Witch's Three

Rate this book
Delilah Cross - overpowered witch since 2006
On the run and sometimes explodey.
She's working on it. Jeez
.
Delilah's got more magic than anyone. Ever. So, naturally the government wants it, sending a team of three why-are-they-soooo-flippin'-hot guys after her. One of whom, just so happens to be her familiar. Her human familiar -- that hasn't happened in, well, ever.

But the government isn't alone in wanting a piece of Del's power. Something else is after her. Something dark and twisted. Something which no one believes exists. How could it?

Witch's Three is a medium-burn FMMM RH with a hunky unicorn shifter, a dead sexy seer, and a grumbly, broody gargoyle and Delilah will never, ever have to choose between them.

I can tolerate a lotof balls to the wall stuff and ffs i read rh so im not exactly a pearl clutcher or a prissy book snob like i read some trashy stuff and enjoy the fuckoutta it and this good god this reveal end plot point dilemma thing was just so SO! Ugh that its laughably horrid and like the worse thing if thats even possible that it gets worse is the main chick actually considers to and agrees to it like EXCUSETH THE FUCK? have some god damn dignity or something shit acting like taking upon the duties of the world bike is something to be proud of or some noble cause like was she smacked in the head cause if not she needs to be cause oooooo boy.idk seemed super duper out of the realm of possibility for her character and i was like idk like fully turned off everything so much so i forgot the bloody thing have been cursed in ashotty book rut and even forgot to shelve it pet alonehave the brain capacity after reading it to review it.
Like there are some good things or i woulsnt have read to 95% i just can no longer remember them besides the start which was defs promising for like a chapter .

Didn’t hate it but didn’t love it either. The only feels I got from this was boredom and annoyance. It’s fast paced to the point the story bounces from situation to situation. Let’s do that - nope let’s not do that. Three guys but with the plot of the story, there’s gonna be more.

Multiple POVs and this one has the bad guy, so no secrets, no mystery, no unsuspecting twists. It’s flat and straight forward. I did like the unicorn and their mind connection. Halsten was always cranky and the seer was pretty much along for the ride. Won’t be reading the second book.

Wow! This is honestly unique in its world building. And the names for the powers are unique as well. Delilah started out as this unsure woman and blossomed throughout the story into this confident woman. I love how all of the guys support her and how her magic grounds them and shows them who they are and gives the new ability but also the balance of how they ground her magic. The unique names are awesome. As much as I love Delilah I really adore and favor Drish. He’s blind and I am blind and he just shows me that I can be confident in the world and that I will learn how to be as independent as he is. He also shows me that while we learn how to navigate the world we also can sit back and let others guide us. Jewel Killian does a fantastic job of describing what blind people go through. I never knew how to describe how a doorway feels to me but her description is perfect and it makes so much sense, so I’m definitely stealing that description whenever someone asked me how do I know when a doorway is there.Anyways love the characters and the world and those huge words that I had to look up. LOL there were definitely some funny moments in here and the complex thinking of Mac was unbelievable. Jewel Kylian you rock! Can’t wait for the next book and getting to know more about Joxen!

It’s written in fast forward

From what I can tell, the actions of this book take place in a little over 24 hours? But it really should be months and months. The start was good, and I was on board with the general idea, but the execution is so fast that the characters have literally no time to develop. Everything is also very matter of fact until it’s not, and the explanations don’t make sense. At 54% I was struggling to connect with anyone and all the characters act so young that it’s hard to see them as what they’re supposed to be.

The bare bones plot is decent, and if the author took some more time to build up the characters and their relationships, while extending the timeline of the plot to give more meat and weight to it, it wouldn’t be a bad book. But this one just moves from beginning to end in a way that is beyond even insta-love, that it’s totally unrealistic and hard to read.

Not quite 3 & 1/2 stars.
This held my attention just enough that I'd be interested in book 2. Book 2 will determine if I stay with the series, as this one was sort of on the fence for me. The story flowed ok, I think there were a few places that weren't as smooth, like they weren't quite sorted out yet. There were a lot of things that weren't explained, and left me as a reader wondering why, how, what, where, when; those sort of things would have added more depth to the book and improved it. Delilah was sort of an odd FMC for me, I liked her one minute, but the next, I didn't. I can't put my finger on what that was about either. Her RH was just an odd mash up that didn't really give me much background or anything to really be able to decide if I liked them or not. So I'd say that some of them were just flat for me. I had trouble a few times keeping track of who was who. The 4th guy added to the group at the end was a bit disconcerting for me, as I felt that the first 3 hadn't been solidified enough yet (I'm not positive, but I don't think I remember that she even had sex with all 3 at that point) to add the 4th so easily without making waves to the dynamics. The ending was the hook making me want to see what will happen next.

Interestingly okay

The pacing of the story felt a bit jerky. An intro into what exactly the world changing event was in the beginning would have been nice instead of feeling left out on current events for most of the book would have been nice. I like female mc. Like male mcs. Their connection was fast burn. Going back to my comment about jerky pacing. It was like you weren’t sure how to keep the plot moving but give us needed information at the same time. I liked the plot at lot. It wasn’t what I expected. Characters weren’t flat but I feel you expect us to like them more than we probably do based on the character development and learning who they are. This story needs to be revised a bit more to really pull out the potential it has. Without really getting into spoilers I would recommend going back and telling us a bit more about each character and their bond in this book then focus more on why she is needed so badly in the second.

