Bestselling authors Kelli Callahan and Isabella Starling present an irresistible, deliciously dark romance series following the scandalous, dirty lives of the elite.
I don’t need three little words. I only need two from my sweet toy. Yes, Master. Violet Cabot is my newest plaything. My obsession with her grows darker with each day we spend together. I want to push her. Punish her. Train her. I want to put her through the most exquisite torture for my own pleasure. She’s going to submit. She’s going to kneel for me. And if anyone comes between us… I have a bullet with their name on it.
Devil's Toy is the second book following Devlin Windsor and Violet Cabot. Their story begins in Devil’s Captive and continues in Devil's Sinner.
And don't forget to join my Facebook group Good Girls Love Bad Boys to be the first to see my new covers, receive ARC opportunities & connect with myself and other readers! We do tons of giveaways and author takeovers too.
Devlin and Violet's story continues as they both try to utilize their contract. Devlin still makes me angry at times with his aloofness towards Violet. And poor Violet is caught in a web of lies and secrecy that she doesn't understand. And that ending! Connor is a villain that I love to hate!
Devil's Toy is freaking awesome! Isabella and Kelli bring you into the depths of Devlin's world and how deprived he can really be with Violet. But Devlin is also extremely protective and in love with her (in his own way), but that will NOT stop him from taking what he wants from her and everyone else.
Violet is with Devlin because of a contract, but she easily forgets that. But when Devlin is a jerk and she finds him making a deal with someone for her she is reminded very fast on what kind of man she is really dealing with.
The sexual heat, intrigue, mystery, and characters will blow your mind. I love this story and can't wait for the next installment!
We see more of Devlin’s conflicting personality in this installment. He does unexpectedly nice things for Violet while simultaneously punishing her. Hell whisper sweet nothings of how she deserves the world while putting her on her knees.
There’s also more than Devlin plotting against the Cabots and the cliffy will leave you wide-eyed and possibly have you chucking your Kindle.

Devlin and Violet' story continues on a never ending rollercoaster that had massive ups and downs but keeps you feeling a rush throughout. Can’t wait for more
Devil's Toy continues from where the first book in the series left off. Violet is now Devlin'captive, she will do anything to save her father and that means summiting to the devil. And he takes his role as Master very seriously and won't accept anything else than total submission from his toy. He wants to rule Violet's mind, body and soul, she is his addiction. But things take a more dangerous turn when an enemy makes his presence known and he's got his sights set on Violet.
Devlin and Violet's relationship is a twisted one, based on pain and pleasure. He likes to debase her but he also shows her tenderness. I was a bit taken aback by his behavior, one moment he uses her like a sex toy the other he takes her to dinner and buys her flowers. I can't really say if I love or hate him at this point. He manages to break Violet bit by bit, gaining her trust and affection but he might feel something more than desire for her. The Master-Slave relationship was well presented.
The book was fast-paced, intense and suspenseful. Yet again there is a cliffhanger at the end and it definitely spiked my curiosity to know how things will turn out for the protagonists. Looking forward to discovering more in the next installment.

I liked Devlin & Violet’s story even though Devlin sometimes gets on my nerves. I love the connection between Violet & Devlin. At times I was hooked to my kindle. Another good read that I enjoyed.
I can't get enough of Devlin & Violet's twisted, sexy, angst, complicated, relationship. This story picks right up where the last book stopped. Looking forward to the next installment by these talented women.
Devil's Toy by Isabella Starling was a great second book to Devlin and Violet's story. This continues where Devil's Captive left off, with Violet in debt to Devlin and in the cage from their last scene. There isn't too much I can add to summarize the story from book one, but Devlin and Violet end up having sex and continuing their Master/slave relationship. Devlin continues trying to free Violet's father from prison while beginning to catch deeper feelings for Violet. I really liked seeing the softer and more caring side of Devlin! He was so great in this book. Violet begins to see this side of him and she also develops stronger feelings, which she kind of had from the start when she was younger. There were a few issues I did have with Devil's Toy. The ending was a cliffhanger, which is to be expected, but it felt so rushed and left me feeling more frustrated than anything. There were some things that didn't feel realistic to the story that allowed for the ending this book had, which was annoying to me. The story did have me immediately hooked and I can't wait for the next installment. I do think that having this be a 6 book series is a bit too long for one couple, this could've been merged with book 1 to get a more complete sense of what is going on and get to know the characters more. However, I really did like this book and seeing their relationship progress so much. I loved the writing and the characters and I'm excited for book 3.
This book picks up where we left off with Violet and Devlin. They are learning their new dynamic with each other and Violet is testing how far she can push Devlin. Will she be able to bend to his will and learn to follow the rules? Or will all of his authority cause her to break under the need to be free? Great continuation. I enjoy seeing how Violet and Devlin’s relationship is evolving as they feel one another out. This book does end in a cliffhanger, so their story is not over yet.

