Commitment

Rate this book
Commitment can be read as a standalone novel or after Attraction if reading in series order.

Sizzling power couple, Bryce and Alexis—from the Temptation novels—help bring sexy back to their friend’s lacklustre thirteen-year marriage.

Natasha Jones loves her life, her husband and their two young sons. She works hard both at home and as an Events Supervisor at City Towers. But when a relationship with her work colleague unexpectedly progresses, Tash begins to question whether or not her marriage has passed its ‘Use by’ date.
Dean Jones is a numbers man but has no idea that his number could be up where his marriage is concerned. Never one to openly speak his mind, he has always opted to just go with the flow in order to keep his wife happy.
Passion, intimacy, and communication have taken a backseat to demanding careers, a mortgage, and family life, and it’s not until Tash and Dean stand to lose everything they have built together that the spark between them begins to flicker again.
And boy does it flicker ...
and ignite ...
and nearly burn the entire neighbourhood down!

Can Tash and Dean keep this newly lit flame alive and save their marriage? Or will temptation make the commitment seem too much to bear?

I m so Team Dean.

This book was brilliant. I 've enjoyed every book from this serirs . When I heard Tash was getting her own book I was dying to know how it was goin to go. Tash is a great character she is sassy strong confident and is a great mum and wife. But life is a lil blah it's the same thing every day. Tash works for the very sexy Byrce Clarke in his hotel room doin the events she lives her job and she is great at it. She has been married to Dean for 13 years and there relationship is still strong but there sex life could do with a lil more spice. With having children and working they both find it hard to fit each other into there lives.

Like I said Tash's life was good and working for a really busy company life can get a lil mad. Having gorgeous men like Sale head of security around as well is always good to. Dale and Tash get on very well they have a great friendship. But then things started to get a lil weird Dale was giving her compliments some a lil inappropriate but she was able her him. Until she started feeling things that had been dead inside her for a while. But they were things she shouldn't have been feeling for another man.

I have to say this book really did make me think. It's so easy to get in a rut when your so busy with life and when temptation is there it is hard to turn it down. I did feel sorry for both Tash and Dean. I did end up feeling sorry for Dean more I can't really pin point why but I just did. I felt he was trying so hard to make things right and Tash was just being a bit to bitch with him. At times I did get annoyed at Dean for saying stupid things at the end of day she is woman and you can't just say stupid things when things are already heated.

One this other does is make her heroines sassy and hilarious. Tash is funny from the very start of this book and she as been throughout this while series. I luv the relationship she as with Alexis there so funny together. I hope this series isnt over I would luv more from this lot there al so great I d be gutted it was over. I would highly recommend this book and series. Once you start it it's hard to put it down. I m delighted my friend recommended it to me. I cant wait to read !pre from this author.

“I love you today.”
“I love you every day.”
And he did.

This book had us in absolute fits! At times laughing at ourselves in the process, whilst also feeling the heart-warming and at times heartbreaking emotion as Dean, Tash and their issues were so relatable. We defy anyone not to relate to at least one situation in this book; be it yourself or a friend, and whilst there’s a realness to Dean and Tash’s marriage issues, it was delivered with humour, warmth, emotion and above all, in a way that provided some much needed and entertaining escapism as we championed this couple from start to finish.

‘To love is to soar through emotion so raw and chaotic that when you finally set down your feet they no longer belong to you. Love captures, blinds, binds and holds you hostage.’

K.M. Golland takes everyday situations; marriage, children, work, responsibilities…you know, the normal married stuff and turns them in comedic moments, imprinting her unique whacky sweet, hilarious spin on marital issues, that had us snorting and laughing out loud. Seriously, there’s some funny shit in this book and yet it didn’t overshadow the heart gripping emotion and reality of a couple desperately in love and trying to rekindle that spark that’s fallen by the wayside amongst the day to day of life. Can they save their marriage or will temptation step in the way?

‘But that was marriage. Our flame still burned, just with less ferocity.’

Behind the humour is the honesty of a couple trying to do the best for their family but in the process forgetting what’s best for them. As a couple Dean and Tash were very much in love, but sadly, not very much in lust and sometimes you need that jolt, that defining moment to remind you what’s under your nose, trying to figure out how to fix it.

