To tell a good tale.

It’s a simple and valid answer when the question pops up, “Why do you write?”

At the end of the day, it is to tell a good tale.

Vince Milam has lived all over the world, traipsing through the Amazon, Congo, and Papua New Guinea—all the while demonstrating bourbon has medicinal qualities. Raised in Texas, he lives in the mountainous West where he proves—annually—that God doesn’t want us driving on snow. He relishes great reads, fine trout streams, family, old friends, and—especially—writing fast-paced thrillers that keep you up at night.

THE VERY BEST OF A GREAT SERIES!

Fortunately for you (reader of my review) you most likely have not begin this series. That means you now have hours of unbelievable entertainment in front of you via this outstanding series from Vince Milam.

I am a fan of Clancy, Thor, Flynn, Greany and almost any respectable thriller writer. This series is right up there with all of those authors thriller series. No joke. Do yourself a favor and pick up the first book in the series. You might as well purchase this one while you are at it because you'll be back here soon enough when you have finished devouring the rest of the books. This particular book was my favorite, a fantastic work. Ex-Delta Force brothers coming together to tackle a problem left over from their active SMU days. Simply awesome book.

Please note, I do not know the author, I did not get anything in return for this review.. my only compensation is the hope that you believe me and you too get the joy of reading this outstanding series!

Tops

One of the best series in the genre. Way better than Reacher. Much more realistic and humanistic. The characters are interesting and down to earth. All thumbs up. Bravo!

A new sizzling Case Lee adventure

Idaho author Vince Milam retains as much mystery about his background as he imbues in his supernatural mystery thrillers. From his resume, only the following offers a few facts: ` I live in the Intermountain West where soaring mountains and vast high deserts give a person plenty of room to think. I've lived and worked in over twenty-five countries around the globe, am a certified Wellness Coach, have a coterie of dear friends and family that provide succor and support, and have an old dog that is also a best buddy. I have an affinity for characters of all stripes, and strive to bring out the uniqueness of my literary protagonists.' And now he adds, “Hawaii’s Big Island has always fascinated me, with amazing landscapes and an active volcano. What a great background for an adventure. And the vastness of the Sahara – empty, windswept, daunting – creates a sense of geographic and cultural isolation.”

And so in Book 5 THE HAWAII JOB that before posed question - `can a man so positive in this manner of approaching life grasp the darkness of evil?' - and the answer, fortunately for his readers, is an `absolutely Yes'. Vince ‘s manner of conducting a suspense filled thriller with overtones of Spirituality is refreshing to say the least. His language grows more eloquent with each new book and his ability to retain memories of the early books of the series enhances this story – but the book is quite easily a stand alone novel, so well crafted has Vince made the plot.

Vince submits the following summary: ‘They targeted his family. And increased the bounty on his head. There's only one way to end it. Call on his ex-Delta teammates. And head into the abyss. When Case Lee is contracted to investigate a mysterious company and its secretive billionaire CEO in Hawaii, things quickly go sideways. The CEO, through unknown backchannels, unleashes contract killers to eliminate a problem. A problem called Case Lee. Case's family is in the crosshairs. He calls on his former Delta teammates to lend a hand. In the course of protecting his family, one of the killers reveals the source of the bounty. A bounty that has dangled over the heads of Case and his three teammates for years. There’s only one way to end it. Saddle up, travel to the desolate enclaves of the Sahara, and take out the bounty’s source. Meanwhile, the clandestine world works in the shadows. Do they help or hinder? The answer is unclear. The four former special operators are no longer young, but as a team they bring special skills to the table. Very special skills. From Hawaii to Africa and back again, it’s a wild roller-coaster ride with no quarter asked. Or given.’

One of the many aspects that make Vince such a successful novelist is his spectrum of characters he deftly creates – ‘The entire bloody mess started with a phone call. It ended with ugliness and redemption and relief…Man, this guy was a delight A MOTU. Master Of The Universe. Elliot Krupp, founder and CEO of Alaton and one of the world’s weathiest prople. Perhaps THE wealthiest…’
Vince Milam is now recognized as one of the major writers of suspense novels writing today. Polished to a fare-thee-well, this novel is his best yet.

Milam just gets better and better

I'm noticing that each book is better than the last. Milam is now officially one of my favorite authors. Top 5. Case Lee's adventures are pure escapism. Realistic escapism. It feels like Milam was a Delta soldier writing from experience. The supporting characters are all unique and interesting. Bo, Catch, Marcus, Jules and his family. Even the new characters. Fun and interesting dialogue all around. Good characters put in impossible situations. Loved it. More please.

