Earthstuck

Rate this book
There’s nothing like being unstuck from space and time to make you seriously rethink your life plans. ⁣

Sally just wanted a nice Florida vacation, but between literal jump-scares, internet scammers, and the not-FBI hot on their tail, just can’t seem to find the time to relax. Will she and Zander ever have that candlelight dinner? ⁣

When a mystery lands on their doorstep in the middle of the night, it seems like the answer to all their problems. From Florida malls to the dark side of the moon, the trio needs to stall their nervous breakdowns in order to save the planet from an extra-terrestrial murderer – and, apparently, themselves.

Welcome aboard the mystery that includes stolen space ships, aliens in bodysuits, and a group of conspiracy theorists who meet in Sally's parents' living room.

S.E. Anderson proves you don't have to be traveling the multiverse to find adventure. You can get caught up with time traveling aliens right here on Earth.

Sally takes Zander and Blayde to meet her parents in Florida. It should be a pleasant family reunion coupled with relaxing on the beach. And it is, for a minute. The respite doesn't last, and soon they're drawn into solving a series of gruesome murders.

Who... or what... is killing young women? You'll flip pages at lightning speed as you race to find out.

You’d think after this many books, a reader might be tired of hearing about “Sally’s new whirlwind adventure,” but that is simply not the case. Sally’s life has changed so much, that we sit at the edge of our seats biting our fingernails with nervous anticipation for S.E. Anderson’s next installment of the Starstruck series. So believe me when I say, this one does not disappoint.

Stuck mostly on her homeland, planet Earth, this time, Sally is struggling to come to terms with her new reality, while being stalked by old “friends” and pushed into an eye-opening quest to once again save her people.

Anderson’s talent and wit with the written word will once again have you laughing, crying, and shouting out with excitement as you turn the pages of this book. The character development is so flawless it feels real. Blayde’s character has a chance to really flourish in this book, where she comes to terms with the possibility of never really knowing who she is, or where she comes from.
The scene building is so good I can imagine it all without it being overbearing. As always, I am thrilled to finally know what happened next in Sally’s adventures, but the double edge to that sword, is that I am now once again, waiting for more. I so desperately need to know what comes next for Sally, Zander (with a Z), and Blayde.

If you like fun, witty, Sci-Fi, then I strongly recommend this book series to you!

Sally, Zander and Blayde are at it again with James as backup. Going to Florida this time and a quick trip to Area 51 and the moon. Sally comes to terms (mostly) with her immortality. Fast paced story. A lot of twists and turns in this one.

Sally, Zander and Blayde are saving the world once again. Planet hopping. Spaceships. The FBI. Friends? Or monsters? A funny little robot. And absolute chaos as per usual. What a fabulous series this is and can't wait for the next one.

Six books in, S.E. Anderson's Starstruck series is as funny and action-packed as ever. And yet Anderson still manages to bring something new to each installment, something that adds a new dimension to the series without negating what came before. The result is a world that is as vibrant as Sally, Zander, and Blayde -- a world that is, in many ways, a character itself.

Which is impressive, given how many worlds they visit.

Earthstuck is no different, even though there's a sizeable chunk that takes place decidedly not on Earth. A murder mystery element is the shiny new toy on the sixth installment in the series, which has a decided weight to it after the events of Starbound. But that new weight doesn't rob Anderson's writing of its wit or its light, airy quality, and this entry holds up just as well as the five that came before it.

There are weighty questions this time around, far weightier than before. But Sally is still Sally, a key distinction even as she and those around her are irrevocably changed. Running gags lead to plot twists, action sequences are familiar yet new, and as is usually the case in stories like this, moments of calm are short-lived and portend even worse things to come.

But this book will still make you laugh. You still find yourself looking forward to the next journey, even as the companions are who they've always been. Earthstuck is very much the result of the five books that came before it, and it hints of much, much more to come, but don't let that fool you into thinking it can't stand on its own, because it absolutely can.

Let me just start by saying OMG this is one of my favourite books of the series!!

S.E Anderson you have done it again!!!!!

It was amazing to continue Sally, Zander and Blaydes adventure in Florida! Unlike the novels in the Starstruck series, Earthstruck takes place primarily on earth! With this being the 6th book of the series I figured it would be less action packed then the others but that is not the case!

Earthstruck has everything YA SCI-FI lovers could ask for! Murder Mystery! and Action and Aliens! Oh my! It is hard for me to express my love for this novel! And the ending OMG 😱!!

I am not that much of a sci-fi reader but this is my favourite! An easy 5/5 ⭐️ ❤️

Our favourite not-so-adventerous-adventurers are back at it again with the 6th book in the Starstruck saga! Sally is finding it hard to come to terms with her new reality on Earth but when her friends need her help once again, Sally is ready to fight!
With every adventure comes a new challenge and with every challenge comes some wittiness behind each and every door.
xx
Anderson provides character development like no other as Sally, Zander and Blayde are back at it again with yet another adventure that will take you across moons and back again. Only this time, they aren't juat battling aliens, but also themselves.

When I heard this book was coming out, I had to pre-order. I adore Anderson’s world in the Starstruck series and this one picked up with the end of the last book. I even re-read the whole series from the start and loved every second. Sally, Zander and Blayne are on earth and everything seems to have gone wrong, and yet they’re all trying to find their way after the events of the last book. The story was engaging, fast-paced and had me hooked from the first page. I ended up reading it in one sitting, and was left desperate for more! That ending almost killed me! I need more and highly, highly recommended!

Even on Earth, things are crazy when Zander, Blayde, and Sally must track down an extraterrestrial killer. There's always enough science-fiction hijinks to keep the reader entertained, and Anderson's tongue-in-cheek humor is electric! I love this series and can't wait for the next installment! Bonus points for really raw emotional existential discussions amongst immortal characters, and juggling surprising twists with Sally's Florida family.

Having already read the first five books I'm this series, I am no stranger to the world's of Starstruck and had high hopes for this installment. I can say with confidence I was not disappointed. I missed these characters so much. The writing style is witty and creative, and while dealing with an intriguing plot, also lightens things a bit, especially during these times. Would definitely read again and I look forward to seeing how the series continues

Love this series and each additional book

This is such a great series to read through I cannot get enough of Sally, Blade, and Zander's escapades. Each new encounter with allies and aliens brings this vast universe alive.

I simply cannot get enough and am ready to start on the next book, especially with how this one ended.
