Ok read

I’m not sure how to feel. I only read part 2 to figure out what happened next. I didn’t have my usual excitement when reading KC books. And the grammatical errors through me off because KC is usually really good at not having errors. There were quite a lot.

Interesting and Great Read

I see why Lake was closed off. It was hard to receive and reciprocate love. Her Aunt that raised her was a damn mess. I'm glad she had her cousin Chloe there to defend her. Lake father Larry didn't make it any better. He made a choice to protect his daughter but even that came with a price. Larry thought he was going to use Lake to get to Isiah. Anybody with common sense can figure out how Larry got out of prison. Isiah knew he had to show Lake love instead of telling her. Especially when it was revealed how Lake grew up. While trying to protect her. Isiah had his own demons he was battling with as well. Finding out Odin tried to set him up, Liv battling health issues, making sure his sister Ema is healthy mentally, dealing with Noel delusional ass, making sure he keep his freedom, etc. Was weighing heavy on him. Isiah and Lake was each other peace. They were good for each other.

Great Story, lots of errors!

So, I’ve been a fan of K.C Mills for a while and I will still be one after this. I would have gave the story 5 stars, but this one had waaayyyy to many typos, wrong words, and misspellings then I’m use to. Especially from the OG. We need a better proof reader on deck. I don’t need nobody messing up the talent that I know this author is capable. Minus that I still love and appreciate her story telling!!

I love this story

Lake and Isiah had so many obstacles in their way but still managed to trust the love they had even when family was in the way. I need chloe to get her own story.

This series was so good, it had the right amount of drama, great chemistry amongst the main characters and a terrific plot. It could’ve been a 5 star read but I felt like the author and others kept harping on the main characters cousin Chloe. It was like they were trying to insinuate something about her that never came to fruition or panned out. I loved Chloe cus she was fun, a loyal friend and really stood on business about Lake. It was annoying to keep reading how she was loose, how something was off ect and there was genuinely nothing wrong with her. She was never sneaky she prioritized Lake and provided her solace and love. So I didn’t rock with all the side characters comments about her. Additionally I’m happy Noel finally got the hint at the end but I do feel like it was kinda dry and quick. Like Isaiah told her in 34 languages 6 chapters and 2 books that he hated her what made the final time so different? I just feel like the author rushed that along and it left me wanting more. You had the readers beefed out with ole girl just for her to disappear never to be mentioned again. At the end of it all this was a HEA and that’s the most important part for me. I also appreciate the fact that the author wrote two full books yet didn’t drag it out and do too much.

what happened to the original ending!!

I noticed the ending of the book was switched l was disappointed. I like the original ending better where Emma & Landon were pregnant and together. Emma deserves that happiness. Switch it back . Also there are typos on lake and Isiah baby boy name is it Issac or Israel . Other than those changes still one of my favorites!

on what love will do

What a ride this series has been. I feel like I need more of the secondary characters with their own books lol. I dragged this read out because I didn’t want it to end.

Love this !!!!

Lake and Isaiah had me so wrapped up in them. The author pulled from so many emotions that kept you in a whirlwind of feelings. The love was potent and genuine. Isaiah's leadership was unmatched. Excellent series!

Family can't be trusted sometimes

Lake father Larry was selfish, and her Aunt was no better. I bet Larry wishes he didn't take the deal? Odin was wrong but he got his in the end. I'm still not feeling Noel. Isiah was a man of his word. He kept everyone he loved safe.

YES YES AND HELL YES AGAIN

Can you say “Isaiah and Lake”...Finally someone is getting it..An Author is writing the stories that Readers “Want to Read”..Tired of the same stories where everyone man is “trash” and every female is on the “pole”..Although it might be for some...it isn’t that way for all..I feel that as the Author evolves and grows so should their work because the reader will..Isaiah is a breath of fresh damn air..Did what he did until he found what he needed and wanted..Lake went through “IT” and didn’t turn to the streets to cope..Which made their connection all the more better..I love the way their individual stories were told and threaded them together in their now...These are the characters Today’s Series should be made of..Believe it or not People are Looking for HOPE..This Series affirms that how you start doesn’t always dictate how you end..Could definitely read more Isaiah and Lake Bossing up to anyone coming for their love...Thank You KC Mills

Great story

I gave this a 5 star because of the storyline. The characters were great but the only thing that had me messed up was the fact that no one took the time to proof read this story. There were so many typos in this story I could no keep up. There are too many vices out there to make sure words are spelled correctly. If you have a proof reader, then I suggest you find another one. I had to keep going back to re read what i read to make sure it made sense. Other than that, the story was really good and the characters even better. I recommend this book along with the first one. You will just have to get over the typos.

Great Read

This book kept you going. It was full of no good family members that only wanted to look out for what was best for them. Isiah would hurt anyone that tried to harm his family. Lake and Em were his everything. Lake's father and aunt were the worst family members anyone could have. If it wasn't for Chloe she would have been left in world alone after losing her mom. Loving Isiah was the best thing to happen to Lake. Isiah kept his word and protected Lake. Great ending.

