This is a rather silly novella about an Irish mobster who falls in Insta 💘love with his maid on the first day of her employment.
Some of the language and descriptions used in this very ADULT story are extremely crude and rude. There is no romance or finesse in this book. There is very little story except as a set up to each "encounter".
It is what it is. I personally don't find this type of writing a turn on or even interesting. Thankfully it was a very short read. My rating reflects the quality of the writing and story.

When he sees Lucy the first thing he thinks is "The Lord helps those who help themselves. And I spy something Jack Doyle wants to make his very own, forever." The very big possessive and protective Alpha in his 6 foot five large body comes out in full force. He knows that no matter what she will be his and the large estate will be filled with many children creating noise and chaos. No matter who or what comes between him and Lucy Jack will ensure that it is taking care of, with a lot of money, and this includes the local Father, who is looking after young Lucy.
This is a fun and engaging OTT insta-love story that pulled me in at the beginning and would not let me go until the end, with a couple wonderful epilogues to see where the couple end up and just how many kids are in their HEA. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to other readers.

A Sweet, Fanciful Tale of Swoon Worthy Love at First Sight...
"Maid for the Irish Mafia" is one of a flurry of new novellas released by author Flora Ferrari, for her "A Man Who Knows What He Wants" series. It is series installment number 138 to be exact.
This one is the tale of Jack Doyle, an older man, presumably in his forties, loosely outlined as a powerful and commanding, yet reclusive, billionaire businessman with mafia-ish ties. And Lucy Fanning, a shy, eighteen or twenty year old (a confusing and unclear detail as both ages are referenced at the beginning) orphan, participating in a church run work/school internship exchange program between Ireland and the States. She is placed in the home of Jack Doyle by said program as a maid. What follows is a fairly straightforward, love at first sight, insta-everything story in keeping with Ferrari's trademark writing style.
This one was a bit out of character for the normally detail oriented Ferrari. Here, the character framework is vague and mostly left within the realm of assumption and off page, as if this story was more about meeting a publishing deadline instead of a labor of love for the author. Are the characters interesting and attention grabbing in and of themselves? Yes, yes they are. Is the plot a sweet, fanciful tale of swoon worthy love? Absolutely! Is it sexy, fiery, and full of obsessively themed insta-love? Yes, yes it is. However, it was unsettled and unclear in places, similar in feel to a previous story in the AMWKWHW, "Maid for the Italian Mafia", and a bit of a disappointment as a result
However, despite the repeated theme overall, it remains an enjoyable diversion. A great way to pass a couple of spare hours.

Flora has written the sweetest over the top instalove story yet with this one. I loved how Jack helped build Lucy’s self confidence, how he unconditionally loved her from day one, giving her all of the live she missed out on while growing up. This fairy tale like story had me smiling constantly, especially with the epilogues - getting a glimpse at their beautiful life years later made my heart so happy.

Lucy and Jack are the latest lovebirds in Flora's book. Lucy applies to be a maid and Jack, the Irish mafia boss, is her boss. From the moment he sees her, Lucy becomes the future Mrs. Doyle. The only problem is Lucy is scared at first. Fret not, she gets over it quickly. However, you have to read the rest of the story to find out what happens to Lucy and Jack.
Do you know what I love about Flora's books? She never wastes time getting to the point of the book. We all want steamy, insta-love, and romance ASAP. Flora Ferrari delivers as always. Continued amazement at how she does it. By the way, no one loves curvy women more than Flora. Thank you for giving voice to them!!

I enjoyed this story a lot. The characters were relatable, I could understand Lucy's fears and Jack's frustrations.
Lucy has left life in a small town behind by traveling to Ireland for a job. The job the curvy young woman has landed is as a maid in Jack Doyle's house. She is given the following instructions "Don’t look him in the eyes and don’t stop working." Being as shy as she is, Lucy figures that shouldn't be too hard since she has spent her life looking down. Everything changes once Jack Doyle’s eyes meet hers. The older man’s desire for her is astonishing. Jack decides that he's going to claim her as his own.
The amount of dedication that Jack has for Lucy was over the top sweet. I enjoyed how Jack had a vision of the way he wanted things to be and then worked towards accomplishing that. Their happy ever after was great. I recommend reading this book.

In this book we meet Lucy Fanning and Jack Doyle. Lucy isn't the most confident of woman but being near Jack makes her want more. She does have dreams but no means to get them. Jack knows with just one look he has found his future. He wonders though what has her looking down and away like the weight of the world is bringing her down. Jack is ready for his future to start right now. Can he convince the woman he's just met to be his HEA or will she run not believing in what could be something beautiful?
This is another amazing hit by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other reader. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very last and will barely let you go. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the older man/ younger woman romance between Jack and Lucy. Lucy comes to Ireland to work as a maid for Jack Doyle, and was told not to talk to him or make any contact. When Jack sees his new maid, he knows she is the woman of his dreams and he wants to claim her as his own. When Jack approaches Lucy, she gets scared and flees. Jack decides he must go and get Lucy and bring her home. I like this instant love story. I like Jack, even if he was a little too pushy. I think he couldn't control himself and he scared Lucy, but she also felt the same about him. Another good one from Flora.

Although there is mention of the mafia in the title, it is only the first chapter, so if "mafia" isn't your "thing," don't let it interfere with reading a great story.
I enjoyed this story because, at least to me, it focused more on the man, his emotions, his thoughts and convictions rather than on the woman he was obsessing over. You are left with a smile on your face, and because I am married and have children, reflecting the story towards my husband as a father. I think this should have been released closer to Father's Day.

3.5 stars Mr. Jack Doyle is a big grizzly of a man who has met his match. For one who does not usually partake in of the fleshly relationship of women he has fallen head over definitely heels in love with Lucy the new maid. Apparently she is just turned 18 and this is a taboo like nobody’s business of him being older gentleman and her just being of age. Her insecurities makes this reading like a tennis match of lust and denial of lust. Interesting book of love, lust and lust.

Another fantastic book by Flore. i'm truly hooked on her works and they really speak for themselves. A great mix of love, comedy and mafia! with an instalove story between mafia boss and maid though not a maid for long! with easily lovable characters. A well written tale that you cant put down, and a formula that truly is owned by Flora and her works!

I've read a lot of books written by Flora Ferrari; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.

I just cant get enough of Flora Ferrari books. Packed with insta heat and sexy alpha men! I really liked how Lucy was a real curvy girl who is dealing with her personal image compared to what society feels is pretty. Really makes you love yourself more, and a hot sexy man who embraces all her beautiful curves.

That book was OTT possessive sweet and romantic. Jack fell so hard and fast for his woman The older man and the shy young woman. The hardened mafia boss and the maid
It was sweet and steamy and funny. He claimed his woman in lightning speed. It was not spelled out but I think Jack was a virgin as well as Lucy. The epilogues were fun to read.

Told in alternating points of view “Maid for the Irish Man” jumps right into it, no doubt that Jack plans to make Lucy his wife.
