This is an extended version of the book 6 from The Heart of the Beast - MM Author Valentine's Giveaway Event book was a 15k words this one is a 45k words. It's like a whole new book.
How a person sees themselves is not always how others see them. This is a lesson Gordy must learn when the tall sexy agent, Gunner, shows up on a blind date and tells him that they are mates. Well he would learn it if someone wasn’t trying to kill him.
Cree Storm lives and works in Southern New Mexico. The only thing she loves more than reading about gorgeous men and love is writing about them. Spending time with her friends and family is very important to her. When she is not writing or spending time with the love of her life you can find her watching the Oregon Mountains with a nice hot cup of coffee and her laptop or on face book with her many friends.
Gunner has a stalker...at least he thinks he does. Gordy has lusted after Gunner for the last 25 years. When a picnic turns into a misunderstanding and a blind date turns dangerous can Gunner and Gordy learn to communicate?
Dragon Image is the sixth installment in Cree Storm's D.O.A. series. I loved returning to this world. And while it can be read as a standalone it is better read in order. I loved getting to know both Gunner and Gordy better. Gordy is so shy and has self- esteem issues. Good thing Gunner has been dealing with just that issue with his dragon Jamil. But can he be convinced that he needs both Gordy as well as Jamil? I loved seeing Gordy and Jamil blossom with their budding relationship. I loved that Ms. Storm allowed us to watch as Gordy realizes that he has both new friends and a new family. I loved seeing Gordy and Jamil see themselves as others see them and find they are stronger than even they knew.
I thoroughly enjoyed returning to this world Ms. Storm has created and I cannot wait to see where she will take us next.

Who knew a blind date would bring Gunner to the one person he was warned against seeing, oh and that man turning out to be his mate to boot. Gordy has a poor self image. How could anyone want him let alone the one DOA Agent he has lusted over for years. When Gordy's past finally catches up to him, it is up to Gunner, his dragon, and the rest of the DOA to keep him safe. I love that this book addresses body image. And not just Gordys, but the maharashi's too. Don't let what people think of your outside reflect how you feel about yourself on the inside. We are all worth love and respect.
Just what the fates ordered, a slightly chubby shy dog shifter for Gunner. Jamil gets his name and his soul mate.
Now they just have to keep Giddy from being killed. When life throws strive into you life call the D.O.A , especially if you are mated to a fantastic dragon.
I really enjoyed this dragon/shifter romance. Gunner and his dragon are immediately drawn to Gordy. He's sweet and shy. Gordy has very little self-esteem but there is some hidden pluck under there. I loved the name he gives Gunner's dragon and his dragon's reaction when Gordy shifts into his Yorkie. The editing needs just a bit of work but nothing that detracts from the story.
