There are deals to be made, and lives to be taken. The blood gods are hungry.
Joe travels the world each week as a tech mercenary defending the mega-corporations of tomorrow from hackers. He's got over 20 years in the IT field, much of it centered around security and cutting edge technology. In his spare time he plays video games and reads far too many pulpy books that either involve the world going to heck, characters with with complicated love lives, or a bit of both at the same time.
Well written, edited, and plotted! Once again showing that as creative and powerful as they are, this group of highly trained and dangerous misfits are not perfect. They have flaws, gaps, and enemies that will take advantage of all of them if possible. Their lives and relationships are also not perfect, and so issues arise. How people (and AIs) respond to them is a measure of their love. Definitely recommended! (15+)
Holy hells was this book a rollercoaster of action, thrills and emotional moments, both good and bad. I love the group dynamic between the characters of this book, as well as the in depth and we'll planned plot. The massive reveal was a shocker and I couldn't put this book down! And the ending just had me dying to read the next book! Good thing I've already got it downloaded
I loved reading the continuation of the series. This one definitely pulled at my heartstrings several times and I must say I'm worried about all these fictional people and what will happen next. Don't think my mind can take it, gotta start the next one ahhhhhhhh.
I eagerly anticipated this book. Mr. Kuster, you did not disappoint! Normally, I am not a fan of cliffhangers, but in this instance I'm willing to make an exception. When's the next book?
I don't believe in false praise. This series and it's author are special. The characters are deep and well rounded, real. The settings are incredibly detailed and immersive. I can't wait to see where the story goes next. My investment in the MC is immense. MORE!!!!!
Great series that touches on cyberpunk, mil sci-fi and AI apocalypse. Action ramps up in this 3rd instalment, and it was very difficult to put down. If you have read the first two books, you're going to want, perhaps need, to read this. Highly recommended, and I'm looking forward to the next one.
The story of a likeable sociopath and his nymphomaniac AI. Running their (semi criminal) empire. Generally a good story that manages to walk the line between asswhole harem hero and utterly useless harem hero.
One of the better AI books characters that I care about. Definitely looking for more by this author in the next few years Please don’t die or quit writing that annoys me
Per the muses instructions I'm leaving a review. Like the books before there are many twists and turns. Looking forward to the next book and the development of the villain AI. Next book please.
Not sure how exactly, but all of the characters and story mesh into a blow your mind adventure. I gobbled up the series on a recommendation, and I am very glad I did.
What a ride, I’m so grateful book four is out because with that ending I really need to know what’s next, these books are addictive, start reading at your own risk
That's what I'm talking about. Story ramps up. The action gets intense and the characters start coming into their own. Loved the end and look forward to where the story goes from here.
