Kazuki Takahashi is my favorite manga writer/artist. His work on Yu-Gi-Oh! has had a huge influence on me growing up. I was excited to find out that he actually did some other work outside of the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe.

The story is pretty simple. It’s about a boy and his two friends meeting a dragon. The main character, Rosso, gets a deck of cards called Drump and he is able to see a dragon in another dimension.

He ends up having a card game “duel” with the main villain that wants to destroy the dragon. Rosso ends up winning the game and the dragon is freed and the main characters are sent back to their dimension.

This one-shot felt like a rip-off of Yu-Gi-Oh! and I was very disappointed with the art as well.

The characters were very forgettable.

I did like the medieval feel to the story.

Overall I give this a 3/5.
