I live in Cheshire with my husband, two dogs and mum in law and write romantic humour and contemporary romance. My first two books, Guess Who I Pulled Last Night? and No Bra Required both stayed at number 1 on the Amazon Humour list for 3 & 4 weeks respectively. My ambitions of becoming a writer started at the age of 10 when I started writing poetry at school, and was given the honour of reading one out to the rest of my year group (an horrific experience that I will never forget). Thankfully I have a wide variety of strange and wonderful people in my life, otherwise I'd be stuck on what to write about! I am currently talking to family and friends, finding out their innermost secrets in readiness for my next book.

My books are romances that come with a little more than vanilla sexy times, sometimes a few tears, lots of hot men and feisty women, but ultimately they'll make you smile.

Book #1 was so amazing and I loved it and it finished on a major cliffhanger which I had to read that last page twice as OMG it was one of the best cliffhangers that I had read. So of course, I had big expectations with Book #2 Love Struck. Unfortunately, though as someone who is a big reader - that is something that we readers should never do is enter a book with high expectations as you will always feel a bit let down. Love Struck begins with the cliffhanger moment of Adam's father turning up and it turns out to be also Sarah's ex-Art teacher. Adam is now torn as he loves Sarah and doesn't want to end his relationship with her but he also wants to reconnect with his father as he hasn't seen him since he was five years old. I have to admit this book focuses on a lot of back and forth between Adam and Sarah's emotions between them and whether they should continue dating or not. I'm not a huge fan of playing games so this part frustrated me as it was very repetitive and angsty. Like I understand why Sarah is upset but seriously it's not Adam's fault of who his Dad is and again - HELLO, he hasn't seen him since he was five years old. If you love bully romances and you read Book #1 then definitely read Book #2 as it does complete the duet and I did love the epilogue which is set thirteen years later as the epilogue rounds the duet off perfectly.

I couldn’t believe the ending to the first part so the wait for the second felt like an eternity but it was so worth the wait.

My heart broke for Adam and Sarah, they have been thru so much in their lives and now they have to go thru this.... well at least they have each other....... or will the past ruin their relationship.

Adam finally gets what he always wanted his dad back but once he learns the truth about what really happened is he going to be able to forget about that so he can have a relationship with Sarah.

Sarah has been to hell and back and now she is dealing with it all over again the person who ruined her life is back and she doesn’t know how to deal with that but worse he is someone significant to someone she loves and she is struggling to find a way to deal with that.

Will the love these two have for each other over come their pasts?? You must read to find out... and trust me you want to read this series.

After all that had transpired between Sarah and Adam in Hate Struck you were beginning to wonder if they would ever find their way to each other but they were able to persevere and their relationship has never been stronger until a person from both their pasts comes into their present and brings havoc and chaos with them.

Adam is conflicted between this person and Sarah as their relationship is pushed to the breaking point. Once all the truths and twists are revealed will they still be together?

Full of emotion Sarah’s strength and resilience shines through as she faces her past.

The second book in the Maddison High bully romance series. This is the continuing story of the Sarah, who is dealing with her traumatic past and her bully boy boyfriend (from ‘Hate Struck’) Adam.

I was in two minds on whether to read this book as I was slightly disappointed with the first. But, I was curious to see where Nikki would take the story after the bombshell dropped at the end of the first book.

Well...to say I’m disappointed is an understatement.
The main plot was more of the back-and-forth bickering between Sarah and Adam as they deal with the reappearance of Adam’s nefarious father and his past.
It also revolves around the strain this situation was placing on Sarah and Adam relationship, and also, the added strain S & A’s relationship was placing on his friends.Ellis, Kirk, and Tyler.
There was also a hefty dose of sexual encounters between the two (the plot set ups for these encounters took up quite a big chunk of the story, AND you could smell them coming a mile off)
I was annoyed that Nikki introduced the character of Jack, from the therapy group, who seemed to have an interesting backstory (and was a nice guy) solely for the purpose of making Adam jealous, so he could f#$k Sarah in the Pub hallway, and be a complete a#$hole by going all caveman in front of her and his friends.
And, Sarah’s meekness in this moment irritated the s#$t out of me.

