Argumento:

Mi humilde opinión:

Me encantan leer historias de agentes, con suspenso, acción, peligro, intriga y todos los elementos policiales por esa razón elegí leer Covert Seduction pero...

Aunque estuvo bien no fue un libro que me encantó. La trama tuvo sus giros sorpresas pero no logró atraparme totalmente. Por momentos me perdía.

Colton e Isabella eran personajes atractivos pero les faltó desarrollo para mí gusto, para simpatizar y conocer sus vidas y lleguen a importarme. Había atracción entre ellos y esto los lleva al sexo, lo que no está mal... Pero luego de estar juntos por primera vez hay mucho sexo hasta que al final sentía que solo había lujuria entre ellos. Parece que todo se profundiza en cierto punto pero no lograron transmitirme ese sentimiento para que al final me emocionara la desición que toma Colton en cuanto a su relación al final del libro.

Y hablando del protagonista, tuve problemas con él, era un hombre muy indeciso, aleja a Isabella por la misión pero luego cambia de opinión y la quiere y luego otra vez piensa en dejarla a pesar que la quiere, me frustró esos cambios sin pensar en los sentimientos de ella. También decide dejar la DEA para estar con ella pero después le ofrecen un trabajo parecido con C.R.U.S.H y decide tomarlo. En cuanto a Isabella me encantó ella, no se tiraba para atrás con todo lo que estaba pasando desde que descubre el tema de Mario y el cartel de drogas, fue valiente y decidida. Me gustaba que quisiera trabajar en equipo con Colton para resolver el caso y mantener a su familia a salvo.

En general el libro estuvo bien, no mí favorito, no lo leería de nuevo pero tuvo sus momentos buenos, una lectura rápida y decente.

Colton is determined to see justice served against a drug cartel. Then again, as an undercover DEA Special Agent, that is his job. So, when he follows a beautiful woman and eavesdrops, err happens to overhear, something, he steps in. Whether she's innocent or complicit, he doesn't know yet. But he will.

Isabella is loyal to her friends, trusting them without hesitation. Then she learns a long time one has been lying and acts quickly to save herself. Needing to continue the charade, Colton agrees to play along. However, that means posing as a couple. Good thing they have such an intense chemistry to help sell their act.

Of course, things get out of hand and Isabella is in danger, forcing Colton to save her at all costs. If he can find her, that is.

One-click now and follow the journey of two people brought together by fate. If they can survive, they just may have a future...together. The suspense keeps you guessing even as you enjoy getting to know both characters individually and as a couple.

This one wants to be a ride for your adrenaline. And it could have been, if it only took the chance to be written in first person instead of 3rd. That choice always cost the story it's authenticity. It makes seem a fairy tale.
Overall the story has unpredictability, angsty and sexy moments.
Some Italian typos too, but that's not the main part here.
Colton and Isabella are "forced" together. And obviously they will end enjoying it, but for the whole time I felt like something was still "forced" to happen between those two. No matter the attraction and sexual chemistry...
But the book can be a nice read. It's focused on an undercover mission after all.

When Isabella realizes that someone she is close to isn’t who she thought they were she is left in an untenable position. Her attempts to extricate herself from the situation now have her pretending to be in a relationship with Colton to keep those she cares about safe.

Colton is following a lead regarding his undercover investigation into a drug cartel which leads him straight to Isabella. She is a distraction that he doesn’t need but the more time they spend together the closer they become but will he be able to keep her safe?

Intrigue and twists combine with hot chemistry into a compelling story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

DNF at 12%

I wanted to like this one. It sounded like it was going to be a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, I didn't believe the characters. Especially Colton. I have no idea how a "real" spy behaves. But I have a sneaking suspicion that this isn't how they behave.

Who knows. But, the fact that I didn't believe he is a spy made it difficult to engage in this spy novel.

I am not able to recommend this title.

Great read for a sale book

The spelling and grammar mistakes, as well as word omissions, made this book hard to read at times. And if your characters are speaking Italian, phrases should not have words in a different language.

This was a fun story— Colton and Isabella were likable but yet another book where attraction is the only thing needed to fall in love. Too much of a formula, even though the story line had some unique and clever moments.

All in all, a quick read for a sale priced book.

I really enjoyed this first book in the series, and the first story I've read from this author. Colton and Isabella were great together. Isabella has to learn the hard way that things aren't as she always thought. This has a good blend of suspense and romance.

