This is my first visit to Heart’s Edge but it will not be my last.

This is a slow burn romance featuring a hot, wounded (physically and emotionally) firefighter single father who also hosts a local radio talk show (whew). Peace is a young hippie massage therapist traveling the country “finding herself”. It’s a tale of the tortured hero pushing away the heroine and the heroine breaking down all his walls.

It was an enjoyable read with suspense noted as they seek to find out the arsonist in this small town. Throw in a rebellious teenage daughter and you have a winner.

I recommend this book.

This book very nearly had my ugly crying there were so many emotions in this book it was a nonstop intriguing read. I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced readers copy of this book.

Peace has decided to spend winter in Hearts Edge, she is a bit of a nomad and since the death of her father she hasn’t ever really found anywhere she has wanted to call home but there is something about this little town that calls to her. And then she meets Blake Silverton the towns Fire chief, single father and the silver tongue man she has been listening to on her radio, there is immediate chemistry between the two but one that he seems ready to fight at every turn. Peace is a massage therapist and can see the pain the pain his war injury causes him as well as the determination and love he hides in his heart but when he pushes her help away every time she opens her heart will she stay and try to show him and his daughter that love really can conquer all or will the danger that surrounds this town wreck their chances of a happily ever after?

Blake Silverton is the towns Fire Chief, a single father and widow not to mention a broken man after an injury that has never healed the day that he meets Peace Rabe is the day his life changes in ways he wasn’t ready for. She tries to help him and with his past he sees no choice to push her away especially as there is an arsonist in town and danger around every corner. Can he really hide from the feelings that Peace brings out in him and keep her, his daughter and Heart’s Edge safe or is he about to lose everything again?

This was a book filled with intrigue, danger and love and let me put it this way this book doesn’t give you chance to get bored it’s a nonstop thrilling book from start to finish. Peace and Blake are both hiding from the past and together they learn to fly. Loved Andrea she was written as a teenager we can all relate to and the whodunit side to the book was just what was needed. Highly recommended read. 5*

Holy bookhangover! This fiery slow-burn for alpha small-town fire chief Blake spares NOTHING. He's insanely hot. He's broody. He's sworn off love to play reluctant hometown hero and raise his teenage daughter. Enter one spunky hippie chick with a love of music who winds up on his doorstep. Oh, how the sparks fly. Blake and Peace are total opposites and she might be the only one brave enough to fill the hole in his heart. And when she winds up threatened by a mysterious arsonist raising hell across town, Blake steps up to protect and these two come together with passion, memories, and all the feels! Yet another hit in the Heroes of Heart’s Edge Series! I was pleased to see Blake finding love in this one. Peace is an interesting character, and her personal growth nicely mirrors Blake’s. However, I did feel that her backstory wasn’t as well fleshed out in this book compared to the heroines in other books.
There’s a new intense suspense plotline in this book, and while the twist was predictable, it was still a nail-bitingly thrilling read!

Fearless firefighter. Mesmerizing voice. Damaged single dad.
Stick a freaking fork in me...

There's a reason he's called Mr. Silver Tongue.
Blake Silverton could sweet talk an angel into sin.
Fierce small-town fire chief. Rough velvet voice. Drop dead gorgeous.
Don't even get me started on the tortured single dad thing.

Wintering in Heart's Edge isn't a choice when my van goes kaboom!
Neither is gawking at the human bulldozer who keeps charging to my rescue.
If only we could stop butting heads.
But I'm a healer. What's wrong with offering a grumpasaurus a massage?

I'm hardly obsessed.
I'm not tuning into his radio love line every single night.
That charred lump of coal he calls a heart isn't that fascinating.
I can handle one itsy bitsy insta-wildfire kiss.
Those fires some arsonist punk keeps setting around town, though...

Fine. I know I don't belong in Blake's desperado world.
Only, he won't let me go until I'm safe.
Some men wear Bad Idea on their sleeve.
But sometimes the heart falls hard for damaged goods.
Hold me.

Just when you think can’t love the men of Heart’s Edge any more than you already do...the author gives us an older, sexy firefighter with a savior complex!!! YUM!

