I found this book in a used book store in Cooperstown NY. I remembered Tebbetts from his managing days , so I grabbed it. What a pleasant surprise! It reads as easy as a spring training game and gives wonderful insights from a veteran of two of baseballs great eras. Not a complete substitute for missing spring training and the start of the season. A good reminder of what to look forward to once baseballs back.

one of my favorite reads of all time...this was the second book my former boss at Lunghamer Chevrolet (Dave Snelling) gave to me to read...it was as good as the first "who's your caddy" if not better. Birdie Tebbetts rocked! I love baseball, and he played from my beloved Detroit Tigers, so it was a can't miss for me.

This is a fun book to read. Entertaining stories of a great era in baseball.

I was almost disappointed in the fact I finished it in 2 evenings; I wanted it to go on a little longer.
