Tuscany Nights #1

One Month Only

I’m a billionaire, I’m a chaser, I’m a wolf. I worked too hard to get where I am now, so I don’t need any distractions, especially the one called LOVE.

Don't get me wrong, I love and enjoy sex, but all I need to do to have a fuck is to show a woman my Amex Black Card and let her hear my Italian accent and here we go: a one-night stand guaranteed.

Everything worked just fine for me until a chance meeting with her —Angelica Sorreno — when she came back into my life. She is like a strong, terrifying tsunami that blows everything in its way.

She asked me for help and I agreed, but only because we were friends, and not because I used to have feelings for her.

It’s just that...

I’ve made a mistake, a huge one: I’ve tasted her and she happened to have the most delicious pussy I've ever tried.

Now I don’t think I can let her go that easily.

ALL MY REVIEWS CAN BE FOUND ON MY BLOG: ABSTRACT BOOKS

'One Month Only' is the first part of the 'Tuscany Nights' series written by Kate J. Blake. Told in dual perspectives, this book was an amazing friends to lovers trope!

This was the first book that I have read by this author and I am a woman obsessed! I absolutely loved Angelica and Riccardo's story and can't wait to see them more.

Angelica and Riccardo have been friends for a long time and Now they are meeting after a lot of years. Now Riccardo is the hotshot CEO of a famous company. Angelica's father's company might be in danger and Riccardo is her only hope for saving that company.

Both of them have this intense chemistry that you can feel from the moment you read this book! That chemistry drove me so crazy! Both of them try to keep things platonic , but thay chemistry could be denied for only so long. Soon they give into their feelings and find solace in each other.

They have a lot of ups and downs and this book ends in a cliffhanger!!! I just can't wait for the next book. These two characters are amazing and I enjoyed every second I spent with them. This book is recommended to all the dark-erotic romance lovers out there!

This is such a good and steamy easy read hat deals with Angelica and Riccardo. They have known each other for years but since the last time she saw Riccardo he has grown into this amazingly handsome man and CEO that may be her only hope in saving her father’s company. They have an intense chemistry that is tangible, and it keeps you intrigued throughout this book. This was a first time I have read a book by this author and this does end on a cliffhanger that makes crave more.

3.5 Tuscany Night Stars

Ricardo and Angi were childhood friends but have lost touch with one another since he's been living in London for the last fourteen years while she is still in their hometown of Tuscany. Ricardo has returned home for a month because his mother's health has declined and he would like to be near her while she recovers, he didn't anticipate spending most of his time with his teenage crush.

Angi's father is looking to sell their business but she's opposed to the idea so she asks Ricardo for his help since he turned his family's business into an extremely profitable one.

I initially had a hard time connecting with the characters for whatever reason, I really cannot pinpoint why but it did turn around and I began enjoying the story....and then we're left with a cliffhanger and to be honest I am truly debating with myself right now on whether or not I am going to dive into the next book or move onto something else.

I would recommend this book to those that enjoy Steamy New Adult Romances, Romances that take place in Italy, or Childhood friends to Lovers Romances.

Happy Reading!!!

Light and entertaining. For some light-hearted and sensual escapism, this romance hits the mark.

The fact that the couple is Italian and the setting is in FLorence made my heart flutter with romanticism. Ricardo is back from London with success and good looks like an expensive perfume around him. He has expanded his father's wine business like a pro, and now is in the position to help an old acquaintance. Excitingly enough, it's a beautiful woman whom he used to pine over as a teen. So many regrets and stolen desires there!

Ricardo and Angelica start an easy interaction as they try to salvage her father's company. I liked to know the ins and outs of their jobs and the people they work with. Also, wines and food decorate some lovely scenes where the characters get to know each other. The atmosphere is playful and fast, so is the attraction that's growing between them. As the business plans progress, there comes a passionate scene that really made the engines roar! Loved it so much.

As any story worth its salt, a little drama pops up to shake things for the new lovers. It was well planted and it cut the evolution of the relationship in just the right moment to fret. It's a short book with a swift plot and appealing scenarios. So, yes, I want to read more to see what happens to this gorgeous Italian couple and their exciting romance.