Blake is a single dad, just doing his best. He’s a busy man trying to raise his teenage daughter all while keeping his town safe as the chief of the fire department. He’s seen as a local hero, but all he wants is a quiet life. Fighting fires when the needs arises, doling out friendly advice late at night on his radio how and trying his best to parent his sixteen year old daughter.

A call from a scared young woman brings him his first glimpse of Peace. She’s staying in town for the winter when her van goes up in flames. Blake is the one to take her emergency call and his desire for more than a quiet life is about to hit him right in the face.

Peace is the epitomy of her namesake. With her hippie fashion sense and her can do attitude, she brings the people around her a sense of peace. She’s a massage therapist, so even her job is about relieving pain and giving folks a feeling of wellbeing.

Blake and Peace share an instant attraction, however Blake is too stubborn to let himself give in. But she’s not going away any time soon. Peace has always been a drifter. Staying some place for a few months and then moving on. However, now that she’s reached Heart’s Edge she realizes never setting down roots wasn’t what she wanted. She’s just been searching for a reason to stay. Blake and his daughter may just give her the reason she needs.

Heart’s edge seems like a quiet town, but it has been plagued by tragedy. This romantic supense will keep you turning pages as Blake works to find out who’s setting fires around town and targeting his friends. As Peace gets caught in the crossfire, Blake steps in as her protector. He may have tried to stay away, but now that she’s under his care, avoiding her isn’t possible. This small town hero has met his match and their chemistry is just scorching!

Blake and Peace’s connection is intense. It’s a slow burn as he attempts to resist her, but Peace is everything that Blake needs. She’s his healer, friend, lover and soul mate. I hope this is not the end of Heart’s Edge because I love this small town and all it’s hero’s! Another incredibly seductive romantic suspense by this author.

This author is very consistent, with every one of her books you'll get the same thing: the brooding man and the bubbly doormat who loves him. I will say that in this case, she did an excellent job of creating a male lead whose assholery made sense. Blake is a fully realised character with a good quality backstory and personality. And she successfully navigated the often challenging single dad trope by writing a daughter who sounded like a normal teen, and a relationship between father and daughter filled with the kind of anger, attitude and confusion a real teen/parent relationship has. The heroine, Peace, was not given the same treatment. We are sort of vaguely told that she's damaged, though we never see that damage. Instead, she's bordering on a Mary Jane, excessively positive and forgiving.

The plot was pretty average, if you didn't guess who the bad guy was by the 20% mark then clearly you haven't read many novels. And that's fine, there is comfort in predictability. But it had the effect of making the book feel about 50% longer than it needed to be. There's only so much 'he pushes her away, she comes crawling back, then he does it again' that a person can stomach. I feel like I spent 40 years slogging through all of that, and because of that, the culmination just kind of felt meh.

As well, this book spent far too much time setting up what will be at least two future novels in the series. And ugh. There was no need to keep mentioning the Fuchsia Delaney character from the previous novel in this series. She does not appear in the book, so mentioning her in multiple different scenes served only to distract, especially in a story that was already far too long.

So yeah. Too long, too predictable but not entirely hateful.

Blake is a part time radio host and part time firefighter.
Heroine, Peace, is a free spirit massage therapist.Great start, but some parts fell flat.
Hero is a widower with a 16 year old daughter. Blake is a great father, doing his best raising her on his own.
I was worried that since Blake was a widower there would be pinning over dead wife, but no pinning. The couple was going through a divorce before the wife died.

Peace’s van broke down. She called 911 and was connected to ‘fire station’ which was Blake who was also on (radio) air at the time. Blake is a part-time firefighter, and part time DJ. I liked reading the couple’s initial meeting, but then the story fell flat. The writing just wasn't a style I prefer.

There is the mystery of who is setting fires in the small town.

The writing style did not work for me. I am not saying it was bad, but to me it felt dry. It was not smooth.