Have now completed all the Case Lee series........they are excellent and hold my attention (Which is no mean feat)......if a book doesn’t grab me reasonably quickly I’m not one to preserve.....probably to my loss sometimes, granted.

All I can say is that from book 1 I was hooked smashed through all five within 10 days...love the characters, plots. As I read it plays like movie in my mind, that is the true test of a good book for me.....

Looking forward to the next instalment.....

Many thanks Vince Milam for crafting a great series👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Case Lee goes to Hawaii for a simple job to learn about a new business and things go very badly. Case has a bit of a temper and it gets away from him, with serious consequences. And maybe a love interest?

This entry follows the previous books' usual pattern of an introductory job, complications the require pulling in members of his former Delta Force team, and building violence and tension. This time the whole team is together on what is probably their last mission.

The dialog is a bit odd like all of these books. Nobody actually talks like this, with only Case Lee having a standard and ordinary dialog but it has a sort of poetry that is interesting and diverting. The age of the guys involved in this is brought up quite a bit. Its not clear how old they are, but it feels 40s, which isn't old but is getting up there for action types.

Phenomenal

There aren’t enough words to describe the amazing talents of Vince Milam. I have never read books more engaging. He places you so deep in the field with Case Lee with painstaking details and descriptions of the places and people all over the world. Clearly sharing with us all the author’s experiences in those same places. Thank you Mr. Milam. You filled the past week with the best books I have ever read. I read nearly non stop, barely taking breaks to eat and sleep. I read voraciously and I will go on record that Case, Bo (!), Catch and Marcus will never leave my mind. And if Jules is a real person the author has encountered somewhere in his life, he is truly blessed.

Bring us more Case Lee and cast dear sir. I wait anxiously for the next adventure.

Review of The Hawaii Job

The Hawaii Job had a very interesting storyline, invoking A Tech Billionaire , China s Intelligence Agency and of course the CIA. The author makes you feel like you're in Hawaii, vivid descriptions about the landscape, the food and the rhythm of the island. Case was hired to investigate the biggest most powerful Tech Company in the world, what he finds shocks him. This company has the ability to control Millions of lives, by spying on their Social Media Accounts, their Banking information and the Chinese Government is very interested in gaining control of it. Case Lee has a bad encounter with the founder of the company and his life is in danger. Very interesting storyline and very good ending.

There are jerks and then there is Eliott Krupp. CEO of a rather secret electronics organisation situated in Hawaii, there is the obvious trappings of wealth that obviously holds the man in thrall. Then there is the inherent character of this man that simply regard killing a man and his family because he feels like it as his inherent right.
That is what he intended with Case Lee. Except there is a lot more to Case than he will ever know, his genius notwithstanding.
As a certain female PI is also discovering upon meeting Case.
The Hawaii Job relentlessly keeps on building suspense based on these base human feelings, building it once more into a mounting war that promises to end up once again in major bloodshed being spilled.

Case Lee is basically a contract-for-hire. He goes to Hawaii to investigate a company called Alaton, which is the kind of job he usually doesn’t do. When he meets with Elliott Krupp, the head of the company, immediately words are exchanged, sparks fly and threats are issued. When a ten million dollar bounty is placed on Case’s head, he calls in his ex-Delta Force “blood brothers” to end the bounty once and for all. There’s so much going on in this book—I could not stop reading. I was totally caught up in the characters and the storyline. For me this is one of the best books I have read—I kept thinking about it long after I finished it. I easily give this book 5+ stars.

Fun read! I recommend it.

Case Lee is a perfectly rambunctious and reluctant hero for Mr Milan's stories ! You just can't help rooting for him. He gets into some exciting and bloody messes, but in the end, he cleans up and comes out a winner! I really enjoyed this book; I just couldn't put it down. It's a little bloody for my usual taste, but somehow that just didn't matter. All of the characters are so much fun. I recommend that you read all of these books. I did! I also recommend reading them in order.

Another Exciting Case Lee Tyriller

Case finally faces the people who placed a million dollar bounty on his and his former Special Ops teammates' heads - after learning that it's been upped by a factor of five and the bad guys are after his mom and sister in an attempt to flush him out into the open.
The story is both exciting and tender in places. The choppy writing style fits Case. I'm looking forward to his next adventure. Well done, Mr Milam.

Excellent Series!

