Penelope Wright spent a quarter of her life on the east coast and the rest in Washington state. She worked her way through college in restaurants, hospitals, factories, and everything in between, finally graduating summa cum laude from the University of Washington after an absurdly long time. She loves both traditions and new experiences, and will try anything once, except skydiving, which is a hard no. She lives north of Seattle with her husband and two amazing teenagers.
I really enjoyed this series and inhaled all six books in one weekend.
+ They were easy to follow, even with a unique time travel dynamic. + The story was compelling, exciting and the characters believable, relatable with personal growth even in minor characters + I was left wanting to learn a LOT more about life in the Towers. So much world-building potential! - A little repetitive in sections - Some big twists in place because the characters hadn't reflected on their own time travel experiences. General Safeco can manage the intricacies of time travel, but doesn't understand the Grandfather (Grandmother?) paradox? - Every book ends in a cliffhanger. I personally dislike this in series, but since I read the collection all at once, it was a minor detractor for me. - The final book handles The Collapse, but the timeframe of securing the Towers was so fast, I was pulled right out of the story.
Great series, with some flaws that merited subtracting one star. I'll be looking for other work from this author!

3.5. I read Time Bomb because I was taking an online class with Penelope Wright, and I wanted to see what her writing was like. I loved it--- It was an action packed time travel book where the action took place in both a contemporary and future Seattle, which is a city I know well. Unfortunately, Time Bomb left me hanging, so I thought I'd read the entire series--- The plot and action of the series is excellent. There are so many twists and turns-- it keeps you actively involved in the book-- and the location remains very relevant to someone from the area---BUT---There were some areas where i was unable to suspend my disbelief----I will not give things away because of spoilers- but I will say that some of the unquestioned assumptions were frustrating. Still-- very suspenseful--very interesting--never boring--especially if you are from the Seattle area. Still worth reading.
This Dystopian Maze of a Tale Grabs and Won't Let Go
Finally together in one set, these six books build one upon another to an astonishing conclusion. Well constructed and set in a flooded Seattle of the future, this story will pull you back and forth through changing realities in time. Rosie Columbia is a powerful character who needs to set the past right so she can save those she loves in the present and the future. Recommended for adult and high level teenage readers.
I thoroughly enjoyed this series. The characters made you want the best for them with a couple of exceptions because there always has to be a bad guy or two. I listened vis Audible first and then read it in Kindle to pick up the details I missed the first time. I am looking forward to more from Penelope Wright and would love for her to revisit this world so we can get the next generation’s stories.
This series was such a thrilling adventure! I read the whole thing in 3 days, couldn't put it down! Great storyline, lots of twists and turns, excellent characters! Definitely will be reading more from this author.
I'm impressed. The cork board for keeping the lines straight must have been massive with dozens of strings interconnecting. I read all of it over the course of basically a day and a half.
I have been captivated from the moment I picked up this book series to read. Every detail of it intrigued me. I highly recommend this book series. Be prepared to cry, laugh, get angry, and be happy!
