Chasing Lily

Rate this book
He was the high school quarterback while I was the French Club president and only member. He was the college student body president while I was the grade-grubbing pre-law nerd. He is now the biggest real estate developer around while I am the overworked, underpaid environmental lawyer for the town. It seems like at every point in my life, Chace Taylor has been there to make me feel stupid and lame. Yet after we spend one amazing night together, he suddenly turns sweet and attentive. Is he for real? Can I trust him? Can I finally open my heart to love? This is a fast-burn, happily ever after safe romance about two long-time enemies who become lovers.

Loved this quick enemies to lovers’ romance well more enemies on Lily’s side than Chace. Chace and Lily were so good together. Loved their interactions with each other. So much fun to watch.

I enjoyed this story but feel like it needed more. Lily and Chace have a hate-love relationship, mostly from Lily’s side and when they end up together, it didn’t really feel organic. It felt forced. Part of it could be because the entire story is told from Lily’s point of view so we don’t get to see Chace’s inner thoughts. I feel like they needed a little more building of their relationship. It’s a cute and sweet story though

Chace and Lily were always competitive throughout school and now in their professions. She was a lawyer for the town and he was a successful land developer. Chace needed her help because a big conglomeration was going to come in and destroy what they knew of their quaint hometown. Chace had to to convince Lily to help him because he had a secret, he had always been in love with her and now he wanted to make her his. Fun read.

There's always been a competitive relationship between Chase and Lily, first in high school and now in their professions. She's a lawyer and he's a land developer. Now Chase needs her help to stop a big company from coming in and ruining their small town's quaint atmosphere. Can Lily get past her unlike for Chase and help him protect their small town? Great characters and a wonderful, well written story line.

This was not really enemies turned lover kinda story since it's more likely a case of pride and prejudice kinda thing. It was telling us a tale of how prejudice might lead to misunderstanding and in the end dislike (not really hate though. Hate is such a strong word). It was bittersweet how H and h (mostly h) were discovering how wrong they were about each other, layer by layer, through series of misfits events. The plot and story was easily digest and fun to read. I liked how the story conclude that your One was actually the very person you never thought would ended up with. Safe read. HEA.

Chasing Lily: Enemies to Lovers is the first book in the new series Flower Romance. This was the first book I have read of this author and I was pleasantly surprised by the book. It was great seeing the two main characters realize they didn’t really know the other and their presumptions were wrong that they had. The characters were fun, competitive, and perfect for each other. It was one of those books that once you start you can’t put down until the end.

Lily blooms

Chasing Lily is the first book in the Flower Romance series and I enjoyed the story of Lily and Chace. It is a fast-paced enemies to lovers who find out that they don't really "know each other" even after knowing each other for years. When they do discover who the other person is things start to do the "snap-crackle-pop" dance and until they explode between them.
I look forward to the next book in this series.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

"Chasing Lily" is a compelling romance that masterfully subverts the age-old warning about judging books by their covers. At its heart, this is a story about perception, prejudice, and the beautiful journey of discovering what lies beneath the surface.

It was a quick read and it did keep me interested but there were various grammatical errors what kind of made me jump back from the story and tried to fix it in my mind. I'm sure it could just be because of a kindle copy instead of a paper copy that the errors weren't fixed but, apart from that the story was still sweet.

4.5 stars. Lily and Chace have always been in competition with each other. Chace needs Lily help with a corporation trying to take over their small town. Things happen and Lily discovers that she had Chace all wrong. This book is about love, second chance, and never judge a book by the cover. The characters are great. The story flows smoothly. Ok read

This was an so so read for me. Lily I could not warm up to, due to her envious personality and being in a weird competition in her head with Chase. Chase I did like, he had done nothing but live his life. To Chase's credit he liked her Lily's stubborn, snarky hyper-competitive self.

Chase and Lily have known each other since high school. She never like him and it was just her assumptions .
She base this over the school gossip.
Lucky for her, Chase is patient man.
It is a short story and enjoyable HEA.

I've been searching for a book I read awhile ago, but this wasn't the one.... It was however a short read. Okish, just heroine didn't make any sense with her (both life-long and recent) faulty assumptions about any topic related to the hero. It also didn't make much sense for hero to admit loving her a long time, but never approaching her until now.

Violet Theron writes the most romantic books! They are romantic, not always Insta love for one of characters, little drama and super sexiness! Never ever any cheating and a wonderful epilogue!