‘They were eyes I’d gazed into countless times during the past eighteen years, and eyes that would forever tether me to home. ‘

Natasha (Tash) and Dean Jones have been together for eighteen years, married for thirteen – both work, run a house and have two rambunctious, gorgeous little boys, Thomas and William; life is hectic for these two working parents, and they’ve become ships that pass in the night and in the process, they’ve began to neglect ‘themselves’ – sex has become a chore – a bit like doing the laundry – though Dean is doing more ‘hand washing’ these days. *wink*

Attention and affection is lacking and thanks to dual pov’s we gleam both Dean and Tash’s perspective on their marriage and how they plan on turning it around; with hilarious and candid inner monologue we might add! We’re privy to cluelessness, lack of communication and decisions made that could jeopardise their marriage and the desperation of two people wanting to hold on.

“Whisper words that steal her breath, her cognition…her soul.”

Dean and Tash were fabulous characters. So real – we all know a Dean and Tash but we have to say…we fell in love with Dean Jones! This guy isn’t a billionaire, he doesn’t sport a twelve back, he doesn’t grunt alpha style but he DOES live and breathe for his wife and children, and whilst he may not always get it right, his heart is in the right place and it was his love and dedication and somewhat misplaced cluelessness that endeared us to him. Not to mention when Dean decides to try his hand at dirty talk in the bedroom, we fell about laughing! We mean proper laugh out loud! Oh boy, too funny! We could just picture the confusion on Tash’s face haha!

‘She was my perfect.’

This is our first read by this author and whilst Commitment is the 5th book in the Temptation Series, we read it as a complete standalone, never losing our way, easily following the story. All in all this was a fabulously funny, sweet, heart-warming and honest read…errmmm maybe a little too honest in some regards! The only reason this isn’t a 5 star is because there were a couple of times the humour felt a little childish in regards to toilet humour, but…and this is a big but… it was a very small hiccup in an otherwise wonderful reading experience. This was exactly what we needed and we LOVED IT!

Review by Lisa Kane

Marriage was wading through the ups and downs, fixing the bad, and celebrating the good.
Marriage was commitment.

Dean and Natasha Jones have been together for almost two decades. They have kids and busy careers and are stretched to the max. Like most couples, when you are first married spending every available moment lost in your love is your priority. But then mortgages, kids, and work become every day stressors and there never seems to be enough time for each other.

Things have been a little dull for these two. When there is time for love making, it’s pretty vanilla, both thinking the other is content with that. They don’t doubt their love for each other, but things just seem a little stale.

Nowadays, the pages in my books gave me more sexual gratification than the man who slept beside me.
It was sad but true.

Natasha works for Bryce Clark, the billionaire boyfriend of her best friend Alexis. Seeing those two again in this story is no hardship believe me. I devoured the Temptation series. But Tash can’t help but compare the romance of their relationship to her own. Having a gorgeous guy at her work, who is obviously interested in her doesn’t help things any. Tash just can’t help but wonder….

Temptation can make even the most sane, levelheaded person slip from grace. The What If’s linger in their minds and just for a moment or two; it’s a slippery slope they walk.

Commitment is funny and serious and often times, confusing just like real life. Two people have each other and their family and then they seem to lose their way. Some never find their way back but those that do; they know the worth of that climb is to rediscover what was always there, right in front of them the whole time.

“Because, as you well know, you can have nothing but the right intentions in any given situation; then, enter a moment of weakness and the outcome completely changes.”

Small things become big things and the next thing you know, your once secure comfortable as hell marriage isn’t so secure anymore.

“Wound them and they’ll show their true colors, but never forget that they love you enough for you to hurt them in the first place.”

Once certain truths come out, can a relationship ever go back to being what it once was? Or does it have to adapt to and grow because of those truths?

Because unlike the numbers I manipulated daily, Tash and I weren’t countable. We were infinite.

PLATINUM LIPSTICK

There's a point in every wedding ceremony, when saying one's vows that we utter promises to one another, we promise to love each other, in sickness and in health, richer or poorer, we promise to forsake all others, we essentially promise to choose each other, every day, every month, every year of our forever's.

When standing there in front of a priest/officiant, in front of our families and friends it seems so very simple, because for most of us, we chose this person that moment of our first date, first kiss, first intimate moment, we chose them when they got down on one knee or in my case passed me a ring box while overlooking Saddleback Mountain, we chose to spend our remaining days building a life with our partner. As sure as I am that we are so very sure of our vows on that day, I also know that more often than not we find ourselves questioning our choices, our commitment at some point in our marriages. Be it five years, ten years or twenty years, most of us will feel stifled by that tricky bitch complacency, that honeymoon phase we fondly remember seems so long ago, jobs, children, pets, household chores have taken precedent, we forget about who we once were before the dreaded C word, and often we find our once bright and vibrant relationship...stagnant. Getting dressed up for date night is a thing of a past, sexy lingerie sits long forgotten in the back of the draw, the I love you's  still fall quickly from our lips but now out of routine.

