The Office: A Day at Dunder Mifflin Elementary

Rate this book
Filled with fan-favorite characters and hilarious references to the acclaimed TV show, this storybook is an age-appropriate way for fans of The Office to share their love with the whole family, just in time for the series' 15th anniversary!

Michael Scott is Line Leader at Dunder Mifflin Elementary! It's a very big job, but Michael is sure he can live up to the "World's Best Line Leader" title printed on his water bottle. There's just one problem--Michael doesn't know how to lead the line. Filled with colorful, detailed illustrations and brimming with Easter eggs and nods to iconic moments from the show, this hilarious reimagining features a pint-sized cast.

The story will introduce The Office to a whole new generation and will teach them that everyone needs to ask for help sometimes. Even Line Leaders.

OK, so I know my review is slightly biased, but I DO NOT CARE.

Literary genius? No. Cute picture book full of AMAZEBALLS OFFICE REFERENCES? HELLS. YEAH.

("Where are the turtles??" I. Died.)

This is clearly written for older/adult fans of "The Office," but children can certainly enjoy it, just on a different level. Which is perfectly fine. I'm kinda hoping that my own children might catch a couple of things, given how often they've seen "The Office" on in the background in our house... ;)

OKAY, this book is so cute and had so many great little references - Michael telling Pam that her mom is an amazing lady GOT me. S’cute.

There are so many delightful Office Easter eggs in this, and I looooooove it. Tiny Kevin spilling the chili! I can't even! HAHAHAHA!

A perfect tribute to The Office. Fun story with references to the show sprinkled throughout. I couldn't get enough of the Creed illustrations.

When your child makes you read the book ten thousand times it can count towards your yearly reading goal.

This book is a fun read for any Office fan who wants to give an age appropriate love of the series to a little one.

My 2 year old liked this more than I expected (he really liked the Dundies) and there were so many hidden references for me. It was fun and very cute.

Since I’m writing this review from my children’s perspective, I give this book three stars. If I was rating it, I’d probably give it a five star rating because I love this show so much, and loved this book.

This book was adorable, and I loved seeing the personalities of the characters come across in their tiny counterparts.

This book is still a little too long for my toddler. She can’t follow plots very well, yet. She did sit down through the whole reading of this book, but didn’t really grasp what exactly was happening with the story.

We had fun pointing out the animals on some pages, and picking out things that she recognizes.

This book is essential for any ‘Office’ fan, and would probably be more enjoyed by kids a few years older than my daughter (aged 3).

RATING: 4.5 STARS

What a fun cute book based on the television show and characters, The Office. Instead of being a manager, Michael Scott is Line Leader of his class. He is trying to figure out the best way to form a line, but starts to doubt his ability. The people buying this book will most likely be like me, a fan of the show, but it is also great for kids. Along with reading, there are objects from the show that you find throughout the book. It's a fun little book for adults and kids, and to read together.

Funny and super cute for fans of the TV show The Office. This won't mean much to kids, particularly if they are not fans of the show, but worth showing to your favorite Office fan. It's cute how they've reimagined the characters as bobble-headed kids and the funny details throughout their classroom that are callbacks to the show.

Cute picture with a ton of references to The Office. I'm not sure if this would work on a child that doesn't know the show, but it was still cute (esp with Creed constantly watching the reader). It also made me realize that Jim, Pam, Angela and Michael all have green eyes. What are the chances?

This was everything I wanted it to be and more. So much gold in these pages for anyone who wants to share their love for The Office with a child in their life. I like that it also incorporated a scavenger hunt plus a good message for kids.

I absolutely adored this book. I loved all the cute little references, like the "Vance" sticker on the refrigerator. May just have to buy this for my personal collection. I would definitely recommend this to any fans of The Office.

Cute book with lots of fun references in words and pictures! Illustrations are very well done. Made me laugh...and you know what they say...that laughter is the best medicine, so I can throw away all my pills.
Actually maybe I'll hang on to them...just in case.

I saw this book at Walmart today and, being a bit of a fan of The Office, I decided to pick it up. It was a cute book and everything you would expect out of the world of The Office. Who knows, maybe tomorrow I’ll pick up that Golden Girls coloring book I saw! You only live once, right?!

I'd say this book is less for children and more a novelty book for fans of The Office. I read it after just seeing the series so I understood all the in-jokes and references. There are lots of those that fans will pick up on. I don't think it would be super entertaining to little ones.

Cute look at The Office characters as children together in a classroom. This one is for the adults who want to enjoy a look back at the series and appreciate where the humor started in childhood.

Super cute, fast read (duh)

There are jokes in this book that you will only understand if you have seen the show but still a great book about the importance of asking for help when you need it.

This book is fun and filled with many references to the show. I do question if a young kid who doesn’t know The Office well would enjoy it.
