Tris Abbott might not have to run from her ex anymore, but that doesn’t mean she’s safe. Being the Mystic while unclaimed and unmated leaves her vulnerable. When she learns her best friend is in trouble with the same coyotes her ex ran with, she knows she can’t hop in her Jeep and head back to Opal Pine without backup and a clear plan.
Good thing she knows some bear shifters.
But when their carefully crafted plan goes sideways, Tris must decide how far she’s willing to go to save her best friend and the clan she’s come to care for.
Jennifer Snyder lives in North Carolina where she spends most of her time writing New Adult and Young Adult Fiction, reading, and struggling to stay on top of housework. She is a tea lover with an obsession for Post-it notes and smooth writing pens. Jennifer lives with her husband and two children, who endure listening to songs that spur inspiration on repeat and tolerate her love for all paranormal, teenage-targeted TV shows.
I'm just loving this series. Most shifter books are about wolves, or a few jungle cats here and there. You don't see many about bears, and that makes this so fun! I love the characters, and I'm really invested in what happens next. Jennifer does a great job at leaving you on a cliffhanger, makes me crazy because I **need** to know what happens next! I will be waiting on pins and needles for the next installment in this fun series!
Captured by Jennifer Snyder a five-star read that will captivate your attention. This is number two in the Gem Creek Bears series and it is best to read them in order as this one picks up after number one and it looks like number three will pick up where this left off, if it doesn’t I maybe one very upset bear cub. Tris is slowly learning how to be the Mystic and everything that entails, but she is very vulnerable and doesn’t want to be rushed, she finally feels like she has something of her own and Ruby may not be much but that space is something she has craved for a long time. I like how the Bears are rallying round Tris, I know its in their best interest but still they give me the warm feels and I feel like they would rally round even if it wasn’t in their clans best interest unlike some other packs. This is a very thrilling and powerful story, you will adore Gem Creek camp grounds and it will make you want to get back to nature.
Wow, I could not put this book down until the very last word was read. It moves along at an amazing pace, which makes for a comfortable read. The characters are amazing and you cannot help but fall in love with them and no matter what you want to see them overcome everything in their way. The story will grab you and not let you go until the very last page is read. This book needs to be on your TBR list for 2020, no doubt about it.
Tris is now The Mystic and has magical healing powers. When Liam's brother gets badly injured Tris heals him. There is a connection between Tris and Liam but they do nothing about it yet. Ezra's people are after Tris to return her to their tribe. Then Ezra captures Tris's friend Penny. Great addition to this series.
I just finished this 2nd story of the gem creek bears. I want more Jennifer. It's really an exciting series so far, I do hope there's more coming from your magnificent mind!! Thanks for this series!!

Tris is slowly learning how to be the Mystic and everything that entails. She finally feels like she has something of her own. I like how the Bears are rallying round Tris, I know its in their best interest but still they give me all the feels.
I am looking forward to see where book three in the series will take us.
We have added a few more characters with some descriptions. Tris has accepted being the mystic, but still does not know how it works exactly. Her feelings for Liam are still a mystery, but for how long? Her friend has text her along with her mom. Can she handle talking to her mom yet? Her friend is going out to a party with Ezra? What will she do to stop it? Can she stop it? Now that she knows Ezra and his group are coyotes what will she do to save others from them? Will Liam help? What is his real feelings for her? I received a free copy for my honest review.
I loved this! its Fast pace and a super fun easy read! the angs, the thrills and gut wrenching scenes!! Ahh! i love the slow-burn chemistry with our leads and how its slowly but surely is coming tru! i need more! The opening introduction really struck a cord with me. I could relate and it touch me deeply. Jen you really know how to make me gasp towards the end! Now i need to patiently wait for book three. cant wait! Read this with my Kindle Unlimited.
When I first picked up the first book in the Gem Creek Bears series I was concerned that the series was going to be one novella after another with each book book being around 100 plus pages. Well, “Captured” the second book is the series basically proves my case. While I enjoyed the writing and the premise of this read I don’t like half finished books. Therefore, I have decided not to go on to the other books. I’m not paying $3.99 for one third of a book.
Favorite Quote: “There’s a trick to the door. If you jiggle the handle just right while pressing at a certain area midway down, it opens when it’s locked. It’s an old RV. Some things work and some don’t.” “Well, that’s a false sense of security,” I yawned. “You never needed security here. You were always safe. And you always will be.”
This story is definitely still good. Each character evolving just a little although their actions also don't surprise because they are true to who they have been established from the beginning. And the ending is a cliffy. Glad the next one is out
Captured was a slow burn building up for the action at the end. It lead and played out the way I knew it was going to. Doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it, we got to see what the sickness for the shifters truly was. Watched Tris use her powers and the affects it has in doing so. We also got to see more of the build up of the romance going on between Tris and Liam. Though I rolled my eyes everytime they mentioned they felt electricity flowing through them when they touched.
Overall a fast read that kept me interested until the end! I'm looking forward to the next book and how everything works out for Tris and the gang.