Commitment tells the story of Tash and Dean, their story is heady and romantic, over a decade together, a lifetime, two beautiful sons, surrounded by good family and friends, their marriage seems solid,  they say I love youfreely, easily, they share a connection that only comes from many years together, even after all the years that have passed Dean still see's the beautiful sexy woman he married, Tash still see's the handsome man who once stole her breath, but she also see's the man who can't for the life of him hang his keys on the hook near the door, and he see's the woman who falls asleep far too quickly and leaves him to jerk off in the dark.

I'll be honest, in true KM Golland style I was expecting a funny, sexy romp with Commitment, a story purely about bringing the sexy back, what I found instead was a poignant tale of two people who truly love each other but aren't quite sure what they are missing that their friends seem to have. That old saying that you can't see the wood for the tree's resonated so deeply for me here, I've had those moments, I've felt unsure in my marriage, I've felt like everyone else must be in on some secret I wasn't privy to, I've felt under appreciated, invisible, like a flatmate instead of a lover or a spouse, I've lost that spark and wondered if marriage is truly supposed to last forever, in truth I still do at times, I had moments reading Tash's thoughts sure that Golland had somehow hijacked my brain and scooped out my most secret thoughts.
It was confronting, and so very real that I found myself sitting in my bathroom quietly crying, because finally I could give voice to these thoughts swirling in my mind, but more than that for once I felt a little less alone.

There's so much beauty in Golland's words, there's a honesty in this story, there's a rawness that is so very confronting, it makes you think, but more importantly, it makes you feel. Mixed in between sassy banter, uproariously funny exchanges, swoon worthy romance and scintillatingly sexy hijinks is a story that needs to be told. I've often regarded author's like Taylor Jenkins Reid as the creator of life lessons instead of a writer, after finishing Commitment, KM Golland has cemented her place as the teacher of truths, the creator of life lessons, a writer of real life.

I don't need to know what a book is about when it's KM Golland, I will read anything that she writes. Not only does she write amazing books she writes about realistic events that everyone can relate to and Commitment did just that.

Tash and Dean have been married for 13 years and have a lacklustre marriage. Tash loves her life, husband and Kids but when a relationship with her colleague Dale develops Tash wonders if her marriage is passed it's 'sell by date'. Can Tash and Dean save their marriage?

Tash and Dean enrol their friends, Power Couple Bryce and Alexis to help bring 'Sexy Back' to their marriage.

I loved this book so much m. It had me laughing so much, I especially loved the shower scene, I laughed so much reading this. I was always kept on my toes throughout, I was routing for Dean and then routing for Dale at times and I didn't know where my loyalties were at times which I loved. I loved that I got more of my ultimate book husband Bryce. I loved all his 'Bryce Advice' for Dean.

This book has everything Romance, Comedy, Sexy Times, Not so Sexy Times hurt and betrayal but an amazing True Love, Soul Mates Story. I absolutely love this series and author. Kelly your writing is amazing and please don't ever stop what you do cause you are truly an inspirational woman and author. I salute you!!

Commitment. Just as she has with her other books KM Golland has managed to have you fall in love with the story and her characters.
I mean I've loved Tash before but love her even more now.

A story about everyday struggles of motherhood and wifehood. Struggles which sometimes can lead to temptations. Temptations so real leaving you questioning yourself and your life.

Follow Tash's struggles not only with herself but with her marriage and find out if she is able to overcome the temptations luring her to a forbidden path.

I couldn't put it down. I love KM's riding style. Her humour will have chuckle out loud more than once. Loved to see Bryce and Alexis back as well. Another five star read⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ARC received for an honest review

It's been a while since we have been in "temptationland", however as soon as I picked up Commitment to read, it was like I had never left.

KM Golland really has a way with words, and I was expecting her flair for fun and flirtatious stories to come to the fore with Commitment.

It did that, however Commitment is so much more.

Tash and Dean's marriage is well past the honeymoon stage, it is long work hours, kids, housework. They are in a bit of a rut, however those wedding vows are still important. They just need to find their way back to each other.

Their story is beautiful, emotional and poignant. It will make the reader look at their own relationships in a different way.

I adore both Tash and Dean - there is no bad guy in this story, just time and circumstance has brought our lovelies to where they are today.

I LOVED getting my Brylexis fix! Still love them as much as I did when I first read them. And get them in a room with DIK and Carly and this girl was in temptation heaven!

