MeredithThat spilled coffee was not my fault! That jerk knocked it over himself and ruined my day. Not the other way around. I was supposed to be celebrating my graduation while saying goodbye to my workmates when that stuck-up suit got in the way and had the audacity to blame me. I can’t stop fuming over it. I don’t care how well that suit molded to his broad shoulders, or how chiseled his jaw is. That behavior was unwarranted. He was acting no better than the kindergarteners I’ll be teaching. Some people are just too good looking for their own good, and I kinda hate that I noticed that…TateSure, the coffee thing was my fault, and I acted like a grouch when I should have been offering to clean it up. But I was caught off guard, and I’m never caught off guard. One minute, I was rushing through my day, and the next, I was spellbound by the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. I can’t forget her. I know she’s too young, but my heart and soul already belong to her. The girl owns me and she doesn’t even know it. I have to find her…Fate brings Tate face to face with temptation. Now, he’ll need to stop fighting the inevitable and starting fighting to prove to his girl that he isn’t the big jerk she first saw.

Short and sweet with little steam.

Tate sees the woman if his dreams.. to bad someone tells him shes 17 so he snaps at her trying to put some distance between them. But he finds out that's a lie she is not 17 and a family friends sister. Now that little problem is out of the way Tate is making his moves on Meredith, kidnapping her from the party and laying down his feelings for his girl. But he has to teach some jerk not to come between him and his woman.

Seems like we have few couples or couple next I wanna see Amy and Dalton.. he is already getting hot and bothered by her.

No ow drama slight om drama, no cheating, drama, secondary chara, sexy times, virgin gal no manwhores

Good

This was an enjoyable read. Tate walks into a coffee shop and is struck dumb when he sees the woman he is going to make his wife. His attitude changes when he is informed by another employee that she is only 17. With this news he becomes a complete jerk and is harsh to the girl, crushing her. Meredith was also instantly smitten when Tate walked into the shop. He crushes her heart when he yells at her when he squeezes his coffee cup to hard and storms out. Fate intervenes when they are reunited at her college graduation party. Tate learns she is actually 23 and he is angry that he was lied to and lost precious time with his woman. He wastes no time at all and sets out to claim Meredith and make her his wife.

Safety and Spoilers
Completely safe. No ow drama, an employee at h’s work lies to H about her age and also tries to accost her later causing her to fall and slightly hurt herself. Not much was mentioned about the H’s past and h was a virgin. No abuse.

Good read

This was a good read. But Tate, that man was way over the top teetering into almost crazy. But despite that I did like him. Meredith easygoing, just going with the flow.

Tate sees his future wife at a coffee shop but after a jerk tells him she’s underage well he becomes mr ceo jerk. When his friends convince him to go to a graduation party for one of their sisters graduating college he reluctantly goes. When he finds out that his future wife Meredith is the graduate he resorts to kidnapping her. I loved this book so much! Loni does a great job adding humor into her characters. They are so alpha it’s hilarious. I hope we get books on his brothers. The epilogues were great too. I highly highly recommend!!

Tate + Meredith

✔ Friend's sister
✔ Insta-love
✔ Dual POV
✔ HEA

Umm.. There's something about this book that was making it kinda unrealistic. I mean insta-love supposed to be unrealistic and all, but this book was way beyond that. Sheesh! Maybe it's the writing style. Whatever! I thought it was gonna be an office romance or something. But it was just a stupid and silly plot that was making me cringe. And WTF? The way Tate was raging like a bull because of that weasel who wanted Meredith, I thought he's gonna at least throw a punch. But all those rage ended up in warnings. Nothing else. Or I might have skipped the part when he actually threw a punch or two? Nah, that's highly unlikely. Why's Meredith calling Tate 'Bennett Boys'? They didn't even have any boys. Ugh! This book needed to get some facts right. It was just a meh. Couldn't even say I liked anything.

“The first time I saw you, I knew you were the one. You reached right into my chest and stole my heart.”