3.5* WTF. First this is not a duet even though if you see the books through Amazon it say two of two in the series this does end in a cliffhanger. In this part of Devlin and Violet's story is the continuation of the back and forth one second she's princess and then a second later she's a brat. Violet comes off as naive and a bit annoying as she tries to seem she is defiant and then the next second she's put in her place. I liked the younger Devlin when he genuinely was looking out for her, the reason he treats her the way he does his explanation is to draw out whoever is behind her families downfall but for someone who says he is not like his dad but he is. Then there is Violet who one minute comes to the realization that she is just a plaything and she is doing it to save her family, then out of nowhere she thinks she can just do what she wants like she's somebody. She also goes back and forth over I have feelings for him and I'm just a toy to him. I continued on because I wanted to know who was the sudden mysterious caller willing to pay big bucks for Violet and who is behind setting up her father. Then there's her mother's journals and in it she talks about two suiters and even though I have a clue who they are I want to know which is which. Just as I'm about to call it a night I decide one more chapter I'll finish it later it starts to get good. Violet over hears Devlin willing to sell her, why his ex secretary sneaking in to talk to her, her sister suddenly desperate to get in touch with her even though they had a falling out. Then she's got a backbone one second and then the next she's weak and having a panic attack. It ends with her jumping the gun instead of thinking things out and lands herself in a situation that ends in the cliffhanger. Hopefully I don't have to wait long for the next book.
There was no lead up and not a lot of emotional work or character work done in this one so my suggestion is to skip it. This series started off well and it is a dark romance so there are a lot of inconsistencies to be expected on the realistic side of things but once that universe is created I kind of expect the author(s) to stay within their own parameters.
This one just felt off because the original plot was just lost and it seemed like a lot of emotional work and discussions were just "solved" by adding another gratuitous sex scene without doing any of the emotional writing to get there, so the scenes just felt hollow/flat to me. So there is not a lot of substance to this book, more like the authors just wanted Violet to get past some sexual milestones and that was it for this part of the series. It would have been more effective to just make books one and two into one longer book so it would all make sense and not feel so thrown together. It felt like these were all the sex scenes they wished they could have written into the first book, like scenes that were left out during editing, but were just too "good" to be left out of the series entirely. Yep wished this wasn't part of the series right now; book two bombed for me. Here's hoping that book three has some actual content that drives the story further.

Wow Devil's Toy is book two of the Fallen Dynasty and this was just as good as the first one. Violet was dropped off at Devlin and now older he calls himself as the Devil he believes he takes after his father. Violet has been secretly in love with him, she stayed with him and his dad after her father dropped her off and said he will be back for her until the house maid let it slip that she will be staying the night, she was shown her room then the maid left. The story goes between past and present days, it was present days mostly. Violet was loosing everything she was lucky to escape with the clothes on her back it was all confiscated, she had know where to go so she went to Devlin's home to talk with he promised he would always look out for her. Devlin hesitates then asked her to come in after all he was sent away because of her, he told her she can stay in the same room as before. She had signed a contract with Devlin the devil that she belongs to him body and sole so she could get everything back, he humiliates her in front of people her father has done business with. Violet doesn't know whether to laugh or cry or even how long will this go on for.