There are plenty of laugh out loud moments, especially with Tash and Lexi - those two are my #FriendshipGoals

Commitment was a book that I couldn't put down, and I already want to go back and read it again.

I was in a total book funk when I started this book, but OMG I wasn't disappointed. Once I started I couldn't put it down.

I could so relate to Tash Jones. She's a middle aged mum of two, working and running a family home, in that stage of life that comes to us all.... "The Rutt"!

That's when Dale (the hot security guard) comes into her life and the story takes flight and really kick starts the hotness and banter. Although banter probably isn't the word, it's so funny. It's definitely Kelly's best work to date in that department.

Dean Jones is just your run-of-the-mill man who has no idea why Tash is feeling undesirable and frumpy. Life is normal to him....a beautiful wife, two gorgeous boys, what could possibly be wrong with life? Other than the hot secretary working for him who's like a little sister to him or so he thinks....

One of the best things about the book is Bryce (Boss Hotty) and Lexi are back too. Being Tash and Dean's best friends they both go to them for relationship advice. Also chucked in the mix is Carly and Derek (Dik), oh how I've missed this bunch. Once they started with the advice the banter had me laughing so hard, they are one crazy bunch!

Obviously things don't run smoothly for them both and the question of if they'll stray away from the beautiful marriage they have has you on the edge of your seat at times.

I don't want to give too much away but to say this book is definitely a 5⭐️+, Kelly you have excelled with this one, I enjoyed it so much.

Commitment by K.M. Golland
Standalone, though it is #5 in a related series as well.
Commitment by KM Golland is one of my new favorite books! I think it’s a must-read for any woman or man who might be happily married but might also be stuck in a bit of a rut. I am married 26 years and we went through some serious ruts over the years. I think every woman would find something relatable, maybe just knowing a friend is going through the same. I can tell you, ¾ or more of my married friends have gone through this in their marriage and a number of those marriages didn’t survive or are on very shaky ground.

I really hate that Commitment is lumped into her Temptation Series (though the title fits) because I think everyone should read it but I know so many people would be put off by the fact that it’s #5 in a series and feel they either have to read the ones before it, or they won’t even read it at all. I read the first back in 2012 or 2013 and haven’t read any since, so I don’t remember it at all. Commitment stood alone just fine for me. There were a couple of things that may have been better if I read the previous books, but not once did I feel like I missed something.

Natasha “Tash” Jones is happily married with two boys. She loves her husband, loves her life, but it’s a busy life, with both parents working and two kids. There are only so many hours in a day, and plain old sex just isn’t a priority.
It was disheartening, really, having sex with my husband because I felt guilty. Sex shouldn’t be like that when you love someone. It should be exciting, rewarding … enjoyable. It shouldn’t be an obligation or a score settler. But that was exactly what it had become where I was concerned. And I hated that.

Maybe if sex were a bit more exciting she’d feel different.
I wouldn’t exactly call him boring, but he wasn’t Christian Grey or sexventurous. He was just happy do the same-old, same-old every time. Okay, so he was a little boring. It didn’t matter though. I still loved him deeply.

Dean was so awesome. He is the sweetest guy and he is crazy about his wife. He still wants her desperately, if only she didn’t pass out every night after work, leaving him and his hand all alone.
Narcoleptic or not, my wife was a keeper, the most stunning woman I’d ever laid eyes on; back then, now and forever. No matter how much she’d changed, or would change in future, my desire for her was and always would be unwavering. And not only was she a milf or cougar, or whatever the fuck middle-aged hot women were referred to, she was also the perfect mother to our boys. Plus, she worked her arse off just as much as I did. She was my perfect.

Can you say “awwwww….” They have been together 18 years and she is still his everything. But he is so clueless.
I’d found this great channel a few nights ago that had some hot, kinky shit. Shit I’d never try on Tash. My wife was adventurous but not in the bedroom. She liked it soft, smooth, sensual and missionary. She liked our sex life as it was. And that was fine. I wasn’t complaining. I loved having sex with Tash however it came. Pun not intended.

When the head of security at her office starts to flirt with her, Tash can’t help but feel flattered. Dean might be thinking all the wonderful things about her, but who can remember the last time he told her? So you have Dale, this big, hot, sexy head of security, and he is REALLY flirting. Making her feel sexy as hell, making her feel wanted, giving her dirty ideas, noticing the little things about her like sending her favorite flower instead of the same old red roses Dean sends whenever he’s in trouble. This all just drives her further from Dean and makes her realize all the things her marriage is lacking.
I was angry with him for not being the man I craved. I was angry with him for not being the man he could be. I was angry with him because … because I just was. And I couldn’t help but feel that way. It was horrible and I hated it.

