Instigated is the third book in the Daywalker Academy series and it should definitely be read as a series or you just won't get what's happening.

So, what is happening? Well, Franky is trying to figure out a way to get Zoltan back. And if that means doing a Spiderman impression then so be it. Fenrir is on hand to annoy her or help her. I'm not sure either him or Franky are ever sure which way that will go! Leo is also one with the wit and the banter between them all is as top-notch as ever. But Zoltan is missing and Franky needs to get him back even if it means sacrificing her eyeballs.

For the first three-quarters of this book, Zoltan isn't there - and that hurts, you know?! I've made no secret of the fact that HE IS MINE, so for him to not be there was hard. Just when I was about to pen a strongly-worded memo to Ms. Daniels, she redeemed herself in the best way ever. ZOLTAN!!!

There is so much going on in this book, you seriously can't stop reading. This was a one-sitting book for me. No way was I doing anything apart from reading. There is danger, betrayal, tension, banter, dragons, wit, humour, and lots and lots of sexual tension (and not all of it between Franky and Zoltan!).

This world continues to amaze and delight. The fight scene at the end was outstanding and the characters continue to make me want to slap them upside the head or smile at fondly, depending on what they've just said or done.

The story itself continues to move along and, as always, it ends on one helluva cliffhanger. She kills me, she really does. Now I need to wait for the next one and I will do so (mostly) happily because a book from Maya Daniels is always worth the wait.

Do I recommend this? Do bears sh*t in the woods? Of course, I freaking do!!!

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Franky, Leo, Fenrir, Myst and Astara are back in the third installment of the series! They plan to rescue Zoltan wherever they may have taken him. When reading the first chapter, Maya’s writing and sense of humor shines through…they are LOL moments about Franky! The more we read about Franky, the more there is to her to figure out~ She is more than a half blood…her blood seems to hold the key for many endeavors~ The gang make plans to go after Zoltan by ingratiating themselves at a dance. They have plans to use glamour, wigs, makeup, and contact lenses to help disguise the ladies. Prior to the dance, Franky keeps having the same dream…it might hold the answer to an important question! Once at the dance, Franky gets discovered quickly and something disgusting occurs~ But, it will lead straight to Zoltan who is far gone~ What can they do to save him? He is feral…what if anything will bring him back? It all seems hopeless…but there is ALWAYS a way~ there is also a question that arises when Franky and Zoltan are together…what exactly is he besides vampire?! They must fight an epic battle with more backup than anyone thought possible…and it is all because of Franky~ Stay tuned for one heck of a battle and steamy scene~ Maya outdid herself once again and of course CLIFFHANGER LOL…I cannot wait until the next book~ I received this as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

It's almost impossible not to like Franky, she's funny, she's sassy, she's got some really wild magic, which she tries to supress and she gets herself into these wierd situations and the how she escapes, is so much fun to read. She might be a half blood, she might be shunned and despised because of it, but she's also wanted because of it. Her daring is almost nonchalant as she exposes herself to risk time and again but goodness, if someone I cared about was kidnapped, I'd also pull out all the stops to find them.

I really enjoy all the characters, notably the female characters, especially how the author let's each one shine in their own way. Astara is the greatest friend anyone could wish for plus she's badassed and almost as impulsive as Franky. And Myst, hmm, I'm still not sure what her agenda is or even if she has one, what I am certain of is I enjoy every utterance from her delectable lips. Snarky, sassy and sexy is a winning combination by my book. Not that the male characters pale in comparison, they too are interestingly, well, interesting. I love both Fenir and Leo but Franky sure knows how to push their buttons, heck, her talent is to push everyone's buttons. That mouth of hers, oh boy does it get her into trouble! Franky herself admits "no one appreciates my sarcasm, which is kind of sad", no Franky, kind of dangerous would be right! Once again in a situation where both Alex and Roberti seem to have the upper hand. The traitor Roberti, her ex boss and "saviour" just won't let up, he still believes Franky will be the good obedient little girl she was forced to be. Yeah, right....

The banter is so comical at times I'm hard pressed to supress my giggles. There's lots of great action in this well paced read but also mystery, and the fun part, one of the many, is the journey to get to the crux of it all. The "thing" Franky and Zoltan have for each other had me alternating between smiling and cheering them on. I do enjoy the way Maya uses her words, very cleverly, to describe exactly what a character is feeling, take this sentence for example "Zoltan dressed will leave you drooling , Zoltan naked will leave you a blubbering mess with your tongue hanging out like a Neanderthal ".The characters are not clear cut, the author shrouds them in such a manner that it's impossible to know who's on which side, and it's impossible to predict what will happen next. A fascinatingly humourous action packed book, tastefully spicy and a heck of a lot of fun to read.

Franky is trying everything she can to find Zoltan, they have no new leads. Franky feels some demons are up to something, so she decides to follow them. Fenrir shows up to see what Franky is doing. They over hear the demons speaking about taking something. Franky plans on being there with just Fenrir and Franky when it goes down. Fenrir talks Franky into training, so she will learn how to use her powers. Fenrir is able to get Franky to use, do something that blows her away.
They get a lead from someone they lease expect it from. Franky decides to trust her on her information. Franky and the others makes plans to go there. Franky tries to plan by the plan they set up, but things change. Franky is taken to where Zoltan is. Franky will have to do some fast thinking waiting for the others to get there.

