This is a short story, so I didn't go in expecting a lot of character development. That being said, I would have loved to have gotten the story from Darkhan's POV. It feels like he was guest-starring in his own romance story. The readers BARELY got any time with him and so we aren't able to get any chemistry from the H and h. We don't know why they are supposedly madly in love except that it was destiny. Another thing that bothered me is that Sierra was left in the dark about EVERYTHING. She is an outsider to this seemingly magical world, who is set to be married to the Dragon Prince! Why did no one see it fit to inform her of what was expected of her and the ceremony. Nothing was explained to the readers either. Everything was glossed over. The only semblance of explanation we got was that Sierra knew that deep in her heart she somehow was familiar with all of this.... Right.
If you're looking for a quick, clean read about Shangri-la, then this book is for you.
This novels was the perfect short romantic story. The characters were well thought out. This is the perfect fairytale romance about taking a chance in something new.
It was definitely a quickie, but t was sweet and predictable. For anyone looking for a short story with the lack of drama this is it, but in a good way. No sex scene though
Okay so I know this was like a short look quickie of a read. I did like it it was just too short. The concept was great the dragon elements and you know them being thousand-year-old mates was so like sweet. I just felt like it could have been a little bit more to the story even for how short it was
