Captain Lacklan Walker, son of a Boston Brahmin, spent ten years in the British SAS, nursing his hatred for his father, and learning how to kill – a skill at which he is the best among the best. Yet when his father was on his death bed, Lacklan made him two promises: that he would find and protect Marni, his own childhood sweetheart, and that he would destroy Omega, a shadowy organization of elite billionaires who seek to control world events, the world economy, and the world’s future. An organization of which his father was a leading member.
Three years down the line and both Omega and Marni lie dying. Only one branch of the organization survives, the branch that controls Russia and China, and Lacklan is out to finish them forever. It is no longer just the promise he made to his father. This is payback, for everything they have taken from him. This is a journey of revenge that will take him and his Comrade Njal across the Bering Straits, in a grueling, perilous journey through Siberia, to Moscow, Japan and eventually to the Gobi desert. There, in an explosive final conflict, Lacklan will finally confront his darkest daemons, and the hideous truth about Omega…

Apparently this is the final book in the Omega series. All I can say is if that's the case it's a disappointing ending. Lacklan sitting in the Gobi desert waiting and Grace in a helicopter on her way to Mongolia, this misses a grand closing, or any closing at all, by miles. Well written as were all of the books but a totally unsatisfying ending.
This book had so many twists and turns. I absolutely loved every single moment. I didn't see it coming ending or even starting that way. I've been reading EVERY Omega Series book since Book 1 and this book ended in a powerful way.
Lacklan has given everything to a cause that never was to help him and defended the dignity of a man who never was worth it.
So many life lessons. Tremendous read. What a treasure. :)
I have thoroughly enjoyed these books. They are truly out there as far as believable. I read the whole series in a little over 2 months.
This last book is a rip roaring book full of intrigue and trying to figure out the ending. I failed in figuring it out. And then.... I didn't get closure. I didn't want it to end. It left me wanting more.
How long can this be dragged out? It is good that it is free because I no longer will read any more and was hoping for a final finish this time, but no...this will never end. Poor Lacklan, he is doomed to kill forever with no end.
Although I enjoyed the previous books and this group, this one was very poorly planned. I found it to be very unfulfilling with the unsatisfying conclusion. I feel no motivation to continue with this author.
I go early expected a !ugh better ending. I was highly disappointed that it ended like this after reading all 15 books. I think like we deserved better.
I absolutely loved the Omega Series. I believe I gave every book a 5 Star review. But Endgame? The book in itself was a great read, had me flipping the pages to see what was gonna happen next-- and when I came to the very end and read the last sentence that ended the book and the series! My exact thought was: ummmm..... I don't think I liked it. That's my thought. It could have been much better, not saying the devastation shouldnt have happened, it's part of the story & what need to be done. The absolute end was what got me. Could have been better. Expected better. I am a Huge Fan of Blake Banner. Read every book of every series so far. Is this what I am too expect at end out the other series? Ugh.
This book is the literary version of "Lost". It is like his imagination just ran out at the end. Everyone dead was really alive including his father and Ben, Marni was actually in league with his father and Ben, and then they all sat around a table just roasting a man they all knew was the most dangerous man in the world? And thought "This is a great idea, we will just insult his intelligence and rail on him with no consequences". Yeah, I can see that happening.... NOT!
What a HORIBBLE ending to a decent series. I mean I put up with him saying en suite bathroom EVERY time, like it was an important distinction. Just a complete disappointment all around.
Have to say, I’m especially sad to finish this series. I’ve invested so much time in the Omega series that I feel a special connection to the story, and to the protagonist in particular. And what a protagonist he is…. Similar to the leading guy in Banner’s Cobra series, Lacklan Walker is a top of the line badass. He’s a righteous, deadly, cold, kind, smart hero. I hate to see his universe die, but boy did it go out in a hail of fire. Absolutely fantastic, fascinating story Mr. Banner. Loved every min of it. Well done
Beyond terrific! Totally amazing, never would have guessed the ending. Book 14 should be read with this to get the full ending story. I loved the whole series but I have not been able to stop thinking about the final installment. I was looking for some kind of twist but this was something I never saw coming. Excellent writing and a series I will never forget. Was going to read Verdugo Dawn which I believe is where Lacklan picks up but not available for sale?? So on to Harry Bauer instead. Thanks for the great stories!!
I have really enjoyed the omega series and had high hopes for the last book of the series. It was actually a great read until the last few chapters. The ending felt very rushed and not thought out. It left a lot of storylines without any logical conclusion, but doesn’t give you enough information to draw your own. So disappointed with the abrupt ending.
The end. What a journey! Fifteen books later and they were all one hell of a ride. I am left feeling a little shell shocked because there are no more books in the series. I guess I will have to find another author who can fill my time. I can also strongly recommend the ‘cobra’ series by Blake Banner.
Couldn't put the books down!the ending was a total surprise! I read a lot but have not found a series like this where I finish one book and I immediately can't wait to start the next!
What about Freeman and is plans with the Russians.... Could have continued with Lachlan, Jim and Njal... Hated the ending!!!! And what about Grace??? I hate it when the conclusion isn't a conclusion!
Oooh my gosh! What an interesting story. I was totally taken back by this book. I never got the memo until the very ending! PLEASE don't let this be the utmost ending! I need more!!!
Why oh why did Lachlan Walker have to stop existing. He's my badass hero. I am so disappointed to never read another book of him but I continue to read books by Blake Banner. Wow! What a writer!!! I have recommended his books to everyone who likes this genre.
Possibly one of the best with all the twists. A time to finish I think. A great series and books I wish I'd read in order!! Is Omega behind Covid-19?.......
I loved this series, It was over before I knew it.Oh well on to the next series I guess. Really thought more could have been done unless this is still open for more.