Awesome read 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Isiah was everything 😍 A true man of his word. I loved how he loved Lake and would protect her with his life. Lake was indeed a runner because she didn’t know how to receive it considering the evil ass aunt. Larry didn’t care about nothing or nobody but himself and look where that got him. Noel still aggy. I wanted to feel bad for Odin but eff him I just wish Isiah would’ve learned of the role he played in his dad’s murder. So happy Ema got a chance at her happily ever after. This author is literally the dopest can’t wait to see what’s up next 🙌🏾🙌🏾

Simply amazing!!!

Yass hunny! I loves a well rounded romance. What Lake and Isiah shared was magical. Two kindred souls that found each other to give the only thing that lacked in their lives which was love. I felt that everyone who dealt a dirty hand got their just deserts but Auntie Mini would have caught several hands. They betrayal of Lake’s father was despicable but Lake definitely wasn’t no push over. Isiah was life and his unwavering love and support was unmatched. One again I’m left wanting more and can’t wait to read what’s next.

Great read!!!

I swear you are one of my favorite authors 😁 This book was well worth the wait because I feel in love with these characters. Every woman wishes for a love like Isiah had for Lake. He went to war over that woman. Lake was not given the most ideal childhood but I'm glad she found he happy ending. I can't wait until the next release. Keep up the good work because you came back strong sis.

Great read

Another great read. The story line was interesting. Loved Lake & Sih. Sih was so caring for the women he loved. I knew that daddy dearest wasn’t s**t. So glad Ema found someone to love & understand her. Although there were loads of errors it didn’t take away from the story. I don’t believe I have ever read a book written by this author with so many errors. And I have read all her books.

Wow

I am NEVER disappointed with this author. I read a review before starting to book, that stated it was slow moving.... I disagree!!!! I love the way KC gives background so there are no questions and you are not left wondering about anything. I really loved how Isiah loved Lake🥰. Certain parts make you look at how you really love someone. I wish Mini would've been SLAPPED but 🤷🏽‍♀️. Great book and even better ending. And I love that the books were lengthy.

Nay

This was a good end to a great series. I loved how he loved Lake and brought her out of her shell. I can't believe how her dad could risk his daughyer happiness and freedom from his. Isaiah is a steaight boss he handled that like a boss. He took care of everyone who was a threat. I hipe you give Chloe her own syory cuz i need sis to have a happy ending and we find out all the detail. Great job can't wait for your next book

Good ending

I enjoyed this series. There were quite a few grammar & spelling mistakes which disrupt the flow of the story because I’m piecing together what you actually meant. I liked Lake & Isiah’s relationship a lot. Everybody got what was coming for them. I do wish we didn’t have to have so many interactions with Noel but that’s mainly because she was getting on my nerves lol.

Happy endings

I knew right off Lake was going to be one of my favorite people. Bless her heart, she endured so much pain in her life that unfortunately started with her family. But, she didn’t let that stop her. It may have gotten in the way but she didn’t stop until she trusted herself to love and trust Isiah.

If you don’t correct any of the numerous errors in both books, PLEASE correct the title of Marvin Gaye’s song in your first book. Let’s Get It On!

Sy makes me Sigh 😚

This was a great ending to an amazing story. Lake and Sy was good together and he played no games when it came to her. Anyone could get it family included. I really wished harm to her aunt, that lady was miserable. Glad Lake had Miss Ruby and Chloe and gained Cyn and Emma because every girl should have someone on her corner. I gave it 4 stars due to the poor editing in the epilogue. Other than that great read.

Loved it

I love love! It's amazing how often we don't deal with childhood trauma and then try to be in a relationship with other people. I believe that Lake should have went to counseling to deal with all her insecurities and other demons. I'm glad she found love, but therapy is important as well!

K Charelle (KC MILLS) is phenomenal. Her penmanship is outstanding when crafting these eager and page turning novels .. such a great read with characters you’ll fall in love with. A little annoyed with some of the grammar mistakes but not too many to make me throw the book out the window. I can’t wait to see what’s next now that she’s transitioning to an indie author

Casualty 2

No better feeling than being loved and to have someone love you back. Isiah was such a good man I just loved how he made sure that Lake was his number one priority . I'm glad that Em and Landon stayed together despite Isaiah trying to run him off. I'm glad Chloe and Cyn found someone as well. Great read.

👍🌹

Omg the way that he loved Lake...was WOW!! His love and spirit about her was bar none, sure a love. The story moved a little slow and an way more typos that this author normally has but the story was still good. So happy when Noel and Sonja was put in the place they should have stayed in. Happy for Ema too.

It was alright

Usually I love all the characters but I just couldn't connect with Lake for some reason. She was whiny and insecure even though she made it seem like she wasn't. I understood her past but fresh she gave my boy hell for real. But I loved me some Isaiah. He was all man and his attitude and demeanor screamed I'm the boss. Wasn't the best but def not her best..
