Molly is too young. Too innocent. And she's pretending to be my son's girlfriend. It's a real shame how her sweet curves challenge this cowboy's code.
When my son comes to visit the family ranch, he brings Molly along. A pretty little temptation my son tries to pass off as his girlfriend. But I know one thing's for certain: My son doesn’t chase women.
Molly’s a tiny little thing... especially next to me. She’s adorable. Big blue eyes. A sassy mouth. And blonde hair I want to wrap around my fist.
I try to keep a tight rein on my untamed need. But I want to have her. Taste her. Mark her as mine. I have to be Molly’s first. And her last.
But can a gruff cowboy like me tame the queen of manicures and designer bags? One things for certain... When danger threatens Molly and our unborn baby... I vow to prove the love in my rugged heart.
This is a standalone best friend’s dad, older man, cowboy romance and a part of my Rainbow Canyon Cowboys series. Each book can be read as a standalone. Transport yourself into the charming family ranch in Texas, as we follow five rugged cowboys in their quests to find lasting love on the picturesque and charming ranch, fit for any lady with an inner cowgirl.

This is the second book in the Rainbow Canyons Cowboys series (the first one is actually a novella, so this is the first full-length), and it focuses on the eldest (at age 44) of the alpha-male dominated Walker family, Silas.
Silas has never had a very strong relationship with his now adult son, Christopher, who was the result of an indiscretion he had with a woman as a young man. For one thing, Silas didn't even know he had a son as the woman he hooked up with didn't tell him until Christopher was 10; and at that point, she convinced him that she was with a man who was like a father to their son, so his involvement would only confuse things. When his son's mother passed away unexpectedly, Silas brought Christopher to the ranch and tried to convince his young son to become a rancher like the rest of the family. The problem was that Christopher wasn't interested, felt like his dad was forcing his way of life on him, believed that his biological father didn't care about him, and escaped to New York City to start his life as a fashion designer as soon as he was old enough to do so. Oh, and he hasn't told his father that he is gay because he believes that such an alpha male will never accept a homosexual son. Thus, when his father sends him a plane ticket and essentially coerces him to come for a visit with his "live-in girlfriend," he is stuck.
Molly loves Christopher... as a best friend, which he is. Since they met, they have become inseparable (literally bc they share a studio apartment in NYC!), and they are planning to open a fashion boutique of their own as soon as they get some experience in the industry. When Christopher's father insists that he visit and bring his "girlfriend" along, Molly reluctantly agrees. She knows that Christopher has a complicated relationship with his father, and while she doesn't feel comfortably lying to anyone, her loyalty is to her best friend.
When Christopher and Molly arrive at the ranch, Molly is floored by how attractive Christopher's father is - she is literally struck dumb when she first encounters him. Silas is equally affected by the beautiful, VERY young, but sweet girl he knows is most definitely not his gay son's girlfriend. Yeah, he (and the rest of the family) have known about Christopher's sexuality for awhile, but given their history and the fragility of their relationship, he has not pushed Christopher on the issue. When he sees Molly, however, he is very tempted to call his son's bluff because he would like nothing more than to get to know her better.
When Molly finds herself alone with Silas after Christopher sneaks off to meet a more-than-friends friend, they find their attraction too powerful to resist and give into passion. They both know they can't have more than those stolen moments together, so when Molly leaves, the brief affair comes to an end... or does it? What will happen when Molly discovers she is pregnant?
What I liked: --- The sexual chemistry was very strong between the main characters, and the steamy goodness was pretty delish --- Molly was a very likeable character - tough when she needed to be and not afraid to call it like it is
What I didn't like as much: --- The instalove was a little too OTT at times especially --- Not a spoiler bc it is in the blurb, but WTF Silas?! You got a chick pregnant when you were a kid... okay. Now you get a KID pregnant as a so-called responsible adult?! Talk about not learning lessons. --- There were a few grammatical mistakes, but not too distracting.
