They survived the school shooting. But will they survive the Minute Man?

When a bizarre crime unfolds on the Wind River Reservation – a school shooting survivor spots a stranger on her baby monitor, then winds up dead – the whole thing barely even registers. Inexplicable violence, after all, is routine on the Rez.

For Saul Marshall – on the run, laid low by depression – the Rez’s brutal lawlessness can only be met with grim fatalism: when he stumbles across the aftermath of a neo-Nazi lynching of a young Native woman, his instincts are to mourn and move on. Yet try as he might to turn a blind eye, as the violence unexpectedly escalates and a grotesque pattern emerges – the victims are all survivors of horrific historical atrocities – a sickened Saul is forced to wade in.

But when Saul learns the culprit is no mere fascist, but a conspiracy obsessed ex-militiaman convinced the government and Natives have been stage-managing phony atrocities, he quickly finds himself radically out of his depth.

This is an incredible story, teaching you through an entertaining adventure of many atrocities committed by people who Believe outlandish, off the wall things they hear, and act on them. A scary thought for our country today, in which we hear of an enormous amount of crazy, unimaginable stories that many people take to heart..Saul Marshall, ex-FBI agent and a man who works very hard to keep innocents protected, is on the run, depressed and worn down by life. He stumbles across the Wind River Indian River reservation, a wide open area he should be able to give himself some recovery time. Unfortunately after a short time there, he is on site after a neo-Nazi lynching of a young native woman..Trouble in paradise..
He has to follow his gut, teaming up with the Chief of Police, Kerry Turnispeed, soon finding 'accidents' and fires happening all over. Saul is able to contact an old friend, Vann, and he will soon arrive to help this team try to find the man at the center of this hell.
Plenty of action and characters who intrigue you, from the natives to the far right folks believing government lies to us all. The history adds so much to this read, just took me longer than usual to finish as I delved into every word, making sure I understood the past. Only way to hopefully help in the future! Kudos to the author for an outstanding continuance of this series!!!

Saul Marshall is back, it’s been a while but when this new instalment landed last week I have to admit to being excited, I LOVED the previous 3 in the series so couldn’t wait to see what he had been up to
( ‘Native’ can easily be read as a stand alone or as part of the series )

The author this time has based Saul’s real time adventure around the lives Native Indians in America and as he always does has created a fully immersive book on the given subject, it is astounding how much detail and knowledge goes into his books and with ‘Native’ you get history, modern day life and just about everything you need to ‘be there’ and experience everything the characters are feeling, seeing and hearing
And then the story, Saul is thrust into a terrible scene of murder by Neo Nazi’s and helps the local Reservation police leader Kerry Turnipseed ( a fab name, authentic and a story behind it ) as she and her family realise they are next to be attacked, the story then, literally non stop, delves into who these Neo Nazi’s are and who is behind all the other atrocities happening and terrorising the local indigenous folk, page by page the adventure unfolds and Saul gets dragged deeper and deeper into a situation he cant seem to control...but control he has to as hundreds of lives are on the line
It’s a high speed full on page turner, there are shocking moments, humour, sadness and a real look at human misery that is caused by nothing other than hate and evil
I loved the town ( real, I googled ) called Truth or Consequence being featured, the parts about ‘crisis actor’ conspiracies were fascinating, the ending was taut and really well played out and the whole book reminded me why I love reading so much
Brilliant and deserves much success

Staying under the radar is not one of Saul’s better skills. Ever trying to keep a low profile from the FBI, he is at the Wind River Indian Reservation, where he volunteers at the Recovery Center. The neo-Nazis have come to town and things are not looking good. He teams up with Chief of Police, Kerry Turnispeed and soon there are dead neo-Nazis all over the place. But they had guns that were produced on a 3D printer. Then other 3D printed objects appear and people are getting killed. Saul calls on his good friend and Neo-Nazi expert Vann. With nobody taking them seriously, and unable to arrest non-natives on the reservation, it is basically the three of them. That doesn’t stop the action from getting intense. A couple surprises, especially at the end and you know you have read another really good Saul Marshall story!
