With the so-called Peace Division firing upon the protesters it’s meant to protect, new Green Lantern Jo Mullein devises a novel solution to bring the chaos to a close-one that causes the rookie Lantern to run afoul of the City Enduring’s leadership council. Meanwhile, we learn more about Jo’s recruitment into the Green Lantern Corps, and the nature of her mysterious and unique power ring.
I thought this was the last issue (was about to say last episode) but apperently there is going to be more (although when they'll come out, I have no clue since coronavirus has royally fucked up the comics industry, as it has most things). Really like where this is going!
More of a 3.5 star rating; After some confusion with the previous issue, I’m starting to understand things after reading this one. After a pretty massive revelation, politics are extremely corrupt and I wish to give Jo a big hug. She needs to rest for a few weeks after everything calms down, especially with what’s to come.
The best so far! The transitions were smooth and logical, and the action was peak! I really love the depth to the social issues that Jemisin has crafted here on all levels. And the art of course was BEAUTIFUL the detail the intricacy is unmatched
I love this series, and this installment has some heavy foreshadowing. I'm moving directly to the next comic! I can't wait to see how this plays out! Also, it's the PAX. It's always the PAX.
The action's really ramping up. I like how the politics of this world parallel human politics without being basically just human 2.0. The main character's very interesting and I can't wait to see how she handles the next conflict.
Although there's something to the plot straight out of Zootopia, the plot thickens nicely here, pointing to the contours of a bigger story and sparking some new mystery.