I thought Sarah and Jacks relationship could have been pushed a little more, so she wasn’t so reliant and needy for Adam (and boy! Was she NEEDY for Adam)...I liked Jack.
Overall, Sarah and Adam began to get on my nerves by the end of this bookend I started to not like them very much..
Their co-dependance was so sickening. Sarah can’t claim to be strong (at times) one minute, then, reaching for her phone to call Adam the next.
And seriously, as if she didn’t know that EVERY. TIME. she went to his house (to apologise, or ‘see how he was doing’, or ‘to talk’) they wouldn’t end up screwing! ....This girl never heard of just texting!!!
Yep, towards the end I kinda gave up. I knew I wasn’t going to get a shocker ending (that ending wasn’t a ‘shocker’ it was practically telegraphed) that I was hoping for....
Although.... I did sneak a look at the ‘13 years late’ epilogue and just about threw up in my mouth...Aargh! Cue the rainbows & unicorns HEA...
I’m going off to read a really, really DARK bully romance now. This one was a little light and at times cheesy for my taste...three stars

5 stars are not enough for this book, WOW what an emotional roller coaster! after Hate Struck left us on a cliff hanger I couldn't wait for this book and wasn't disappointed it was even better.

When two broken souls collide the love shines through and this was Adam and Sarah, they were both broken but together they were healing, that was until Him!

This book has so many emotions, Love, Hate, doubt, compassion, heartbreak and so much more, there are a few twists that I didn't see coming and usually I can, that makes the book more exciting. Once you start reading you wont put it down, it is compelling you need to know what happens next.

The characters and the storyline are so believable, the one that shone is this book was Roger, (Adam's stepdad) he was there for support all the way even if Adam took a long time to realise it.

There is so much I could say about this book but wont give any spoilers away. I really loved Adam and Sarah and their connection even when they were apart.

This duet is so different to what Nikki usually writes, it is beautifully written and shows how talented she is, well done!

The first thing I want to say is I hated giving this second book a three-star. I LOVED the first book Hate Struck so much. So I was so ready to read this one especially after the ending of the first one.

Well, that is not what I felt was happening. I had to keep reminding myself that these are high schoolers and that they have those weird emotions. I also couldn't figure out why after all these years and after everything that Adam's father has done to him why he would 1. give him another chance 2. believe him over Sarah and 3. allow that kind of drama in his life.

Sarah is a strong girl and after everything, she has gone through to try to keep working things out with Adam when he wants a relationship with the man that raped her is beyond me. I get that Adam didn't do it to her, but why put yourself in that position?

So ya there is just too much going on in this final book that I couldn't go with.

The first book ended with the most insane cliff hanger leaving you sitting here with your mouth hanging open going what in the heck just happened?!?! this book picks up exactly where the last one ended up. This book is a complete emotional roller coaster. Your heart constantly goes out to Adam and Sarah for what they are both having to go through together and separately. This book has darkness around it but it has love and humor. It makes you think about all the what if's. This book was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend every one reads it. But keep in mind this book can possible trigger someone who has possible go through the same thing as these characters did in this book. As some how has gone through something like both characters it was a struggle to read but I'm sooo grateful I pushed through and read these two books!

Adam who started to grow as a person (now 18 years old) has his biological dad back. Well, its the devil, not literally. Lots of story with the devil back in Sarah's life. She is a trooper and we love how she's navigating through very tough circumstances. I like how she's all along developed friends and outside interests. Author rounds out with rich layers of these kids discoveries. They find out who matters in their lives and the good it brings them.

I mean...when you're left with a major cliffy that has you so damn high up and wishing you could just continue on the moment you are done with book 1 you will certainly feel it was worth the wait when you start with book 2.

I loved the intrigue, lies, angst and everything this duet had to bring to us. So much happens and Adam and Sarah just can't seem to be together happily because so much is in the way of them two being a happy couple.

Sarah has gone through a lot and especially with the bullying she got in book 1, it took a toll. But now that Adam and Sarah have a chance, the question is do they really?

I was so hurt that things kept getting in the way of their happiness. I love when a book makes me feel this way because my emotions really come out no matter if the characters are fictional and if the story is fictional. But I'm sure someone out there in the real world might have gone through something similar at one point in their lives.

Nonetheless, this was a fantastic duet that totally had me hooked!

4 Stars

If you read my review of Hate Struck you will know how much I absolutely loved this book. this duet was different from Nikki's usual style of writing but in my opinion she out did herself with this one. She showcased her talent brilliantly and I can't wait to read more books like this from her in the future..... Hint hint Nikki :-)

After Nikki left us with that absolute cliffy it took me a while to recover from my jaw hitting the floor and my shouts of NNNOOOOOOO to subside. Niki soon learnt that I have not a lot of patience but she delivered and she delivered a masterpiece.

