Really good but I think books 2 and 3 are my favourite in the series. I do think the storyline strayed a little away from what it the series began like but it was still very fun and engaging.
I left a five star review because the story and the writing definitely rate it BUT I really feel like something was thrown in out of left field!!! I don’t want to spoil it for anyone else so I’m not going to say but I’m not into it and I really wish the author would have put it in the description at the beginning of the series so I wouldn’t have invested in the story!
so in book #3, they made you think one thing and it wasn't true. Yes we find out who did some things but BD wasn't who they said it was. Then, something else happened that made the group think it was over. I knew it wasn't over.
But it still kept me guessing up until the end of who BD really was. I thought if it had to be one of the main players it was going to be one person...
Wrong. So Wrong.
& we finally found out the truth about what happened to Rose. I took off a half a 🌟 because I wanted that scene that happened with BD and not a Fade to Black and then pick back up in the aftermath when they busted in. I felt cheated.
So they're lucky I didn't take off more than half a star. But since I read the book in less than 24 hours I didn't feel like I could do that. I could have finished it yesterday but I made myself hold off on the epilogue until this morning. This series is that good.
Although, I did screw myself by reading this series before I read Sparrowwood. Because there are some Majors Spoilers for that series in this one.

Kenley Keene couldn't let the mysteries go. Rose. Jacqueline. She thinks she knows who is behind the murders and she believes it's the same man, BD who is sending her messages and presents. She tried to walk away but then Alice got hurt. Now Kenley is determined to put an end to the danger young girls in Thistle Cove have faced for years. She has a partner she doesn't trust as she steps deeper into the world of powerful men who crave young girls. She's playing a game that she doesn't know the rules to. Finn, Ozzy, and Ezra don't like it but they understand and they will do anything to keep her safe. Can she find the answers before she becomes another casualty?
This series built on itself and got better as it did. The tension, the twists, the boys. A small-town mystery that was so much more. Kenley was a bit obsessed at times but mostly likable with her loyalty and intelligence. She seemed to think more as the danger increased instead of constantly challenging the establishment. Finn finally won me over 100%. I liked Ozzy but clearly my heart belonged to Ezra. His touch of darkness, destruction, his pain spoke to me. His passion overshadowed the other two for me. Alice was redeemed in a way that was realistic. The Big 3 were varying shades of smalltown gods gone bad. These are the everyday monsters that should scare us. I never became a Rose fan but shockingly became a Luke fan. I would have never thought this was possible and frankly, I am impressed. I look forward to seeing more of him in the future. The epilogue was perfection to me. I love how everything was tied up but nothing was detailed. The ambiguity worked perfectly here.
This was a good series if you are more into ya books. Unfortunately I like my books with a lot more spice but I still enjoyed this series well enough. The mystery of everything going on in this little town was great. I love me a good mystery. So kenley is an ok character. She is strong and fairly independent but she lies alot and although its supposed to be put off as because she's trying protect people or because its "for the case", I just think it makes her look like a jerk. The guys are actually really lenient about it even though they all get mad about it. On to the action part. So the action\ mystery was pretty enticing. Although I kept saying to myself what happened with " bros before ho*s"? By this I mean the girls getting their revenge because they couldn't get some old man money lol Finally was the actual villain or villians. I was surprised but at the same time not. I definitely went back and forth on who was involved and who was BD and everything. So I can say I wasnt really disappointed because it seemed fitting. Ultimately, it was a decent enough series(great if you like ya books), mystery, Nancy drew, high school, Insta love, with the smallest amount of steam put in.
Here’s what this book is about:”Kenley Keene thinks she knows who killed really killed Jacqueline Cates.Who made Rose Waller disappear. Who pushed Alice Kendrick over the edge. She thinks she knows who is behind the mysterious BD persona that sent her gifts and messages. She knows, but can she prove it? And will they get to her before they get them? The risks are high, but she's not doing it alone. Finn, Ozzy and Ezra are by her side. Loving her, protecting her, but is that enough? Are they prepared to uncover the truth?”
I borrowed this book for free from Kindle Unlimited. I enjoyed reading this book and this series. If you like murder mysteries then I would recommend this series. I didn’t want to stop reading this series. I wanted to know what was going to happen. I want to read more books by Angel Lawson.
This series was really engaging, very easy to read, and had a unique plot. It was Pretty Little Liars meets A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, with an emphasis on smut. The series was my first introduction to reverse harem and, I have to say, I didn’t mind it. Though I wish it was not YA, the plot doesn’t work with an older age group. The one part I wasn’t a fan of was the development of Alice’s character and her storyline (which is why the third book received the lowest rating). I think it could have been executed without the sexual assault on her best friend and following suicide attempt/mental facility, but maybe that’s just me. I also think this entire series could have used a bit more editing. Otherwise, I think this series is great if you’re looking for a dark romance/mystery series and it’s on KU!

