Long before Catherine was great, Elizabeth was destined to rule the Romanov empire…

The last true Romanov, Elizabeth has once again been denied the throne of Russia. Grieving and isolated, she struggles to protect the few loved ones she has left. But when Empress Anna’s health begins to fail, Elisabeth’s very existence becomes a threat to Anna’s plans to place her chosen heir, the infant Ivan, on the throne.

Knowing only one of them will survive, Elizabeth enters into a dangerous alliance with Anna’s former lover in the hopes of not only returning the crown to its rightful line, but also rescuing her nearly bankrupt nation from the hands of an enemy king determined to bring the country under his rule.

Desperate and willing to sacrifice anything—and anyone—to her gambit, Elizabeth must make her final choice between the destiny that was promised to her and the one man she might truly love.

Long live the queen!

Wow, what a way to end a series. What would you give to take back what is rightfully yours and at what cost? Well, to truly know everything that happens to Elizabeth, you will need to go and purchase your copy today!!

The characters were amazing. I still am a loyal fan to Elizabeth, but this character has been through it all and has made me feel for her. There is a connection there that I have made with Elizabeth for sure.

The storyline was captivating. I was completely enchanted by this story. Ficklin has done it again!! She has written another story that demands attention and boy did it ever get my attention. I couldn't put the book down and I found myself getting angry and shouting comments out loud this the characters, whether good or bad. My voice was heard by my boyfriend and my cat. LOL I am very sad this series is ending but it's still one of my favorites and I highly recommend it. LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!!

My goodness! This one covered so much information. I loved learning about Elizabeth's rise to Empress. It makes much more sense now how she became the woman we see at odds with Sophie in the first 3 books.

Oh my — What to say. The last book in this series. Ties up loose ends. True to Ms. Ficklin’s style, plenty of surprises. A royal tribute to the “last of the Romanovs”.

It's time. Elizabeth must have her throne. To rule the empire that is rightfully hers.

Things are all going according to plan. Elizabeth is doing what she needs to and Anna doesn't expect anything. But when an assassination attempt goes wrong, everything will change. Elizabeth and Sergi continue to fight with Elizabeth more determined now than ever.

When a head showed up at her door and an unexpected visit from Anna, things are about to speed up. Anna has declared another to be the heir after her. She has taken ill...

As the end nears things pick up and you'll be left on the edge of your seat. Elizabeth must make a huge sacrifice. She must let go of the one she loves, for anyone who she loves has a terrible fate. Both hearts broken, but they will remain close and work together always.

In the end Elizabeth finally gets what is rightfully hers. The story has now come full circle and I absolutely have loved every single book in this series and Sherry's writing. This is a series worth reading, along with Sherry's other books.

This is a bittersweet moment...the end of a series...one of my favorite series at that...Author Sherry Ficklin has once again written an amazing book about Elizabeth, Anne and Ivan...she ends this series with a BANG!

The plot continues to amaze readers, it is a roller coaster ride of emotions, it is fraught with twists, turns, loops and curves and just when the reader thinks that they have it figured out, BAM....This book will leave the reader with not just a book hangover, but a series hangover.

The series is one that the reader can and will re-read and still a few reads later find that they missed something...each read is a new adventure! The author out does herself with this one and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next! A must read and a must read NOW!!

This is the final tribute to the “last of the Romanovs”. Anna as a Queen is truly terrifying and it is painted in perfect gruesome detail in this novel. This story being the last in this series really brought out all the feels, my heart hurt for Sergei as Elizabeth once again has to crush his heart into a million pieces and i was truly hoping for a happy ending for them. The amount of emotion that pours from the pages about a Queen that truly has been put through the wringer really gets to you as read this final novel. This is a must read series if your a fan of historical fiction.