One Month Only is the first book in the Tuscany Night series by K.J. Blake. The story focuses on the characters Angelica and Ricardo. Ricardo is a wealthy CEO who is taking a break from his work to look after his sick mother. Enter Angelica who needs help with her father’s company. What makes this story relatable is the fact that Ricardo and Angie are old friends so there is a genuine connection between the two as well as red hot chemistry.

This book is an easy a steamy read which is made all the better because the characters have such a connection and the drama is more ‘real life’ drama than anything that is too out there. There are some really good steamy scenes, but OMG there is a cliff-hanger! So, you’ll have to wait for the next part to see what happens. This book is the debut for new author K.J. Blake and she should totally be on your ‘must read’ list!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review 😊

One Month Only & One Month More are book one & two of the Tuscany Nights Series Trilogy (book 3 coming out soon)
I read these two over the weekend and it was such a fun read , light and entertaining but hits the mark. The setting is in Florence and both Angie & Ricardo are Italian and that made my heart flutter with romanticism.
This books are an easy steamy read , full of swoon-worthy moments , as you progress with the story and you see the couple opening up more to each other , they have such a deep connection that i loved.

I've just finished reading the second book and suffice to say that this is probably going to be at least a trilogy.

This is the first book of the Tuscany Night series. It's a childhood friend to lovers romance.

Angie and Ricardo were childhood friends and lost touch over years but was thrust into each other because of a bad circumstance. Plus, their parents remain close friends, so I guess no matter how long they were estranged, sooner or later they'll bump into each other.

To be honest it started a little slow for me but it picked up a couple of chapters in.

I'm not really a fan of insta-love or a fast-paced love affair, but since Ricardo was already half in love with Angie, I get it.

I kept on thinking about Michele Morrone as Ricardo... *sigh*

This book is part of an interrelated series and should be read accordingly.

It's sweet and sexy, with dash of angst.

This is the first book by this author, and I was impressed. Ricardo and Angelica went to school together, he had a huge crush on her, but she thought he had a crush on her sister. That’s a big no. They were such great friends when they were younger, but she started dating someone else, and he went away to college and cut all contact with her. Her father’s company isn’t doing well, so she and her dad meet he and his father.

This was a safe read. Book 1 of 3, so it leaves it with a bit of a cliffhanger. I adored Ricardo, Angelica was a bit spoiled, but he more than made up for her. These two had good chemistry, and were hot af when they came together. Really good first book for this author.

Thank you to the author for providing me the ARC for an honest review.

Before I start on that, I'd like to congratulate Kate Blake on her debut novel. Being a writer myself, I know the kind of hard work and sleepless nights that go into making this literary baby.

Coming to the book, One Month Only is the story of Ricardo and Angie. I really like that fact that we have a dual POV that let's you in on what's going on in the minds of our MCs. There was hot chemistry between them, the story line was great and based in Tuscany giving the reader a tour of the beautiful place right from the comfort of the living room.

Although I would have liked the MC's to have more depth in terms of their feelings and would have preferred to have acted a bit more mature considering their age and the ending could have been stretched out in terms of the drama rather than end so suddenly, it didn't stop me from reading it in one sitting.

One Month Only was short, lighthearted and sweet with a cliffhanger that has me reaching towards the sequel.

This book series is a fast paced second chance romance, told from both POV.

Angelica is trying to save her family business when an old family friend steps in to help. Riccardo has been in love with Angelica since they were children, however she was never aware.

The chemistry between these two was jumping off the pages from the begining. This book series was a hot, steamy easy read. It's light hearted and the characters are easy to fall in love with. And whats not hot about a billionaire hot Italian 😍.

This book series really hit the spot after being in a bit of a reading slump. Definately recommend for some light hearted, sexy fun.

Wow, this book is amazing!

Angie's family business is failing. In order to save it, Angie's father enlists the help of his friend and his son, Ricardo. Ricardo is the CEO of an extremely successful business and Angie's former BFF! While trying to help Angie save the business, Ricardo needs a favour in return. Help him save face in front of his ill mother who really wants to see him dating, his workaholic ways have not gone unnoticed by his mother. As these two friends rekindle their friendship, sparks fly and old feelings resurfaces.