Delilah Cross has some very powerful magic that makes the greedy government want all of it. They send a team of three gorgeous guys to lure her in. The problem arises when they don’t know about the dark and evil “something else” that is also coming after her and no one anticipates!

I enjoyed this fun book from start to finish. The characters are well developed and personable, the chemistry between the main characters was sizzling. The story line was well-paced and, as mentioned, fun! Will Delilah get to keep the hunky unicorn shifter, the sexy seer, and the grumbly and broody gargoyle when it’s all over? Grab your copy and find out what’s in store for our heroine and if she will survive to enjoy the rest of her life!

Delilah has been trying to contain her powers and hide from the GGB who held her captive when she was younger. Along come 3 guys who turn her world upside down. I liked Delilah and her guys. Their relationship develops pretty quickly, I think the first part of the book was good - it was fun and fast paced, but I’m not sure how I feel about the ending. Del’s initial reasoning for wanting to help seems weak to me, especially considering what was asked of her, and to expect the guys to just roll with it was hard for me to get. I am intrigued enough that I will likely check out book 2 to see where the story goes.

Interesting

The story moves very quickly. The whole book beginning to end is less than a week by my reckoning. The relationships take a plunge feet first. You kind of blink and you are there reminding me of being a teenager. I wish the author had taken the time to develop these relationships so that I could come along. Despite this shallowness to the characters I really enjoyed the story. Everything moves quickly, the world building, the politics, the threats. There are some editing mistakes which seems to be the norm these days for all books. The author's strengths lie in plot and made the story come together.

Witch’s Three

As an extremely powerful witch, Delilah had been first studied by the government, then hidden by her aunts after they rescued her. After their death she is on her own for the first time, running from the magical police who fear her. When one of them catches up to Del she alters his memory and sends him away. After he and his partners are able to find her again they realize something more is going on. Del and her new companions must evade their department and discover why they want Del so badly.

Poorly written

There was very little world building, mostly involving a couple of info dumps. There was absolutely no character development, just a couple of paragraphs of backstory. None of the characters actually grew or changed in meaningful ways. There was no relationship building either, just insta lust and "bonding". There was no reason to emotionally invest in any of the characters and definitely no reason to read further in the series. I'm disappointed that I wasted my time on this book and have no interest in reading anything else written by this author.

I’m not normally one for medium burn-which is what I classify this as- but this book was GOOD! Unknown Magic, a surprise harem-gargoyle, unicorn and seer-, questions, answers and more questions. This book was a ride from the first chapter.

This book ends on a HFN ending with knowledge there will be more books. This was my first book by this author and I can’t wait to read more. Seriously grab a copy of this book.

Absolutely awesome

So impressed with this book, amazingly written and can tell the story was well plotted to keep you interested. Love how this meshes so well with surprises and turn arounds. The characters are developed well and I love mixed romance as in the gargoyle who was human and of course the black unicorn with possible mm mixed in and additional male characters involved. Can't wait to read more. JL

More like witch’s 3,000. Yikes. No real romantic relationships or deeper connections. Just sex and a rushed storyline. Fluffy and shaky world building. I pressed through and finished it and it got worse when the fourth guy was added in and they all immediately accepted like it was nothing. I hope her turning into a baby factory works out or whatever, but I won’t be sticking around to read about it. Oy.

Enjoyed the story

I enjoyed reading this story. Delilah is a strong character that is trying to find her place in the world. From a young age she was restricted in what she could do for her safety. Now she has the chance to explore who she is and I think she will be a powerful and independent being. Her 3 men make a great team and you learn about each of them. I can’t wait to see Delilah grow more as herself and grow more as a team with her men.

A Fantastic Story!!!!!!!

This was my first book by Jewel Killian and I throughly enjoyed the story. It was well written and the characters were beautifully developed. Del has this kick butt attitude and yes, she is strong but I can’t wait to see her grow more and develop deeper into her skin. The have fantastic personalities that blend beautifully with each other. The story is full of drama, suspense, mystery and action. I can’t wait to what is going to happen next.

I needed this

I've been in a bit of a book slump lately, either not finishing the book or a series.
This was well written and a unique take on magic. One I haven't come across before. The characters were cute and likable. I hope to learn a bit more about each of the characters as the series progresses. Looking forward to the next book.

Delilah is a witch with alot of power and the government wants to study it as well as experiment with it. Delilah had been in hiding and has a bind on her powers. The government is the only ones that want something from her powers. I have some questions but I want to see if they are answered in the second book. All in all I like the characters and the world build.

Pleasant read, but the relationships make no sense. Going from a distrusting all powerful witch on the run to having 4 mates in the span of 1 book. Not fated mates, so that really doesn't make sense... still, an interesting take on what happens when humans suddenly have access to magic. A balance must be kept and Del is apparently the vessel to do that..

Great read

Another great read by Killian. A good plot and fantastic characters. I'm not sure if this is one book or a series. I loved it either way but if it is just going to be the one I would have liked an epilogue.

Delilah is a very powerful witch that is on the run. She meets a government agent that is looking for her to bring her in and instead of bringing her in he joins her. He also adds 2 of his agents and together they do what they can to keep her safe.

Really enjoyed this story. Delilah and her men were characters I instantly liked. I love getting to read all the character’s POV as well. I found the story unique and liked the difference from other witch books I’ve read. I’ll definitely be looking forward to the next book to see where things go!

This is a great read. I’m a fast reader so it was kind of short but the story was great. I wasn’t ready for it to end. I felt like it just kind of stopped suddenly. I would definitely buy the next one to find out what happens.