I read a series of books about fairytales and in one of the books there was a dilemma...The Charming Dynasty, that produces all the Prince Charmings was dying out. Only little female Charmings were being born. What would the storytelling world be with a Prince Charming? GASP!! Truthfully, I’ve never been a fan of Prince Charming, riding up on a white stallion to save the maiden stories..that’s why I love Linnea May’s books. There is never a prince, there’s almost always an anti hero..so far in this series Devlin is still more anti than hero. If Violet is confused by Devlin’s behavior sometimes I’m right there with her. My only hope is that Ms. May keeps her sharp edge that has always been there in her books. I’ve read only a few books by Kelli Callahan and everything by Linnea May. Ms. May has always been able to redeem a male character who I always felt was beyond redemption. Please don’t go easy on this book. Darkness makes the light even brighter. Don’t lose the darkness.
This is the continuation of Devlin and Violet's dark romance. There is more background about their childhood which gives insight into their relationship. Also there are more scenes where Devlin has to contend with the adversarial and competitive relationship with his letcherous father. Although Devlin has some redeeming qualities, he continues to be a master of manipulation, humiliation and domination. He uses those skills to try and mold Violet into his perfect submissive. Violet's strong character continues and while she struggles with Devlin's contolling nature, she is beginning to crave her submissive side. Old enemies surface causing betrayals and misunderstandings that lead to a cliffhanger ending. I am loving this series and I am anxious for the continuation of the story in a "Devil’s Sinner"! „Devil's Toy” is the second book in „Fallen Dynasty” series written by Isabella Starling and Kelli Callahan. I was waiting for this story, when I ended the first book „Devil's Captive”. Now, when I ended the second book in series I am in waiting for the third book. I really need more!
Devlin Windsor showed his real face in this book. He is bad, addictive, and he is a totally alpha. Violet must do everything he wants, sometimes these orders are so much hot! I really don't know what the authors were taking when they wrote this book, but I need this too! Devlin humiliates Violet and he makes her his toy. Real toy I mean. She in on his grace and she doesn't have a choise. She must do all these things, even when she is naked a long time.
But Devlin is also her silent protector. He is doing everything to keep her near him and take her father from the prison. Violet doesn't know who to trust, but one call change everything.
I reall need a continuation of this series. And I really need it fast. This story is everything that you want in a short, but good romance book.
As Devlin and Violet's story resumes you can expect plenty more tension, secrets, twists and intensity. Devlin is the type of character that somehow manages to be off-putting while still managing to be a monumental gravitational source that continually draws you closer to him. Darkness shrouds him and so many of his actions are questionable and yet, you feel that there is good buried in him. Violet you just have to feel for. With little understanding of the situation she finds herself in, the man she has struck a devil's bargain with or who she can actually place her trust in, I would liken her to Alice. An Alice that has been thrust into a sinfully dark, twisted and steamy wonderland. Try to prepare yourself for the cliffhanger and then join me in my desperate need for book three. This is my elective, candid review.
Violet is being held captive and she is expected to submit to Devlin in any way he wants. He will humiliate her and make her his submissive little toy and he uses her father being in prison to get what he wants. Violet wants to help her family and get her father out of prison and Devlin promises her he will help.. But there is another man more evil out there that wants Violet as well and will do anything to get her, even if it's by manipulating and lying to her. She doesn't know who to trust and she feels like every one is just trying to own her. This is the second book in ths series and does end on a cliffhanger. This book is definitely more steamy and twisted and gets better as the story goes on. I personally enjoyed this book just as much if not more than the first book and cannot wait for the next one to come out. These two author's definitely know how to write a story together.
Devlin has taken Violet in when her father is disgraced and they lose everything. He continues to torment her and use her as his plaything but is Violet hating it as much as she should. Devlin is still battling his father and a mysterious voice on the phone who seems hellbent on buying Violet from him. Violet's sister is constantly trying to get in touch and when she finally does, makes Violet doubt everything she believed about Devlin, their contract and his promises to help her father. The consequences are devastating. I can't wait to see where the next story will take us. This book is very hot and steamy, if dominant and frankly at times, bordering on abusive men, are not your thing, tread carefully. Another great story from these ladies.

Devil's Toy is the second installment in the Fallen Dynasty Series and must be read after book #1, Devil's Captive.
Devlin and Violet' story continues as they bring their contract to fruition, their exchange becomes clear and 'acceptable' to Violet and even somewhat surprising for Devlin. Violet is Devlin's possession, but also very coveted and, as so, the Devil's obssession is other's too. Devlin is playing a game of cat and mouse with the obnoxious proponent, one he hopes to catch and destroy, BUT....Violet is in the dark and confused with intensions, suspicions and insecurity regarding her curcumstances. Well, she should have trusted the Devil and what her heart always recognized, that thread of care and protection Devlin's exterior was never able to extinguish.
Devil's Toy takes us a little more deeper into the dynamic between Devlin and Violet. Devlin's different personalities are unveiled to us. He has this obsession or addiction to own Violet in every way possible. One minute he is showing pain and pleasure through their Master and submissive roles and second he is taking her out and buying her things. I am not sure if it is a game he is playing or he just enjoys different roles. They have a very twisted relationship. At moments I was unsure with his behavior, like should she trust him. Somewhere along the I feel they both may be developing feelings for each other. This push and pull / pain and pleasure dynamic between these two was very well written.
I have to say that this book is intense and twisted at times with some drama and suspense. It does end on a huge cliffhanger leaving you wanting more!
Wow the story just gets more tense. Devlin finally breaks her into his perfect submission. He may have gone about it very roughly but it is still a Dom and Sub relationship. Violet is start to enjoy her rewards and trusting the man she has loved forever.
But soon as things are getting better, Violet hears a telephone conversation Devlin has and her world has been turned upside down. There is a bigger Devil round the corner and Violet just doesn't know yet. Devlin is actually her Saviour as he always has been.. Unfortunately it is too late for Violet to realise as the Devil gets what he wants.
That cliffhanger!!! Noooo I need to know what happens next..... Please let Violet be OK
Love this authors books. Just be aware of the triggers and these books are very dark. So you must be prepared for anything and everything.
Devlin has this hero/anti-hero quality that takes everything you have learned about both type up several notches. He is so dark, evil, twisted... yet he's so good and addictive you just can't get enough.
And neither can poor Violet. She submits because, well, he is giving her exactly what she needs when she does. But, he's also fulfilling something for her not even she knew she craved.
This story is spell-binding, captivating, and downright steaming hot. I'd recommend this one several times over as I know anyone who is a fan of this genre will be wiping the drool from their chins when they are done downing a tall glass of ice water.
*I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.*
This is the second book in this series. The focus is still on Violet Cabot and Devlin Windsor. He tries to stay in control. No romantic notions. But he buys her father’s estate and presents it to her. And he arranges for her to see her father in prison. And she is fully in board until she overhears a phone call. One where it seems he is selling her. But when she finally talks to her sister, Georgia convinces her to run. Will she escape the Devil? Or is that the biggest mistake of her life? I literally couldn’t put this down. It is compelling and full of miscommunication, danger and passion. I can hardly wait for the next book. Yes, please give me more!
I did receive an advance copy for my honest review.
Dark Romance 🖤🖤 Possessive Anti-Hero 😈 🔥🔥🌶 Cliffhanger 😩
Devlin and Violet' story continues as more of the contract is fulfilled. Violet now realizes she will do whatever Devlin wants, even if that means she will be his toy. Devlin has very conflicting emotions for Violet. But one thing is for sure, he will do anything to keep Violet safe. Things are going great until Violet overhears a call. This call starts Violet thinking. Does Devlin really care or is she a commodity to be sold and traded? This thinking gets her into the clutches of someone far more dangerous. What will happen to Violet? What will Devlin do to get her back? I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a complimentary copy.
Devil's Toy is book in The Fallen Dynasty series. It's dark, twisted, savage, cruel and monstrous. Violet taught that she was going to save from disparity that just came down on her family when she signed Devlin's contract. However, things got darker, darker as he show her multiple sides of him. One minute he's nice to her and lavish her with expensive things and minute he's spanking and debasing her. The story was engaging and unputdownable with complex characters and devious story that captures the audience attention from the first chapter and keeps invested until the end. It's addicting and a page turner. It's a great continuation of the series which ends on a killer cliffhanger.