Part thriller, part passionate romance, fully wonderful, delicious, scary and even sad…
When I write a review, I keep a pad for notes. When I review one of Ms. Snow’s books, I keep several. Trying to condense her raw, intense and amazing puzzle of a story in a few words is difficult. I wanted to highlight the OMG moments, but there were just too many! Some had me squirming, some screaming, “watch out” while others had me in tears. This is a must read…The writing is beautiful (I’ve highlighted with a rainbow), realistic and fierce. I’m still haunted by the last scene between Blake and Justin. Covers not bad either!
Peace Rabe is a free-wheeling sort of girl who goes where the wind takes her and today it has taken her to Heart’s Edge, Montana or at least her hippie van does when it breaks down in a blaze. Vehicles breaking down is a common occurrence in Heart’s Edge;-) As a massage therapist she carries her business with her but this also allows her to notice that her hero is a fireman with a limp. Hmmm…
Volunteer Fire Chief Blake is there to put out the fire on her van. His wife died four years ago leaving him to raise his now teenage daughter which is challenging. Having a hard time coping causes his old war wound to act up. When Blake finally relents and lets Peace give him a massage, he finds the first serenity in a long while. Doesn’t hurt that his masseuse is one amazing red-headed wonder with great hands. Sparks fly!
This book was angsty, deliciously lusty, edge-of-your-seat thrilling and beautifully written. I loved how Ms. Snow made mention of other books in her library of works. Cool. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book and it comes highly recommended. I’d give it 10 super stars if I could!

Blake is a single dad raising a teenaged daughter while working as the fire chief in his town. Peace is a drifter never stays in one place long. When her van catches on fire its Blake that answers her call for help. When they meet they have an instant connection with one another. Peace decides after meeting Blake that maybe putting down some roots wouldn't be too bad. However Blake is determined to fight his attraction to Peace. Will Peace give up and move on? Will Blake see that she's his second chance at love?

This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

2.5 Stars. There were parts I really liked and I liked the characters. Overall it was just ok for me. I have a hard time with a fire chief being so off base about clues and pointing fingers based on ridiculous hunches etc. I liked their love story but the rest was just ok.

When you just play with all your heart,

...and let it come out of you full of beauty and wildness... Peace Silverton in No Damaged Goods

Nicole Snow writes beautiful stories. She creates them with warmth and depth and love. And then she gives them as a beautiful gift to us, her readers. With No Damaged Goods, Nicole Snow has given us the gift of the best book she's written. I don't say that lightly, her books are ALL good, but this?- this is her best.

Welcome back to Heart's Edge, Montana, a small town in the middle of nowhere. A small town that has seen more than its share of pain and heartbreak over the years. The Heroes of Heart's Edge have all found their place in the arms of good strong women who know a thing or two about handling these big, growly, sexy damaged men. All except Blake Silverton, the town's fire chief and late night radio host. Blake has loved and lost, and he doesn't believe in heroes regardless of what the town calls them. To him, they're just people who stepped up because they had to because there was no other way out.

Blake meets his match when a wild wind named Peace Rabe blows into town. Peace is only in town for the winter ski season with plans to move on when the winds warm up in the spring. But Heart's Edge has plans for Peace and Blake.

It's their story, their fight for each other that makes this story the best Snow has written. The danger that stalks the town and especially the town's heroes, comes from a source close to home. The pain of betrayal stings. It burns. You're going to feel it, your heart is going to catch and break right along with the town.

But Spring does come to Heart's Edge bringing hope for renewal. Happiness here in the valley is just a handful of wildflowers away. And maybe, if we're very lucky, the music of Heart's Edge will call to Ms. Snow again, and we'll get to visit with our friends here once again.

Mr. Snarly-saurus takes on the Pixie Spark that lights up his life!

I love this author's way with words, the lyrical flow of emotions, the growly, grumpy, heart-of-gold heroes, the spitfire heroines who save the hero so he can save the world. Papa Bear fire chief Blake and vagabond hippy Peace are another fantastic couple in the amazing Heart's Edge series. She brings all the healing music to his life, enabling him to rage against the fiery threats to his beloved family and community.

Blake's story has so much depth, so much angst, so much pain! Peace doesn't have all the answers, but her presence brings everything into focus and makes everything right in his world. I couldn't get enough of these two, and the intense heat between them was off the charts!