Interesting. This book had it all and more. Romance, danger, drugs and murder. This is a seriously interesting series and well worth reading.

Special Agent Colton Sutler Magnolia Falls jurisdiction. Colton was at the party of his friend Alexandra because of Mario Rossi, to spy on him. Alexandra was having a charity event for the Children's International Miracle Worker. It was Alexandra's family's charity. Isabella Cavelli from Tuscany Italy is her partner in a Global Winery Consortium. Isabella and her family own a winery in Tuscany centuries old. Alexandra returned to Magnolia Falls to take over the running of the winery after her mother died. She convinced local Genius Spencer to work for her at the Winery. Spencer, Colton and Scott were best friends who grew up together and Scott eventually dated and married Colton's sister Regan. Scott died in a car accident during a sting that Colton was involved in and the guilt has been eating up ever since and the person they were trying to get was Mario Rossi and his partner. This is actually a fast paced story with drama, intrigue and a lot of suspense. Mario happened to be at the gala with Isabella's assistant Jillian. She was Isabella's public relations person. Jillian was dating Mario Rossi. Isabella's grandfather saved their vineyards and restored their finances. Her and her brother busted their tail to maintain the family's reputation after Mario and Isabella's parents got caught up in a scandal in Italy and went to jail. Mario's father died of a heart attack while in jail and his mother died shortly after. Isabella's parents were trying to do right by putting their money into philanthropic ventures after they got out. So we find out that Isabella finds out about Mario's drug dealing by accident and thus the story begins. This is Colton Sutler's quest to find out what drug dealer cost him his best friend and his sister Regan her husband. I really enjoyed this book. I will not tell you anymore of the story but to say that you will be surprised at everything that transpires. I think things are going to transpire one way and the author Christine Glover takes it a whole different way. This was a very good read. I would recommend this story to people who enjoy action packed suspense with a romantic twist.

Our heroine sees something she should not have seen, so to get out of trouble, she immediately jumps into the line of fire (so to speak). Now she has to keep up the ruse while trying to find a way out. Hopefully our hero will be able to help on that account.

This is book one of the series, so no issues their.

This is a romantic suspense story which is one of my favorite genres. I love the blend of action and attraction that goes with these stories and this one is an excellent example of the type. The story is well written, easy to read and packed full of twists and turns that keep our characters jumping. Our characters are also well developed with solid personalities and lots of chemistry. This story drew me in at the start and never let go. Overall, a really fun read and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

This is the first time I have read Christine Glover and I don't know why because it is definitely my kind of book The perfect mix of suspense, drama, intrigue and romance I was hooked from the first page and didn't want to put it down

Colton Sutler a undercover DEA agent is bent on revenge after his BIL is killed by the cartel and when they come to his Shenandoah town he will do whatever he needs to in an effort to stop them What he doesn't expect is to have to protect local winery owner Isabella Cavelli but she has stumbled onto his case when she discovers someone she thought was a friend is involved in something highly illegal soon she is also pretending to be in the same game The only way to keep her safe is to pretend to be in a relationship but what happens when pretend starts to feel oh so real. Can they both survive and bring down the cartel You will have to read to see

This is the first book in the C.R.U.SH. series. This is a new to me author, but I enjoyed this book and will be adding more of the authors books to my reading list. Colton and Isabella were hot together. This book is steamy, full of action and entertaining. I couldn't put the book down. Colton's in his hometown working undercover to break up a drug cartel. Isabella finds out that someone close to her isn't who he claims to be. Colton and Isabella now have to work together to discover the truth and bring down a monster. Will their fake relationship lead to something real? I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

Reading about the intense feelings in this book. Shock, Betrayal, Deception and Desire. Considering the emotional drama and the unexpected passion, these two characters play dirty. The chemistry between the H and h is undeniable. The  misunderstandings lead to a bit of wasted time both for the operationand the romance. Connecting with the characters may come easy in this story, following the plot might not be

Fanning all over for sexy alpha hero Colton!!!! Oh and i loves how Isabella can think on her feet!! Such a fun read!! Totally engrossed from page one all the way to the end. If you love an action packed suspense with all the feels and heat then you will love Colton and Isabella’s story. Definitely recommend you read this book!!!

This was my first read from this author and I enjoyed it very much. I loved the chemistry between Colton and Isabella. They were hot together. I also liked the intrigue. I would definitely be checking out the other books in the series.
