Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.
I'm a former firefighter/EMS guy who's picked up the proverbial pen and started writing bad boy romance stories. I co-write with my sister, Ali Parker, but live in Texas with my wife, my two little boys, my daughter, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle.
Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.
You're going to find Billionaires, Bad Boys, Military Guys and loads of sexiness.
Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.
What a beautiful story about a rock star and a normal, perfect woman in a small town by the beach. All characters were well written, story flow was excellent and kept me glued to my kindle until I finished it. I recommend this book to all who like to read about rockstar love, fake relationship that becomes something more...
Callen was grieving his wife Alice's death and trying to raise his baby girl, Winter while traveling with a band. His little daughter came first and he was a wonderful father. He shunned the typical rock star lifestyle of drugs and sex. He knew he must get off the 'road tour' and settle down somewhere with his daughter and give her a more normal life. He chose Myrtle Beach, SC because it was a place his late wife loved. Fate brought them together with a beautiful ice cream shop owner named Tiffeny. She was perfect for them and the chemistry between her and Callen was explosive. There was so much drama and lots of twists. They definitely took me on an emotional roller coaster. Callen still suffers from his wife's death and guilt over replacing her. The book is well written with strong well developed major and minor characters. The book is a page-turner and hard to put down once you begin reading. No spoiler here but it will keep you guessing as you make your way to a beautiful ending. I read an arc copy for the author and voluntarily chose to write a review. This is one book you don't want to miss as Weston Parker doesn't disappoint.
Keeping Secrets is a beautifully written single dad/fake boyfriend romance story that pulls you in and keeps you hostage till the very end. Weston Parker weaves a story about love, healing, second chances, family, and finding yourself. There is some angst, instant chemistry, secrets, and of course... incredible sex.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
Excellent writing and storytelling. A true, true love story.
Rockstar and widower Callen and his three-year-old daughter Winter move to Myrtle Beach after their road tour is over. Callen lost his wife three years ago and it still feels like it was just yesterday. He has not moved on and feels like he cannot move on. he doesn’t think he will ever love again, but when he meets Tiffeny, his heart flip-flops and he realizes he is attracted to her more than anyone since his wife’s death. Callen continues to write music, but he needs a break from the tour life to reengage with his daughter Winter. She is totally unhappy with her school in LA and loves her new school in Myrtle Beach. Everything about Myrtle Beach is homey, comfy, laid-back and serene. A total turnaround of the hectic LA rockstar life. as Callen and Winter get more and more settled in their new home, Uncle Clark comes to visit and convinces Callen to go back on the road. He leaves without telling Tiffeny goodbye, literally breaking up with her in one word sentences on the phone. It is so tragic. It breaks Tiffeny’s heart. Callen cannot go through heartbreak like he did when he lost his wife so he closes off love. It takes him a couple of months to realize he’s not happy, not happy with the way he left Tiffany, not happy with the way Winter feels, because Winter keeps asking when are we going home daddy. It’s at that point that he realizes he is in love with Tiffany and he should’ve never left. There are surprises waiting for him when he gets home. Will Tiffeny forgive him? Or has he ruined it? you will love this book. It’s full of all kinds of emotions, good and bad, and you can see people changing their personalities to accommodate what is going on around them. Awesome.
Tiffany is a curvy young woman who is determined to keep her ice cream parlour in business - but it isn't easy. Then, one day, an adorable little girl, called Winter, and her gorgeous dad, Callen a widower and rock star, stop by for some ice cream to brighten their day. They are taking a break from the 'world' as they make time for each other. Now Callen isn't looking for someone to replace his dead wife nor provide a mum for Winter, but Tiffany certainly makes his heart beat faster and begin to think of the future with her firmly embedded in their family. Attraction between them is in abundance and Winter dearly loves Tiffany and the feeling is mutual. This is a story that the reader can easily fall in love with the characters. It is a sweet storyline which is believable and enjoyable to read. It is a very readable story and well written by Weston Parker. It's another one of his books that you just won't want to put down till you reach the very end [but then, just maybe, you'll read it again!]. I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended.
