Rate this book
Accidentally Ever After by USA Today bestselling author Dakota Cassidy is a fairy tale romp complete with fairy godmothers, an evil queen, woodland creatures, a Jersey salesclerk on a mission to find Shamalot, and of course a handsome hero. This laugh-out-loud addition to the Accidentally Paranormal series will get you in the holiday mood as the girls from OOPS strut their stuff in a land far, far, far away.

Antonia Vitali's on the run and in hiding, working as a salesclerk in a designer outlet mall in Jersey. Toni's life has been on a steady downward decline for three years now, the ghosts of her past always nipping at her heels.

Little does she know, her life's about to change when the OOPS girls whisk in for a day of Christmas shopping and fall through a wormhole in the store's dressing room, taking Toni with them!

Now Toni's got a pair of sparkly purple heels gifted to her by the Good Witch of the South—gorgeous heels she can't take off until she returns them to the king. With a trio of reluctant fairy godmothers and an ogre named Dannan, Toni's on a mission to get to the castle to receive a happily-ever-after she never asked for. Along the way, she meets an amazingly handsome, utterly chiseled stable boy named Jon Doe, who offers to help them navigate the Not So Sherwod Forest and get them all to Castle Beckett before Christmas Eve.

But if her happily-ever-after is at the castle, why would she rather make time with the stable boy? And why does the evil Queen Angria want Toni’s head on a platter? And how in the world has she developed her newfound, peculiar...um...talents?

Join Toni, Marty, Nina, Wanda and Carl, as they journey along the treacherous road to love and eternal happiness in the magical realm of Shamalot!

I love the fun style that comes with reading Dakota Cassidy's books. She's exciting, slightly racy, and oh so punny. I've been reading the Accidentally Friends series since book one and I can't help but keep coming back for more. That being said, the more into this series I read, the less defined the character's voices are becoming. All the women think in a similar style. Hell, I can barely tell Wanda and Marty apart anymore. And I understand that the author wants to give a refresher course on the series for anyone just tuning in but there's got to be a better way than feeling like I'm getting cliff-notes at the beginning of every book. I'm too invested in these characters to give up now, even though out of the 11 books in this series this one isn't in my top 5, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a better next installment.

Ha ha ha...my star-ratings are waning. What woman doesn't like to shop (okay, I know a few)? I think that even though each story is different, for the most part the reader is going to know a lot about what to expect. In this one, though, Nina shines with her snarky attitude. I love snark, but I know some readers are put off by it. I think I have read too many of this too close together, but I do think that this one is not up to par with the others. That being said, I'm still going to read the whole series.

Officially the weakest of the series but interested to see what's going to happen with Nina.

I read to escape when I am reading for pleasure. This series has been fun, fun, fun. The recurring characters are fully developed and interesting. I enjoy the interplay between the recurring characters and the fact that they return every book.

Is this War and Peace? No. Is it a fun read to escape the drudgery of work and life, you bet!

Was actually a little disappointed and never laughed out loud once. You know what to expect with this series, but agree with prior comments that this is the lightest story of the series. The only thing that is interesting is to see what happens with Nina. And it's obvious from the next title, what that is...

Dakota Cassidy takes on pop culture and fairytales with the help of OOPS team Marty, Wanda and Nina. So put on your tiara and get ready to giggle, laugh and add in an occasional hearty guffaw in this laugh a minute romp.

I loved the start of this book. I felt the story dragged somewhat and this not on par with the rest of the series. I also felt Wanda and Marty was barely part of the story which made me a bit sad, I like the oops girls together lol. This was a good book but I feel Dakota Cassidy raised the bar and this one wasnt AS good as her others HOWEVER it was a good book. The world she created was awesome and my liked it alot more than Toni. My one complaint would be bad guys back in Jersey seem boring. This is the 2nd time the main character has been hiding from gangster type criminals and its just blah.

At first I wasn't really feeling this one. I switched to audio and liked it a lot better. It was cute and quick. Going through an exceptionally hard time right now due to the passing of a very close loved one on the day I started this book... but, there were several instances in the book that made me smile, and even almost chuckle! It may be silly and fluffy (I love fluffy!), but it was an easy read and a perfect distraction.

Nina is still my favorite, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

All the Nina please.

Oh, and I guess I enjoy all the other characters as well and these books always give me some laughs. They're like candy or popcorn. Something to overindulge in on occasion. I am trying to take my time with the ones I have on hand just to make them last longer before I run out.

Fun and unexpected

I love how much fun this book was to read and I love how unexpected the storyline was. Dakota Cassidy crafts a fine story with a great cast of characters and a detailed paranormal setting. This novel has everything - humor, mystery, and romance, with a great paranormal twist.

OMG I just love how Dakota made Brenda southern and put a twist on Nina at the end and moat of all added her own comedy version of Wizard of Oz into Shamalot. Can't wait to read book 12 and what it awaits.

These are not great literature. Not complex. Not deep. They are simply light, amusing, fluff. There is, however, a lot of feel-good warmth. Sometimes, books like this are just what you need.