Loved this story so hard. I enjoy watching the H chase the h so very much. Love it when the h doesn't give in right away and makes him work for her.
-virgin h, no details on H's past
-dual POV
-no cheating or abuse
-safe insta-love
-epilogue 3 years
I'm enjoying this series so very much. Can't wait for the next.

I tried, I REALLY TRIED. But I failed to continually read this one. He was being an asshole just because he thought she wasn’t legal for him to claim??

When h had a really great part time job, and he went to the coffee store, but HE mistakenly get hot liquid gushed out of his hand. BECAUSE HE SQUEEZED IT FUUUUUCKING HARD. And see what he said to h:

Let’s read what he has done:

I grab the cup from her hand, and in the process squeeze it a little too hard. As hot liquid gushes out all over my hand, words that would peel paint spew from my lips.

The implement of my torture runs around the counter and grabs my hand to inspect the damage. As her soft hands are running over my skin, I can’t control my harsh words. “Look, I can take care of it myself.”

Her worried eyes meet mine as she shakes her head. “Oh no. Let me get some ice for your hand.”

Knowing I need to get the hell out of here before I embarrass “Do your job next time and let me worry about my hand. If you’d put the damn top on right, I wouldn’t have gotten a fist full of hot coffee.”

Not to mention she FUCKING lost her favourite part time job because of his asshole behaviour. Hadn’t he thought what might happened to a girl when things comes like this??? It’s all his DAMN FAULT.

If it was the real life story, a woman lost her job because of an asshole like this, shouldn’t she slap this jerk’s face heavily???

And then one week later, he saw her in his best friend’s house knowing h was his best friend’s sister, and realized h was already LEGAL, let’s read what the FUCK he had done:

“Don’t you ever fucking touch her again.”

Shock holds everyone still except Dylan, who rushes over. “Tate, what the fuck?”

I ignore my best friend and throw Meredith over my shoulder. I’m heading for the door when Reid Maxwell grabs me. “What the fuck, man? That’s my sister.”

When I turn around, I see the all the guests are standing next to Reid, shocked by my outburst and kidnapping attempt. Not ready to explain everything in front of her entire family, I decide to give the bare minimum. “Well, she’s my woman so back the fuck off.”

Reid doesn’t listen to me and steps forward to look right in my eyes. “Not happening. Put my sister down and we can discuss this like normal humans.”

Oh, yes, he fucking kidnapped her in front of the fucking guests after being an asshole to her.

What made it worse, h forgave him just that easy?? And told him age gap wasn’t an issue for her.

???? REALLY?????

Such a doormat.

I FUUUUUUUCKING HÂTE THE HERO OF THIS BOOK!!!!! this wasn’t romantic AT ALLLLLLLL.🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

NO. Just NO!

I don't know if it was always the case and I never paid attention or were these OTT romances always so. . .bad??? I mean there was a time when I just couldn't get enough of them, stories like this one, others penned by Alexa Riley, Jessa Kane and a host of other authors (whose names I have forgotten) were in heavy rotation for me. I just ate them up.

But I'll be 42 in April of this year and I find that at my age I don't find these stories sexy as much as I find them to be ridiculous, problematic and often, VERY poorly written misogynistic drivel. I've got waaaaaay too many books on my backlog to waste my time with such frivolity--particularly since it isn't even remotely entertaining as it was at one time--so this is one I had to DNF at 37%.

The hero sees the heroine literally ONE time in a coffee shop, decides she is the love of his life/mother of his future children (he was refering to her as "my girl" in his mind before they'd ever had an actual conversation), and then treats her like TRASH when he is told she is only 17 years old. The bit about her age ends up being total subterfuge laid down by a co-worker who likely wanted the heroine for himself-- am I to assume this poor girl unwittingly has some disorder that causes magical, mind-altering fairy dust to waft out of her nether-regions? That could be a feasible explanation for why all these men act so STUPID in her presence.

