"Desire becomes surrender. Surrender becomes Power." - The Joker
Kristen Mullings is an author of emotionally dark fiction whose work examines desire, obsession, power, and the psychological cost of intimacy. Her stories center morally complex characters and explore what happens when longing turns corrosive and connection demands a price.
Her debut novel Savage first found a global audience on Inkitt before being adapted into an immersive reading experience on Galatea. Since then, she has published across multiple platforms, building a catalog that ranges from dark romance and psychological fiction to erotic short works, unified by an uncompromising emotional core.
With a background in digital media and visual storytelling, Kristen approaches narrative with a focus on mood, pacing, and emotional aftermath rather than conventional catharsis. Her work resists soft resolutions, inviting readers to sit with discomfort, desire, and consequence long after the story ends.
Main character is good but heroine is kind of total slut or nymphomaniac with so little of the brain. I don’t know it’s not like you feel attachments to the characters. the audiobook is made very good. I’m listening on 1.5 speed waiting for the end, not expecting anything.
This book changed my view on all romance novels. They're relationship, and the way it's written about is beautiful. This book is pure art, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys romance.
It kept me hooked and set the tone for the rest of the books, which I guess is what kept me reading to begin with!!
SB: I felt like the balance of both characters pissing me off is what kept me reading also! Although sage pissed me off a lot more than Roman!
2nd rating for second book (4⭐️)
The plot def thickened in this book with Ekko , hate him, he should’ve been a character that died fr! But, carry on!
3rd (5⭐️)
This to me felt like a solution book, like everything else was climax and this was a true and proper ending to the overall story, I honestly would suggest reading the entire series, especially for this book!
The plot, was PLOTTING! The romance, was ROMANCING!
Sorry, just 2 stars. For me, personally, it's really difficult to listen to this audio book. I had to stop it just to leave a review. The main character....makes literally no sense to me. The decisions she makes are a science fiction level of stupid! Why not tell, why not be honest? How can she "forget" about him while making some decisions that will jeopardize their relationship and then expect he'll just understand and forgive her? This is just my opinion, don't let it stop you readers. Maybe some people will enjoy it but I got a headache and wanted to slap that girl several times for the stupid thinking and decisions!🤯🤯🤯
This was one hard book for me to get through. I couldn’t binge read it, which is my norm, and I did end up skipping a lot of inconsequential stuff. But it was all for the greater good.
By the end of the book, I was satisfied that I kept with it. But it definitely was a hard read, and not something that I would reread anytime soon.
I also rounded down with the stars, which is not the norm for me, either. But this time, I just couldn’t see me rounding up.

Galatea - Read Roman & Sage This book is actually 4 books And I found myself wishing it was over and almost stopped reading it because it was repetitive and it was nice that Roman was changing but it seemed like Sage wasn’t! And then the ending seemed rushed.
I can't even leave a review without spoilers! UGH!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you love suspenseful spicy romance. It does have a happily ever after but also hope there's another book to carrying on the story even if it's a small novella!
