To know me is to love me. My identity begins with my name but makes a statement with my pen. I'm a mother of two and a wife of one. My love for writing began at the age of two. That's right I first wrote my name at the age of two and I've been writing ever since. Growing up I always felt invisible. I suffered from that 'Middle Child Syndrome', so when my voice wasn't heard, I made my own story. My journal and my pen became my companion. I would write stories where my characters looked like me (thick, tall, and pretty), they loved to read, was educated, and realistic. The older I got the more my imagination grew, which caused my stories to be more diverse. Becoming an author came about in an unintentional way. I've been through many things in my adult life. My husband, who's my backbone, has always admired my strength. We suffered a devastating loss, our daughter. My husband urged me to tell my story, to be a light for someone else. I took him up on his advice and wrote my pains and truths. I love weaving stories, touching readers with relatable characters and situations. I give life lessons, unconditional love, dedication, a little crazy, and a whole lot of truth. I have a saying that I live by; 'I don't just write books;I tell stories'.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved Jacob and Lia together they were meant for each other. Jermany was so sweet and I’m glad she got great parents after all..I hated Brock family, Camille and Mitch. Glad they all got what they deserved. I highly recommend this great standalone...
I tried, I tried...but this was absolutely boring and so lame!!!
After reading Kemba and Brock and realized that this was Lia's story, I thought hey, we got ourselves another cute, wonderful story and wished it better than Kemba's...but oof chile was I wrong, and so wrong... This was so boring, so lame p, so blah that I couldn't finish it any faster. Lia in Kemba's story was so good and so feisty and so independent that I truly thought I was going to get a story made of fiestyness, independent streak, a woman on a mission who speaks her mind and inset afraid of anything, but nopes that's not what we got. We got a wholesome, full figure (it seems) woman, on the heavy sides it seems, who is so meek, so timid, so helpless so low self esteem and so not befitting any of MS. Sumter's heroine. This was so not what I wanted.... Jacob, well I don't even know what to say, except that I want Brock all day and everyday, because THAT is not a man worthy to be the hero in a MS. Sumter story... He was lame, too sweet, too nice, too wholesome, too church like boy, to meek. His father had more swag than him on a 100% level. Now I couldn't even comprehend fully this story because there as nothing extraordinary about their loves except that they met and they love. Period. Now if there will be another tattooed series, I truly hope this will be better because baby, you lost this somewhere... But no worries, I will still be front and center whenever another of your books dropped MS. Sumter...
It's one thing when you have to inspire, motivate and encourage yourself, but it's amazing when a real man expresses those same feelings and so much more towards you, that sometimes it's hard for you to except them because of insecurities you've endured. I'm just happy that Lia received what most women want and that's unconditional love, especially when the love comes from the mind, body and soul of a compatible significant other. Great read from beginning to end. ReneeG 👍
This book was so damn good. First I just want to say that I love the fact that Kendra’s male characters are real men that love and cherish their woman. Not the usual ninja that cheats and beats and then has an epiphany that he has a good woman and will treat her right. Lia pissed me smooth off for a brief minute. Jacob was bae all day. Camille needed her edges uprooted for her scalp trifling heffa.
This book was everything I knew it was going to be!! I love seeing an update from Brock and Kemba.. Camille was a piece of work and her ex was mad and jealous and what she went through I was sad!! I was ready to fight Lia for what she put Jacob through but she was fighting her demons but he put a stop on that!! And ladybug she was adorable and what she had to endure was sad!! But I’m happy she got what she needed!! Read it you want be disappointed
This book was good from beginning to end. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters. I really loved Cupcake, and hated everything she endured in her young life. I really liked Jake and LadyBug and I'm so glad he didn't give up on her. Their love was meant to be. So glad that Camille and Mitch got exactly what they deserved. Really glad that everyone got their happy ending. Good job Kendra Sumter.
This was an awesome love story! Yesss Lia's life was very unfair and I felt her pain. Now once she started talking to herself I thought she was a little crazy but then I'm like if not nobody else you are your on Cheerleader!! I'm glad that Jacob didn't give up on her and their love flourished!! Amazing love story Mrs. Sumter
Mitch and Camille definitely deserved each other, I thought fisher that Brock’s parents would of learned their lesson. Lia definitely had a lot of self doubt but I’m glad that Kemba never sugar coated anything with her. Jacob took Love is patient to a whole other level...
As always Kendra you did an awesome job. The way Jacob loved Lia is the kind of love every woman dreams of. I'm so glad that Camille and Mitch got what their bitter azz deserves. Nothing but happiness for Jacob and Lia from here on out. Awesome job! Keep up the great work .
Addictive and Good Lia and jake had bad relationships but they formed a friendship and from that friendship they feel in love both was hurting and they broke down each other’s wall the ladybug and cupcake the characters we’re awesome all but Mitch and her mom
This book was amazing. I love that it wasn't rushed and took its time to explain the plot and characters without being cluttered. I appreciate reading books that don't circle around the "skinny model" types. Books that remind us that all women are beautiful no matter the size warns my heart. Thank you for this amazing read.
I don't know if it is because I am use to Ms Kendra hardcore writing and stories but I was bored actually. I think she overuse the phrase ,'tattoo on my soul ' in this read. I was not feeling this one at all.
Once we asked and she delivered this story was link to self love growth and letting go of the pain that past relationships have put u thru I enjoyed it job well done ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I loved this book, just like the others I’ve read. I like the professional feel with a little hood that you mix in, in all of your books. It’s a bonus to the storyline. You are definitely helping put SC on the map. Keep the 🔥coming!!!
It's very rare to find your true love or soulmate. Most times when a person is hurt to their core it's hard to let anyone in. This book was amazing. Keep up the good work
The book was actually pretty good. I would have given it a 5, but the errors bothered me. It seems spell check changed a few words. So I had to reread lines to make sense of them.
