Second Chance
Vida Nilsson is at rock bottom. She's recently divorced, still pining for her old life, and can't seem to move on.
Not that she gets to wallow very often. In fact, she's got her own cheerleader constantly reminding her to 'get over it already'.
Dirks Eagon is her brother's BFF. He's big, tattooed, and she's known him her whole life. They've grown up together and are like family, whether either of them likes it or not.
Truthfully, Vida hasn't given Dirks much thought as anything more then an annoyance; but as her downward spiral continues, it seems that he's the only one to catch her when she falls.
Thing is, Dirks doesn't think about her, not even like a sister.
It's worse. He doesn't think about her at all...
Problem is, he's all she can think about.
