This book quickly grabbed my attention and kept me turning the pages. I enjoyed following along as Eiléen discovered what happened when her husband left all those years ago. I’m looking forward to reading what happens next.
A great addition to the story line. I finally get to know what happened Eileen's husband Nate. Even what transpired all those years ago too to make it happen. Loved the all the characters especially Eileen. She finally gets her happy ending that is well deserved and her best friend is back as well. All your favorite witches are The story starts out a little slow, but gets right into it so fast you don't want to put the book down at all. I was mad at myself for having to put it down for the night. After all these years of Eileen running a household by herself. She will get the shock of her life when she opens the door and finds her best friend Sally at the door. Who she thought ran off with her husband twenty years ago.
Witch Discovered is book four in the Witches of Night Meadow series by V. Vaughn. It’s about family values, trust, and deep love.
Eileen Knight is the mother of four adult women. 20-years-ago her husband left never to return. She’s not dated in all that time, but now she’s ready to take the plunge.
We finally get to find out what happened and transpired all those years ago. We get a return visit from the past, an empty nest, and romance. It’s got a pinch of magic and a bit of mystery. The romance focuses on a couple in their early 50’s. The chemistry is good. No steam. It’s tame.
Witch Discovered was a sweet tame romance. It's an ok read for a lazy Sunday afternoon read.
Very touching book, this book is about trust, deep love and family values and just like her daughter's a mother with the strength to fight for love. I started to read and didn't want to put this book down, the story line and characters were very interesting, funny and teaches to have faith in all we set out to do. Witch Discovered did not disappoint my love of Night Meadow series can't wait to read the next book, great read.
Entertaining and interesting story with a bit of magic. Eileen is a mom and a witch; the previous books in this series are about 3 of her 4 daughters. It’s nice to be getting the mom’s story! 22 years ago, her husband that she was having some marital problems with, went missing and shortly after her best friend also went missing, so Eileen has needed to raise her daughters on her own and deal with the gossip that her husband and friend ran off together. Eileen hasn’t moved on from her husband, and it’s looking like she never will. She’s in for quite the surprise, when some new information comes to light.
Love the magical elements and the bond between the girls and their mom. The whole idea surrounding the mystery of her missing husband was a cool idea. I liked how the story evolved. This wasn’t a typical romance that I read; the leads are in their early 50’s, but I still enjoyed it. Nate was a bit of a baby at times; he needed his ego stroked, so I liked him, but he wasn’t ideal for me. Nate and Eileen were both a bit overly sensitive and quick to be annoyed with each other; they have a lot of things to work out between them, but they do have good chemistry. There wasn’t any steam in this read, so I did miss out a bit on that. Also, the ending felt rushed to me and an epilogue would’ve been nice, but I still went with a 5 rating because I really enjoyed the story as a whole.
I love it! Imagine the shock Eileen got when she is about to go on her first date in twenty years & the friend, Sally, she thought ran off with her husband turns up & tells her not to go. She finds out he has been caught in a spell that they didn't finish right. A time lock for the last twenty years. They had tried everything to locate him but hadn't been able to do it. 6 months after he disappeared Sally figured out what happened & went to go get him. She figured it would be fairly easy to go get him, break the spell & bring him home. Somehow she managed to get stuck in the time lock as well. The spell that started it all was to figure out what the problem was with their marriage. It had been thought nick should take a hike & figure out what he wanted so Eileen could try to give it to him to smooth things over. Something about her deciding it was time to let go & move on, agreeing to this date with her publisher seemed to have broken part of the spell. It was what allowed Sally to be able to leave the hike trail she & Nick had been on. Eileen & her daughters go over to the inn where he is staying for now. They are all a little unsure what to say. Eileen tells him they will find a way to break the spell & get him home. After a late night of talking they go home. Eileen & Bri decide to make scrapbooks for him with family photos so he can sort of get a feeling of what has gone on with their lives. All the girls agree & get to work on them. Eileen takes her's and a few magic books so he can get an idea of what they are working with. She gets him some equipment as well, so he can start working on his photography again. She gets him an iphone & a laptop. She brings him his favorite foods when she visits. She learns about how he felt left out when she & all the girls started talking about magic all the time since he didn't have any. It seemed like he wasn't needed since they could do anything without his help. The girls bring their scrapbooks for him to see. As time goes on, it seems like there isn't going to be a way out. He is getting more frustrated, he finally just says a divorce may be the only way. Eileen loves him & doesn't want to lose him again, but she had said she would do what he wanted. So she says she will take care of it. Nick decides to hike farther up the trail, Sally tells Eileen to go with him. She buys the equipment, but leaves out a lot of things because it is too heavy. She is not as in shape as Nick is. The next day she meets him on the trail ready to go, he doesn't think she will stay long. She manages to stick with him although she is behind a ways. She isn't using any magic to help her as she said she wouldn't. They go as far as they can when it gets to where it looks like rain. They find a good spot to make camp. She lets him help her, she had left some of her rain equipment home. When morning comes something feels different. Nick pushes on the border & it is flexible. The spell seems to be weakening. Eileen asks if he wants her to try to do a spell that will break it. He agrees. They go to the trail store fore some salt & candles & find a remote spot to do the spell. She sets it up, tells his the words, then they light the candles & recite the incantation together. It is finally broken. Nick can leave the trail & will be able to walk his daughters down the aisle when their weddings come up in a few weeks. He & Eileen see how much they really love each other & decide to stay together. I love it!
