Millicent McHarg, an eccentric and forthright novelist, is adored by her three granddaughters. When the eldest, Prunella, nicknamed Plumpet, is found hurt and bewildered in her own bed on Christmas morning following a party the night before, her family must at once deal with the emotional pain, and try to solve the mystery. With Plumpet's sisters' help, Millicent prepares to take a grandmother's revenge!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The voices of the characters were well written, particularly Millicent. I was hooked quite early on and found it difficult to put down. I was kept guessing until well into the book and although the ending was slightly implausible, It was still well worth reading. Looking forward to picking up other books she has written.
This was a surprising enjoyable read for me, usually I am anti reading books with multiple characters per chapter telling their version of the same story but this worked and only sometimes was a little repetitive. Worth a read.