I read all five books in this Case Lee series within two weeks. I thoroughly enjoyed them. They have the action and thrills of a Vince Flynn or Brad Thor book, but the main character is more realistic. I like the way the author got into the feelings and emotions of the characters, and made them seem like normal folks. Excellent! I hope Vince Milam keeps writing!

Entertaining Read

Like chocolate chip cookies and milk these books go down easy that are fun to read. There’s enough tension in the storyline to keep you turning the pages, the characters are great and well developed. And I really enjoy the dialogue. I’ve read most if not all the books in the series and plan to continue until I’m done. If you’re looking for a fun challenging read this is it.

Case lives with great friends who come when he calls them.

In this wild adventure the have visited a former combat zone where the US sent them to calm a wild bunch. They did that admirably and in spades. They exited the mission intact. This time wild remnants of the same bad boys got their scent, and removal of the entire group needed dealt with. Bravo Zulu! Mission accomplished once more.

This is must read stuff

Vince Milam is as good as Lee Child, Baldacci, Michael Connelly, the guys of this genre. Start with his first Case Lee book and I guarantee you’ll read them all, and wait expectantly on the next release! I sure do. You will love his characters and his descriptions of places and scenery are vivid. Love these books!

If you aren't a Case Lee fan yet, you will be after reading Vince Milam's latest thriller, The Hawaii Job. Milam's characters become stronger and more defined with each installment. In this latest tale of Case Lee and his ex-Delta Force buddies, the bad guys are out to rule the world and make the mistake of threatening Case's family. Big mistake. High body count. Moral of the story: don't mess with Case, Marcus, Bo, or Catch, unless you want to be part of the count. Enjoy The Hawaii Job. It's a great read and proves, once again, that Vince Milam can spin a tale as well as any one out there.

Case Lee Five

This series by Vince Milam just keeps getting better. This time Case draws the wrath of a multi- billionaire who manages to increase the bounty on his head to 10 million dollars. Case recruits his ex Delta Force teammates to see if they can protect his family and discover who wants them all terminated. Lots of action ensues. Highly recommended.

Well done!

I read all five books in less than a week. Anyone of the books could be a stand alone, but why do that when one can binge through all five! Case is a great character, and I enjoy all the quirks of his friends. I Look forward to more. If you are into suspense and adventure with a true bad ass who still has plenty of humanity you must read this series.

Great Series!

Very impressed with this author Character development is excellent. You feel like you know these Delta team members personally when you finish the series. Nothing cookie cutter about Vince Milam's style. Tells the story well and holds your attention all the way. Hope there are more Case Lee adventures in the future.

I have read the first five books in this series. Milam has a somewhat unconventional writing style that I love! He is obviously quite intelligent and creative. His vocabulary is above average and his storyline skills exceptional. It has been hard to rate one book over the other because they are all so good. The Hawaii Job is a great read! A must read.

Absolutely excellent!

I have read all of your books and they just keep getting better but the Hawaii Job was certainly the best. I was so worried someone of th3 team would die! They just have to make a movie out of your books, it just stand ps to reason. Take jack reacher, Rambo etc and now case! Great job, can’t wait for more!, GMZ

It keeps getting better and better

Each novel picks up the pace a bit more. This one brings the gang back together again into a formidable force to be reckoned with. His life aboard the ace of spades brings back fond memories of my sailing in S.F. Bay. Jealous? Perhaps a bit. I truly miss it.

This series rocks

Amazon should produce a video series of the Case Lee novels. Each could be a 90 minute movie with a plot that would keep viewers riveted, while humor from the dialogue of these warriors, their families and friends would soften the story and add fun. Imagine the scenes with Jules and Case: priceless!

Even better…than the last one. Fantastic writing, I could feel the heat, smell the dust. For a little while I was deep in Africa right alongside Case, negotiating for weapons with a local wheeler dealer, feeling disappointment at the tiny Jeep, tension over the upcoming firefight. All in the company of my best friends ever…love those guys. Such a great story!

Highly entertaining, compelling writing style

The author employs a style that compels you to become one with the story. With details just enough to entertain thought, but not overwhelm, you ponder that "what iff's" as if you were there. Although another ex special ops action type book it tells a mostly believable tale filled with action without sundry romance.

Enjoyed this read

I did enjoy this Case Lee adventure. Some in this series have much repetitive information on his buddies and about previous missions. This book touches on same but not drawn out. Good action, well put together and a good close. I've read most of the Case Lee books, looking forward to the next.