Overall, this was a mixed bag --- it had a lot of heat, a little too much instalove, some irresponsible behavior, and a sweet HEA.
Plot --- 3/5 Main Characters --- 3/5 Supporting Cast --- 3.5/5 Steam Level* --- 4/5 Violence --- none that I can recall Language --- meh - they're cowboy alpha males, so some here and there POV --- Dual
*Note that steam level is not a rating so much as a how hot was it: 0/5 - clean; 1/5 - mild; 2/5 - sensual but nothing descriptive; 3/5 - now we're getting somewhere; 4/5 - yes please! (erotica territory) ; 5/5 - they did EVERYTHING in this one, y'all
Although I actually own a couple of books by this author this is the first full length novel that I have read and if this book is anything to go by I cannot wait to read the rest of this series as soon as possible please… I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced copy of this book.
Molly thought that she was doing the right thing when she agreed to accompany her best friend home for a visit, she had been friends with Christopher since the first day of college and in the past seven years they had become inseparable so when he asks her to pretend to be his girlfriend so his family don’t guess he is gay how can she say no. She knows that the relationship he has with his father has be fraught with problems but she is hoping that she can help them heal some old childhood wounds, what she wasn’t expecting was Silas the rancher, and her immediate attraction to him. With Christopher trying to find ways to be away from the ranch and dealing with his family Molly finds herself unable to hide her feelings for Silas and when things get hot and steamy between them and she gives him her innocence how will she ever face Christopher again, and when two months later she realises this can no longer be a secret how will Silas take the news he is going to be a father. Is this her happy ever after or a nightmare she will never recover from?
Silas wants nothing more than to build a relationship with his son so when he arrives with a fake girlfriend he knows they have a lot of work to do and when he cuts off his every attempt he feels like things will never improve but when Molly tries to help and the chemistry between the pair is becoming hard to resist. And when they finally give in to the passion and lust between them can his relationship recover enough with his son so that he can make the girl who stole his heart in a few days his in every way and can he show her that they can have the life and career that she wants in Texas or will he lose his only chance at a happy ever after and the relationship with his son for good?
Really loved the characters Molly and Silas although I found Christopher self centered and annoying at times I could also see why he was cutting his family out of his life. Really looking forward to reading more in this series and I am curious of Wyatt’s story. 4.5* Read
I'm a bit torn reviewing this book because I've read other very similar versions and liked them better (The Loner's Lady by Jessa Kane and Rancher's Little Lover by Jordan Silver). Of course those were strictly in the er*tic category where Taboo Cowboy falls a bit more mainstream with steamy times thrown in. However, the whole thing just didn't completely work for me.
For one, there were a lot of editing errors, which is just annoying. Then the characters. Silas was fine, and I liked him even more closer to the end because he knew what he wanted and wasn't going to give up without a fight. Molly was sweet and open to Christopher's whole family, but she was just too set on the idea that she and Silas couldn't be together no matter what, their lives were too different, they could never make it work... It just seemed immature even though she was 25 and supposedly had a good head on her shoulders. I wanted to shake her! Don't even get me started on Christopher. Sure, yes, he had a tough break growing up, not knowing his dad and losing his mom as a teen. None of that was his dad's fault, yet literally everyone had to tiptoe around his volatile feelings so as not to "hurt" him with the fact that his dad and best friend wanted to be a couple? What? How is that such a horrible thing, anyway? And he based his whole fear of his dad and family not accepting him as gay on his assumption that they wouldn't. Never mentions that he even put out vague feelers. And of course they all knew anyway. *Sigh*

This is a great story! I loved seeing Silas get his woman. We first met him in Untamed Cowboy. I was always curious about who would be the woman to claim him.