As they start to get some great advice from friends passions ignite again. But can they survive Dale from security?

One of my favorite things about this book is that there was really nobody to blame for the downturn of their sex lives, it was both of their responsibilities, and I loved how KM Golland kind of smacked me over the head a bit and reminded me.
“Most women prioritise it below chores. Why is that? It just doesn’t make sense. A chore is something you don’t want to do but do because you have to. Most women treat sex like a chore, and that’s a huge problem. Sex should not be a chore. Sex is pleasurable.”

Oh how I wish I could get my husband to read this. It’s honestly like a handbook on how to keep a strong marriage all tied up in a hysterically funny and emotionally poignant story.
“I love you today.”
“I love you every day.” And he did.

Likes:
One of the most relatable stories I have ever read.
I laughed out loud numerous times.
I highlighted so many passages, I can publish a little booklet on keeping the spark!
So unique, I LOVE books about married couples (I have started writing several but I’d rather read others.)
I absolutely loved Dean. He was as clueless as all men, but he loves his wife so much.
Even when I got a little angry at Tash, I totally was able to slip into her shoes and know exactly where she was at.
I got some great advice I took to heart.

Dislikes:
My dislike is more about how it’s marketed. I think it should be a standalone spin-off because I think everyone needs to read it and so many won’t because it it #5 in a series.

Note:

The story takes place in Australia, but you wouldn't know it except for a few phrases and spelling differences.

The Down & Dirty:
Commitment is a must read for married couples, both men and women alike. I loved reading about a long-time married couple trying to find the spark they once had. Major temptation, lots of laughs, introspection, sexy times and great advice from friends show that marriage isn’t always smooth sailing. It takes work on both parts and the failure of a marriage can also happen from just being complacent. Commitment stood alone just fine, and I don’t think it’s necessary to read previous books in the series, but I really love KM Golland’s sometimes raunchy, sometimes immature humor, and will now be looking out for more new releases from her, I hope we have another with a more mature couple! Commitment was so unique in that it is a married romance, and it's a top pick for this blog, already on my upcoming Best of 2017 list.

I wrote Commitment because I wanted Tash and Dean's story to be different from the others in the series. It's not about finding new love, and yet it is because old love can become new again.

It’s an absolute joy discovering authors and having the opportunity to review their books. I really don’t think I could have popped my ‘Golland Cherry’ a better way, either. I love a romantic comedy and Commitment most certainly fitted the bill. As per usual, I dived in headfirst without reading the blurb and ooh boy, am I pleased I did just that! I hadn’t got past the first chapter when I was nudged by my better half for making unladylike noises. I couldn’t help myself though. This read deserves all the snorts, chuckles and laugh-out-loud hoots without being reprimanded, and I would even go as far as saying be careful where you read it if you’re inclined to blush! Golland’s outlandish sense of humour isn’t so much bizarre as very close to home. Her comical narrative reminded me what family members do unconsciously, but the way she tells it with a wit second to none, is beyond hilarious.

“It takes two to tango, and the tango starts with you.”

It’s also refreshing to know you’re not the only one who has to bear the mundane and simple things in life like putting the toilet seat down. Okay, I wasn’t expecting her to mention this small sin our menfolk commit so when she did, she could have knocked me over with a feather! This gives you a good idea where the author’s going. She takes the reader on Natasha Jones, aka Tash, and Dean’s marriage journey which isn’t exactly a bed of roses. It’s a journey overflowing with emotions...light-hearted moments are cannily balanced out with nail-biting scenarios, urging me to give Tash and her hubby a good talking to! Food for thought; what they go through also had me reflecting on how many of us experience situations similar to theirs for one reason or another. It got me wondering if Ms Golland has ever considered being a marriage counselor or better still, a sexologist ‘cause she’d make a damn good one!

“Sheesh, why’s it so hard for couples to talk about sex? About what they want, what they like and what they hate.”

It all boils down to chores, responsibilities and kids, letting your love life slip by putting everyone and everything before yourself. Dean isn’t likable, he’s damn right lovable and bloody gorgeous, too! He’s your normal kind of guy, hard-working, a fabulous father to his two munchkins but like most dads, he has his traits. You’ll never look at a set of keys the same way!  Regardless of his wife’s little quirks, he adores the earth she walks on; nonetheless, something’s gone amiss. He’ll have to devote more time and effort if he wants more bed and less sleep!

“...I think you should get more donuts. You obviously want them.”
“I do. I love donuts.”

