Yes, I read the entire book today. The most inspirational book I have read in a long time. The message of servant leadership is encouraging and uplifting. The use of flamingos provides a light-hearted and fun symbolism.

Some people have the notion that living your Christian faith while running a business is near impossible. Unless your business is faith based.
However, there are many who want to minister to others and meet their needs through a business, even if it is not an overtly faith based approach.
Katie's new title encourages the reader to be bold. To be different. And, most importantly, to live your faith through all you do.
This is my goal in life. To find ways to help support my family while still actively living out my Christian faith. And that what I do can help to minister to others in the process.
Faith Like Flamingos has given me much food for though in that regard. It may be a 'short' title compared to some, but there is a lot packed into the pages.
I was given an advance reader copy to preview and have since purchased the final edit on Kindle. All opinions are my own. I have not seen the workbook that goes with this title, but suspect it is a great way to really walk through the material.

I was totally captivated by the storytelling manner that Katie Hornor used to present the content in Faith Like Flamingos. I couldn't put it down as it challenged me in areas I feel the most inadequate. I am a writer/blogger and also have a direct sales business and FLF has been such an encouragement in these endeavors. Katie uses the flamingo as an encouragement to her reader to live out God's calling in business. I homeschooled for more than 25 years and wish FLF had been available back then. Through her book, the author reinforces that you have a unique calling from God, despite your awkward quirkiness, and you can be an influencer for His glory as you grow in Jesus.

An excellent book for any Christian with a business. Especially if you are just starting out. So many self-help books are written for the secular world. And sometimes that can conflict with our duties as Christians. So if you are looking for motivation or have questions that you want to be answered from a Christian perspective, this is the book for you. And I really love the fact that the Bible verses are taken from the KJV. My personal favorite translation.

Faith Like Flamingos was such an inspiring read. If you are a businesswoman wondering if it is worth all the work, wondering if you are really good enough to make it, then this book is for you. Her book weaves the strengths and weakness of the flamingo into perfect examples of how a Christian business person, like a flamingo, is perfectly created to do the extraordinary. Your uniqueness is what will make your business soar. Whether in the workplace or at home don't be afraid to be you.

Katie Honor provides an excellent guide to building your business and life based on Biblical principles, and using the Flamingo as an interesting descriptive guide. You'll have to read to learn how to have Faith Like Flamingos and discover how to embrace Christ in your business, along with your daily life. This is a must read for every Christian business.

Awesome business book that will also boost your faith. Loved reading this, every chapter was informative and inspiring. It really gave me clarity on my business and a clear plan to improve it. I have read several of Katie's books, and love them all, but this is my hands-down favorite!! Must read for any Christian business owner or anyone thinking of starting a business.

What an incredible read this book is! The material is presented straightforwardly, simply and with an honesty about how one can succeed when they are creating their own business. Katie Horner is someone I just kind of "found" on social media when a friend posted her invitation to learning about creating your business with a Christ-centered perspective. I quickly looked her up on social media and after reviewing videos, her books, and her vision for helping others be successful, I chose to follow her and learn what she had to offer. I have not been disappointed yet!
I especially like Katie's enthusiastic spirit when it comes to teaching others about being a follower of Christ who runs a business. I like that she is "real" in her discussions with the spiritual and the practical things of having your own business. Equating our faith to flamingos is a great visual illustration that will help readers gain insight; Katie has a wisdom as she has written her book. It is an incredible resource any one who is in business for themselves will appreciate having. I will not look at flamingos the same anymore! :)

It was such a blessing to read this book from my business coach, Katie Hornor. I found a class of hers last year at the start of the pandemic when I knew God was leading us to work on growing our ministry business that he had put on our hearts years before and have been learning from her for almost a year. As part of my continual growth I read her book, Faith Like Flamingos.
Since I've been in classes with her this past year, I have heard much of this from her teaching, but reading it brought much of it to life at a deeper level. Reading truths about being a Christian in the market place and standing out for God's glory is extremely important at this point in history. Katie is creative in the way she uses the flamingo to show different attributes of a Godly business owner like how what we "eat" shows in how we display ourselves, how we need each other to push and encourage each other in fighting the good fight and knowing what parts of your story need to be shared an when.
Faith Like Flamingos is well thought out and put together so that it is easy to read and fluent. The chapters are short, sweet and to the point while also being personal and deep. At the end of each chapter there are questions for reflection that were very helpful and that I need to go back a revisit frequently.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it whether you are planning to start a business or not. The principles in this book can be applied to every area of the Christian walk.

I received this book from Spark Christian Podcast Conference in February 2020 in Houston, TX... I know, I know, I am reviewing it OVER A YEAR LATER! The author was gracious enough to give every attendee a copy in our goodie bag! And wow, what a gift this book was. We received a limited edition just for Spark PodCon so there were extra little nuggets throughout! What a gift for creatives and entrepreneurs of faith today, a push and encouragement to run your business in faith, no matter what those around you say (even if you don't allude to God or have a "Christian business") and stay true to who you are and what you are called to do. Embrace your color, like the flamingo! Adore the insights about the flamingo and the pink throughout - what a fun way to think about them, I never approached flamingos that way and never will see them any other way from now on. What a gem. I will be re-reading this every year.