Molly has come to the Rainbow Canyon Ranch with his son. She is pretending to his boyfriend because he doesn't have the best relationship with his family. Molly is mesmerized by Silas. She knows she should stay away but she can't. Silas knows the truth about his son and doesn't care. He is just waiting for his son to tell him. He tries to stay away from Molly but he can't help himself. They fall in love but there are many obstacles in their way. Will they be able to work through them?

I was hooked from the beginning. The book read easily and the characters were fun... most of the time. Molly is introduced as Christopher's gf but she's acting as his beard while he keeps a secret that isn't exactly a secret. There are cute and funny moments throughout, along with some sad ones. It was an enjoyable read and I look forward to the next in the series.
ONE TANTALIZING WHIRLWIND!!! Unforgettable! The characters are genuine, tangible and realistic with such depth and qualities that blend and flow fluidly. The scenes are so vividly detailed and descriptive its paints a fantastic backdrop. Amazing job Crowne, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
This story was sweet with just the perfect hint of saucy. I enjoyed the family and friendships. I ended this story feeling like I knew the characters in it. Good Job!
I think this was my first time reading a book by this author. And it will probably be the last also. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but as a big fan of taboo older man/younger woman romance this one was so disappointing. I found the storyline and characters bland and boring. It was impossible to connect with characters and I struggled to even finish this book. Silas was more or less okay, but he was still missing something to be stronger character. Molly was sweet but too annoying with her reasons why she and Silas couldn’t work. It felt forced just to create more drama. And Silas’ son Christopher was selfish and immature. The whole story just didn’t work out for me and I can’t recommend it. I don’t think I’ll read this author again.

Molly’s best friend since the first day of college was Christopher Walker. The friends became roommates, and someday, they hoped to be business partners. They talked the same language—design and fashion—and now, as recent college graduates, they are both trying to find jobs or internships in their field in the home of fashion—New York City.
The friends have always had each other’s back, and right now, for Molly, that means accompanying her best friend back “home” to Patterson, Texas. The problem is that Chris does not consider Texas home. Home for him was NYC. He only lived in Texas during his high school years after his mom died, and Chris had only known his real father, Silas Walker, for a few years before he was compelled to be uprooted from his big city world and relocated to the family ranch.
Molly is excited about the trip to Texas. As a NYC girl, she is curious about the unknown world of ranch life, but she is concerned about Christopher who is uncomfortable about spending time at the ranch with his father and their extended family. Molly feels for Chris who has not shared with his family his sexual orientation, and so, for the extent of the trip, she will be Chris’ “girlfriend.” But, tension and trouble arises as Molly is curiously drawn to the big, handsome former soldier who fathered her friend. Silas Walker, with his mixture of gentleness and masculinity should be taboo to Molly, Chris’ pretend girlfriend, but for the inexperienced girl, he is a temptation she has never encountered and cannot resist.
KC Crowne is a writer for the individual seeking a reading experience which engages the heart and head with jolts of adrenalin produced by the twists and turns of the plot. Crowne delivers engaging characters experiencing contemporary issues as well as life’s challenges. A tenderly passionate romance, the story is structured with a strong storyline woven with emotional tension.
This novel is a standalone romance, but it can be read as a part of the story of the Walker family of Patterson, Texas first introduced in the novella, Untamed Cowboy, with the romance of the daughter of the family, Emily. The other siblings--five brothers--all need wives! Taboo Cowboy tells the story of the eldest brother’s romance.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review, but I enjoyed the reading experience so much that I added it to my "read-again" titles with Kindle Unlimited!
Pretending to be your best friend's girlfriend's supposed to be a walk in the park, right? Yeah... It would be if your best friend's dad wasn't the hottest man to walk the plant. It would be if there wasn't this electric attraction between you and him from the second you met. It would be...if you weren't pretending to be your best friend's girlfriend because your best friend is afraid of being honest with his dad.
