I knew it was a bad idea to come into the quarantine zone. But I never expected to find myself chained to a tree as bait.
A piece of meat to lure the Alphas in.
Soon my body will go into estrus, filling the air with pheromones. I’ll be unable to hide my body’s urgent need.
I know exactly what will happen then. I’ve studied the stories about the cataclysm.
The beasts will descend upon me, craving my omega flesh. They will claim me. They will use me in the most shameful ways imaginable. They will share my body for their savage pleasure.
And I will love it.
Howls at the edge of the forest. More than one. They are almost here.
My time is almost up...
Marked Omegais the first part of a reverse harem omegaverse romance series. The novel can be read as a standalone. There is no cheating and a well-deserved HEA awaiting the characters at the end of their journey. Enjoy!
Every single time the author repeated the word "tushy" my already sad world became bleaker.
This book made an olympic sport out of finding the most disgusting, cringe worthy synonyms for genitalia: meaty rod, tush, plump helmet (plump fucking helmet y'all. I cannot believe this woman), thrumming nubbin, tuft (that's pubes btw. I didn't know what that was and I honestly never needed to), "my eaten hole"..... If this book had a smell, it'd be a fish factory. I have no explanation for you.
I really liked the overall plot: omegaverse meets resident evil, with a reverse harem twist. This book is set in a post apocalyptic world where a virus turned the majority of people into beta’s, who were basically zombies, but a select number of people became Alphas and even fewer became omegas. A portion of the population, who acted quickly before the virus affected them, quarantined themselves in the “hive city” and work for SynerGen Corp (a la Resident Evil). The people in the hive city live in shields and are protected from the virus, so they are not alphas, omegas or betas. But once they leave their hive, they can become infected and turn into one of those 3 dynamics, no way of knowing which one.
Lilly, a scientist who works for this evil corporation, is taken into the quarantine zone in search of her missing friend. She is then betrayed by her boss, who uses her as bate to try to catch Alphas. To no one’s surprise, Lilly turns into an Omega. The fun ensues from there when Lilly is found by 3 alphas who become her mates.
I think this book had a lot of potential. It had a really interesting concept. I think if it had been longer and the relationship between Lilly and her three mates had been developed more, it could have been a solid read. As it was, the relationship between Lilly and the Alphas takes place over a matter of a few days, although it’s hard to tell the exact duration because Lilly is unconscious for some of that time, but the point is that they spend very little time together. After Lilly and her Alphas meet, they take her back to their city, then they are performing the bonding ritual (aka group sex with an audience), then they are, all of a sudden, in love...?! It made no sense! Especially for Hasker, who hated Lilly because she was an outsider. There was no relationship building between any of them (and honestly not even that much sex! In most books like this there’s a lot of boning then spontaneous L bombs being dropped. But these people actually only do the deed once! So it was even more surprising when they were all of a sudden “in love”). I really hate insta love!
Sooo this is a quarantine/apocalyptic reverse harem omegaverse romance. It was... different. The characters are okay? Kind of forgettable but I was here for the steam, which mostly delivered.
I really enjoyed this one. Touches of humor (the h is funny, very likeable), smut, a foundation for a good backstory with a corrupt corporation, scienctific experiments, a dystopian world... Ideal for cold, rainy evenings.
I found pretty interesting the origin of the Alpha/Omega/Beta mutation, I'd like to know how the story is going to develop.
We have POVs from all the MCs - my favorite, although not for everyone - so we can see the story from different perspectives and the story-telling is not so two-dimensional.
I would recommend this for those looking for a hot, reverse-harem read, but want more than just sex scenes. I forgot: the 3 alphas are very different from each other in age and physically, so no clones here, there's one for every taste.
Wish there was some more relationship building or interactions between the Omega and her Alphas to show them building love/intimacy instead of being told they have deep feelings for each other. I like the story line though so I will continue with the series.
A huge catastrophe created mutants, horrible monsters who can tear you apart. Thankfully, they are quarantined behind a giant wall.
Bad news is, Lily is going there to find her friend who went missing. Unfortunately, people she went with had other plans with her. They want to use her as a bait, to lure in the Alphas.
Lilly ends up falling for her protectors, who were a lot gentler than the horrible monsters she heard about.
She discovers a whole new world behind the wall. One that might actually be better than the one she left.
Steamy and sweet at the same time. Definitely worth a good read. I'd recommend it to anyone who's into steamy romance novels and three hot werewolf Alphas.