Reading about rock star are not always my strong point, however this story has a strange but wonderful twist. Callen a guitarist for the Kraken band wanted a break from the band for not only him but his daughter Winter. Callen promised his deceased wife that he would get a house near the beach. So Callen packed up and moved to Myrtle Beach and bought a home for him and Winter. Tiffeny a business owner in Myrtle Beach meets Callen not knowing who he is, finds him very attractive. The romance blossms slowly because Callen has not had a relationship with anyone since his wife’s death. The connection between Callen, Winter and Tiffeny is so special throughout the story. Tiffeny whose relationship with her family is strained because she did not follow the goals that her family wanted for her. The love in this story pulls at your heart and brings out the happiness and sadness as reading. I recommend this book to all. It shows you the importance of family. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC for my honest review.
I loved this new novel from Weston Parker filled with grief, heartache, secrets, witty banter, friendship, passion, healing, forgiveness, and love. Tiffeny comes from a well off family but has decided to own an ice cream shop. Callen is a single father and rock star on break following tragic heartbreak. When Tiffeny and Callen meet it's awkward to say the least but as they begin to spend time together sparks fly and a real relationship quickly forms until the past and Callen's unresolved pain threatens to rip away their happiness. Keeping Secrets is an emotional tale of healing from grief, learning to love again, and a pretty real representation parents in this type of situation face when their children grow old and begin asking the hard questions, as well as the guilt they feel at the beginning of a new relationship for being happy. A touching must read that readers will fall in love with. "I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this novel."
Callen has no doubt had a rough go with his wife dying from cancer shortly after their daughter was born. He's going through the motions, his young daughter is unhappy and he knows something needs to change. That change comes when his rock band disbands thanks to a manager who just wouldn't listen. So what's a single dad to do? Pack up, leave LA behind and move to Myrtle Beach, the town where his wife grew up. He and his adorable daughter love it. What he didn't count on was Tiffeny, independent ice cream shop owner. Sparks were instantaneous between the two. What started out fake quickly turned into something real, but secrets may tear them apart. Tiffeny's mother is a piece of work and shapes how Tiffeny has approached much in her life. Tiffeny didn't expect her mom to come through when she needed her most. This story had plenty of emotion to it and kept my interest from start to finish, as most of Weston Parker's stories do.
This is one of my favorite books of Westons. Callen has to learn what it was like to be a single dad and a rockstar. After losing the love of his life how was he to come back from that. She was is everything. His daughter was his whole world now. He would do anything to make sure she had what she needed. While things would never be the same he decided try something new to put a smile on his girls face. What he didn’t know was if he would ever smile himself.
Tiffeny was determined to find her own way in the world. She didn’t want the preplanned life her mom had chosen for her. She just wished she had there support. Following her heart and dreams was important to her. She would do anything to stay true to herself. Even if falling in love with the someone who could destroy her along the way.
Keeping Secrets is a heartwarming new release from Weston Parker.
Callen is a guitar playing rock star who decides that it’s time that the leave the spotlight to raise his daughter and learn to move on after the death of his wife. He moves them to Myrtle Beach, a place that this wife always treasured.
Tiffeny is trying to make her own path, which greatly differs from her parents expectations of her. She meets Callen while presenting a business venture at his daughter’s daycare. The connection and heat is instant.
The love and dedication Callen has to his daughter made the book so lovely. The chemistry between Callen and Tiffeny was off the charts. I loved reading their story in learning how to love again after loss and how to be accepting in the face of challenges. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
It’s a love story. It’s a story about healing. It’s about friends. Callen lost his wife shortly after his baby girl was born and she has been his number one. He has closed himself off to all but his best friend, Clark, who tells him he needs some time off away from the band. He and his daughter move to Myrtle Beach and immediately feel at home. He meets Tiffeny, owner of the ice cream shop, and is stunned by his feelings that he thought were long dead. His best friend Clark encourages Callen to open up his heart and get past the grieving to give his daughter a fuller life. Tiffeny has not had very good luck with her man choices. Her bestie, Julia will not let her close off and live for today when she meets Callen. Well written and a most enjoyable story. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
This was a very lovely story about finding love again after loss, with an interesting footnote about how even bad behavior can be overcome. The chemistry between Callen and Tiffeny sparks from every page, especially while they’re trying to resist one another. I was all in with this pair. Or at least I was until it all started falling apart. Then, I was left scratching my head over how silly Callen was being. Mind you, I know perfectly well just how irrational emotions can be. And this story was a bit of an emotional roller coaster. I found I experienced everything from laughter to tears, joy to anger, and all the variations in between. Now I’m desperately hoping there’s going to be a book about the best friends in the future. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
I thought this was a very sweet story with an honest portrayal of falling in love again after loss. Callen wasn't sure how he could go on until Tiffany woke up his heart. He had to fight past his tests and doubts to let her in. Could he do it when his daughters heart was on the line too?