This one was fun. And had a lot of action and the guy wasn't as terrible as the other guys. Overall, I think I would read it again.

I love Dakota's Accidental series, and this installment is no exception. The ladies of OOPS (Out in the Open Paranormal Support) - Wanda (half vampire/half werewolf), Marty (werewolf) and Nina (vampire) find themselves dragged into Shamalot, an alternate reality, when they follow Antonia Vitali, an apparel shop employee, through a wormhole that opened in the dressing room they were using. If you are at all familiar with the books, you can imagine Nina's reaction, OMG!!

Toni, our main protagonist, needs the ladies' help quite desperately. She is hiding from the Russian mob after fleeing for her life after she witnessed her boyfriend Stas and one of his associates standing over a dead body in the car dealership where they were both employed. Three years later, hiding out has taken it's toll. Forced to find sub-par jobs to avoid discovery, this shop and it's manager from hell has worn Toni down to nothing, and when she makes an inadvertent wish, she plunges them all into the Fairy-tale world of Shamalot. Oops for real!

One pair of magic slippers later.... Our plucky and irreverent OOPS ladies decide to save Toni, of course, but all would have been better if it wasn't Christmas time. Who wants to be away from family at Christmas, and then Nina needs to feed, of course, and "food" is nowhere to be found.

I love that Dakota populated Shamalot/Camelot and the rest of this world - Not So Sherwood Forest, etc., with parodies of all the fairy tales we enjoyed as children. And with her normal mix of a teensy bit flawed, but very personable and lovable characters, we can enjoy the romp as Toni finds herself evolving into a strong woman too. Nothing like magic slippers to give a girl a boost!

If you enjoy paranormal hi-jinks and strong characters, with just a bit of sexiness to keep it lively, I think you will love this story and all of the rest of the Accidental series. Dakota hits it out of the park for me, and I hope you'll feel that way too.

This is such a fun series. I've been enjoying this series since the first book when we first meet Marty, Wanda, and the cranky Nina as they were selling Bobby Sue Cosmetics when Marty was accidentally bitten by a werewolf. After the third book, they started OOPS to help out other accidental paranormals.

Toni is in hiding working at a discount clothing store when she first encounters the threesome out on a shopping trip. After being humiliated again by her much younger boss and wishing she were anywhere else but there... She discovered her customers had disappeared in the changing room, and she ended up being sucked into some kind of vortex after them.

After landing in a place they discovered was called Shamelot, every fairy tale you have ever read is played with and tweaked in good hearted fun in this story. Magical shoes are placed on Toni's feet after landing on a drunken witch. She must get the shoes to the rightful owner, King Dick, by Christmas Eve in order for everyone to be able to get back to New Jersey. Nina, Marty, and Wanda are transformed into honorary fairy godmothers (wings, gowns, and beehive hairdos), and are charged with helping Toni on her quest. Aiding them on their quest is local deer herder Jon Doe, and a blue ogre named Dannan.

With a fun narration by the author mixed in, this story is nothing but a fun read, and I was smiling and laughing at their escapades! An evil Queen Angria sends many a foe after Toni, and we find out how special those shoes are when push comes to shove. There is action, adventure, true love, and we get to really see Crusty Nina's soft side in this story as Toni learns what it's like to have true friends who will stick by her!

This series will always by on my to read list whenever a new story comes out!

Another fun adventure for the ladies of OOPS!!! This book was fun to read. Nina, Wanda and Marty are transported to another world with their latest paranormal crisis. Shamalot was a lot of fun. Ms. Cassidy took quite a few of our favorite fairy tales and through them at the ladies. But I think the best. Honestly the best part of the book was that Nina had to wear a flowing yellow dress, had wings and bluebird surrounding her in song all day long.
Just like everyone of Ms. Cassidy’s book you will laugh, you might cry but it is a guarantee that you will want Nina, Wanda and Marty as your best friends. I can’t wait to see what is next in the Accidental series

This is a another great addition to an incredible series and this one was my favorite so far! This is a well written story with a play on classic fairy tales and includes a cast of wacky, zany characters that will have you laughing until you cry! Toni's on the run and hiding and working in retail and ends up going on an adventure with the girls from the OOPS into a strange land called Shamalot. I have really fallen in love with this series and it just keeps getting better! I can't wait to see what this author comes up with next! I highly recommend this to anyone, especially if you're looking for a touching and hilariously quirky read. I can't get enough of the accidental series! Oops here we go again

I have read everyone of the Accidentally series and am constantly amazed that not one book has gotten by with the same old formula. They don't! Each book is a new and refreshing take on the theme.
This story has our girls Accidentally finding an incredible sale at an outlet store....heaven for Marty and Wanda but Nina? Ehh.. not so much. But at least there's ice cream to look forward to with Zombie Carl. Yeah don't count on it!
Full of twists and turns, drama and laughter our trio once again Sally forth!
It is truly an enjoyable read!