Tash’s problem is one a lot of working mums have. Combining a job and running a household is exhausting and a good night’s sleep to charge the batteries for the next day’s hurdles is at the top of her list. Getting amorous isn’t, or is it? Hmm… there’s much more to her story than meets the eye. I lapped up her conversations with her bestie, Alexis, who happens to be Tash’s boss’ girlfriend and Dean’s mate, too. This couple made me scream! They have the perfect relationship inside and out of the bedroom and their advice, albeit a tad unorthodox, is always on hand. The beauty of it is neither their respective friends know what’s going on behind their backs. Of course, other third parties add spice, intrigue and a good dose of what I’d call, ‘space-encroaching-scenarios' to their story.

“You’re cute as hell when deliberating fight of flight, Tashy.”
“That’s not what I’m doing.”
“Yeah, it is.”

Narrated from a dual point of view is a huge plus for the reader. And even though the outstanding banter flows non-stop, the inner-monologue shows you how they really feel about the rut they’ve got themselves into and how deep their love runs. Goodness me, not only is the character development phenomenal, but the originality of the plot is out of this world. Home truths nudged me, shedding light on how I, for one, could rectify my mistakes however small they are. We can learn by them and not take our spouses for granted, that it’s worth fighting for the status quo by taking a leaf out of Dean and Tash’s book, pun unintended! Thus, the title couldn’t have been more fitting. Reminding us of our marriage vows has never been driven home so well in any book I’ve read, and I can’t thank the author enough for doing just that. Bravo!

“I love you today.”
“I love you every day.”

Wow, this book!! It's been a while since I've visited Brylexis world, but as soon as I started reading this I knew I was back, transported into the unique writing style of Kelly Golland - full of real life drama, wit, sass, sexy times and so much laughter I peed myself!!!

This is Tash and Dean's story. They've been married for a number of years, have 2 sons, and Alexis is Tash's best friend, with Bryce being her boss. They are surrounded by loving family and friends, but seem to have got in a rut without realising it. Tash nags him to hang his keys up when he gets home from work - how difficult is this, can he now remember?? Dean puts her to sleep with his normal missionary position and slow love making while she fakes her orgasm, or is just flat out asleep and he ends up using porn to relieve himself!!

Its not until temptation is brought into the frey that Tash starts to question what she has with Dean, and realises that something is missing, but will she find that missing something somewhere else??

This has got to be one of the best books I've read so far this year, it was that good, and I've read a lot!! Such a brilliant read, and if you're a normal person that has been married or is married, is so completely relate-able to!! The stuff that happens in this book happens in real life, its as simple as.
I can definitely make comparisons to my own life to stuff that happens in this book!!

So for me it was a very poignant read, and had me thinking and feeling vast amounts of apathy for Tash and what she was going through. But as this is told from a dual point of view, you also get the same bit of the story but from Dean's perspective, which throws a whole new light on the subject.

There is no bad guy in this story, there is just life and what it throws at you and how you handle it.

Of course if was fabulous to get a bit more of Alexis and Bryce as they feature quite a lot in here, offering advice to the couple in their own unique way. That in itself was brilliant, to see how Alexis works Bryce and vice versa, and the advice they had to offer!!

I was totally gripped by this, unable to put it down until I had finished. There were times when I giggled, snort-laughed and full out belly laughed until I peed myself, thinking OMG that is me / that is my husband!! At other times I was wrecked and totally felt what they were going through. Its a fabulous story, emotional at times, heartfelt, real, gross, cringeworthy, funny, sexy, sad - so many feels reading this!!!

I can't recommend this enough, this is a must read for anyone, and as I said one of the best reads of the year so far. A fabulous 5 stars.

Commitment is Book #5 in KM Gollands Temptation Series. I have to admit this is one of my favourite series and I was so glad to go back and spend some time with my friends at City Towers. We have previously met Natasha Jones (Tash) in Book 1 as she is good friends with Alexis who is now married to City Towers owner Bryce Clarke. Tash has a great life which she loves, she been married to Dean for what seems like forever and has two wonder young sons. She works as the Events Supervisor at City Towers. When Tash’s relationship with her co-worker Dean, who works in Security at City Towers, progresses it starts to make Tash think about her marriage and if it’s all she thought it really was. Dean is a relaxed and fairly easy going sort of guy, he never really speaks his mind and really just goes with the flow in order to keep his wife happy. He has no idea that his marriage could be in trouble. Again with this book we see Ms Golland’s sense of humour show through. There were times while reading this that I literally laughed out loud. Donuts, Donuts, Donuts. There are lots of funny lines and new words I like to call “KM Words”. There were twists and turns and I literally didn’t know what was going to happen with this couple. I thought I knew, but was totally blown out of the water with what happened. This is another fantastic read that I would highly recommend.