The only thing that I didn't like about this book was the way the author wrote the dialogue for the supposed 3 year old. It was seriously advanced. She spoke like someone who was like 7 or 8. So ridiculously unbelievable. It detracted from the story for me. I like it when the author can capture a good child POV. It adds a layer to the story. The other secondary characters are funny and entertaining.
I also wished they wrote out some of the lyrics to the songs Callen was writing. It would have added even more depth the story and just been fun to see.
Tiffeny, an ice cream shop owner, has an awkward first meeting with Callen, a rock star on hiatus, at the day care where he intends to enroll his daughter. As the story progresses awkwardness seems to be their theme, fighting against themselves becomes difficult, and finally taking a moment to process everything could backfire. Weston Parker’s Keeping Secrets is a lively tale about learning to let the past stay where it needs to be, accepting the present is not always pleasant, and hoping that the future will follow a brighter path. You will definitely keep this one a secret guilty pleasure read.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
After taking a year off from being a rockstar, Callen and his three year old daughter Winter move to Myrtle Beach three years after the death of his wife Alice, which still feels like only yesterday to him. While out with his daughter getting some ice cream, they run into the beautiful shop owner, Tiffeny, whom Callen already ran into at a daycare he plans on placing his daughter into, and Callen finds himself feeling things he hasn’t felt since his wife died. Their chemistry sizzles from the start, but when Callen leaves to go back on tour, he doesn’t really realize the new life he is leaving behind until several months later when he returns to see if he can repair things with Tiffeny. Will it be to late to fix his mistakes? And will Tiffeny give him another chance?
Callen is a rock star and also a widower with a daughter. He has had a rough time since his wife died. He takes a break from performing and moves from LA to Myrtle Beach. He is checking out a day care for his daughter when he runs into Tiffeny. Tiffeny is the owner of the local Ice Cream parlor. She invites Callen and his daughter Winter to have some ice cream at her store.
Callen went through a lot after his wife died thinking he couldn't love anyone else. But Tiffeny proved him wrong. Loved the flow of the story and the way it was so well written.
This is such a great read and I am hoping to read more about Clark and Julia. There was definitely something brewing between the two of them.
Callen meets Tiffeny when he takes a break from his rock star lifestyle and time to finally grieve the loss of his late wife. He just wants to spend time with his young daughter and feel alive again. When he meets Tiffeny he is instantly attracted and wracked with guilt about being unfaithful to the memory of his dead wife.
Tiffeny feels the same instant attraction, but is feeling the same apprehension about starting a relationship. The friendship between them turns to a relationship, but doubts nag at Callen with each step he takes with Tiffeny.
This is a good one by Weston. It keeps you engaged and wondering what will happen next. I loved Clark and wish I had a friend as supportive and caring as him.
Another great story of love, forgiveness and healing from Weston Parker! You’ll be enveloped into the story of Callen and Tiffeny as they work to their new normal. Callen, a single father of 3yo Winter works through taking a break from his rockstar life while dealing with the grief over the loss of his wife and raising his daughter when he runs into Tiffeny. Sparks he didn’t expect to ever happen to him again when he meets Tiffeny encourages him to take a chance on love. Tiffeny being a disappointment to her parents by owning an ice cream shop never thought the love of her life would walk in and sweep her off her feet. You’ll laugh, cry, get mad as you walk with them through their story. A journey you’ll definitely want to take.
Keeping Secrets by the talented Weston Parker, was a great story that has a whole lot of heart that will pull at your heartstrings. We meet rockstar single father Callen who is ready for a break from the life in LA so he packs up his daughter and heads to Myrtle Beach. Tiffeny a small ice cream shop own meets the handsome new comer and this is just the start to one great story. This was a well written story it was hard to put down I finished it in one sitting. I couldn't help but fall for these great characters and let me just say the youngest character definitely stoled my heart. Weston definitely did one incredible job. I absolutely loved this story and I highly recommend it.