This is an opposites attract, May/December romance that's spicy and endearing at the same time. There's so much discord between Silas and his son Christopher, and I felt bad that Molly was caught in the middle. When he's alone with Molly, she sees the man her friend has painted his dad to be but she also sees a man who's struggling to connect with a son he was denied to know until he was so much older. Torn between the man she loves as a friend and the man she's falling for, she tries to help them mend what's broken only to realize she can't force it when the secret she's keeping from her friend is weighing so heavily on her conscience.
Silas is rough around the edges and a little out of his element with his unexpected feelings for Molly, but he has an amazing heart. He just struggles to show it, to convey it correctly so others understand where he's coming from, who he is. While he's on shaky ground with Christopher, he stands tall and solid with Molly. Letting his son know what's going on between them is the first hurdle he'll cross with Molly. The second will be figuring out if he'll give up his ranch life to build one with her in the city, or if they;ll compromise on something that works for them both and their surprise family.
There's a ton more to this story than just insta-love. There's a lot of water under the bridge that gets dealt with, real talk that happens, compromises made, understanding given. In the end, there are a ton of happily ever afters and unexpected futures filled with promises, surprises, fulfillment, and love.

Silas was in the Army for awhile. A very short relationship ends up with an unexpected baby. He is never made aware of his son until he's a young boy and then the mother doesn't want Christopher getting confused of the guy in her life. Silas then comes into custody of Christopher after she dies unexpectedly. Christopher's life is dramatically changed afterward. He grew up in NYC and Silas's life is in Texas. Since he was moved to a new life their relationship suffers greatly. A son that hates where he was moved to and living with the man who is his father. Silas tries to build a relationship with his son but doesn't know what to do to get him to love Texas so that he can at some point take over the family ranch. Christopher loves NYC and has lived there with his best friend Molly. They are two peas in a pod. She knows everything about Christopher, especially what he is hiding from his family. Though he doesn't know that they all are aware of his life style. Molly tries to pass off as Christopher's girlfriend when they make a trip to visit his family. Molly sees a picture of Silas and even though he is twenty years older than her, she is very attracted to him. Little does she know that when Silas meets her upon their arrival, he is very attracted to her. He is aware that she isn't his son's girlfriend even though they are trying to get the family to believe it. Things start happening between Silas and Molly and it ends up with a surprise which she knows she has to make Silas aware of. With the surprise and what happened between Molly and Silas, she knows that the friendship with Christopher is at risk. All the characters are great and the story is well written. Quite a bit of drama, the building of relationships and the unknown along with the heat between Silas and Molly. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the Rainbow Canyon Cowboy Series books.
Silas and Molly...Taboo Cowboy Verses Younger City Girl 🔥❤👶❤🔥
A great second story for the Rainbow Canyon Cowboy series with the Walker family!! When you fall for your best friends dad is one thing, but pretending to be that best friends girlfriend is a different rodeo all together. Molly and Christopher have been best friends since the first day of college at NYU. Christopher talks Molly into going to Texas to his family's ranch for a dreaded visit...oh and to pretend to be his girlfriend. Silas is a rough around the edges kind of guy and not very good at sharing his feelings ...hence the strain in his relationship with his son. When Christopher shows up with a sexy city girl claiming to be girlfriend Silas definitely shouldn't be thinking about her body against his. Knowing his son is gay and waiting for him to admit it is throwing him for a loop when he takes Molly on her first horseback ride..on the same horse...up close and bodies touching. The attraction is instantaneous on both accounts but what can they do. While Christopher is going out with a "friend" that has already come out, Molly and Silas are getting hay in places they shouldn't, and Molly loses her V Card. Now with two lines on a stick Silas wants Molly with him and doesn't want to lose time with another child growing up in the city. Molly has her life in New York and her dreams of opening a boutique with Christopher are there too. Now the secret they haven't shared yet is no longer a secret to Christopher and the betrayal on his face is devastating to Molly and Silas. Is there any coming back from hell that breaks lose?? Country life, country life, family life, single life...who will give and who will compromise??? Looking forward to Wyatt's story!!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book via Booksprout and purchased a copy for my favorites collection.
