**I received this from NetGalley for an honest review. **

First I have to say this is my first time reviewing Manga. I've read many in my past but have never sat down to review the intricacies of one. I have not read the first two in this set and appreciated the author giving the reader a narrative explaining where Zero's last journey took him.

The artwork was very well done and the scenes are easy to follow. With that said, reader's should be aware this is definitely something a younger kid would enjoy. Very PG in nature to the point I caught myself mentally singing the elf's song in my own made up tune.

I did get lost in the plot at first and had to reread a few pages. What I imagined would be the unveiling of an evil elf boss to Santa Claus turned out not to be that. i do think that would've been a neat twist though. Props to the creator for ending on a cliffhanger; as an adult I found myself looking for the release date of the next installment.

"When Jack Skellington's faithful pet Zero gets lost, the ghost pup must get the help of the residents of Christmas Town to find his way back. With Halloween plans on hold while Jack mounts a search, will they be reunited in time to save both holidays? Explore the magical realms of Halloween Town and Christmas Town through the eyes of Zero as he tries to find his way home in an unfamiliar world. This is volume 3 of the series."

I loved spending more time in Christmas Town! This book combined issues #10-14 all in one book which was nice. Mrs. Claus and the reindeer also made a presence!

The Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero's Journey Book Three was a delightful continuation of the comic picking up after Zero, Lock, Shock, and Barrel tumble into Santa's workshop.

The illustration style in these comics is quite similar to the movie which I feel is an excellent choice by the creators. It almost makes you feel like you're reading a continuation of the movie which I enjoyed as I love the movie. This entire volume takes place in Santa's workshop and thus the art is quite colorful. I liked that the little bit of Santa's workshop we saw in the movie was expanded upon in the comic. The new elements in the comic fit perfectly with the ones from the movie.

This volume picks up at the cliffhanger in the last volume where Zero, Lock, Shock, and Barrel fall into a hole and end up in Santa's workshop. While there, they encounter the elves preparing for Christmas including elf management who is quite harsh on the elves. Lock, Shock, and Barrel find themselves drawn under the elf manager's smell and begin making toys in the workshop. Zero encounters Santa and begins to play with him which was absolutely delightful. The book ends somewhat on a cliffhanger after an encounter between Zero and Rudolph leads to a fire.

Overall I really enjoyed The Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero's Journey Book Three and will definitely be picking up the next volume soon. I highly recommend this comic to fans of the movie.

I liked seeing the darker parts of Christmas town and seeing Santa try to make nice with Lock, Shock, Barrel, and Zero despite everything.

Super cute art,and these are all in color too. Zero's expressions are great as well. There is still a good bit of darkness as well.

*~.Book Analysis.~*
Just remembering that those were my impressions and opinion as a reader :)

PROS
It's always nice to find new Disney contents to read, specially on the Comic Book section. I love TNBC and I knew I had to read this story as soon as I saw it. I loved the art, illustrations and the fact that it was in colors and not black and white.

CONS
Unfortunately, I started at volume three and the story feels a little shallow. Also, it was such a short volume, I don't really understand why dividing the story in so many volumes.

COVER ANALYSIS
The cover was what attracted me to read this book, as it was too cute!

RECOMMENDED FOR
Disney, Comics and Short Book lovers!

As a woman who is OBSESSED with anything Nightmare Before Christmas related, this was absolutely adorable. I absolutely love Tim Burton's classic. It's a timeless film that is beloved by many for years and transcends generations. This manga edition of Zero's adventures just adds to the love I have for the cast of characters to come from the Nightmare Before Christmas world. The art is beautiful and holds true to Tim Burton's iconic style. I feel as if the manga are clearly directed at the younger generation, but can also be enjoyed by those of us that grew up watching the film throughout our childhood (obsessively in my case!).

This is my first time reading manga and I was grateful for the “instructional” portion at the beginning.
I Love all things Nightmare Before Christmas and Zero in particular, so this was fantastic.
I enjoyed the graphics and art section in the back as well.

I am an avid Disney fan. I love Nightmare Before Christmas! And Zero is my absolute favorite! In this delightful graphic novel. Zero is off on adventures! After a game of fetch Jack's rib bone goes awry, Zero finds himself in Christmas Town. There, he meets an elves, a helpful owl, and other Chirstmasy characters. He finds his way even to Mrs. Claus! But Zero can never stay away from Jack for long. Will he make it back in time to help Jack plan out his next epic Halloween plan?

The art: adorable! Zero is the cutest. I also loved all the art. It was totally Disney and I was there for it.

If you love Disney and Nightmare Before Christmas, you'll love this graphic novel!

-3 stars. cute. definitely childrens book.

contains issues 10-14.

Lock Shock and Barrel and Zero fall through a hole into santas workshop with the elves. there is a bad man in charge hwo forces the kids to work as elves. Zero finds santa and santa frees them. he lets Zero light the star on the tree but a jealous reindeer knocks him away and starts a fire.

this book doesn't end the story. theres supposed to be a book # 4 but my library didn't have it. i found a black and white manga copy through interlibrary loan that contains all the issues 00 through 18, and put that on hold so i can finish the series.

Enjoyed Book 3 more than the previous one, also I find it entertaining how Christmas Town can have such darkness to it, makes you ponder a few things.

We do get more of the mischievous Lock, Shock, and Barrel plus the adorable Zero, Santa Claus, and a dark factory boss. Plus, that jealous reindeer damn.

Another that ends on a cliffhanger, hopefully, the next one will finally reunite Jack and Zero.

Art style is wonderful and the writing is great, although am growing used to the rhyme of the people of Christmas Town I feel like it fits right in.

The third in this comics collection series, Christmas Town is nearly a dystopia in a book that barely features iconic characters like Jack Skellington and instead focuses entirely on his trusted companion dog Zero. One problem I have with the story is that each graphic novel does not attempt to have a self-contained story, but it's another interesting installment in the series.

In part 3 of this story, Zero meets up with Lock, Shock, and Barrel, and together they sneak into the toy factory, causing trouble wherever they go. When the foreman makes the trick-or-treaters into senseless drones along with the elves, it's up to Zero to save them.

This is just getting ridiculous.

Nice art, cute story. It's nice getting to see some of the lesser-used characters from the movie getting to star in a story of their own. Also, Christmas Town is a little creepy, I like it!

Zero is still missing, Jack has sent Boogie's Boys to find him but now wants to know where his dog is. Sally is supporting him but knows he misses his best friend. In the meantime in Christmas Town, the trick or treaters are causing problems of their own.

Jack is on the case and Zero and the gang have stumbled into Santa’s workshop. The illustrations in this volume are fantastic. Wasn’t expecting the dark elf twist though! And could there be a hope of redemption for Lock, Shock and Barrel? This was another adorable volume of Zero’s Journey.