Eileen is a Knight Witch and she has been raising her daughters on Night Island since before her husband left her and the girls she realized that they had marital problems but she never thought he would run away. She and her four girls have made a life for themselves never once stop trying her husband and their father and now three of the four are engaged to be married in the summer. And life is going pretty well and she decided to make some decisions about her life but she had no intention of marrying anyone else she still was in love with her husband and she finally but she was going out with a friend on a date tonight and he would be arriving soon when the doorbell rang she went to open the door for him since he was early. She was shocked because it certainly was not who she thought it would be, life is about to change drastically for Eileen and she will have to make a very big decision. Now, this is a tale that is going to have you thinking about not doing something wishful while drinking, as well as some suspense, romance, love, and laughter. Great storyline, characters are very entertaining. I was given an ARC from Bookfunnel without obligations. I am providing an honest review.
“Witch Discovered” is a whirlwind of emotions with magical issues, trust issues, fabulous character interaction, moments that tug your heartstrings, family love, fabulous vivid scene descriptions, and a happy forever.
Nate, a regular guy, married Eileen, a powerful witch. He left his home two decades ago to go hiking. Eileen tried magic to locate him for years without success. Concluding her husband cast her and her daughters aside, she plans to go on a date. The date never happens because a friend from the past comes to Eileen with flabbergasting news that brings her to tears.
Memorable well-written read with a unique story-line that keeps you turning pages to learn how the happy forever comes to be. The author does a fabulous job blending fantasy and reality. Back stories give the reader insight into the character’s personas. The author shows that communication and trust are pivotal in lasting relationships. Loving this story, I voluntarily reviewed a pre-release copy via the author.
Marriage limbo. That's what life has been for Eileen for the past two decades. She'd decided to do something to wake-up her marriage. She didn't plan for it to make her husband just leave with no message no contact. She'd taken charge of her life as a single mother of four and made a life for her family. The time had come, with her youngest the only one still at home, for her to try dating.
Just as she takes the plunge something life-changing happens. What will it mean for her family and her decision to try dating again?
Her witch friends and daughters work with her. Will they help or hinder?
A good character study with some characters we know and love and new additions.
This is the fourth book in Witches of Night Meadow series. This one Issa little different from the other three because its more of a second chance romance. Eileen is a witch and one night she and her best friend was having a drink when Eileen wish for her husband Nate to take a hike and that is where this book really takes off. Nate has been missing for over 20 years and also Eileen best friend Just as Eileen was going out a a date her friend showed up and told her that Nate was court in a time lock and has been for the time he has been missing. Will they be able to reconnect or will the hurt destroy there marriage. To find out you will have to read it for yourself. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
A second chance magical romance. Eileen is a witch from a family of witches. She is married with four beautiful daughters. But one day her husband disappears and soon after so does her best friend. For twenty years no one knew what happened to them. But she may finally have a chance to find romance again. But will it be a new man or the man she has lost but always loved? She will have to look deep into herself in this story. It will bring tears but with the love of her family and friends she may just find love again.
This book is probably my favorite in the series! Why? Because this is really a second chance romance for Eileen, the mother to the three others Knight women we have read so far. The kicker? This is a second chance with her husband who has been missing for over 20 years. There are so many ups and downs in this book. I was wide awake wondering what would happen, or not happen, next. Be prepared to get hooked.
I have read the whole series and enjoyed it. Now the mom and dad, get to tell their story. This one feels very different than the rest of the stories as it involves a lot of focus on their internal battle and relationship. They have a lot of years of pain to get through.
It is a very well written story and I enjoyed this change of pace from the others and watching them find their way back after fate had challenged them so much.
Awesome book in the Witches of Night Meadows series. This book answers the mystery of Eileen's husband, Nate. This book kept me up late, I just couldn't put it down and had to finish it. All the books in the series are so relatable and the characters are very well developed. I was given an ARC and am voluntarily reviewing it.
Marriage is hard work and isn’t always smiles and joy. What happens when your spouse disappears with no explanation, only to resurface decades later? This book explores a couples journey in finding their way back to each other, or at least make enough repairs so that their future looks more positive. Loving this tale! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
Hey, Eileen: It's Mom's Turn! It's been over twenty years since her husband "disappeared;" Eileen's finally going on her first date. This is when the story transposes into enduring bewitchment! Enchanting romance, showing the troubles we mortals get ourselves into. Enjoyed the way the problems were laid out and resolved. Good read. 3 1/2 stars.
this was enjoyable... made me curious what was going to happen and then kept me interested while it was happening.. as always this authors writing is amazing.. it was a fun read and i liked it a lot.
I enjoyed reading this book, it has a good storyline. This book is entertaining, filled with action, adventure, and intrigue. The chemistry and interaction between the characters is great. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Eileen is finally able to date. Just as she’s ready to she finds the last person she expected at her door. Her best friend the one that disappeared years ago! Which unravels a story neither ever expected to find.
This is the fourth book in the Witches of Night Meadow series and we follow along as Eileen discovers what happened when her husband left all those years ago. It goes to show what happens when you do not stay focused on what you are working on when focus is truly needed.
Eileen knight mum to four daughters who’s husband disappeared 20 odd years ago. Finally deciding to go on a date her best friend shows up. Read her trials in finding her husband
Awesome storyline , a second chance at making things right. Aweso e characters and drama too. This series can be for young adults as there are no sexy scenes in it, but oh the love that shines thru and the lessons to be learned are there.
What an amazing tale. It was great to bring it full circle in the series...answers are finally answered into a mystery we’ve faced since book one.
The romance and challenges facing this couple is a great one, and some are challenges many of us face in long relationships and as older adults too.
Overall I loved the magic, the mystery of a curse but a love of a couple facing a restart.
Recommended hands down for any fan of the series, paranormal romance readers or anyone who likes seeing an older but not old adult get a chance at a real happily ever after.