Interesting concept. I'm going to read the next one just to see where the overarching plot goes.
Otherwise, there was no relationship development. None. Also, the word choices for genitalia were so so awful. Also, she's a virgin with zero experience and she suddenly just knows how to deep throat and direct the men how to please her? Wha.....
Ok I have to ask... is it a conscious decision to continue to write FMCs as childlike and petulant? Is there something I'm not getting? Why do I want to read about an adult woman who speaks and acts like she's 12? If someone is stupid enough to run naked through dangerous woods at night to "escape" (to get where? she already acknowledge she can't go home so what was the point?) from people who haven't hurt you in any way is she even intelligent enough to consent??? By the end I mostly felt bad for the alphas who were stuck with her.
Please, please, please can we start writing women who are capable of basic logic? We can still get behind a sheltered, innocent FMC if she acts like an adult. This whole feisty/strong = temper tantrums thing has got to stop
I asked a friend ''I need a book with mates/ knotting/ breeding. Any recommendations?'' and this was what I got.
Plot wise it's ok, nothing much happens BUT that was not why I wanted to read this genre, and I'm sure it's not why you are looking into the reviews. *wink*
Now the important part: SPICINESS This was a great book where you can find several niche topics such as knotting, mates, fate, omegaverse, and post-apocalyptic.
I enjoyed reading in the POV of all the characters, and that added to the intensity of the spicy scenes.
The plot is excellent and has all I want to read about it - Alohas, Omegas and a bad Company.
As an introduction to a series with a lot of content and background, it was a bit too much 'TMI‘. The idea, the world building and how the A's get to the one O - well done, interesting and exciting.
But now comes the big BUT: there was too much story around it that was told and the development of the romance itself fell by the wayside too short for me, no room for rubbing up against contradictions organically growing into the HEA or HFN. Even there, I'm unsure. Approaches with the Old Guys of the pack were there to build up a bit of emotional connection, but there was no room, no time for it. Part 3 in particular tempted me to skim through and cross-read. The ritual, the bonding itself were unconvincing and made me think rather, she didn't have much (choice) or alternatives, so her motivation seemed more like a 9to5 job including integration of the old timers. Nice of her and the two old timers are quite useful in some situations, for example in Part 4.
All in all well readable, rather shorten something and explain in later stories the ways of the world and for something more binding, pack drama and not everything at once: ritual, marking and additional marking is too much at once.
if it irritate me so much, the tendency is probably more towards 2 star, but I like the author and remain hopeful at 3!
Gave this my best go. Interesting take on dystopian/apocalypse OV, but it's just...too much and not enough at the same time. It feels sort of like taking all of the most overused lines and phrases from the genre and turning them into the story. FMC is supposed to be intelligent and immediately tries to get herself raped and eaten in the worst-hatched escape attempt ever.
Just. Come on, man. Give me something to work with here.
Lily works for the sinister SynGen company and is fooled into thinking that her team is heading into the quarantine zone on a rescue mission for her friend Eva. Little does she realize that EVIL is afoot!
This is not a long novel, but all of the characters are fairly well developed and the plot is excellent! Highly recommend! Onto Book 2!
Another fun omegaverse romance by Lizzy Bequin, this one set in a different alternate Earth than her first m/f omegaverse trilogy. This novel had well done world building, with the zone being a vibrant character in itself. The characterization of the heroine and three heroes was competently done, with all four protagonists being sympathetic characters. The development of the romance between the heroine and the three heroes was the least well developed aspect of this story, but that could partly be because there was so much high stakes danger and exciting plot happening in this book that there wasn't as much room for the slower pace typically required for the process of showing characters falling in love. Also, reverse harem romances are very demanding for an author to write well, with there typically being four or more protagonists falling in love. This romance used the Woman Shortage trope, in addition to a variation on the Fated Mates trope, with less Fate and more Mating Bond at play. This novel had low angst and sky high stakes, which I typically enjoy as the narrative structure in a romance novel. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy reverse harem romances or m/f omegaverse romances. I will probably be buying myself a keeper copy of this novel.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
When I started reading this book, it reminded me of the Omegaborne Trilogy by Sara Fields. The story might be a little bit similar, but it is very different and just as enjoyable. This book has humor and romance, dark violence and disregard for other people, and some hot sex with twosomes, threesomes and moresomes. The story ends in a mild cliffhanger, but it is about the world and political structure, not the mated tribe featured in this story. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Downloaded from BookSprout. I received this book free from the author for my honest review. Since I rely heavily on reviews to make decisions about purchases, I will never lie or over-exaggerate my opinion. There is nothing worse than seeing a bunch of 5 star reviews and realizing the book is full of errors or just plain bad and not worth my hard earned money!