Stubborn-ass cowboy and sweet young thing.........a roll in the hay loft changes everything
Taboo Cowboy is the first book in the Rainbow Canyon Cowboys series and is about Silas Walker and Molly. When Silas's son Christopher has to visit his dad on the family ranch in Texas he asks Molly to go as his pretend girlfriend. Molly and Christopher have been best friends for years and no one understands her quite like him. So of course she says yes and off they head to Texas. But Silas loves Christopher to death and knows him better than Christopher may realize. This includes the fact that Christopher does not like woman and Molly is not his girlfriend. So maybe Molly does not come to the Rainbow Canyon Ranch involved with a Walker man but she is about to be branded by one before she leaves. The attraction between Molly and Silas is palpable and before long they are rolling around in the hay loft. At the same time Christopher is meeting with a friend from school who has already come out to his family so he is taking a tumble too. When Molly and Christopher return to NYC she takes something with her that she will not be able to hide from her best friend for long. Silas is not about to let the history repeat itself and he wants Molly with him on back in Texas. Molly has her life and dreams which are all in NYC. So who is going to give in or can they find a middle ground somehow? What will happen when Christopher finds out about what happened and what is about to happen?
This is an entertaining story with nicely written characters. There is interesting history that motivates the actions of the characters now. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next in the series.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Quick Summary This is a best friend’s dad with a twist. Molly’s best friend is Christopher. Since their first day of college, these two have been inseparable. So when Chris asks Molly to go with to visit his family ranch, she agrees. She doesn’t’ know his family but she does know Chris and playing his girlfriend for a short visit won’t kill her.
Except things aren’t at all like she thought. Chris’ family is open and loving and full of big attractive manly men. Not that she’s noticing . . . too much. But there is definitely some strain between Chris and his father, Silas.
Molly loves Chris and after getting to know Silas, she knows there is still hope these two can work out their issues and finally form a lasting relationship between father and son.
But Molly’s instant attraction to Silas and the consequences of their taboo love affair might put a kink in her well meaning plans.
🖤 ~ My Thoughts ~ 🖤 Highly recommend for anyone that likes the older man/younger woman trope. Silas and Molly are opposites. His a rough and tumble cowboy to his core and she’s an out and coming fashionista that lives and breathes the city life.
I loved the instant chemistry between these two and the whole family on the ranch was adorable. Chris had some childhood baggage he was still carrying around and for a while there he was a bit too shallow and selfish for me but he did eventually come around.
This book was sexy, with plenty of steam to fog up your kindle, lol! But it also had some cute emotional yumminess that added more dimensions to the story. If you’re looking for a meatier western romance, with a heavy dose of smexy times, this is definitely worth a look-see :)
Heat Level: 4/5
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I must admit that while I thought that this was an OK read, I just wasn't feeling it. To start, I am a self-proclaimed forbidden romance junkie, so the title and blurb for this book captured my attention and interest. However, I found this book hard to get into and for the most part I found the characters unlikable. Of the characters I liked Silas the most. I found his desire to not parent like his father but his propensity to fall into the trap of what was familiar to him extremely realistic and relatable. At heart he seemed like a decent guy, who had made some mistakes and although he wanted to make things better he just didn't know how. As for Molly, I thought that she was incredibly immature. Now I know your thinking the blurb says: "She's too young" and yes, there is a good age-gap between her and Silas but in my estimation she should have been at least 26 or 27 and lived in NYC. I could by her sexual inexperience but she really shouldn't have been so clueless. On top of that I don't even want to talk about her careless, reckless and quite frankly in my opinion dumb actions toward the end of the book. That situation was the straw that broke the camel's back as far as she was concerned. And last we have Christopher, Silas' son. He played such a huge part in this story that I feel it is impossible not to include him. Again, for his age, that should be in the same range as Molly, he came across as childish, spoilt and exceedingly self-centered. So yeah, I found it very difficult to care about or root for these characters. I thought the story was alright and while there was an occasional flare of sparks they mostly just fizzled out. I am posting a candid, volitional review.