I picked up book 1 on a stuff your kindle day and forgot about it, amongst all my other tbr books 😂
I’m finally going through it and stumbled across the series.
SUCKED IN.
I loved all the plot twist. The pretty little liars vibes gave me that nostalgia feel. The mystery was just yes. And thankfully we didn’t have as dumb of an ending like pll 😂
This was my second reverse harem series and i honestly wasn’t expecting it with this one but I didn’t have issues with it… just uhm lack of details 😂
Overall the story is fantastic. The plot twist and cliff hangers keep you going. I kept thinking I knew the story and then something would change. I did have an inkling about BD the entire time but I kept second guessing.
Definitely recommend if you enjoy dark, mystery, romance, murder, ya know all that fun stuff.
Exciting conclusion too this insanely twisty small town mystery. Or Kenley and her guys definitely go through a lot in this final chapter of the mystery. A number of twists and turns, and through it all we are the true strength within Kenley. Not to mention the amazing amount of growth and love between herself and all the guys. None of them.are who they were at the start of this tale.... And maybe that's for the best? Only time would tell the amswer. Every step of the way, and with each consecutive book in this series the drama, mystery and suspense never waivered. A thoroughly enjoyable read!!
Wow what an ending! Kenley is not one to back down and when she gets asked to assist the FBI to take down Sugarbabbies she is not going to stop until they catch them. This series is amazing. The suspense, the secrets and betrayals captured my attention since the first book. I love that Finn, Ezra and Ozzy never turned their back on KK and was behind KK every step of the way. It only made their bond and relationship stronger than ever. I was shocked with the revelations that came out and happy with the end. I'm so happy that a certain someone was found. No spoilers!! This reverse harem series is amazing and a must read!!
Kenley has worked hard to find out what happened to Rose and to take down the world of the Sugar Babies app. Working with the FBI, she might get her chance to do what she has worked so hard to do. This book has so many twists and turns that it keeps you guessing until the end. I love how strong Kenley is and how her guys supported her, even when they thought she was doing the wrong thing. The crossover between this series and Sparrowood Academy was amazing and I loved that we got to see a different side of Luke. I can't wait to see what Angel Lawson comes up with next.
This book was a good ending to the series... I'm so happy that Luke gets a chance to redeem himself for all the crappy things he had done in sparrowood academy... he isn't %100 forgiven but he is definitely taking the right steps towards being a good person... I love Kenleys character.. I think i have said this in all my reviews for this series but she really is pretty awesome.. Kenley is a strong character who never gives up... and her boys are perfect.. I couldn't choose between them... sad it's over but happy I gave this series a go!
I would like to start out by saying I was wrong... I did not know who BD really was and holy fucking shit I could’ve never seen it coming! My brain is currently on overdrive and I went through SO many emotions in those last chapters that I don’t think I’ll ever recover.
This series man, it fucks you up in the best kind of way. Gah! I can’t believe it’s over... in case Angel Lawson reads this I vote for a spin off with Luke... just sayin. Definitely pick this series up if you’re a Nancy Drew fan! Fucking amazing!
Keneley Keene has all the determination and clever insight of Veronica Mars, updated into a post millennia small town high school. Her love(s) are genuine ( and she doesn’t have to choose) and the depravity of the older men she exposes in these stories is just, so much worse than the turn of the century beach town Veronica lived in. The writing is good, the themes of sex trafficking and exploitation of young women, girl next door is at times shocking in just how possible it has become.
I love this series. It is such a great read and I cannot get enough of this awesome series. IT moves along at a great pace, making for a comfortable read. The characters are so real that you feel as though you know them personally and no matter what you want to be there for them and the story will grab you and keep you turning pages all the way from beginning to end. This is a must read, no doubt about it.
Thistle Cove is still reeling from past events, and the end of high school beckons. Kenley wants to get back to some type of normal but life has other plans. Hotter than the earlier stories, the danger is more real than before as well, as life gets more complicated for the heroine. I have loved this story extended over four books. As another reviewer said, it would make a gripping TV series. Highly recommended.
Wow, I never suspected the amount of twists and turns this story would take. But I enjoyed the hell out of this rollercoaster. Kenley was a heroine after my own heart and her boys were perfect for her. I do love it when they are protective and determined to make their girl happy.
This is my second series by Angel Lawson and I am still impressed by her writing. This series really pulled me in. I'm not a big suspense fan, but I was hooked from the first book of the series. There were so many twists and turns. I did think the end was a little lacking, though. On to another of her reverse harem series. Also, the author is still in need of a proofreader.
I honestly only kept reading to know if Rose made it out alive or not and I’m so glad she did. By this book everything just got to be repetitive, there wasn’t any real mystery as to who BD was. Kenley was lying and keeping secrets every chance she got despite promising she wouldn’t anymore. I’m glad they got their HEA, but overall it was anticlimactic and could have ended a whole book ago.

Finally, we have our answers, and what answers they are. I’ve loved watching as these characters grew into themselves. They might not have liked every answer they found, but that never stopped Kenley. She was determined to find the answers and make her hometown a safe place for everyone. A great wrap up.
This series was fantastic. I enjoyed the intrigue and mystery and how the story developed. I really liked how there was redemption available for those willing to ask for it. Perhaps my favourite part was how the relationship between Ken and her guys developed - it made sense and seemed appropriate for the age they all are. I’m now intrigued by Angel’s other series!
This was a very good series and written very well. I enjoyed them a lot.
The ending was a bit rushed to me. Wish we got more of how Rose ended up where she did. More in depth view of the main characters futures. Did they all go to the same college?! Did they ever explore more of their relationship together.
All the mysteries are finally answered in the last installment of a series that has more twist and turns than a rollercoaster. This is one of those series I wish I could read for the first time multiple times.
Loved the mixed genre rh romance with a mystery. Loved the mystery interesting story that keeps you in. This book gives all the answers while giving more story. Crossed over and bringing in a character from another series .
Wow!! This was an absolutely amazing conclusion to the Thistle Cove series. Kenley still seeks the truth to the murder and mysterious going’s on in town and is determined to find it with the help of her boys and Luke. The twists and turns will surprise you.
What about graduation? College? Did Rose talk to Finn, Ozzy, and Ezra? Were they ever intimate all together? I feel like a few more pages could have answered these questions.
What happens when everything continues to spiral and you have no clue what’s truth and what’s lies? Every time you think you have it figured out another twist appears and keeps you guessing!!
I loved this series. It had mystery and drama and also some love stuff. I loved Kenley, she's so strong and determined and the boys are right there with her. Great ending too. Thank you Angel for a wonderful series.
