Brothers in arms - Chase and Angel are on leave and heading to Angel's hometown 'Red Rock' for their 4th of July celebrations.
Chase's motto is 'hump ‘em and dump ‘em'. That is, until he meets her.
Fiercely independent 'Ty' runs the Red Rock Tavern (it’s been in her family for years) and it has fallen on hard times. Ty has borrowed heavily on trying to keep her family business afloat, but she owes the wrong people... And they are coming...
When Chase walks into her bar, he's the perfect distraction Ty needs.
What happens when emotions start to get in the way?
Callie Vegas is great at writing fast paced, short and sexy reads.
Chase is on leave from the military for the next two days and when his best friend and brother in arms Angel asks him to join him for the July forth celebrations he agrees. The last thing that he expects to find is someone to love, he isn’t the type of guy to stick around but all that changes when he meets Ty, suddenly he finds himself wanting more but can he show Ty that what they have is way more than a one-time thing?
Ty isn’t a relationship type of girl especially after her heart was broken years ago, she is happy with a single night and moving on but when Chase walks in to her bar she cannot resist him and after an explosive night together she finds herself craving way more than one night and her feelings are already involved. When the weekend ends can she let him go and will he even want her?
Enjoyable read with two very likable characters, loved the epilogue and the little surprise at the end.
This story is short, fast paced and a nice read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Chase has two days leave from his military duties. When his best friend convinces him to join him, he doesn’t expect to find love. After getting her heart broken in the past, Ty doesn’t do relationships, she has one night stands. When Chase walks into her bar, she cannot resist. One night isn’t enough and feelings soon develop. I really liked Chase and Ty as a couple. Overall, I enjoyed their story. I really liked the epilogue for this story. I liked the surprise Ty had for Chase. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is a nice read.
Ty and Chase came together for a fun weekend while celebrating July 4th. Sparks fly when they first meet and they never die down. When Ty’s livelihood is threatened, Chase steps in to try and save her. Great quick read!
