The daughter of a town marshal, Linda Lael Miller is a #1 New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author of more than 100 historical and contemporary novels, most of which reflect her love of the West. Raised in Northport, Washington, Linda pursued her wanderlust, living in London and Arizona and traveling the world before returning to the state of her birth to settle down on a spacious property outside Spokane.
Linda traces the birth of her writing career to the day when a Northport teacher told her that the stories she was writing were good, that she just might have a future in writing. Later, when she decided to write novels, she endured her share of rejection before she sold Fletcher’s Woman in 1983 to Pocket Books. Since then, Linda has successfully published historicals, contemporaries, paranormals, mysteries and thrillers before coming home, in a literal sense, and concentrating on novels with a Western flavor. For her devotion to her craft, the Romance Writers of America awarded her their prestigious Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007.
Long a passionate Civil War buff, Linda has studied the era avidly for almost thirty years. She has read literally hundreds of books on the subject, explored numerous battlegrounds and made many visits to her favorite, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, where she has witnessed re-enactments of the legendary clash between North and South. Linda explores that turbulent time in The Yankee Widow, a May 7, 2019 MIRA Books hardcover, also available in digital and audiobook formats.
Dedicated to helping others, “The First Lady of the West” personally financed fifteen years of her Linda Lael Miller Scholarships for Women, which she awarded to women 25 years and older who were seeking to improve their lot in life through education. She anticipates that her next charitable endeavors will benefit four-legged critters.

I purchased a copy of the steamy story The Way Back to You: A Heartfelt Second Chance Romance by Linda Lael Miller in Kindle Unlimited and this review was given freely.
Sad, tense but ends happily.
This story features the regret, poor communication, and strained and often hurtful interactions of the divorced lingerie shop owner and single mother Sharon Morelli with her ex-husband Tony, a member of the wealthy Morelli construction family. But is also a story of a family reunited at Thanksgiving.

Second chances. Sharon and Tony

Their divorce was final. What nowE? After ten years neither one understood how they got there. They loved each other but they just couldn't talk with out it ending in an argument.
Ms Miller crafts such a wonderful story with some laughs some tears and a whole lot of love.

I enjoyed this romance. I bought this from the local Goodwill store and I've given it a 4.5* rating. This is not really for the under 18 readers. It had a lot of back and forth on this relationship on several layers. It has children and pets and family traditions. There is a lot of background mixed in so don't try to fast read this and miss some of the tidbits. I did like the ending.

This is one book with a second novel by another writer at the end of the first. Both are romances. But I could wish that there was more substance than sex. I would label these sexmances rather than romances.

the way back to you

Not a memorable book, they should have gone to a professional marriage counsellor and put me out of my misery! Sad, I usually adore Linda Lael Miller, but everyone is entitled to a bad day!

good story

Good story and great read. Loved it. A lot of emotions, misunderstandings and questions. After ten years Toni and Sharon had fully understood their emotions too. The children’s dialogues are hilarious.

Grump/Sunshine trope?
The spicy chapters could have had more details. The storyline felt outdated and I didn’t like how they had kids. Personally, I’m not a fan of it in romance books, because then the main characters have other responsibilities besides themselves. I honestly just bought the book because the guy on the cover was hot and the title sounded good. It gave airport library vibes. One time read