Omg this book was absolutely fantastic and a emotional rollercoaster ride. It will suck you in from the beginning until the end. Cullen lost his wife not to long after giving birth to their daughter winter and pretty much lived his life for her and music and the band, but when things happened it's time to settle down but what he didn't expect was to have those feelings of thinking about another woman until he sees Tiffany but will he give into them or will he continue to live in the past and raise his daughter all alone for the rest of his life? Tiffany doesn't believe theres a man out there for her but she meets Cullen she wonders if she has a shot or will she end up alone? I loved this books and all the different emotions that connect with you and loved winter. Congratulations Weston Parker on another Fantastic Book.
I was hooked from the start! I loved Callen right from the beginning, his heart, his pain, his love for his daughter... amazing! There was the perfect amount of emotion, sweetness and heat. Tiffeny is a strong, smart woman that caught my attention. They have a great connection and will take you on a ride. My heart twisted for them both and the ups and downs they experienced. Winter, Callen's daughter is adorable and I loved her. This is such a great read and I am hoping we get more from his best friend Clark and her best friend Julia. There was definitely a spark there!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
These kind of stories are always so hard for me to read. The emotions they bring forth are heartbreaking yet just the small promise of happiness keeps me reading long into the night. As with any book I have read by this author, I found myself deeply involved in the outcome and it was a humbling feeling to have had the pleasure to read an ARC. I feel in love with our main characters and secretly had palpitations, tears, and butterflies. I can't articulate the how much I love this author and the writing style. All I can say is that I highly recommend this book along with others I have read in the past.
Do you believe in love after losing the love of your life?
This single dad romance was lovely. It was so special to see the love he had for his daughter. Putting her first. Then he falls for someone, who has not only captured his heart, but has captured his little girl’s heart too.
I loved this little love story. I loved the way this rock star dad put his daughter’s needs above his own. I love how he forgave himself for feeling the guilt he did for falling in love with someone else after his tragic loss of his baby mamma.
Tiffeny and Callen definetly tried hard to figure out the pull they had, but they clearly could not resist it.
A lovely little love story that captured my heart and I certainly fell in love with little Winter
I absolutely loved this book! Callen is a rockstar single dad to a toddler and Tiffeny is an ice cream shop owner. He's slowly healing from the loss of his wife and needs a break from his hectic life; she having a hard time dealing with her mom and an arrogant landlord. I can't say more ;) It's an unputdownable, easy to follow, charming and gripping love story with great characters that came to life and feel real; some are a bit colorful lolll It's a sweet and steamy storyline with some drama and emotional moments. I received an ARC for this book in exchange of an honest review.
Wow! Where do I start? This book showcases a beautiful love story, a heart wrenching second chance for a man and his sweet little girl, and a story of healing. Callen is amazingly honest and good to his core. Tiffeny is so mature, understanding and accepting of everything. Several times I needed tissues, once I was sitting in a waiting room reading and laughed out loud so everyone stared at me. (Kind of embarrassing, but when words can make you both cry and laugh out loud, you have found a great author). Another great read from Mr. Parker!!
Enjoyable- Loved this story. This story is about Tiffany and Callan. She owns an ice cream shop and Callan is a successful rock star on hiatus. They bump into each other at the day care where he intends to enroll his daughter and their meeting is very awkward and that awkwardness carries on. They both have emotional issues to overcome and it takes time for trust to build. They both have a past that is driving them and letting it go isn’t easy. A nice, easy pleasure read. I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book from the author
Rock star romances are not my favorite but Weston definitely knows how to pull you in with interesting storyline and great, relatable characters. Tiffeny and Callen had a great chemistry from the start. Their story is filled with emotions and learning how to give love another chance after loss. There is a bit of drama and some unexpected twists. But in the end, Tiffeny and Callen found their perfect and heartwarming HEA. And now I hope their friends will have a story also!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Once again Weston Parker delivered a beautiful story, written with an absolute love and determination. Keeping Secrets is such a heartwarming yet heartbreaking story where the past is trying to destroy the future of 2 people in love.
The story takes you through a journey full of emotions such as grief, fear, guilt, anxiety, happiness but mostly love.
Will this two characters survive the agonizing battle between then and now? Or will they let tragedy consumed their last hope to love and being loved again?
As always Weston gives us an outstanding book, I highly recommend it.