This was an interesting storyline what with the OM/YW main characters of Silas and Molly as well as what I am calling a secondary but still main character of Christopher, the grown son of Silas, who is gay but still feels it is necessary to have Molly pretend to be his girlfriend in front of his father. Molly and Silas feel an immediate attraction towards one another but it is one that they try to resist although they do eventually give in and of course there is an inevitable big OOPS. I liked Silas from the very beginning and Molly grew on me even if she did not display the level of maturity someone her age should have exhibited especially since she had been living and working in NYC for a few years now after graduating from college. I did not think much of Christopher at all. He appeared to be quite self-centered and actually selfish along with naive if he really felt like he was fooling his father by having Molly act as his girlfriend. His father knew that he was gay, so own up to it already and quit walking around with a chip on your shoulder and like you have been so terribly maligned and no one can possibly understand, blah, blah, blah! Did I mention that I did not like the character of Christopher? This was a good book by an author I had not read before. She will be on my radar for any other books she may have or will be writing.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Molly and Christopher are best friends, since they met at freshman orientation in college. They're going to visit his family's ranch, and she's posing as his girlfriend, until he can get up the nerve to tell his father that he's gay. They finally get to the ranch and holy crapoly - his father is h.o.t. hot! Silas isn't sophisticated, but he also doesn't live under a rock, and he already knows about his son. He really likes Molly, and she gives up her v-card during a little dalliance in the barn. After they go back to NY, Molly finds out she's pregnant, and won't do to Silas what Christopher's mother did; she wants to make sure that he know about the baby. Silas has a solution, but it involved him giving orders to Molly, and she's not having any of that. This is such a wonderful story. I love Silas; as rough and gruff as he is, he's trying to do the right thing with Molly, bless his heart. And he's also giving a good go at a normal relationship with his son. Molly - just love her. She doesn't let Silas take over her life. She and Christopher have such a special relationship, and she's not afraid to call him out when he's acting spoiled and self-centered. Mama G, my goodness, she is just the best. There's no doubt that she's the one in charge of this family, and nothing gets past her. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

First time reading this author and I picked it up because I love Taboo romance. I didn’t really love this because it didn’t feel like taboo or a romance... more like they had insta lust and hooked up and then planned to never see each other again... surprise! She finds out she’s pregnant and finds him to tell him and he does the right thing and steps up. The rest of the book is her fighting him from trying to make it work (eye roll). I found the son/ fake boyfriend super annoying, being given chance after chance to be a part of a huge loving family but he just can’t stand them enough to even spend a couple days visiting? He was also self centered and a super jerk to the heroine. On a side note, I also found it super weird that this series is about brothers who live together and eat together and work together but future books don’t reference the couple or their (surprise!) child? In future books this MC is involved, including eating dinner and talking to the other brothers (the next MC) but they never mention them with their HEA heroine or baby. I read a later book and the brother/MC family acts like they’re expecting their first grandchild even though this older brother has a child already from this book. Weird. I’m used to seeing the happy couples from previous books mentioned, usually a few months or years in the future as the family grows and we get to reconnect with past couples, but nope..we just pretend they’re single again?
Taboo Cowboy is the second book in KC Crowne’s Rainbow Canyons Cowboys and readers are about to get a whole lot of Silas Walker as he navigates a strained relationship with his grown son, and encounters a bewitching woman masquerading as his son’s girlfriend. This is a longer story than the first as there are many issues to address, but it similarly highlights the undeniable chemistry between the mature man and a much younger woman, and their failed attempts to fight an attraction that is all consuming.