With each book that LB adds to her world, it just get hotter and hotter. There intrigue behind the mega-corp SynerGen and the evil the plans they have just gets more twisted with each book. There plots get more involved and intense, while the Alphas just get hotter and hotter. Man, the woman knows how to add steam to a scene. I loved the storyline and hope for more too the series. I will say that while I did enjoy the Alphas and their character traits, Lily's character drove me crazy at times with her typical cliche attitude. For example, the Alphas had just saved her and are sleeping, she is far away from anything, in a stranger place, and had been sold out by her people and she's in heat. Does she decide it's probably safer to stay with them rather than go out into the dark and unknown??? NO!!! If course not, she sneaks away like a dumb butt. How stupid is that?? She's in heat so of course she will attract other Alphas who will want to rape her, she's in the dark and doesn't know her way home and she wants to go back to the place that sold her out. Dumb move. We all know what happens (insert eye-roll here), she has to get saved. She proceeds to complain when the Alphas (who had to just saved her life) tell her they are taking her home. So ungrateful. Later she talks one of the younger Alphas into sneaking her out of the city to see a friend's grave (can you see where this is going), after a steamy scene she again sneaks away - though she knows she shouldn't. Guess what happens?!? She gets captured and has to get rescued again by her Alphas. I just annoyed with characters that continue to do dumb stuff and put others in danger without acknowledging their actions effect others. She just stays selfish in her actions though pretend otherwise. This is just my personal annoyance with this particular character and though bothersome did not overall detract from my enjoyment of the book

Why write sex scenes if you can't even use regular words to describe them? Nubbin? Tushy? Plump helmet??
"Kadmon’s penis prods my tush..."
"I moan loudly through my nose as Kadmon goes hilt deep in my ass and his taut pelvis presses against my soft tushy."
I couldn't take those scenes seriously.
Anyway aside from the many horrible intimate scenes, the main character was ridiculously annoying. Idk why it's the trend these days to make FMCs not only naive but also stupid. She was wilful about the dumbest things, and caused more problems because she didn't listen when she should have. She's supposed to be smart, but she didn't put two and two together from the things they were telling her to realize they were surrounded by bad alphas and it wasn't safe for her to run off alone. She also didn't struggle when she should have, instead giving into whatever sexual desires they had without question, even when she thought one of them hated her. I just cannot.
Also she was oddly cognizant throughout her entire heat, able to have full conversations for hours, and only once was it really bad before a couple orgasms had her going to sleep--it never got bad again after that, though they kept saying it would. The inconsistency chafes.
The world itself was so fascinating and I was excited to read about this post apocalyptic society but the characters themselves ruined it (the alphas were bad too, never asking for permission, just doing).
Okay so I was actually quite upset that this book didn't end up better than it was - I genuinely thought I was going to love it.
For about the first 25% (maybe?) I think it was alright, and I liked where the story was going - she's taken by the alphas and they kind of start communicating and I'm thinking like okay, this is giving me serious Ice Plant Barbarian vibes and I am here for it.
But then Addom wakes up and he's just a total jerk to her?! And she just puts up with it? Like, okay, she whines a bit but he slaps her bum a couple times and she's like alright he can just be a d*ck and I'll just hang here over his shoulder asking "are we there yet" like a child?
It was from about here that I just didn't really care much for the book. Fair enough, once they were bonded they all started being nicer and taking care of her but that just made it seem like they were being nice to their bond and not actually Lily. And she was totally okay with the whole bonding thing, she didn't even try and fight it? Or ask questions? Literally just did whatever they said and had a little whine at herself about it.
Quite disappointed, I had really high hopes and think the premise of the book was really interesting and the world building could have made for a really good book but it was honestly just a bit of a flop if I'm honest.
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is the first story I have read by Lizzy Bequin. I really enjoyed the world that she created. It grabbed you from the beginning and made me want to put it down. It has drama, suspense, lots of heat and a HEA for the characters with a lead in to the next book. Lily and her Alphas live in a world that is devastated my a cataclysmic event. She is human living in a hive city inside the wall. Once tricked into a rescue mission into the quarantine zone she is turned into an Omega. She is taken by Addom, Hasker and Kadmon who cannot resist her scent. She learns very quickly that her circumstances could be so much worse. The Alphas plan to claim her as their mate even though she is a outsider turned into an Omega. Once they reach their home city, she and another Omega start to unravel what had actually happened to world so long ago. The world building for the series was well done and makes me anticipate the next book. I really enjoyed her writing style. If rh and sci-fi are your type of genre, you will really enjoy this book. Its a good standalone that will make you want to read more.