She gave us so many simply brilliant twists and turns with this one. My heart broke and stopped quite a few times as I watched Adam and Sarah try to navigate through this absolute minefield! Adam and Sarah were perfect, so raw and beautifully real.

Well done Nikki on this absolutely brilliant duet! Hate Struck and Love Struck = Absolute MUST READ

Defiantly didn’t disappoint!!!!!!!

I was soooo excited for this book after such a book cliff hanger from the first book..... and wow this was better than I thought it could be.
I loved that the author told this story in both perspectives and that we got to see Adams thought and feelings from being torn between his absent father and the girl he loves. I must admit at first u thought he was an ass and he was.... he was a bully and mean but then I realised that Adam is just as much a victim in this book as Sarah is.... he’s never dealt with the abuse he suffered and lack of a role model in his life until Sarah come along and awakens him.....
An now Sarah that poor girl has been thru so much and yet here she is standing up straight against the school bully breaking down his walls and both finding happiness together. I totally wasn’t expecting it to have so many twists and turns at the end but hey I’m not complaining!!!!
I loved this book. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Ah The other part th Hate Struck!!! This book tore at my heart so badly. But it also made me want to enter my kindle and just beat the crap out if Adam and a couple of others!! And I was so surprised at how some things come to light. Like how some people could be so callous and petty.  I mean I know that they are out there but to know that even though this is actually a work of fiction that it really could be based off of real life and that's the really really sad part of this entire story.  But the upside is that even in the worst of times that you can pull through.  You can see how strong you are. And that your life can turn out to be beautiful even if you had to suffer through some ugly.  Not to ever give up fighting.  And I love that because everyone needs to be reminded of that every once in a while.  I highly highly recommend this book!!! Although do pay attention to the trigger warnings.

LEANLO, SI😊

4,5/5✨

Nikki Ashton ended Hate Struck (Book 1) on such a cliffy, that it's seemed like it's taken FOREVER to get Love Struck, and BTW, YOU MUST READ HATE STRUCK FIRST! Adam & Sarah have been through the wringer, and yet, it's not over. OH MY HELL WHAT ELSE COULD THEY SURVIVE?! Well, turns out, a whole hell of a lot, which still has my heart racing. There are more twists & turns, so more loud f-bomb dropping from me, not to mention, more angst in spades. This is such an amazing duet which pulled every one of my buried emotions out that I'll have this book hangover for a long time. I'm hoping Ms. Ashton actually writes more of Maddison High (hint hint) in the immediate future, and you will too once you hit those one click buttons on this conclusion to Sarah & Adam's story! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

So this is book 2 in the series set in Maddison High..with book 1 leaving us on a major cliff hanger waiting to see what is going to happen with Adam and Sarah.
And this book just jumps straight back into all the drama that is now their lives! Drama so so much drama!!
Adam is majorly conflicted not sure what to do with his dad appearing back in town and trying to stay dedicated to Sarah but it all goes south when she finds out hes been into touch with him.
Love how much Adam grows through this story... he becomes a man leaving his bad boy self behind in the shadows.... Love how his relationship with Roger develops.. just love him all round really Haha
Sarah manages to stay strong throughout showing just how far shes come in life too.
Nikki Ashton yet again you've given us an amazing read that we dont want to put down!

Four Stars!

I gave this the same rating as the first one and although I will be honest and say that it doesn't take much in a story to please me into a four-star rating, this book got me. I would have even given it five stars if not for the few things that bothered me in the first book which I left in the review of that one. in this one though, I already made peace with those little things so I found that I enjoyed the book better. I do have to mention again how the beginning of the book was so insignificant and too dramatic that I forgot about it once I got to this book.

here are some honourable mentions:
- I did not smell the plot twist coming which is impressive because I do have a nose for sniffing these things out.
- I still don't understand how no one charged the dad (I forget his name) for what he did. is it different in the Uk? do people not get charged for pedophilia even though she wasn't raped, she was young!
- there is still the thing about the dramatic beginning but I know, I know, I should shut up about it already...
- Adam pissed me off for a minute there. I simply would not know how he could possibly relate with his dad after he found out what he did. the only explanation was the fact that he didn't believe Sarah. it is honestly horrible that the only time he saw that Sarah might actually be telling the truth and be in actual danger was when he found out that his dad had done it to other girls too. like please... that is just sad. if I was Sarah, that would be a big fat no from me. he would choose to believe his father that he didn't know over his own girlfriend that he supposedly loved?!