I really liked Silas and felt that the relationship between him and Molly while hot as all get out, was still done with taste. And I appreciated that the author while introducing Molly’s virginity, didn’t feel the need to regurgitate it very few pages, and finally called Christopher out on his blatant disregard for Molly’s feelings. Christopher on the other hand was someone I just wanted to slap. He was very obviously a self-absorbed, judgemental a** who needed to be brought down a peg or two.
That said, the flow of the story was good with great world building and likeable characters. And let’s not forget Mama G; her presence emphasised the importance of family and the bonds between the Walkers and their exceptional grandmother. I’m thoroughly enjoying the Walker clan and can’t wait to see who’s next to fall prey to cupids bow.

Int his book we meet Molly and Silas. Molly comes with her best friend Christopher to his family ranch. Why well when your best friend isn't ready to come out to his family you step up and help him out. From the first moment she sees her best friends dad though she is no longer thinking about being there for him so much as getting closer to his dad. When Christopher gets his chance with his high school crush she again is there for him, all the while wondering when it will be her turn. Silas knows his son is gay and has been waiting for him to tell him himself. He thought by offering to pay for the trip to meet woman he has been seeing would get him to fess up. One look at Molly though and there is a part of him that is glad his son came with her. The problem is she is here with his son. Will these two find their HEA or will they be torn apart by what they feel for Christopher?
This is an amazing story by this author. It does have many ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other reader. I will say this book will have you on an emotional journey with these characters you won't want to get off of. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Older Man/Younger Woman is my favorite trope to read. It can be difficult sometimes to write the characters without making the Hero look like a perverted creep. Ms. Crowne pulled it off beautifully. Silas was the typical brooding Alpha male, but with a good heart for his family and loved ones. I loved Molly. She was so strong and mature, able to manage her relationship with both Silas and his adult son Christopher. To be able to ride the fence as she did between 2 men with totally opposite personalities and end up being the catalyst that helped mend their relationship in the end, was truly remarkable. This was a very well written and captivating story which I enjoyed very much. I had one issue with the book, causing me to drop 1 star and that was the way the author tried to write the Texas Drawl into the dialog. It was, in my opinion, overdone and sounded almost childish. This detracted from me being able to enjoy the dialog as part of the story. Barring that one issue, would I recommend this book? Most certainly yes. This and the first book with Emma & Logan are both worth the time to read.

This is the kind of taboo story you can like because it isn’t that bad, well not that bad. Molly and Christopher have been best friends right through college and share everything even a apartment together. Molly has always known that Christoper is gay and when he invites her to his family’s ranch in Texas she agrees to go as his girlfriend because his family doesn’t know and wouldn’t understand because they are all cowboys. So before they arrive they get a text from his dad and the picture is of a gorgeous man that molly can’t take her eyes off now more than ever she is excited to meet him and when she does sparks fly between them while she pretends to be his son’s girlfriend. Christopher meets up with an old school friend Tyler and the chemistry they share is beyond what either has ever felt before and while they pursue this new relationship that leaves molly by herself with his father at the ranch. Trying to stay away from each other is to hard and they give in to temptation and it’s Molly’s first time and it was amazing for her but Silas is so swept away by molly that he doesn’t notice this. How will it all work out between them all and can a city slicker really love the country.

Christopher and Molly lived together in New York and are best friends. They decided to go to Texas together as pseudo boyfriend/girlfriend so his family does not know he is gay. Once there, Molly took an instant liking to his father, Silas. The whole family lived on a huge ranch and were close to one another. Christopher surprisingly enough found the love of his life while home visiting. Molly gave her innocence to Silas but they did not plan on seeing each other again. Almost two months later, Christopher leaves to go to Vegas with his man. Molly discovers she is pregnant~ She goes to Texas and tells Silas. He wants them to be together in Texas and she wants to be in New York. In a surprise twist, Christopher shows up at the restaurant and is told the news. He freaks out and takes off, Molly taking off after him. She has a horrible wreck! Will she lose the baby? Her life? What will happen with Silas and her if she survives? Christopher?