This is book 2 in the series. Picks up from the cliffhanger for Devlin and Violet. This book does feature BDSM, Devlin wants complete submission from her. He is bouncing back and forth though between wanting a complete D/S relationship, but then he finds himself doing sweet things like taking her out shopping. I still find myself at times softening to Devlin, at least compared to book 1, I think he is very confused about the feelings Violet instills in him. He is trying to protect her from her family. She is naive and too trusting of them, much to her detriment. This book also ends on a cliffhanger. Can’t wait for book 3!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The series is called Fallen Dynasty; this book starts where Devil's Captive left off, so you need to read that before The Devil's Toy. The story follows the elite rich, and who has the most power to control others. Women are a commodity to be used-toys. This portion of the story was sizzling! Devlin demands Violet's submission and subjects her to humiliation; she participates fully and willingly. But Devlin's complicated relationship with his father, and the relationship between the Windsors and the Cabots has me puzzled, and I’m not sure which dynasty is going to be the one to fall. It feels like Violet and Devlin have gotten closer, but nuggets of the past are being dropped all over the place! It's a fast-paced, twisty read that leaves you on an OMG cliffhanger.
I received a copy of this book. My honest opinion is voluntarily provided.
Read this as I had also read the first installment, Devil’s Captive, and I wanted to continue reading to see if the heroine was able to find herself in a better situation with the absolute brutal Hero here. Spoiler: she doesn’t.
I really did not care for this story, but it has stuck with me because the level of cruelty portrayed here is just so awful. How anyone thinks it’s ok for a grown man (I think he’s described as being 28) to humiliate and abuse an 18 yo girl, is beyond me. All I wanted her to do was get away from him, but this doesn’t happen.
It’s a sad, corrupt story. Definitely not for me, and I don’t recommend.
The story of Devlin and Violet continues in book #2.
Devlin has shown others the power he has over Violet in the most humiliating way and yet she still craves the touch and words from this man. We get a good view of his feeling watching his princess blossom into the young lady she is today and sees a, dare I say, softer side of him.
I’m mixed with emotions, I want to hate Devlin but I also see his plan and his need for total control and trust from Violet. She needs to learn and be patience but it’s getting harder to do this when she only sees one side of the coin.
What a twisted mind we get to be inside but then again, it’s what we enjoy the most of all.
Violet wanted to help her father, so she had to make a deal with the Devil. Now that the contract is signed will Violet regret being owned by Devlin? Or will she enjoy submitting to his demands? Can Devlin deliver on his promises? I enjoyed this addition to Devlin and Violet's story, although I find Devlin can be a bit to quick to punish Violet who is still learning what to expect about their relationship (not that she has much say, even though Devlin is obviously a bit obsessed with her). I do want to find out what happens next, I have been left hanging a bit here. I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received, and giving my thoughts and opinions on it.