This book can only be described as CAPTIVATING! I honestly have no idea where the day went I was so stuck in this book. Sorry responsibilities. I will say when I looked at the synopsis of this book and the cover I thought this book is going to be steamy with an arrogant, womanizer CEO however I was so unbelievably wrong! Ricardo is a sweet, charming, and all-around gentleman! He is the boy next boy turned CEO! I loved him! I loved how determined and strong Angie is as a character, she has goals and her passion for her work is amazing to read.
I loved the pace of this book, it was a quick read and I would definitely re-read! The only reason this book did not get a full 5-star review was in relation to the ending. It ends in a cliffhanger and that is one of my pet peeves within a series. That being said I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read book number 2.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This story starts off on quite a sad note in all honesty. Based in Italy, Ricardo comes home from London for a single month whilst his mother recovers and leaves his Winery business in the hands of his second in command, Paul. Ricardo is your typical cocky, alpha self-made billionaire with an extremely large winery company and rarely takes time off work. He is delicious in every way, but in some serious denial when it comes to commitment.
-
Then we meet Angie, who is happily alone but desperately in need of her happily ever after. She is hit with some harsh news about her fathers company and is on a mission to find a way to solve all the problems. Whether she can solve these problems, is down to how Ricardo feels. Ricardo & Angie are reconnected after being old school friends and slowly get closer. It's more of a second chance romance for Ricardo.
-
This author is a first timer for me and is a really good one at that! This book had a lot of sexual tension, a good few steamy scenes and although it ends with a cliffhanger, I didn't have an overload of questions. The plot played out well, there is a secondary story of the saving of the company with the ultimate romance being the main story which was different, caused no confusion. I can't wait to read book number 2, I'm hoping we see more of Angie's fiery side and maybe Ricardo will see that not all commitment is bad!😍

Congratulations to Kate J. Blake on this amazing debut novel.

One Month Only is dual POV giving great insight into the main characters' heads and feelings.

The story builds up, it sizzles then explodes then ends on a cliffhanger...now I want more.

⛔SOME SPOILERS⛔

Ricardo is a successful Italian family business man, he's lived in London for over a decade, his mom's sick so he's back in his hometown for one month.

His mother wants him married with children, but he's a one-nighter man, will that all change when he walks back into Angie's life, he loved her when they were teenagers, but she was oblivious, will trying to help save her family's business from going under and making a deal with her backfire on him?

Angie will do anything for her dad and the family business, she's a people-pleaser, her dad wants to sell but she doesn't want to lose the job she loves. When Ricardo offers to help find a solution, on one condition, she has to pretend to date him to please his mother, he's sexy, and she's willing to help, so it's a no-brainer for her. How can she say no?

Will this be the deal if a lifetime for them both?

Or will everything go south and down the pan?

A debut novel for this author and a great one at that. This is the first in the Tuscany Nights series that follows the story of Ricardo and Angie; it is told from both perspectives.

The story begins with Angie - a young woman determined to save the family’s company by going to a business dinner with her father, in the hope that their dinner companion might be able to help get their business out of financial trouble. The dinner is with her father’s friend and his son, Ricardo (her ex best friend). In order to persuade Ricardo to help, she has to agree to be his pretend girlfriend for his ill mother’s sake, as she wants her son to work less and date more.

Angie agrees to Ricardo’s terms and as their friendship is rekindled, hidden secrets are revealed and their chemistry becomes off the chart.

Please don’t judge this book by the cover - it isn’t one of those smutty types without a storyline or with the cliched arrogant male protagonist - this is more than that. Yes, it’s steamy in places, but there is a storyline.

The cliffhanger has you hankering for more! Don’t read this one, if you’re not prepared to start the next one right away!

A really enjoyable read!

This was a quick easy contemporary romance by a new author ! She gifted me a copy of this for my review . The characters were very likable and it was easy to fall into a “one sitting “ read zone. The author got me with an unexpected turn at the very end, wishing for another chapter !

New to me author Kate J. Blake has delivered an astounding read with One Month Only. She has brought everything to the table in this billionaire romance and I am no doubt am wanting more.

When billionaire Ricardo wants, he wants fierce and there’s nothing that can stand in his way. That is until Angelica Sorreno is sitting in wait. When asked to help, he finds it an offer he can’t refuse - old friends are hard to deny it seems.
Will this deal they’ve struck end up reigniting the affection he once held for her or will he destroy everything in his path?

I was so excited when I started reading this book. I can’t help but love a good steamy romance. Falling for Ricardo and Angie isn’t hard and their flirty banter is quite entertaining at times.
If you like a contemporary billionaire romance, this will be up your alley.
I recommend this.