Another wonderful story from Kelly as she continues on from the Temptation series with Tash and Deans story. As always her writing is a joy to read, funny little quips along the way grace the pages of this book that has it all. Romance, love, doubt, fear, sex and humour, this book gives you all the "feels" as I felt I could so relate to the many things Tash and Dean was going through. This book is REAL !!!

Tash and Dean love each other but she feels somehow that the romance; the spontaneity of their marriage has faded over the years, with two children and a job she loves, finding time for each other is sometimes on the back burner and the journey of discovery they go on is pure gold to read. Through tears of laughter, tears of sadness we get to experience a journey that Tash and Dean need to ride to discover who they are now and what they want from life and each other - with a few bumps along the way.

Kelly never fails to deliver a book that I don't LOVE. Her work is impeccable and so enjoyable to read and puts a smile on your face every time. Even better we get to meet up with Bryce and Alexis again which is always good.

Seriously go one click this series - this book has it all and you won't want to miss a second of it. Absolute perfection !!!!!!

5+++ Stars

This is without a doubt one of my favorite books this year. K.M. Golland has once again delivered an outstanding book that is funny, sweet, sassy, and sexy… and felt very much real. This book deals with everyday issues married couples face. It’s a beautiful story of what marriage is really like after the honeymoon stage and how important communication is in a relationship.

I connected so close with the characters; they were real, they were raw, they were down to Earth. I saw myself in these characters and I cringed because I thought “OMG I do that!” I’ve felt the feelings Tash had in her relationship with Dean and I understood Dean’s POV. At the end of the day, they both wanted the same thing, they just didn’t know how to communicate that.

Dean has become one of my favorite characters. I fell in love with him throughout the book. I loved his POV; they were hilarious! I think I loved him so much because I saw my husband in his character. He had all the best intentions….they just didn’t always stick. Like when he cooked dinner…the kitchen was a mess but in his eyes he cooked dinner so he should be one up. I wanted to say “yeah buddy, it doesn’t work that way.”

And one thing I really loved was that I got more of Brylexis! I was giddy with excitement when Mr. Clark appeared in the book. Swoon. I will never get enough of those characters.

I really adored this book and it’s a must read. Temptation is one of my favorite series but this book I think is my favorite out of all of them…sorry Brylexis!!

What a fantastic story! It's got the lot: love, friendship, upset, betrayal and fantastic humour. I have to say this book has been long awaited but the wait was definitely worth it! I love the Temptation series and K.M. Golland’s writing so this is a very welcome addition to the series.

This is the story of a real marriage, one that gets a bit boring and bit mundane. I loved the honesty of this book and felt I knew exactly what was going on in their heads and hearts; most of us have been there and done that, if we are honest. I could certainly relate to what they were going through.

This is Tasha and Dean’s story; Tash is Lexi Summers' balloon fearing friend. I have to confess I wanted to slap Tash on more than one occasion for being selfish. However, besides wanting to slap some sense into her she did make me laugh. Her husband Dean, is a typical bloke, guileless when it comes to women and how to put the zing back in his marriage. He has terrible toilet humour and a really good heart. He is kind, caring, a good guy and I loved him!

I adored that we got more Bryce and Alexis in this story; Bryce is definitely one of my favourite Alpha males. I think he is wonderful and his relationship with Alexis is magical.

If you have read the Temptation series and loved it like I do, then this is a must read. If you haven’t read the series, what are you waiting for?

I have really missed this authors flair for writing hilarious stories!
This book was no different and I loved it immensely!
Commitment! You commit when you marry, in sickness and in health, blah blah....
What happens when down the track, there's work, kids, housework etc and when do you have time to connect with your partner on an intimate level??!! As a mum, well, if you are one, this book will hit close to home! There really is a message in this book and you will have to read it to find out what I mean
Tash has a great job, a loving husband and 2 boys....she's stuck, she wants something and when something happens at work should she risk everything she holds dear in life??? I really felt for her! I actually feel part of her life is quite similar to mine...
I loved the different point of views, I especially loved when the women gave each other advice as did the men!! I also loved the way Alexis and Tash were, their hilarious words and heartfelt moments just sealed the deal that friends are really needed in life, as a kind of counselor to your feelings and turmoil inside!
I loved Deans take on things and I thought maybe in our everyday life we get stuck in a rut and don't appreciate family, when we should be doing just that!!
I feel like I really understand Tash to tell you the truth and I really want to read this book all over again!!!
Absolutely loved it and would highly recommend this book!!