The mysterious arson investigation loops in all our favorite couples as Warren, Leo, and Doc help figure out the clues and rescue each other from the flames. The perpetrator turns out to be the last person you'd expect in a brilliant twist that nearly broke my heart.

This is a long book - proving once again that epic stories are well worth reading - so be prepared to settle in and ignore the rest of the world for a good long time as this book will steal you completely away and make you forget everything but Heart's Edge.

I loved the years later epilogue and how it not only updated us on Blake and Peace's HEA but snuck in another one as well. This story is a true work of art, and I highly recommend it for anyone who loves a thrilling romance. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Spread your Wings and Fly With Me...

I immediately fell in love with the town of Heart's Edge from the very first book. It's true, everyone knows everybody and their business but they will always have your back in a crisis. This town has charm but most of all it has heroes who are the first to admit that they are no such thing.

Blake Silverton is one of those heroes, though he is the first to admit that is absolutely not true. He is the town's Fire Chief. Rugged and broken is the best way to describe him. Torment and loss plagues Blake and he holds it in his body, soul and heart. He is constantly agonizing how he wishes things had turned out differently in his life.

Peace Rabe comes to Heart's Edge and breathes life and hope into the town, especially with Blake. He tries to stay clear of Peace. She is young, gorgeous and she is definitely hands off. But when the two of them meet, their chemistry is immediate and electric. Peace saw in Blake the sincerity, honesty and truth in him and never gave up on him.

This story had intrigue and a "whodunit" that had me guessing throughout the story. Nicole Snow once again writes another heartfelt passionate love story that leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy.

As always, I am in awe of Nicole Snow. How she is able to include the right amount of suspense and romance in a book just makes me so freaking happy! We have seen Blake in previous books in the Heart's Edge series, but this time he is front and center and WHAT A FREAKING MAN HE IS!!! I also liked a few name drops from previous stories that I have read by Snow- they always make me giddy to find- like my own little Easter egg (but for books, not a movie).

No Damaged Goods is a book that took my heart and still has not given it back. These men are fierce and protective and SO FREAKING HOT. The ladies are pretty darn awesome as well and people I would love to get to know just like the one in this book. All in all if you are looking for a smokin' hot story with some major mystery - No Damaged Goods is one that you should read ASAP!

PS: Thank you to Nicole Snow for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly! <3

No Damaged Goods is my first book by Nicole Snow and therefore my first introduction to the people of Heart's Edge, and it was a great introduction as this story had interesting and varied characters, drama, emotion and a romance that although extremely slow to happen was engaging to say the least.

And with an arsonist on the loose, the reappearance of a half-brother with lots of painful history, and a sixteen-year-old daughter angry at the world and especially her dad, this really was an enjoyable, angsty, character driven story, that easily kept me absorbed, particularly when the arsonist storyline came to the fore, and Blake finally got his act together.

Would recommend.

This was a good read. Peace is the person that likes to move around. However, while staying at Heart's Edge she meets Blake. They of course have chemistry but he is dealing with some issues. Thankfully in the end they are able to have their happy ending. Even if it almost didn't happen thanks to a crazy person.

3.5 Alpha Stars!

I'm not a fan of single dad or dead spouse tropes which could be the reason I don't like this one as much as the rest of the series, but it was still a really good book. Also, luckily, he wasn't still in love with the dead spouse as they were about to get a divorce before she died.

There was a lot of pushing from the H for about half the book that got on my nerves. After they got together I loved them and their relationship though, and I wish we had more time with them. I also wasn't expecting Blake to be as alpha as he was and I was living for it. In the previous book he was more of the sensitive but goofball one, and I kind of wish we got more of that in this too, instead of turning out to be the most serious one out of any of the heros, which I wasn't expecting. The heroine was also great too, but nothing too special. The best part of their relationship for me was the age gap, 17 years, which I also didn't expect, but I was living for it.

Overall this is a great low angst series. The action and plot drama is a bit over exaggerated, but I prefer that than unnecessary annoying drama such as with OW. So far Warren and Doc are still my favorite, but I cannot wait for Holt's story. His will definitely be different because technically he isn't part of the heros of the town, so I cant wait for his. Good book!