Anyway, some time later, the hero is invited to a college graduation party which turns out to be HER party so the truth of her age is revealed and he proceeds to walk up to her, throw her over his shoulder and KIDNAP her--in front of her older brother and all her guests--so they can "talk" and he can explain to her how she belongs to him. I was just done at that point. No sense in continuing any further with that bullshit when I know it will only continue to piss me off.

No way in HELL is an older brother just gonna let some random dude pick his sister up and haul her out of a party without some fists flying. Ain't nobody got time for this crap. Now I've got to go mark all the other Loni Ree books I've downloaded in the last few months as "don't get fooled" so I don't accidentally try to read another one. . .

Tate Bennett is in need of a better start to his day. His coffee pot wasn't working and he needed some much needed caffiene infusion. On his way in to work, he stopped into a coffee shop and was struck dumb. Before him stood "his one". Unfortunately, he gets his dreams dashed rather quickly and even more unfortunately, he stuck his foot in his mouth and he gets called "Mr. CEO jerk". Tate stomps off and leaves the stunned beauty behind. Meredith Maxwell fell for the CEO on first sight, but his attitude left a lot to be desired. Her job was the same way, thankfully, she would be quitting soon. She went to a party thrown by her brother Reid and his wife Chloe (from Professor Maxwell) for her graduation. There, she runs into Tate again. Their second meeting is more along the lines they both wanted. The two have one hurdle left to get over to continue forward in their relationship.
Mr. CEO Jerk is another instalove, fast read and great book by Loni Ree. I love how we get to see previous characters of Loni's in her books. You get the main characters' world and still get additional information on some of my favorite characters. This is a great addition to Loni Ree's world.

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

Mr. CEO Jerk is such a sizzling hot romance that made me giggle, sigh in a big way and turned my heart into utter mush!

Loni Ree didn't fail me yet with her latest release. Mr. CEO Jerk made my heart sing for joy and had me moaning out loud. Tate is dreamy and sexy and 100% alpha and I LOOOOOVED him. And Meredith is such a strong force to be reckoned with with her fiery and yet vulnerable spirit and how she clashes with Tate just makes the blood pump strongly through my veins. I could feel the fireworks coming off these two from the first meet and things just got stronger and better on the next one which changed EVERYTHING. This was such a fantastic read!

MR. CEO Jerk gets a MUSHY AND STEAMY FIVE SUPER AMAZING STARS!

First things first; I love the cover of this book!
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline is enjoyable. Tate wasn’t looking for love but he soon found it. Unbeknownst to him, his soul mate is one of his best friends little sister.
The chemistry between Tate and Meredith is clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I liked how possessive Tate was of Meredith.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

It was a cute story but could use an editor. There are some missing or incorrect words that disrupt the story and some parts were difficult to understand. They just needed to be rewritten in a clearer way. I shouldn’t have to read a paragraph 3 times to figure out what the author is trying to say. Also, grabbing someone you’ve literally talked to once and throwing them over your shoulder and making them miss their graduation party because you need to claim them is a little more wack-a-do than sexy but maybe that’s just me.

I liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable for the most part. The characters were likable with the exception of Toby and his father. I was definitely hoping for them to get some comeuppance for their behavior but Tate handled it well. The way Tate got his nickname was both funny and sad. His reaction when he found out the truth cracked me up. Meredith took Tate's reaction well and remained pretty calm. Meredith wanted to take things slow and Tate was ok with that which was awesome. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book.

Received as an ARC for an honest review.
When Tate first sees Meredith behind the coffee shop counter, he knows that she is the one. A misunderstanding leads Tate to believe that she is too young for him. He turns into a jerk due to not knowing how to handle that she is too young and he can't have her. When the misunderstanding is cleared up, he waste no time in clearing it up and making her his. He is very protective and caring towards her. Good story.

I enjoy this short but steamy romance between Tate and Meredith. Tate was like caveman when he first laid eyes on Meredith in the coffee shop and then at then at her graduation party. His strong personality was what drew Meredith towards him and allowed him to control their relationship until he know she loved him and wanted what he did in the end. Tate made me laugh at times, what a strong will man!