Wow KM has done it again!!

KM never fails to produce a book that is absolutely amazing and captures you from the very start...I love her words and Commitment has again proved just how much...

Tash and Dean are happily married but well past the honeymoon stage, there life is the same, work, kids, chores and the same old sex life....they need some spice in there life and to find that flame that's nearly going out...

I love how KM makes you look at your own relationship through the eyes of these characters, it takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions through the story, it honestly had me laughing so hard at it and I also at times felt so sorry for them....

Commitment is the 5th book in the series and I really hope it isn't the last, I love been back with all these characters and seeing there relationships develop....I honestly loved this book from start to finish and didn't want it to end...my love for KM books will always be there.

Another 5 ⭐️ book...would give 10 ⭐️ if I could. Well done KM for a fantastic read.

KM Golland has done it AGAIN!

Not only have we re-entered the world of Brylexis but this has ALL the flare, fun and frivolity I have now come to expect from a Golland novel.

From snort-worthy one-liners, to gasp-worthy inner monologues, this story has it all.

The story flowed easily, the dual POV totally worked and the emotions it evoked were real.

Yes, it's more romantic comedy than angst-filled romance but there were moments where you forgot the funnies that just happened and realise that there is something serious going on here. Something that I'm sure a lot of married couples can relate to.

What a unique story and fantastic way of telling it, bravo!!

I'm speechless

I don't think I've ever read a book where I've connected as much with a character as I did with Tasha. I think most mothers, wives and/or girlfriends go through a period of their relationship when the daily grind becomes too much routine and not enough of what made the relationship so great to begin with. I could relate to every single feeling Tasha had throughout this book, the self doubt, loneliness, despair, sadness but also her tenacity, willpower and want to fix her marriage. I loved getting a male POV and Dean explained the male POV perfectly.
In my marriage I've been where Tasha and Dean were struggling and the fact that this book exists, tells me that what my husband and I fought and struggled though and what ultimately made us stronger, isn't a rare occurrence. Every wife and mother should read this book <3
I really didn't think a book could beat Temptation but this book just did. I'm left with a feeling of knowing I read something truly amazing but also something that will have a permanent positive impact on my life. Thank you Kelly for writing something so truly amazing <3

I'm ashamed to say this is the first book I have read by this author but what a book to start with, it's hilarious and I mean snort out loud hilarious......
Commitment is book 5 in the Temptation Series but I'm proof they can be read as standalones, this is Tash and Dean's story and it's a story that I'm sure will ring true with many couples who have been married for many years, trying to juggle work and home life with a couple of kids. Tash and Dean have it all, two adorable sons, great family and friends but they never seem to have time for just them, Dean still sees his beautiful sexy wife he married over a decade ago and Tash still sees the gorgeous hunk she fell in love with all those years ago but how do you keep that spark going how do you have scream out loud sex with two little boys sleeping down the hall. .........
This book had me in stitches but it's not just a comedy it's a love story, it's hot and it drew me in and there was no way I was putting it down til I had read the last line. I fell in love with this couple well I felt like I knew them or did the story ring true to me either way I'm going to say this is a must read and I need to read not only the other books in this series but I also need to read the other books K.M. Golland has written some of which are sitting on my kindle now.

Commitment - K M Golland.

I was given this book for an honest and unbiased review.

My first book by K M Golland but it won't be my last.
Commitment is Book #5 in the Temptation series but I had no difficulty reading thus as a standalone. I will be now going back through this series and catching up with the rest because this was a wonderfully written story with genuine heart and a descent dose of humanity and reality.

Tash and Deans story is your typical one of a long term marriage that has hit that random rough patch where work and family commitments seem to constantly push their connection to the back burner. Their spark just doesn't seem to be there anymore, though it's certainly not dead, just out of synchronisation and a hint of infidelity just adds to the mix, creating a story that's funny, thought provoking and a gem to read.

I'll definitely be reading more of this series.

KM Golland is back with another instalment in the TEMPTATION series. This time it's Lexie's best friend Tash and her husband Dean who are the lead couple. Tash and Dean have been married for many years and share 2 adorable sons. Lately their marriage has been stale and unfulfilling. Although Tash and Dean still love one another, they're finding it hard to get their groove back.
After they follow advice from their friends Lexie and Bryce, are they able to overcome this hurdle?
COMMITMENT is a hilarious read. Many funny moments as well as emotional ones. The love scenes are hot and storyline is so relatable. Very well written. Highly recommended