You will learn more about Franky and her power. You will learn how the people at the academy really feel about Franky. Franky will try to deal with everything that is going on and she will try to learn to trust. There are some one Franky has a feeling will be helpful in what is coming there way. This book is even better than the last. This book has some major twist and turns in. This author has you hooked from the first page. The non stop action, learning more about Franky and the others. Franky and Zoltan's relationship. I recommend you reading this book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This the 3rd book in the series! And man this book keeps you glued to your Kindle. Frankie is struggling because Zoltan is still missing. She and Fenrir follow 2 demons to see what they are after. When they find out , they know they must follow them to see who they take it too. Hoping it will lead them to Zoltan. She does find Zoltan, but he is feral. I'm not one to give any spoilers. But I will say each book gets better and better. Hard to believe I know, because book 1 was awesome! This series is off the charts awesome! It will keep you on edge the whole time. It is a thrill ride full of suspense. And it's got some hot sexy scenes. I absolutely love Zoltan and he is hiding things just like Frankie is. What are they hiding? I'm not sure but the author will let us know in the next book. She knows how to grab readers, giving us just enough information to make us not go crazy lol But once you read one of her books, your hooked!! Her talent is beyond words and her books are amazing!!!!

Book 3 in the Daywalker Academy series - Instigated - Frank is still learning what it means to have this power within her and dealing with betrayal of someone that she had looked to as a father figure. Now the man that she is coming to have feelings for has been taken, hostage. She chose to save the school, to save strangers, and not save the man that holds her heart.
Franky and Fenrir catch a lead that may help them to get Zoltan back. There really isn't much of anything that she isn't willing to do to get him back, even if it means learning more about her dragon nature that keeps coming up.
Will she and her merry band of friends be able to save Zoltan? What is Myst doing helping them? What is her true agenda?
So many questions to be answered. A rollercoaster of a ride with this book. I couldn't put it down. You will love it! Got on it...I mean it, seriously, stop reading this post and start reading this book!!

The story continues...
Zoltan has been taken, and Franky will do whatever it takes to get him back. With the help of her friends, she has to find out where the hunters have taken him...

Another fast paced episode in this ongoing serial story. This time, it didn’t end on a cliffhanger, as such, but we’re definitely set up for the story to continue.
Franky learns a lot more about who and what she is, and what it is the other side is after.

Read the other books in the series first, it’s definitely one to enjoy!

What a ride!!

Whew! What a ride! This is why I frickin love Maya Daniels. She always delivers a fantastic read!

The drama continues in hopes to find and save Zoltan but of course things don’t go as planned. I’m not giving spoilers here.. just read it!
What I will say is, this series just gets better with each book. We get the perfect amount of humor, drama, and action. She keeps things fresh, exciting and definitely unexpected.

If you’re a fan of urban fantasy, give this one a try. You will not be disappointed.

Instigated.

This series gets better and better with each instalment. I loved how this book played out! I can't wait for zoltan to prove to franky, that she is worthy and lovable. I mean we all love her too! I love learning more about her powers and feel for her, with how she has been kept in the dark about a lot of supernatural stuff her whole life. But we are learning with her. She has a the academy's loyalty and is overwhelmed by that. But also needs to realise that she is worthy and deserving.

Not sure

I feel compelled to read the rest of the series, despite the first half of this book being kind of boring. The second half has action and moves the story along, however it feels like the heroine will never get classes at the academy and maybe never fully embrace her Drake heritage. And why was the dragon thing such a mystery to her when her surname means dragon. Phooey, I still think the storyline started in book one is brilliant and want to read it to its conclusion.

Finally

This book took our characters into so much action and we even get a little more of what's going on with Franky and what's inside her. She calls it the monster but it's so much better then that! Then it end steamy so I'm on to the next. I'll still complain that these books are way too short to be books but it doesn't take away from wanting to consume every word!!

This book has all the feels and loads of kicka** action. Just when you think you can't love characters more this story comes along. I've actually got a crush on 2 of them (don't tell the author but neither is on the main vamp ;) ). I guess I'll just sit and tap my foot waiting for what's to come.

I have come to really enjoy this author, and this is one of her older series I’m reading. This is the third book, and poor Franky is frantic to get Zoltan back. She seems a little less sure of herself in this book, and she has to rely on others to help. We again learn more secrets in this, and there is a side character I’m beginning to love and be irritated by at the same time. I’m hoping she has or will get her own series. This is a great installment in this series, and if you have liked the previous books, you’ll definitely like this one. Recommend.

Book 3 of the series, and I think my favourite so far!
I was cracking up with the sass coming out from Franky within the first few pages!
Franky is going to do whatever it takes to bring Zolton back, but first she have to find him!
Fenrir and Leo are keen to help her unlock her abilities if only Franky will open up and trust them, but trust is something Franky isnt used to ~ but then again, fighting demigods and hunters isn't exactly normal either!
Astara and Myst play more of a roll in this book and I love it! I'm keen to learn more about Myst particularly and can't wait to see what role she'll play in the end!
Again, another amazing adventure and a must read for everyone!!
