Lionheart
Lionheart is an inspiring story of love, forgiveness, and the power of music.
David Francisco grew up living a comfortable, middle-class American life in Knoxville, Tennessee. He played sports and music and was captain of both his high school soccer team and the marching band. He later attended the University of Tennessee and graduated with a degree in electrical engineering in 2014—but music was his real passion.
David spent the next two years recording songs, teaching piano and guitar lessons, playing in a church band on Sunday mornings, and producing and performing his own music. In 2016, he enrolled in the prestigious Blackbird Academy in Nashville.
Then, in April 2016, while riding his bicycle in Nashville, Tennessee, David was hit by a distracted driver. Doctors told him he would never walk again. His life had changed forever. David thought to himself: What if I am in pain for the rest of my life? What could I offer the world like this? Will I ever get better?
Lionheart is the richly detailed and intimate account of David's crash, recovery, and return to music: from thinking he lost everything, to appearing on national television (twice), to marrying his soulmate, Kristi—to finding a life and purpose beyond his wildest imagination.
Lionheart is so much more than a simple recounting of David's post-crash odyssey. Lionheart is a movement that aims to empower people to find purpose.

Heartwarming
David's book was inspirational, heartwarming and a tale of courage and forgiveness. His love for music, his family, God and Kristi give him the strength to recover from his accident. I enjoyed the fact that the songs he wrote were part of the book. I know his future is going to be great.

What an amazing true story of hope, courage, and love!

Awe-inspiring and courageous
What an awe-inspiring story told with such raw honesty. This story can only encourage and inspire us all to courageously pursue our best lives, to set our faces like flint and overcome. Lionheart has heart! David Francisco is not a gifted writer, but he has an incredible energy, love of life and a truly uplifting, optimistic, radiant spirit. His raw, passionate style brings even more meaningfulness to the autobiography and his inspiring message. I loved Liohheart. David Francisco tells the story of his life after a paralyzing accident. The physical rehabilitation and adaptation was grueling and painful. However, it was the emotional, intellectual and spiritual rehabilitation which was the truly motivating story. David tells his story with honesty, simplicity, humbleness and....yes....gratitude. Gratitude for all he has in life, which is still magnificent and wonderful. I highly recommend Lionheart.