like I mentioned in the first book, if you can overlook all of these minor issues, then please go ahead and enjoy the book. I know that it didn't bother me which is why I finished the book. I know it might seem like I am complaining but I genuinely liked it. I just like to voice every single detail that stood out to me... haha :)

If you’ve read my review for Hate Struck, you will know just how much I loved the first book in this series. Would book 2 Love Struck be as good?
Nikki Ashton left us with such a Major Cliff Hanger at the end of Hate Struck, that I was a little nervous to start Love Stuck. No need to of been worried.
Love Stuck picks up right where Hate Struck finished and it carries on with the same twist and turns, ups and downs that we were used too.
It’s hard to review this book with details that don’t give a hint of spoiler, but your heart will be with Adam & Sarah all the way through.
A brilliant book by Nikki Ashton, so far from her normal genre, but it’s certainly one of her best books.
Together Hate & Love are the perfect pair , just like Adam & Sarah

Book #1 ended with one heck of a cliffhanger and I was so looking forward to read the sequel of Sarah and Adams story.

And it didn’t disappoint me, Holy Lord this book has it all, friendship, love ... so much love and suspense at its best!
I got my tummy at knots turning the pages , and when I thought that I had it all figured out and could relax my nerves ... BOOM the story turns to a whole different direction.

Sarah and Adam chemistry is off the charts, the love they share is pure and strong but sometimes that’s not enough. But as the saying goes that God gives the hardest battles to his strongest soldiers, these two are up for a difficult battle. Will love be enough?

This is my first book that I have read from Nikki Ashton and at first I didn't realize that it was book #2 in a duet so some things I didn't really understand like why Sarah's friends hated Adam so much, but I was able to follow the story anyways. What an emotional read though!! Both Adam and Sarah were thrown into an impossible situation and they could have let it destroy not only them but their relationship as well. They did have their conflicts but to see the growth that these two characters had throughout the story was absolutely amazing!!! I will definitely go and read the first book in order to get the full picture!!!

After the best cliffhanger I think I've ever read (Book one, Hate Struck), I was chomping at the bit to get my hands on Love Stuck and continue Adam and Sarah's story. It certainly didn't disappoint. Everything I hoped for and more!

The inner feelings that both Adam and Sarah portray makes addictive, roller coaster of a ride, conclusion of their story. It had all the feels and I grew to love both characters more. Again, expect nothing to be straight forward and a couple of curve balls thrown in for good measure. This has become one of my favourite duets; the characters feel so real, you mirror their emotions and you get swept away in the abundant chemistry.

Love struck follows straight on from where Hate Struck left off and thats right in the middle of a big bombshell. This book is jam packed with a rollercoaster of emotions, twists and turns and a sense of you really don’t know how much Sarah can take. Adam is in a situation where he doesnt know what to do for the best. Will Sarah be able to deal and shake off her past. Will Adam stand by her or will his sense of duty and family keep him from her. Its a definite must read for anyone who read book one.

Heartbreakingly beautiful

This book was gut wrenching in the best way. I was invested in Adam and Sarah's story after the first book and was curious how it would play out. This was so much better than anything I expected. We got a deeper insight into Adam, and his journey was a heartbreaking one for sure. I completely fell in love with him and my heart broke for him many times during this book. My heart broke for Sarah too, for obvious reasons, but there was something about Adams journey that just really got to me. This isn't just a typical high school love story. It's a story of pain, and heartbreak, and trauma and family, and healing. Absolutely stunning.

Love Struck by Nikki Ashton is book Two in the Maddison High Series. This continues the story of Sarah Danes and Adam Hudson, so you really should read the previous book 'Hate Struck' before starting this one. This does start where we left off in the previous book. Sarah and Adam where getting closer and letting trust come in. But then someone from both of their past came back with damaging actions that may take away what they had started to build. Page turning read.

Book 2 finished exactly where book 1 ends. Like book 1, parts keep us on the edge of our seat. Will they make it? won't the make it? Is the words on repeat all the way through. To find out the answer you must read this duet.