♥️🌼🔥MR. SILVER TONGUE NEEDS HIS BROCCOLI ♥️🌼🔥
NO DAMAGED GOODS is the latest addition to Nicole Snow’s Heart’s Edge Series, but it’s a complete standalone, so you don’t have to read the others to enjoy this one...Although the others are good books...♥️🌼🔥
Peace “Ms. Broccoli” Rabe is a beautiful, twenty five year old hippie child, a massage therapist, a loner and a wanderer, and she wanders into Heart’s Edge with her table and oils and moves into one of the cabins on the Charming Inn property and sets up shop for the winter...Sweet, kind and open to love and life, Peace is smart and an old soul, and when she meets Blake, she’s, basically, done.....if she can just make him see it...♥️🌼🔥
Blake “Mr. Silver Tongue” Silverton is a hot, forty two year old, widower, a wounded, war veteran, an on-air radio personality, a firefighter and one of the “heroes of Heart’s Edge” (whew!)...He is also the loving, mistake-making, single father of Andrea, a very normal teenage girl....When Blake sees Peace, he feels a spark, and she makes no secret she felt it, too, but she’s too young for him (says who?)....♥️🌼🔥
Peace notices Blake’s injury and talks him into letting her work her magic fingers ....and that spark just catches fire...So, when dangerous problems arise in Heart’s Edge, Blake moves Peace into his and Andrea’s home “for Peace’s protection”...yeah, we”ll go with that.....(Blake is in such denial)....He tries to fight both of their feelings, not only because he believes their age difference matters...(it doesn’t)...but, also, he knows she’s leaving when winter is over...and he can’t ask her to stay....(unless she really decides to leave).....♥️🌼🔥
I love how Peace is young and in love with life, how she plays no games and how she isn’t afraid to pursue who and what she wants....I love how she and Andrea, organically, bond (they are closer to the same age than she and Blake are)...I love how Blake makes mistakes to fatherhood like most normal good dads...but he keeps trying like most normal good dads......I love these characters and their chemistry, and I love how the other characters I already loved in Heart’s Edge, all played a part in this book... I love the twists and turns I didn’t see coming...To summarize....I love this new addition to the Heart’s Edge Series....And I didn’t even mention that cover!!!♥️🌼🔥

No Damaged Goods by Nicole Snow
Excuse the pun; but is there anything hotter than a fireman? No Damaged Goods by Nicole Snow takes us back to the town of Heart’s Edge and the good folks who live there. When I read the previous standalone books of the Heart’s Edge series, I wasn’t a big fan of Blake Silverton; well ladies and gentlemen that has changed. I LOVE Blake!!! Once again Ms. Snow I’m gonna ask why oh why can’t towns like Heart’s Edge and men like Blake Silverton really exist? Nicole Snow’s books are ones that I will always one click without even reading the blurbs. 5 burning-bright stars for No Damaged Goods by Nicole Snow.
Blake Silverton doesn’t believe that he’s a hero, even if the rest of the town does. Blake and his best friends have saved the town more times than they can count, but Blake just feels like it’s what is supposed to happen. Feeling broken, Blake hurts from the pain of a shrapnel wound he got in the service which makes it hard for him to do his jobs as fire chief, wielder and radio host. Blake is a widow and his sixteen-year-old daughter couldn’t be more embarrassed and humiliated by her popular dad and all the women that throw themselves at him. Not my first read by the author, and this is a 50/50 hit or miss for me type of author. Mostly it has been hits but some, it happens. That said, this was a in between for me, I really really loved the entire story, the characters as in hero is a firefighter, single dad, older...and the heroine was very sweet, enough needy and sassy. But something about the hero rubbed me the wrong way at times, maybe because I was expecting a older sexy handsome man but got more of a "younger feeling" type of character. It was very swoony, funny, lot's of danger it seems...a great read and again, I will keep reading this author because I just can't stop!