What a magnificent debut from Kate J Blake! This might be a debut book, but Kate writes like a seasoned romance author, in her prime! This is the story of Angie & Ricardo, and has all the makings of a bestselling steamy romance. It's spicy, it's got an alpha billionaire hero, AND GOD HELP ME, I HATE CLIFFHANGERS BUT I LOVED THIS CLIFFHANGER. Only one other author has been able to do this to me before, and that a debut author managed to accomplish this feat...You have to fangirl. I absolutely cannot wait to read book 2 so Kate you better release it quickly! I need to know what happens with Angie & Ricardo next, I NEED!

And guys, say hello to your new book boyfriend, Ricardo Brandini. Holy moly, he gave me some...um...feels XD

A gorgeous debut, moreish, seasoned, well crafted. Your new rising star name in romance is here. Do I need to say highly recommended?

Thank you to the author, Kate J. Blake, for kindly sending me a copy of One Month Only.

The MC, Angie, is trying to save the family business and in turn asks for some help from an old friend, Ricardo. The chemistry between these characters is immediate! Being friends since childhood allows for the connection to feel genuine and not rushed for such a short read. The angst in this was REAL! When the steamy scenes finally happened, they were sooo goood! 🔥

It does have some very very minor dirty talk and minimal cursing, but I didn't feel that it took away from the story.

My only problem with this book is… it's too short!!! I need more stat!!

Highly recommend for a quick romance fix! 4.5/5 ⭐

One Night Only by Kate. J. Blake is the first book in the Tuscany Nights trilogy, and I have to say, you connect with the characters a lot more than you'd think because they have been made so humane.
Ricardo and Angie's hot chemistry has sparks flying everywhere. It's a quick, easy yet intriguing, steamy read that will satisfy your cravings until it makes you want the next book.
The real life situations, the wild attraction and the connection between this CEO and a woman who wants to save her father's company is beautiful.
Kate has written an amazing debut novel and I cannot wait to read the more!

Hot, romantic, witty, great characters! One Month Only was such a fun read! Taking a chance on a new author is always a gamble but Kate J. Blake killed it! Ricardo reminds me of the amazing Italian heroes of a Harlequin Romance novel. I love those books, and this took me right back. I instantly fell in love with Ricardo but also with Angie! With her drive to save the family business she strikes a deal with an old friend, Ricardo, and quickly they both see their connection is more than just friendship. I really did love this book, I read it in one sitting I couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait for book 2!! Highly recommend!

One Month Only is the first book in the Tuscany Nights series.

I adored this book - everything from the storyline to the characters drew me in and kept me wanting more.

The connection between Ricardo and Angie was palpable, so steamy and perhaps a little dreamy because come on, who wouldn't want a hot Italian billionaire to swoon over (and Richardo is totally swoonworthy).

This book was a fairly quick read for me which I loved - it wasn't too short nor was it drawn out - Kate J. Blake knew exactly where to leave you hanging and craving more and girl I'm definitely craving more! I can't wait to get my hands on Book 2!

One Month Only is Kate J Blake's debut novel. She did an amazing job creating this world with well developed characters. I found it to be a fun and quick read.

Angie is a strong, independent woman who is looking for ways to keep her father from selling their family business. Ricardo is a family friend, who Angie grew up with. She turns to Ricardo for to help her save the family business.

There is a lot of steamy parts and you are left with one hell of a cliff hanger. I would love to see where this story goes.

I loved Angie and Ricardo. They each have there own version of how things were in the past and both of them didn’t really know what the other one was thinking. I loved reading about how Ricardo was willing to try and help Angie fix her failing company and how even after all this time how he feels about her hasn’t changed one bit. This was a sweet book that had a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. I can not wait to read the next book.

Thank you so much to the author for sending me an arc in exchange of an honest review.

This one was a very easy and quick read. Both our main characters were very driven and charming. The plot was also interesting .Although it was short book it had enough substance and character development. .The chemistry was there between the characters but this book lacked that fire .This ended on a cliffhanger and I would love to continue this series . .

A love story in Italy? Where do I sign? Angie and Ricardo are secretly in love with each other since childhood. They were friends and he have always been there for her while she believes that he was in love with her sister. Now they meet again and there is still desire, lust, maybe love? And now I can wait to read the rest of the series!
