sheriff Jones trying to bring justice to their beloved town of Reno, and the surrounding areas, as well. This deadly duo, along with former U.S.Marshal Treadway, and Matt's charge, Charlie burn the midnight oil in their ongoing efforts to bring justice once more to their beloved area of jurisdiction! Outstanding storylines that successfully portrays compassion and love of their compatriots, and the outstanding character selections were perfectly selected for their commanding assignments throughout the entire book! The ongoing camaraderie of the good guys goes above and beyond in their quest for justice. I, without hesitation, recommend this outstanding western masterpiece of realistic western folklore adventures to everyone, especially you dyed in the wool western enthusiasts, as you will certainly enjoy following these compassionate series of justice as they pull no punches in bringing peace, and tranquility to their beloved not responsibility. An OS. Nevada/Utah Western Action Adventure (TTR) (ADSMLW)
OS. has penned a Nevada/Utah western action adventure titled, "The Train Robbery" which begins with a Deputy Sheriff settling into his job on a permanent basis. The Deputy had been a very successful bounty hunter but had grown tired of being on the road all the time. He accepts the job as Deputy. And is a good one because he can tell the good from the bad. One gang, in particular, is causing them fits, until the Deputy remembers who the men really are. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
