The continental United States is reeling from the devastating impact of the asteroid that scattered across the country, but the struggle to survive is just beginning in Bounce: Impact Book 2.
Impact is a 6-book post-apocalyptic survival series from the #1 post-apocalyptic author Mike Kraus and USA Today and NYT best-selling author E.E. Isherwood. This series follows the desperate survival of several characters in a post-apocalyptic world, including a mother and father separated from their daughter, a whistleblower pursued by a dangerous assassin, a sociopathic CEO out for profit above all else and a former soldier who teams up with an unlikely ally in the name of survival.
This novel-length post-apoc survival thriller series will be released monthly.
E.E. Isherwood has been a storyteller for over 30 years. Initially the muse took the form of childish comic strips. As a teen it manifested itself under the guise of Dungeons and Dragons adventures. In college it culminated with a Master's thesis on Missouri geography—an extremely boring kind of story. Three decades and several careers later he realized that siren song never stopped, so he began to author books. A life-long enthusiast of apocalyptic fiction, writing about zombies was his passion. Future titles in science fiction and fantasy are in the hopper. He lives in the St. Louis, Missouri area, where his series of zombie books takes place.
A lot is going on in this novel and series. Characters are fighting to survive the conditions caused by an asteroid hitting earth and causing mass destruction including fires, building crumbling and flooding. Characters are confronted by humans blocking access through roadways. Then we have TKM the owner of the mining corp that caused the asteroid to veer off course and his orders to kill those who know the truth.
Just one more thing, no mention of food being eaten or water characters drank. Three, three, three rule.
Best disaster thriller series I have read in years
I have not been reading much lately due to depression, but I'm sure glad I found this series. It is very hard to put these books down. This is the best disaster series I have read in years, and it takes place partially in Western Kentucky where I have lived for over 50 years. This series would be appropriate for all ages, just don't read at night if you have to get up early in the morning because you'll keep wanting to read just a few pages more until it's morning!
Heartbreaking, terrifying and heartwarming in equal measure
An unplanned chain of events, started by billionaire Tikanen leaves a devastating asteroid to smash into earth, destroying everything in its path. Grace andcEzra havecone goal - to reach each other though they are a thousand miles apart both are determined to find a way whilst taking care of their companions. Whilst Tikanen will stop at nothing to retrieve his asteroid and all the wealth it will bring him.
The first two books cover four days which makes it move along oh so slowly. Most of the narrative switches between a treacherous journey out of Yellowstone and a treacherous journey on a river. Evidently food is not a problem for these people as no mention is made of it. I think given the story line it would be imply to find food or gasoline. No problem for our travelers. I think I’ve read enough of this series.
I Was very involved with this scenario.I'm southern and my husband can not drive at all in the snow or run a boat. these struggles here would have killed us twenty ways. I bet the authors have a chart of problems as a challenge for each other. all you need is snakes. loved it, keep the problems coming so your readers can imagine what they would to overcome anything coming down on us in the future.
I so enjoyed the Minus America series that I couldn't wait to read more. I had to quit with book 2. I stopped reading Bobby Akart for the same reason. The authors found a formula that works and they milk it. Settings are different, characters are different. But how it moves along is identical. One thing different, I actually couldn't abide the character, Asher. If this is what young men are like now, we're doomed.
Bounce starts to flesh out the tale that began with Impact book 1. As Ezra and Butch navigate through the rough waters post asteroid, Grace and her new friend plow through the mountains trying to survive the catastrophe. Mr. Isherwood gentles the story with his wit and candor. Congrats to both these authors!
This book 2 seems to be to primarily flesh-out the events from book 1 and set up book 2. Grace seems incredibly obsessed with being an on-duty park ranger, though she does make a credible effort in trying to save as many people as possible. I like Ezra and Butch as a combo a lot, but felt like the action on various boats was way too much.
Typical for these authors. Never a dull moment with meteors raining down and evil characters around, what can a young forest ranger do? A lot. Recommend this series.
This was an edge of your ride story all the way through from beginning to end. I like this kind of action. Make for aneasy and quick read when it's like that.
Ezra and Butch have been through a lot. Grace and Asher also. Can't wait for them to get together and start to kick some serious ass. TKM will get what's coming to them. Black snow Russian assassin's and all.
Another book into the ongoing story of Ezra, and his daughter. Their struggles of being back with each other. Holding your breath suspenseful and a thrill a minute. Don't quit now, the story is really begging to get good.
He snatched his backpack out of the water on deck, then reached out for the rear ladder of the other boat, and finally pulled himself up. — the pink backpack was lost at the transfer to the barge.
Great second book of the series Impact! The characters are well-developed and the storyline is fraught with tension and terrifying events. I am excited about reading book 3 and I am anticipating, greatly, what will happen to the villain.
Beartooth Highway, one of America’s scenic highways, from Cooke City to Red Lodge, MT. A dangerous route in the dark with heavy snowfall. Will the caravan Grace leads make it up and over the treacherous route?

An amazing full of action book. Continuation of survival, which is definitely not easy after a meteorite struck. How will this turn out. Ready for the next one.
This episode of the series is one wild ride! After the initial impact ends people expect things to get better. They just get more intense. This story is great.

I like this author. He can draw you into the tale and it helps that I’ve traveled through the areas of the story a number of times. Always helps the reader feel more in tune with the story line.