If you are looking for heavy spice and light plot, then you have found it. Me oh my, is it ever heavy on spice. This is basically book p o r n and I'm not here to complain about it. The plot was just intriguing enough to keep you reading and turning pages, although to be fair I wasn't going to stop reading the book just because the spice was so darn good. This is a reverse harem, insta-love, spicefest. The basic premise is the world has had a massive change and anyone who ventures outside the wall of the "civilized" side of the world will be instantly changed into either an omega, alpha or beta. Beta's are basically zombies so must be killed immediately. Omegas are rare so they are always mated to packs and the pack that takes in this omega take really, really good care of her body.....repeatedly. My husband enjoyed me reading the book so your mate might as well, so if you like graphically hot spice then enjoy! If you are looking for a sweet and tame romance, keep looking as this isn't it. I would go so far as to say the care the alphas give when not ravaging their omega is sweet, but seriously if you don't like lots of spice then find another book!
A impressed, somewhat dark Sci-fi omegaverse romance & a splendid start to a new series. The plot is well-paced, suspenseful & filled with completely unexpected events. There are good scene descriptions. The characters are complex individuals with good chemistry between them although the male characters are inclined to confrontational & brutal at times, they are extremely protective towards female character. There is: a female research assistant (Lily) is tricked by a unethical doctor(Dr. Lucian) & used as bait to attract a alpha but due to circumstances beyond her control she goes into heat & lands up with three dominate alphas (Addom, Hasker &Kadmon), a conniving mega-corp (SynerGen) experiments, alpha/beta/omega projects, deceit, betrayal, memories, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, secrets, adventure, action, devious plans, threats, conflict, violence, desperation, determination, attempted escape, strange attractions, longings, mates, steamy scenes, contentment & a well-deserved satisfying epilogue. I enjoyed reading this Sci-Fi romance & would recommend it.
In a world that has been left with two zones, one a safe zone behind the wall where Lilly was a research assistant , and the other zone where dangers await. She is going to the outta zone looking for her friend Eva, but when they get to a point, she finds herself and another tied up to a tree, just left there. The man wants an Alpha and the ladies are bait. Unfortunately the other young ladies is a beta and dies, but Lilly she is an omega and the first to come upon her is Addom. Sensing a trap but unable to do much for the call of the omega he is taken, but not before his men come and rescue them. Addom, Hasker and Kadmon must mark this omega to get her body ready for the claiming.
Twist and turns and a lot of loving in this book, a book that is a must read, from start to finish it is engaging and a wonderful HEA
This book had such great potential. RH? Omegaverse? Post apocalyptic setting? All great. But I really struggled with the wording. I feel like the author used and abused a thesaurus. It just didn’t work. There were so many ways they said body parts and most of them were horrendous. Some places they used words that just didn’t fit and it made me wonder if they actually knew what the words meant. It just became so distracting.
I also didn’t like the relationships. There wasn’t much growth and it went from caveman you omega, me alpha. We own you to suddenly they love each other. There was no buildup and that was disappointing.
So I’m giving this 2 ⭐️ because the idea was cool. Like an umbrella corps situation but it wasn’t executed great. I don’t think I will continue the series.
Lily goes to find a missing friend in the quarantine zone. The doctor she goes with encourages her to come with him to help look for her friend. Lily finds herself chained to a tree naked instead. The doctor has betrayed her and tells her that her friend died after being exposed to the contaminated air. Lily is told that she is live bait to attract alphas, so the doctor can catch one to study. Lily realizes that she is an omega when her body betrays her and she goes into heat, She is rescued from the tree by a pair of alphas and they take her to safety. Her adventure begins. A hot sexy story.

This book was so good. It was fun and steamy plus well written! Lily is so strong even if she doesn’t necessarily realize it. Addom, Hasker, and Kadmon are such alphas (literally in this case) and such good mates. I like how they are clearly three separate people with their own differences and personalities. Too many books have only one or two minor differences between the male characters. I found the Source fascinating, and the understanding the people had about it was a little bit hilarious but understandable. I will be revisiting this book in the future.
