Fine Wine is such a beautiful story with so many elements that make it unforgettable—age gap, surprise pregnancy, HEA, a hint of forbidden romance, and so much more.

The story follows Sifon, who falls in love with Manny at first sight. Manny, on the other hand, doesn’t believe in love and continuously fights the connection between them. The chemistry between Sifon and Manny is undeniable and so intense—it practically jumps off the page.

I absolutely loved Sifon’s character. She’s so well-written and layered, making her feel real and relatable. The way she navigates her feelings for Manny while dealing with everything else in her life was portrayed beautifully.

Manny’s character, though, frustrated me quite a bit. His reluctance to embrace love and his resistance to Sifon drove me crazy, but that’s part of what made his character so compelling.

One of the things I loved the most was how everyone around Sifon was so protective of her. It really added to the sense of family and support in the story.

Emem truly knows how to write men who grovel, and Manny definitely grovels hard in this one—though, personally, I felt like it could have been a little more, but that’s just me.

This is a 5-star read, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves an intense, heartwarming romance with great character development.

Well, this book was hotter than I expected. The story centers around Sifon, a woman who falls for a man about 20 years older, Manny. Manny fights his feelings for her, and I even became frustrated with him a little. But when he and Sifon hooked up…fireworks! All that hesitation flew out the window because he handled his business in the bedroom.

One of my favorite lines: “This is going to be hard, baby girl. I’m going to bang you like you owe me money and you’re paying me with your p*ssy.” Sir!

After the black moment, when the couple reunites, Sifon says to Manny, “Most people live their whole lives without meeting their soulmates, and some avoid their soulmates due to social hang-ups.” Sad but true. Part of Manny’s hesitancy was because of their age difference, and he would have missed out on the love of his life had he allowed that hang-up to keep him from Sifon.

There’s some daddy kink thrown in and interesting back story for each of the main characters. Overall I think it’s a good story and recommend it for anyone who likes age gap romance.

Oh my god. Fine Wine was a wild read for me. I don't even know what to say in this review. Should I tell you all what happens? Details? I mean I don't want to give it all away but there are so many things that happen in this novel that I couldn't stop shaking my head at. Fine Wine is an age gap romance with a daddy kink dynamic.

I did decide to not focus a lot on the details and have this great ride with the book. I don't want to dissect it too much because I'm sure there are so many books with the same tropes and themes out there that people do enjoy. And probably this one will be a super fun ride for them and you will have the time of your life. It's a wild, wild and messy ride but I can't say it wasn't fun to be honest.

Okay so Dora, our heroine, meets Manny, her business partner and friend's uncle, at his hotel. He's 51 and she's 29. He doesn't date or have any fling with younger woman and so when they have the first interaction, it doesn't go reall well. He's trying really hard not to succumb to this attraction so he's very mean and says some stuff because he's nervous. But obviously Dora doesn't know what's happening inside his head, so she's like oh well, he doesn't like me, it happens.

Manny is very hot and cold throughout the whole book. He's trying not to like her so he treats her really romantic at one point and then the next moment he remembers he shouldn't and he just completely acts cold towards her. I felt super bad and I'm saying this now but Manny doesn't deserve Dora. Dora is a ray of sunshine who gave her all in this, in the short time that it happened, but she was all in.

So stuff that happens that maybe you want to know?
1) Dora had a crush on her step-dad when she was young. When her mom died, Joe, her step-dad, was really sad and drank a lot. One night when she was 22, she entered his room and started to kiss him and he was calling her mom's name and stuff. It didn't went far but still that happened. I do realize that this was abusive of Dora, to kiss her step-dad when he was drunk and in pain. He quickly stopped it and the next day he moved out of the house.
2) Dora is a virgin and when she first has sex with Manny, she bleeds. When she later leaves his house, Manny goes back to the bedroom and sees the sheets and the blood. He wants to smell her scent and so he does. The sheet with blood, he smells it. And he decides to keep it besides his pillow where he sleeps.
3) They don't use condoms at all. They didn't have one when they first wanted to have sex. He told her he was clean, that he really wanted her right there. She said she wanted him too. She spent the weekend at his place and no condoms. He came constantly inside. So of course I thought pregnancy. It's not until later when Manny is like "hmm I haven't thought yet about the possibility but it could happen because we didn't use any. But I hope she took care of that."

I didn't like the jealous, mean ex-gf trope. They both called her a tramp twice.

I'm sure there are more stuff I'm missing but I'm going to end this here. I say give it a go if everything said here intrigues you! I loved the cover; it's a beautiful cover.

I enjoyed this book. Finished it in a day. Sifon and Manny had great chemistry.
Sifon a 30 year old woman with daddy issues falls for older 51 year old Manny who hates dating younger women.
Major sexual chemistry between them right from the start.
Not enough emotional chemistry in my opinion, but still they sizzle between the sheets.
She called him “daddy” many times 🤦🏾‍♀️
Made me cringe sometimes. But sometimes it was hot. I guess the scenes when that was used made the difference.
A satisfactory ending.
I recommend to readers who like African romance.
Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Fine Wine sees entrepreneur, Zen-level-of-calmness Sifon falling for the much older, super grumpy hotel owner Manny (aka Mr. Sexy Ogre), who has a reputation of never dating young women. Roller coaster ensues. And some secondary drama. This sure is a page turner AND SO refreshing!
Steam level: 🔥🔥🔥
(CW: initial fat shaming).

This is a really spicy erotic romance from a new-to-me Nigerian author. It’s an erotic romance of the age-gap, daddy-kink variety. The premise is that 29-year-old Sifon meets 51-year-old Manny at a party and for her, it’s love at first sight. However, Manny has several hang ups about men who date younger women and can’t accept his reciprocated attraction to Sifon. Meanwhile, Manny’s nemesis is unbeknownst to him trying to ruin him, and Sifon is caught in the middle.

It’s hard for me to rate this accurately because I am not big into age gap romance and I’m especially not big into the daddy-kink situation because I call my dad, “daddy,” frequently, it often feels jarring and a little uncomfortable to me, like a cat whose fur is rubbed the wrong way. But I know lots of people like this kink and this would be a great erotic read for them. In my opinion I feel like this could have benefited from slightly better editing- it’s not that it’s poorly edited or there are typos, I just saw lots of opportunities to make what is already a good book a little tighter in language. But overall, I enjoyed it and being my first book from this author, I think she’s a great storyteller and I really want to read more of her work. If you’re looking for an erotic romance novel set in Africa (or more specifically, in Nigeria) with a plus sized heroine, an age gap and some daddy kink, definitely check this out. On the balance of things, I liked it even though this isn’t necessarily the book from this author I think I should have started with because of my taste. Recommend.

An engaging novel about an older man who resists his interest in a younger woman. The reasoning for Manny's decision is noble, but love cannot be resisted. The story is romantic and hot. There was an interesting twist that added an unexpected dimension of intrigue.

A great read. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

This book was fun but I did end up skimming a lot. Honestly I didn’t love the slut shaming of Manny’s ex. Also Manny wasn’t very good to Sifón, I think she deserved a little more.

Fine Wine was a quick age gap, spicy read with suspense and daddy-kink. I liked Sifon's character and how dealt/dealing with her situation. Poor Manny had enemies he knew and some he didn't even know were out for him. I enjoyed reading this story. It part of a series. I recommend you read this series.

I enjoyed the shit out of this book and the steam has left me with 3rd-degree burns on my damn forehead 🙃🔥. A realistic, spicy, and sophisticated romance indeed! I’m a fan of this entire series actually. If you’re into romance tropes with large age differences and level 8 smut … this may be a pleasure to read.