We all know Blake from the other reads, the man who is quick to joke and make others laugh, a man who we thought was a jokester, the fun guy, but that’s not all he is, he’s a man with demons from his past, a teenage daughter who acts out, a man who is broken...until he finds Peace...literally. Peace is a woman who comes to his small town and is a massage therapist who travels from city to city looking for her “home” and she finds it with Blake...or will she...if she doesn’t break down all his walls...he will never find peace.
A great read with a slow burn for these two as they navigate a surly teen, his brother and an arsonist who is targeting his friends and him. A read with steam, some suspense, and a slow burning ember between the two until it explodes. I liked these two and how when finally Blake comes around, he doesn’t fight it and the little to no drama between them. I also liked that there were no other women, jealousies or misunderstandings between them. The story flowed beautifully and I liked that even though Blake was much older than Peace, she had a maturity about her that erased the difference in years.

This was an audiobook read and the narration was spot on. Sometimes the male lead could be a little monotone but overall the mix of the two was just right. Generally I find the longer books drag when turned into audio but this one kept me listening and not tuning out.

The heroine is super sweet, intuitive and mature well beyond her twenty five years, so I let that wash past me and pretended she is older much like the hero! Her description of him showed just how much she was falling for him. She didn’t misunderstand or have any moments of wavering she was totally a fool for him which is a nice change to read. Someone who would take a risk and chase after the person they want.

The hero has issues. Many. Lots of baggage and grumpiness that made him a likable character. He is attracted to the heroine but completely convinced she is too young for him (yes) and too free. But obviously the tale is written to bring these two together and it would make me sit grinning at their will they won’t they antics.

I loved the authors language, writing, descriptions, characters and the added bonus of another underlying plot. I would recommend this book for anyone needing a light entertaining read.🙃

Title: No Damaged Goods
Author: Nicole Snow
Genre: Contemporary Suspense Romance
**RECEIVED ARC FOR HONEST REVIEW**
Nicole Snow has brought us back to Hearts Edge and the last of original heroes, Blake, burns up in a good way for his lady love.

Nicole Snow has created a world, a town, I wish I could find. Sure it's small with not much to do but there is so much heart and lots of heat to a woman smiling, if not laughing. Snow has such a way with words I laughed, cried, and tsked over the characters so much. I will say the only negative, I figured out the evil doer right off. It wasn't difficult. But otherwise this book rocked and rocked hard. Oh, one last thing...could the heroine not be soooo perfect? Seriously? The body, attitude, everything. Ugh. I know these books are fictional and fantasy but as a reader I kinda like putting myself into the story a little, and I am far from perfect. That's why I loved Ember and well Doc and his wolfish attitude in bed. Yummy. But Blake, wow. That man has stamina and leader of the pack written all over him. He totally is not the goofy guy from the other books. Wolf in sheep clothing. I so want to live in Hearts Edge.

‘Hero of Heart’s Edge’ is a title that doesn’t rest easily on the shoulders of Blake Silverton, the town’s stalwart, take-charge fire chief who insists he’s just doing his job. Peace Rabe is a pint-sized, free-spirited, massage therapist who recognizes Blake’s physical pain and offers to ease his suffering. But Blake’s got enough on his plate with a rebellious daughter, an infuriating relative and an angry arsonist to contend with. The last thing he needs is a feisty, determined young woman sticking her inquisitive nose and magical fingers into his business – or so he says.

I enjoyed the push and pull between Blake and Peace. Despite the hot chemistry, theirs was a slow dance to romance while Blake worked through his guilt and past regrets to heal his mind, his heart and finally his body. This is a highly entertaining romantic suspense that’s very well written with compelling and complex characters. The plot has some danger, violent situations, action, and mystery. There’s also plenty of drama and angst along with several extremely steamy encounters.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

What is not to love about Blake as we have his sexy side where he is a protector as evidenced by his current career as a firefighter and his previous military career and his sweet side when we see his interactions with his teenage daughter who he has raised since his wife passed away. When he gets the all that a woman’s van is on fire he didn’t expect her to light a fire in his heart as well.

Peace finds herself in town by chance rather than choice when her van becomes inoperable. She is a natural healer and when she sees the discomfort that Blake is in she offers him a massage and the rest is history.

As the chemistry between them escalates so does the danger. Will Blake be willing to open his heart to the possibility of love again or will Peace take her free-spirited lifestyle to a new town? It is always fun to revisit this town and this book is no exception.
